Clicking on the xmen collection limited time $6.99 itunes ad gives me nothing. What am I missing?

I asked if AVCHD files can be played on Mac and the support site says to simply click on the icon and quick time will play it. A big lie. Just say it won't support the file type and tell us what apps to get. anybody?
I also had issues opening AVCHD files on case-sensitive filesystems.
You can try these steps to solve the issue:
Right click on the AVCHD file and select 'Show Package Contents'
Right click on the BDMV file and select 'Show Package Contents'
Rename index.bdm to INDEX.BDM (it seems that all files in the BDMV folder should be in UPPERCASE for Quicktime to open the AVCHD file).
Go back twice and try again to double-click on the AVCHD file (Quicktime should open a window showing the multiple clips, as expected). -
I have set up my airprint wifi printer which works perfectly with the HP eprint app. However, when i view an email and click on the top right arrow button and select "PRINT" on my ipad nothing happens????...
Also, when im viewing websites and i find something i wish to print, same again, if i simply click on the print option at the top right of the screen nothing happens... the only way I can print is if i copy the weblink of the site page then click on my HP eprint app and paste the web link, then select print, it prints off fine.. but its it such a pain to keep copying and pasting links or screen dumping emails just to print...Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. my trash bin has one item that refuses to be deleted. Under name, it says, 0. date; dec. 31, 1903. size; 0 kb. I have no idea where it came from. When I click, info. the info. window starts to appear, then goes away. Weird or what? Hope someone can help?

When connecting to Itunes, it shows the following error: registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cds are missing.
I have edited the registery, downloaded the Gear drivers, uninstalled and installed itunes, and the error still appears.
What else can I do. Cannot connect any of our iphones or ipods to itunes because of this error.I have edited the registery,

Can you post a screenshot of the contents of the key you've been editing, please? Include all of the regedit screen, including the left-hand column. Save the screenshot to an image file, and insert the image file in a reply by clicking the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window. -
I have an Apple TV 2nd Gen, iPad 2 and can't get the icon to appear when i swipe from left to right. What am I missing?
I am able to get the 'Home sharing' 'user and password on my Mac.
Also using IPad 2 I am able to get the ITunes to accept the user name and same password as the Mac.
However, the only way I can see the 'Home sharing; icon is in Music on the Ipad. When I tap on the Icon it asks for a password.
When I give the same password, it is rejected.

JaxxdiggsPersonally I think the iOS devices are poor at reconnecting - Airplay establishes that a link is available but when the iPhone/iPad has been away from the house and rejoins the network i think AppleTV already thinks it's connected with a different IP address and fails to recognise it has joined the network again with new credentials.
Something along those lines anyway.
I find that a combination of restarting AppleTV, router and iOS device tends to fix it, but not for everyone.

Before installing 4.0.1 I could right click on the Firefox icon on my computer's taskbar and hit close window. It would then give me the option to "save tabs and quit" or "close all tabs."
Now it just alerts me that I'll be closing multiple tabs.
It was convenient to be able to close Firefox and open it with all of the tabs in place. There is nothing more irritating than having multiple tabs lost because your computer did an update overnight and restarted. Also it was helpful when you wanted to run a tun-up or cleaner that asked you close out of your browser for optimum result's.
How do I get "save and quit" back?
ThanksFirefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

I don't know what suddenly caused this. I haven't installed anything weird or obscure, I've kept up with all of the normal updates for Windows, my anti-virus, and other normal software (Adobe, Apple products, Steam). So all I did today was double-clicked on the iTunes icon, and the prompt that I supplied kept popping up. I rebooted my computer, I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and all of my Apple products (Quicktime, Safari). But nothing seems to be working.
I could sure use some much appreciated assistance!!! Thank you!I did what I could out of the information provided, however there was quite a bit of difference between the XP format and Windows 7. After trying what I could, I was still receiving the same error message. Besides trying to fix this issue, I'm also trying to figure out how this whole thing started to begin with.

I want to get rid of iCloud. I do not currently have an Apple product but thought I could use it with iTunes and my PC. I have deleted the software. I told iTunes to take it off my account, but every time I open iTunes there it is again, asking me to log into iCloud. I can't get Apple support because I don't have an Apple product. I don't know how to get rid of this!

I can't double click on the home button to switch between apps, or to close them. This happened after I updated to ios 7.1
Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1 Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

2 Apps I have purchased just show on my iphone as loading yet when I sync phon with itunes it shows them as completely loaded every time I turn my phone on it tells me yo connect to itunes or WiFi to download these 2 What have I missed ?

It sounds like you are unable to see your phone in iTunes after the computer turned off unexpectedly during an iOS update. I recommend resetting the phone first, and then attempting to restore with iTunes again.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

ast night i tried to sync my ipod fr a couple of songs that i just bought, but it just wont sync. gives the 1439 error. tried restoring it, and even that failed. now my ipod shows 0 songs or videos on it, and it wont even sync. anyone with any thoughts on this?
i just updated the itunes to version 11.0.3.42.

Resolution
Note: If you have an iPod shuffle you may need to use the iPod Reset Utility to restore the iPod. If you are not sure which iPod you have, see Identifying iPod models.

One way is to Drag and Drop the Entire iTunes Folder from your Old Computer to an External Hard Drive...
Then Drag and Drop the Entire iTunes Folder to the location of your Music on the New Computer...

Why am I getting a circle with an exclamation point when I try to acces my photos ?
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
I'm trying to purchase songs on my iPad but the price isn't in bold. It just plays a sample of the song. I can purchase apps or games, just not music. I then tried purchasing music on my computer and it did allow it. Problem is I never have my computer connected, I just use my iPad all the time. Can anyone help me? It seems like its the settings but I looked everywhere.
Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.
