    Hi:
    I am trying to add a clickable link to open a web page.  I would like it to be visible on the presentation area (top) of the "Consumer Service Catalog".   I can make the button, but when clicked nothing happens.  I have tried several of the button commands like onclick, but then I get a js error.
    Thank you

  • Clickable links in Target Properties

    Is there anyway to have the fields within the Target Properties such as Comment or Contact show up as clickable links to an external URL?

    Oracle replaces the HTML with the &lt and &gt tags, which from a security point of view is absolutely correct behavior, but we have a need to show links to another internal website where things like operational procedures and details about the host already reside. There really is nowhere in Grid to be able to input additional info about the targets (that may be needed by an operator for instance)

  • DB link between Oracle 9i and MS SQL server2000

    Hi,
    Is it possible to create a DB link between Oracle 9i and MS SQL server 2000.
    If it is possible what are the different ways of creating it.
    Is it possible without purchasing any propietery drivers.
    Thanks,
    Rohit

    I've never seen any documents stating that the enterprise edition is a requirement for the heterogeneous connectivity ....
    There are 2 ways to set up the connection with MS SQL - using generic connectivity driver (OLE DB or ODBC) or using the Oracle Transparent Gateway.
    The generic connectivity is free and comes with Oracle DB - it has several limitations - for example you can't call MS SQL stored procedures from Oracle.
    The Oracle Transparent Gateways are packaged , the MS SQL gateway is part of the Open System Gateways package ($15,000.00 per CPU license cost) and i has less restrictions.
    Overview:

  • Clickable Link in TextEdit

    Can you make a URL in TextEdit Clickable
    With this Script there is no Clickable link. Did not see anything in the dictionary but thought some Shell Script or something.
    tell application "Safari"
    set myUrl to URL of front document
    set Toy to name of front document
    end tell
    tell application "TextEdit"
    if document 1 exists then
    set text of document 1 to text of document 1 & Toy & return & myUrl & return & "===============================" & return
    else
    make new document
    set text of document 1 to text of document 1 & Toy & return & myUrl & return & "===============================" & return
    end if
    end tell
    Made this for X-Mas Shopping but need to do some refining
    Thanks

    The way I would do this is to make an HTML document (Webpage) and use AppleScript to edit it. Here's how.
    First, run the following script to make the file.
    set mypath to (path to desktop) & "GiftList.html" as string
    set thefile to open for access file mypath with write permission
    write "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN\" \"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd\">
    <html xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=UTF-8\" />
    <title>Xmas List</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    " to thefile
    close access thefile
    Set myPath where you want the file. Change the "Xmas List" text to the name of the document as you want it to appear in the title bar of Safari.
    Next, replace the entire TextEdit part of your script with the below (keep your Safari script above this).
    set giftPath to (path to desktop as string) & "GiftList.html"
    set giftFile to open for access file giftpath with write permission
    set giftText to read giftFile
    set oldD to AppleScript's text item delimiters as string
    set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "</body>" as string
    set bBody to first text item of giftText
    set aBody to return & "</body>" & return & second text item of giftText
    set AppleScript's text item delimiters to oldD as string
    set toAdd to "<p>" & Toy & "<br/>" & return & "<a href=\"" & myUrl & "\">Link</a>" & "<br/>" & return & "<hr/>" & return & "</p>"
    set eof of giftFile to 0
    write bBody & toAdd & aBody to giftFile
    close access giftFile&lt&
    Set giftPath to the path you used earlier (where you put the file you made).
    This will make a new paragraph with the text of your Toy variable. Then, on a new line, it will put a link to the site in your myUrl variable. It will also add a horizontal bar between toys.
    To add more items, just run the second script again. Added entries will appear below existing ones.
    Let me know if you have any questions or want help modifying this.
    Good luck!
    -Nate

  • Clickable link in Appt

    Does anybody know if there is a way to have a clickable link in a calendar item? For instance, say I have an appointment and want to include a link to google maps so I know where I'm going. Can I include it in such a way that I can click on the link in my phone and it will launch either the maps or browser?
    Thanks

    I suggested this at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html not too long ago.
    As of yet it is not possible, however.
    Try suggesting it, the more the merrier.

  • Making clickable links in GUI?

    Hi,
    Well, I'm making an GUI application and I wanted to have a clickable link to my website, I thought using HTML would be a good bet, but it doesn't work, I was thinking of using util but I'm not exactly sure..

    Swing related questions should be posted in the Swing forum.
    JEditorPane provide some basic support for loading HTML pages. Read the API for more info.
    You can invoke IE as follows:
    **  Here is a pure Windows solution
    **  Run the code and you will be taken to a tutorial that may provide
    **  a more generic solution
    public class WindowsFileProtocolHandler
         public static void main(String[] args)
              throws Exception
              String[] cmd = new String[4];
              cmd[0] = "cmd.exe";
              cmd[1] = "/C";
              cmd[2] = "start";
              cmd[3] = "http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip66.html";
    //          cmd[3] = "will.xls";
    //          cmd[3] = "mailto:";
    //          cmd[3] = "a.html";
    //          cmd[3] = "file:/c:/java/temp/a.html";
              Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec( cmd );

  • How to make a clickable link into a JOptionPane

    Hi all,
    I've created a about menu for my app with a JOptionPane and I'd like to know if I can insert a clickable link to my email on this, so when the user clicks it, it will have the same effect as it would have on a web browser.
    Is it possible?

    Yes.... You can put other things besides strings into JOptionPanes. Such as you can put a JEditorPane that displays some HTML, which can in turn have links in it. Or buttons that look like links.
    But I've also had problems in modal dialogs in some cases where clicking the links in HTML doesn't work correctly (the HyperTextEvent doesn't get fired).
    As for same effect... Well, it's usually more complicated than that. Applets are simple (Applet.showDocument(), or AppletContext, whatever it is). Otherwise you need to do something different. Search the forums for posts on launching URLs from applications, there's plenty o' info.

  • Making background image clickable link

    I have several div tags with background images in them.  I want to make the background images clickable links.  what is the easiest way to do this?

    Yes, the background image can be made clickable.
    Here is the link to get the info to one method: http://ran.ge/2009/11/11/css-trick-turning-a-background-image-into-a-clickable-link/
    Basically it is written like this:
    ==CSS==
    #bkgrdimage {
        background-image:url ('image.png');
        display:block;
        height:??px;       (image height)
        width:??px;        (image width)
        text-indent:-9999px;
    ==HTML==
    <a href="http://????" title="Title of Link" id="bkgrdimage">Basic Text For this Link</a>
    The text indent places the "basic text for this link" outside the browser screen.

    Robert,
    I suspect your Database Access Descriptor on XE is not /pls/xe, but it probably is 'htmldb'. Same for probably the port (unless you specified port 80 at installation/configuration time). So try:
    http://localhost:8080/htmldb/hr.hot.rss
