Clicking/Browsing Around iTunes Store - Unexpected Quit

Hello all.
I know there is another similar and long post in this section talking about similar things, but thought I just start another fresh post with a "narrower and specific" problem:
*My iTunes will quit out unexpectedly when I start clicking around/browsing around the store;* I was only in the Music section, trying to look for Madonna's latest unreleased album, and when I did a search in the search field and click to show all the albums by Madonna, iTunes quit.
But last night I was in the store, buying a soundtrack and a movie, and everything seems OK
Thanks and cheers

I am having the exact same problem! Everything works fine most of the time, but since upgrading to iTunes 9, it randomly quits every now and then when I'm browsing/searching in the iTunes store. Probably a bug in iTunes 9. On a similar note, my iPhone has been randomly shutting itself off every now and then since the upgrade to 3.1.

I just discovered a fix from a couple of years ago on Apple Support:
In may case the network was already at the top of the preferred networks list.
Based of of a hint over at MacOSXhints.com, here's how I fixed this problem:
    1. In the Network references pane, delete the Airport connection that does not like to reconnect.
    2. Click Apply and Quit the System Prefs app.
    3. Put the computer to sleep.
    4. Wake the computer.
    5. Go back in to the Network pref pane and re-add the Airport connection. Do not try to connect to the network at this time.
    6. Click Apply and Quit the System Prefs app.
    7. Use the Airport menubar app to connect to your network.
    8. Verify connectivity
    9. Put the computer to sleep.
    10. Wake the computer.

  • Error message when I click on the iTunes store icon in iTunes

whenever I click on the iTunes store icon in my Itunes it says "iTunes could not connect to the itunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again. I run the diagnostic in the help menu and it says my connection is fine and I can logon to the internet with no problem. If anyone has a clue as to what I should do then that would be fantastic. I am running Windows Vista and iTunes 9.

  • ITunes keeps unexpectedly quitting. Can't pinpoint issue.

I can't find any definitive answers on here as there seem to be many causes for these crashes and nothing too recent.
Either way, iTunes keeps 'unexpectedly quitting' everytime I start iTunes. The problem seemed to start after I synched with my Apple TV, though I can't be sure they're correlated. I've tried turning off home sharing. I've reinstalled iTunes. Software up-to-date. I've gone through this forum and can't find anything to help.
Attached is the specific craash report. Can anyone help?
    THANKS!

Also, the crash is preceeded by an 'Allow incoming connections' prompt and another about Changing Firewall preferences.

  • ITunes keeps unexpectedly quitting after installing Leopard

After installing Leopard, iTunes keeps unexpectedly quitting? I've tried recreating the iTunes library with no help.

i had the same problem. finally i found out what was going wrong. it was the digi core audio extension that messed up my itunes. so if you are using pro-tools you should have a look into this possibility.
if not you might want to try and remove any non-apple audio extension and see what happens. don't trash them as you might be able to pin point the problem to only one extension.

  • Click on the iTunes Store it only loads half way and gives a blank screen...

My internet connection is fine, and when I open up iTunes everything comes up right, my iPod works perfectly. But when I click on the iTunes Store it only loads halfway and gives me a blank screen. HELP!

There are at least 20 threads pertaining to this problem (some from last year, one I saw was from 2006). I suggest anyone who visits this thread redirect to https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3223139?start=0&tstart=0. It has the two most popular solutions and anyone with ongoing issues can discuss and/or form an unruly mob there.

  • Iphone 6 tells me that "Item not available" in my country UK, when i click on the itunes store icon for the app to open the music, movies or tv shows section of the app. is this a bug?

I am based in the UK and have just got a new iphone 6, everything works well except when i try to turn on the itunes store app -  i can do a search and buy music etc that way, within the app, however, if i go to Music, Movies or the TV shows section within the Store app, i get a message come up saying "Item Not Available" - This item you've requested is not currently available in the UK Store, but it is available in the US store. Tap Change Store to view this item".   I therefore cannot browse the music, movies or tv shows sections at all, nothing shows up except that message.  All my previous itunes purchases have downloaded ok, and i can access them. My apple ID works fine and restrictions on the iphone are turned OFF. The App Store app works normally. Connection etc is all fine and I can access itunes  in the normal way on my ipad and laptop, so this is just an iphone problem. Any ideas? is this a bug? I cant find anyone else with exactly the same problem. By the way, the same message comes up when i click on the red Music icon, on the iphone (situated next to the Safari icon) and then go to the "Store" via that app.  my playlists are in tact, but as soon as i click that Store button, I am told that the Item is unavailable - not that i have chosen any Item lol, I just want to access the store in the normal way. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you can give

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

  • App store unexpectedly quits

When I start the app store on Mavericks it unexpectedly quits, does anyone know why or what would cause this?

I updated my iPhone 6 plus to iOS 8.1.1 today. App Store still crashes when the search returns a large number of results. I was never able to get to the bottom of the list to browse all app candidates. I have not yet installed any app since I got my brand new iPhone out of the box.

  • Itunes gets "Unexpected Quit"...

...every time i open it up. It takes about 30sec. to a Minute before I get the "spinning beach ball of death", but sure enough it crashes every time. I referred to earlier posts which suggested that it may have something to do with the automatic updates from the podcasts or an ipod problem, however they were to no avail.
    Any solutions?
    -Thanks,
    Dan!

  • Why can't I open iTune Store on my PC?   When I click on the iTunes Store box, I get the message that the iTunes Store has stopped working.  This happens everytime.  What is wrong with my download?

My PC is running Windows 7.  I have downloaded the new OS Version for iTunes onto the computer.  It all works fine from the iPod Touch, but when I click the block for the iTunes Store, I get the message that "iTunes has stopped working".  What is wrong? How can I fix it so I can purchase from the store on my PC instead of having to use the small keyboard on the iPod Touch?

There's an issue currently that a lot of us are experiencing in that we all get the error message "iTunes is currently unavailable; please try later"
It's an issue with Apple and we're awaiting an update re this
I've posted a topic in regards to this after having a long conversation with Apple support this morning and will be receiving a call from their tech team tomorrow to run through it further
As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues!

  • TS1368 When I am looking at iTunes on my PC, running Windows 7 (updates are complete), and click on the iTunes Store block in the upper left hand corner, I get the message that "iTunes has stopped working".  What can you suggest?

iTunes crashes when I click the iTunes Store block.  What can I do to get the iTunes Store to open on my computer running Window 7 (all updates installed)?  It used to work last fall but some update must have reset something or the newer version of iTunes omitted something that would allow access to the Store from a PC.

  • ITunes keeps unexpectedly quitting

I just bought a brand new MacBook Pro today. iTunes 9.2 now decides to just keep unexpectedly quitting on me; it won't even open, it just quits!! I'm getting quite frustrated!! Help?
Oh. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall. Didn't help.

None of that helped. I tried deleting the Genius and the next time I opened the iTunes folder in Finder it had just reappeared.
yeah, iTunes will recreate that file - not to worry
I looked through the report for why it keeps quitting, and there's an exception type that doesn't sound good: "EXCBADACCESS (SIGBUS)" with the exception code: "KERNPROTECTIONFAILURE at 0x00000000000009"
the most important part of that report was omitted, bur never mind. try repairing permissions using *disk utility* (in your applications > utilities folder), then reboot. don't worry if you see a lot of error messages. that's pretty normal (see _*permission repair messages you can safely ignore*_).
if repairing permissions doesn't do the trick, boot your Mac into _*safe mode*_ and launch iTunes while in it. does the app crash ?
