  • Facing Strange Problem in DIR HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR? (through parent script/ movie?)

Summary : HARD QUESTION : In the DIR file, the game runs well, right click = no effect. Coz I'm not making right click scripts. BUT in EXE file, right click = ERROR.
    Explanation :
In the Adobe Director screen, this DIR file game is worked 100%.
I tested right click EVERYWHERE... NOTHING HAPPENS.
Because I don't make any programming with "on rightmouseup" or "on rightmousedown" command.
THEN, I published it into EXE...
I tested right click EVERYWHERE...I hoped the result will be the same as DIR tests....
WHEN I RIGHT CLICK IN THE AREA THAT'S GIVEN ON EXITFRAME ME, IT SHOWS ERROR, CHANGING PICTURES.....
this does not happened in the DIR file...
I didn't make a runmode program or anything else.... This is awkward... mystery for me...
WHY THERE'S A DIFFERENCE IN DIR and EXE... it should be exactly the same result.
I have used Director for years.... This is really strange for me...
    >>>>>>>>HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR?
THIS ONE is useless.... It doesn't prevent the rightmouse click,...
          on rightmouseup me
                 nothing
         end
          on rightmousedown me
                 nothing
         end

    Dear Adobe Forums friends
I need your help and guide through this problem...
In the game's dir file that is run on the DIRECTOR softwawre,
the game runs perfectly, I can do LEFT CLICKS (coz I programmed the script)
and when I do RIGHT CLICKS = there are no effect ( coz I don't do script for it)
LATER THIS GAME TURNED INTO EXE.
It supposed to run like the dir file as ABOVE. BUT STRANGELY, WHEN
I DO RIGHT CLICKS, it turns Error and showing as the picture attachment.
The right clicks that goes error are above the picture of numeric button only. (in DIR file
this run normal). I looked into the script behind the numeric button picture, there are only "on exitframe me", there are no script I made inside the "on exitframe me" that is triggering RIGHT CLICKS.
    1. I wonder why there are differences in DIR and EXE effect
    2. Why right click? Left click effects are all normal.
    3. IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE ALL RIGHT CLICKs since the beginning of EXE. So the game will be run normal. I don't need right clicks anyway, but whenever people do right click there will be ERROR.??
    4. Is there any way to STOP THE MESSSAGE BOX TO APPEAR IN FRONT OF THE GAME? (I hate the Dirrector Error Message Box), or auto press OK.
NB: this game uses Buddy API Xtras, File IO Xtras.
    Thx
    David S

  • TS4080 apple thunderbolt display image on display intermittently goes dark, does not wake from sleep after clicking mouse or keyboard, but there is "bonk" sound after clicking mouse or pressing keys. Rebooting by pressing the power button resolves issue.

My apple thunderbolt display (which I purchased 1.5 years ago; OS 10.7.5 Mac Mini) intermittently goes dark, does not wake from sleep after clicking mouse or keyboard, but there is "bonk" sound after clicking mouse or pressing keys, so am thinking it is a hardware problem with the display. Rebooting by pressing the power button turns the screen back on, but the same phenomenon has occurred several times. Could this be a software issue, or do I need to have my display repaired? Your feedback would be appreciated.

Hi ED, tough to tell, but it does sound like it's waking with the bonk, just not displaying.
    Long shot but...
I wonder if it's a variation of this, of which I've seen many different symptoms...

Move the mouse or trackpad cursor over the center area of the login window so you can see the user icons. Click on the icon of the user that you would like to login as, type in the user's password, and press Return.
If the login window is configured to show only the name and password fields, type in the user's name and password into the fields, and press Return (even if you cannot see the rest of the login window).
    Additional Information
This issue will not occur if the display is not sleeping when the account is logged out. Use the steps below to confirm that the account is not configured to log out automatically while the display is sleeping:
        1.    Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.  Click the padlock to unlock the preference pane and enter your admin password. Click the Advanced button at the bottom, then see if the option "Log out after N minutes of inactivity" (where N is the number of minutes) is enabled.
        2.    Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and configure Display Sleep to occur after the account is logged out, by dragging the slider to a number of minutes that is greater than N was set to in the previous step.
Important: If automatic log out is not needed, disable "Log out after Nminutes of inactivity" in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. This will also prevent the issue.

  • Best Tutorial and Wireless Clicker/Mouse?

I need to put together a powerpoint type presentation for a talk I'm giving and knowing nothing about powerpoint but plenty about Macs, I figured keynote was probably the way for me to go. That said, anyone know of a good tutorial out there for it? And secondly my dad (who uses powerpoint and a pc) has a wireless clicker/mouse that allows him to walk the room and still click to the next slide and move the mouse around. Anyone know of a good one for the mac that will work with keynote?
    Thanks

Regarding a "+wireless clicker+", you could use the Apple Remote described here:

I can't open Photoshop by right clicking mouse or double clicking on a photo on Bridge. The right click does not give me Photoshop as an option.

If it's the cursor you're talking about In Windows, try this:
    Right-click the desktop.
    Choose Personalize.
    Click the Display link.
Change to a slightly different size.  For example, if you're at 150%, try using the Custom sizing options link and setting to 149% or 151%
If you're seeing what Trevor is showing, without a delay, it's possible your left and right mouse buttons are swapped.

  • Everytime i press and hold my left click mouse button, it automically highlights everything from that point to the top of the page

Every time i press and hold my left click mouse button, it atomically highlights everything from that point to the top of the page. Also note, if i'm holding the left click on the scroll bar it goes back to the initial location even when i try to drag it up or down.
Opened up internet explorer and the problem does not occur there.

  • Shift + click mouse

    Hi guys,
I am creating a Oracle form that will work as a LOV form since the multiple selection is needed.
Now, how can I create a trigger so when a user press shift and click mouse together it will highlight all the selections?
    Also, Ctrl+ click?
    Thanks!

There is a system variable for this called system_mouse_shift_state I think. Look in the online help to find it.
But even better, just grab the multiple select sample from the Oracle Forms 6i benefits and demos at:

  • Clicking mouse many times

Every time when I want to open a folder in Finder (Documents or Events in iPhoto) I have to click soooo many times to open it. The only time it opens directly is when I click the right side of the mouse and than "Open in New Tab"....
    Any ideas????

In that case, I suspect the mouse is faulty.

  • Trackpad Click / Mouse Click

After installing Leopard...if i try to use the trackpad click it will not work and it stops mouse click from working. Powerbood G4. The mouse click works until I try to use the trackpad click.

I'm having a similar issue with my MacBook 2GHz. I installed Leopard a couple of weeks ago, been working fine and just this morning, when using Mail, I clicked on a mailbox and it seemed to lock on it as if I was trying to move the mailbox but I couldn't drop it anywhere. I couldn't click on anything else, had to use the keyboard to save work in a few applications before restarting. Since restarting, my wireless mighty mouse works fine but if I ever tap or click the trackpad, mouse clicks become disabled on the trackpad and on the bluetooth mouse as well, forcing me to restart again. All is well as long as I don't tap or click the trackpad. Any ideas?

  • Left clicking mouse acts as if I'm right clicking, and comes up with right click menu?

Hi I was wondering whether anyone could help me with this, I've had this problem for a week or so now and it's beginning to get frustrating.
I have a newish iMac, bought in January, and I've been having this problem the last week or so, where when I left click something, it acts as if I am right clicking it and it comes up with the right click menu. I has happened mostly while on the internet (chrome), but also when I'm just on my desktop, but less often.
It only happens every so often, and rights itself after a couple of minutes. What could be causing this, and how do I stop it?
This is my first ever post on here, so I do apologise if I have been vague or I have posted this question in the wrong section, I am also new to macs (well since January).
The mouse I am using is a dell wired mouse, a couple of years old, which I just plugged in without the need of installing software etc.
Many thanks for any help in advance.

    Hello & welcome!
No worries, you did great for a 1st post, & this is generally a friendly place.
It sounds light it's the Mouse button from here, to test it...
Go to System Preferences > Mouse, change the Primary button to the Right button... does the Right button ever do that now as the left button?

  • Clicking mouse after closing JDialog sends event to last component (1.1.8)

There seems to be a bug in Java 1.1.8 that I'm looking for a workaround.
I have a JButton on a JFrame that brings up a modal JDialog when you click it. After closing the dialog, if you click on the JFrame without moving the mouse, it will click the button on the frame that was last clicked, even if the mouse is not over the button.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Use the mouse to click on the button on the frame to bring up the dialog.
    2. Close the dialog with the mouse or keyboard and don't move the mouse at all. (Note that the mouse should be over the JFrame at this point, but not over the frame's button.)
    3. Click the mouse again.
    Result:
This causes the button on the frame to be clicked.
It seems as if the frame thinks that the mouse pointer is located where it was when the dialog came up.
Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or a workaround?

We are using 1.1.8 because our product has to run on Mac OS 8.x - 9.x (and this is the latest JRE supported by these platforms).
When I say don't move the mouse, what I mean is when closing the dialog, if you don't move the mouse, it doesn't matter where the mouse pointer is, as long as it's over the frame. When you click it, the last button to get clicked will be clicked again. It's as if the frame thinks that the mouse hasn't moved since the dialog came up. This isn't a focus problem because if I set the focus on another control after opening the dialog (by calling requestFocus()), this problem still happens. I can also tab to another control after closing the dialog, but when clicking the mouse it still clicks the last button that was clicked. It's as if the frame needs to reset where the mouse position is when it becomes activated.
