Clicking noise of volume control buttons

Hello all!
Several months ago i bought Iphone4 and after i discovered "clicking" noise of volume control buttons and the power button. It's a really disappointment... so what can i do with it? Is there any solution?

Quick questions:
1 - have you reset your PlayBook?
2 - do you have an HDMI or Bluetooth audio device connected - these prevent the audio working?
3 - if any of those haven't fixed it, can you still take a screenshot by pressing both volume buttons together?

    Hi,
    Try the following.
    Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50856.exe
    When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
    When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

  • Volume control buttons don't work for iTunes in speaker mode

    Using onboard speakers (no headset on my iPhone 4S, the speaker buttons are not working.  In fact the slider ICON in missing in playing music as well as the ringer ICON that comes up when I press the buttons.
    I can go into settings, Sounds and manually move the slider for Ringer and Alerts, with "Change with Buttons" set "on, I can then press the volumn buttons on the side and see the slider move up and down (right and left).  But as soon as I leave that screen and press either volumn up or down on the side, the Ringer ICON comes up but the slider part is gone.
    In this case, there is no sound out of the speakers.  However "Siri" works fine.
    And in phone mode, I can use speakerphone and hear audio out of the speakers.  (In fact in phone mode, speakers or headset works fine).
    All other apps the speakers are inop and the volum control buttons are inop.
    It's like it's in perminent "mute".

    I got out my air compressor and literally blew the S* out of the docking port.  I did dock the iPhone to my car dock port as a test, played music through the car.  Then undocked and the volume control and speaker sounds all restored.
    Not 100% it was cleaning the docking port or that I unwedged the software by docking into some different device.

  • Every time I plug in my headphones into my Macbook Pro, my volume control buttons don't work.

    Every time I plug in my headphones into my Macbook Pro, my volume control buttons don't work. Even after I unplug my headphones they don't work, they get stuck on the level of volume it was at when I plugged in the headphones. I can control the volume if I go to system preferences and do it that way, but that is such a pain. Also, in order to get the buttons to work again I have to completely restart my computer which is also a pain! What should I do, or can do, to fix the problem?

  • Why did i get a different headphone from the one in the pic? It has no volume control button.

    I am really dissapointed with my order. I bought an apple headphone with remote and mic online, and i received a headphone that doesnt look and function the same as the one advertised. It has no volume control button with the + and - signs. This is the second pairs i bought the headphone and this one definitely looks different from the pairs i had previously. I hope someone can clarify this thing, and it's really troublesome if i wanted to return the headphone.

    Are you sure you ordered the earphones WITH remote and volume control? Look at your bill; does it say something like "with remote and mic"? I think you should contact Apple Store for their assistance. Perhaps they really made a mistake and shipped you some old stock item. I agree, shipping and reshipping takes time and is troublesome. Hope you'll find a solution though.

  • FATALITY GAMING USB HS-1000 volume control button doesnt work

    I have just bought CREATIVE FATALITY GAMING USB HS-1000 headset. Everything is ok, except of volume control button on wire, it just doesnt work. I have installed and updated drivers, nothing helped. I have readed few topic on similar issues, but there wasnt any solution. My OS is winXP SP3.

    Have you tested your headset jock or where you plug your headset? It may be coming from that, as you have said you have tested the unit in another pc.

  • Rattling volume control buttons

    Just a small point but having moved from an original iphone to new 3gs I notice that the volume control buttons rattle around - very noticeable when the phone vibrates in the cradle. On the original iphone the buttons were very solid with no movement (except when pushed!) Is this just the way things are made now?

    I also had the 2G, but also had the 3G and going now to 3Gs there is a difference in the snugness of the silent switch, at least on mine I can tell it's definately not the volume buttons...if you do a bit more investigating you'll probably find it's the silent switch not the volume buttons...
    And yes it seems there are a lot of people that have this same experience...you can try to have Apple swap for new phone but it's a 50/50 chance they will...

  • Xps 11 volume-control button

    My xps 11 volume-control button (front left side of laptop) sometimes works as volume control, and sometimes starts NARRATOR. Has anyone encountered this situation or had the problem fixed?

    The following discussion on the Microsoft boards discusses problems where Narrator starts by itself or is turned on by a volume control button.  It may prove to be of help.
    Disable narrator from Startup.
    a) Type MSCONFIG into your Start menu and press enter to start the Microsoft Configuration Utility.
    b) On the Startup tab, search for Narrator.exe.  If it exists, uncheck it to disable it from startup.
    This is Microsoft's paper on Narrator and it mentions how holding down the Windows KEY and enter or the Windows key with the up volume button will turn on Narrator.
    Press the Windows key and X together to bring up mobility and see if Narrator is mentioned. Uncheck it or disable it if it is.

  • HT4623 my volume control button on my music disappears - any ideas why?

    My volume control button on my music disappears and therefore so does my tone when I get message or calls.  Any ideas why?

    Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.
    Relaunch the App and try again.
    Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
    Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
    Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137  For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
    Test the issue after each step.  If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

  • Quicktime volume control button

    I am facing the following problem when importing an mp4 file as quicktime object on Director 12.0 (on Windows 7): I have Controls button checked so that the user can pause and play the video or control the  volume. Althought everything works fine when i play the movie on the stage, when i publish it, in the .exe file the volume control button (and only this) doesn't function properly: the volume bar isn't displyed and so i cannot control the volume of the video. Any thoughts?

    Hello Comi,
    I just tried the same with a D12 projector on Windows 7 and the sound control button did not function.
    The only solutions I can think of is to create a separate volume control button.
    This statement sets the volume of the QuickTime movie playing in sprite channel 7 to 256,  maximum volume.
    sprite(7).volume = 256
    I have a volume button sample .exe. Let me know if you want to check it out.
    Peace,
    jack

  • I've just had a keyboard firmware update and now my volume control buttons wont work

    i've just had a keyboard firmware update and now my volume control buttons wont work.
    Has anyone else had this problem? if so have they found out how to fix it, or is this an on going issue?

    Hi,
    Your problem has some similarities to this problem that I reported earlier this month that that still arises every few days. I was thinking that my problem was related to some sort of bug in Entourage, but maybe it's something else...

  • How to disable click noise with volume bar

    I own an HP Pavilion dv6-1030us laptop, and when I adjust the volume with the volume bar touchpad, the computer makes a lot of clicking noises -- it will click for 3 or 4 seconds straight even when I make the slightest of adjustments -- and I was wondering if it's possible to modify/disable the clicks. I wouldn't care if it only clicked once or twice, but when it goes on for this long it gets annoying.

    Some people might not be understand how it can be done!.   Just go to the speaker icon on system tray and click on mixer.  Then try to increase the volume through quick launch volume button on your HP laptop. You can see the QLB button appeared on the mixer. Just mute it and thats it!  you are done!.  Have a good time guys...............

  • IPhone 6 clicking noise coming from home button and also a little loose..anyone else have this issue or suggestions on how to handle it? Any and all suggestions are appreciated

    It seems as if when I push my home button there is a loud click or a clicking noise that shouldn't be there.  If I push the home button in certain areas or kind of on the side it's not so bad.  Also it seems as if the button is kind of loose or wiggles a little bit and can also feel the little silver ring and seems as if it's either not on properly or the home button is sunken in pretty good.  I was at the Apple Store and checked out some display models and didn't notice it on those and they all felt solid.  Has anyone else had this issue or experienced this?  Any and all suggestions will help greatly...I just want to know if it's normal or how I should go about taking care of it...thanks!

    ok...the doctor is in!....well, yes I agree with other posts concerning "clicky" crunchy touch id/home buttons...ah... we do swaps, cleanings, alcohol wipes....NO NO NO! yes dirt can and will trap inside the extreme minor spaces around the home button and the screen cutout..yes twirling a q-tip round the button only stuffs grime deeper in, but can clean the edge...in this case, that crunch you hear (new out-of-box), its a very popular notice that most do hear a crunchy glass-like snapping sound...being that the touch id does have a sensor ring on the outer side, the actual noise your hearing is ........wait for it......MISS-ALLIGNMENT!!!! yes... pop that sucker open, remove bracket....what do you see??. touch id pressed thru and adheared around the ends of the button...and also most cases, not perfectly aligned..that noise is the actual ring brushing against the screen hole cutout causing metal and glass to bind against eachother... re-seating the button will correct the issue..being that theyre so close together, the slightest miss-alignment can cause that annoying crunchy click sound. find a swap that doesn't...ok that one works but now the silent switch is loose!!!!! ive seen it all

  • HT201401 My volume control buttons are not working on my Iphone 4s....

    but this only occurs when I don't have headphones in or I am not on a call.  If I have headphones in or if I am on a call using either the earpiece or speakerphone I have full volume control.  If I am using my phone to listen to music or anything else where there is audio the volume buttons do not work.  When I press the button the buttons the ringer icon appears on the screen but there are no bars under the icon and it doesn't move the volume.  I have tried rebooting the phone as well as blowing out the headphone port and the charging port.  My phone is updated to the latest release.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi
    Are you talking about the function buttons F1-F9?
    These buttons work in connection with FN button; i.e Fn + F5
    The Value Added Package as well as the Toshiba Flash Card Support Utility needs to be installed in order to use the flash cards (the menu on the screen showing the function buttons)
    These software parts can be downloaded here:
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/a660/psaw3a-07t00r/download?os=25
    Note: before you would start with new installation try to restart the flash cards: all programs -> Toshiba -> Flash Cards

  • Volume control button

    I have added sound into a game i am making, however can
    someone assist me in making a volume control buttton?

    This is how I set up a sliding volume controller (a ball to
    click and drag across a line to increase/decrease volume)...
    You will have to adjust though for the length of your line.
    //SOUND OBJECT
    var soundtrack:Sound = new Sound;
    soundtrack.setVolume(100);
    //END OF SOUND OBJECT
    //GLOBAL VOLUME CONTROL
    var nVolCheck:Number;
    volSlider.volBall.onPress = function():Void {
    this.startDrag (false, 0, 0, 75, 0);
    nVolCheck = setInterval(updateVolume, 150);
    volSlider.volBall.onRelease = function():Void {
    this.stopDrag ();
    clearInterval(nVolCheck);
    function updateVolume():Void {
    var vol:Number = (volSlider.volBall._x)*2;
    soundtrack.setVolume(vol);
    //END OF GLOBAL VOLUME CONTROL
