Unfortunately not. Lion has made many adjustments to the previous system. Try opening your pdfs in keynote.

While holding down the option key, select "Go>Library" from the Finder. Navigate to the Preferences folder and you'll find "com.apple.finder.plist". Delete that file and restart.

You have the latest release version of Firefox, ignore those prompts from Yahoo about updating. They're trying to entice you to install their special "Yahoo enhanced" build of Firefox, that has extras which many people consider as being Malware.

You don't need Acrobat to view PDF files; can you post a screenshot of that message?
Also, is this a local or online PDF? If online, in what browser?

Nothing seems to work!! PSE 8 is supposed to be plug and play without having to mess with anything, get tech support or waste my time. Why then have I spent 3 evenings trying to make it work? I called Wal Mart who have a no refund policy on software. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS NONSENSE!!!

Premiere 8.0 Welcome Screen will load the editor, but will not open a project...

Hi all, this is a small issue but annoying to me... After the welcome screen comes up, I click on "Open Project" and then on a name of my project I would like to work with. After a few seconds, the welcome screen loads the project editor, but the screen stays green, no matter how long I wait, and the projcet I selected does not open. Then I have to go to Files->Open Project and load the project again. Shouldn't the project load automatically if I selected this option from a welcome screeen? I have the 8.0.1 update installed...

from the Open drop down menu, it still opens a blank screen. Can live with that, but they should fix
it... The same thing happens when you click on "New Project" in Welcoem Screen: blank screen opens and then you have to go to File -> New project. But if the editor is already open, the problem does not exist, it will do the right thing right away (i.e. open a project or start a new one from the Welcome Screen command)...

Cannot load the editor module

I recently replaced the hard drive on my pc and had to reinstall the Photoshop Elements 7 and Premiere Elements 7
software. Ever since then whenever I attempt to open the editor function in Photoshop Elements 7 in get a pop box appear stating that "Adobe Photoshop has encountered and error and needs to close" No indication of what the error is (helpful). It appears to happen when the Editor module is loading and reaches the Building Twain Menu Items.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling but to no avail....
Any body had similar problems or know what may be causing this??

Try removing the TWAIN module.

My elements 12 stopped working when trying to load the editor. Windows 7 shuts the progam downw

When I try to launch the editor the progam says it stopped working. It displays message that windows 7 will find the solution and then comes back and says there are no solutions. I have removed and reloaded it, checked for compatibility and many of the actions that describe this in the forum.. Where is the Patch to make this work?

Receiving Some Texts Only, But Can't Open Them

Ever since I updated the software, I have been getting messages, only a few, but can't open them. They appear blank, I cannot type, and can only mark them read. I have tried doing a battery pull, restarting it, and connecting it to blackberry link. Can anyone help?

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. If this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

I can't get Firefox to start up. I've downloaded a new copy several times and keep getting the error message, "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time". I do not have Firefox running anywhere.

See [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]], the image shown in that article is the Windows equivalent of the error message that you are receiving, but the information relates to the Mac.

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Down loaded adobe x and now can not open recently viewed files

I downloaded the new version of adobe but I now can not open any files. I get a white screen and windows task manager says adobe in not responding.

Adobe has magically started to run again. I had the program running with just a white screen and after about a 10 minute delay it seems to be ok.
I hope that is the end of the problem. I have no idea what the problem was, maybe it was doing an internal update , I am not a computer whiz.
