Clicks in Bnce! (both Offline and Online)

... i seem to be haunted by clicks and pops since installing LP8...
Anybody else have clicks when bouncing down ??

Sorry, let me correct myself. The clicks and pops are in the project itself already. Two clicks/pops occuring always in the same places.
However, talking bout clicks and pops.... I now get clicks and pops again. In two places of my project, they are always clicking/popping in the two exact same places.
I have checked:
any fades forgotten? NOPE, all there
any waves plugins distorting?? NOPE, all green..
any automation chaos? Nope, all smooth.
Other than that, i have:
restarted computer and audio interface
restarted software
bounced offline as well as online
changed buffer size (YES! tried all settings)
checked that my project / audio files are all in one place - TICK
Kinda don't know what to do anymore, really... Could it be an overload? I'm using quite a bit of Space Designers (7 of those plus a lot of other plugins). But then if it was an overload, would the clicks always appear in the same place?

Now that your O/S is working fine. You will have to install your SAP system in the installation screen choose hom sys copy or db-backup, native method.
Then once installed. Restore either your offline backup or your online backup. If you are using a offline backup to restore you can bring up the sap system directly after the restore.
If you are using an online backup you will also have to apply the sap logs before you can bring up your database.
For the restoration procedure you can use both SQL Query or you can do it via the SQL Server enterprise manager.
For hom sys copy guides - check the url http://service.sap.com/systemcopy

what is the offline back up and online back up,

hi s reddy,
in general words,complete backup is called offline backup which needs to schedule downtime and complete backup is taken.
online backup is nothing but daily backup when the system is up and running and no system downtime is required.

Skype Going Offline and Online Randomly?

Hi, my Skype keeps going offline and offline very quickly, not even offline then a few seconds later, online, as in every second it's on and off and on and off... etc. Also, if I try to message someone while it's doing this it gives me a really far-off date like February 5, 2020, but it's only when this is happening. In addition, it sometimes drops me from calls and it randomly tells me it's like, five of my contact's birthdays at once. I'm running Windows XP and I'm sure I have the latest version, as I just uninstalled then reinstalled Skype. I'd like to know if this is my internet or Skype freaking out, thanks for reading

Could you try to use another mouse? If the other mouse works perfect, then your mouse pad must be damaged and you should look to get it fixed or just use a mouse instead. If not, then the settings on how the clicks act must have been altered.
Try to find a mouse to try first before looking at the settings for your mouse pad. You could maybe borrow one if anyone else has a computer with a mouse in your home.
While you do that, I'll work on searching if this is common and if their is a solution if it's the software.

Ugly. Are there any tricks to get the printable (doc) output to match the online? Ideally, on the printed output, I'd like to have all the white space in my pseudo message box removed so it looks just like the online.

I assumed that if I used the project style sheet during the export, Word would convert the style so that it looked the same as in the HTML. Is that a bad assumption? I'm currently not mapping to any template equivalent for these message box styles. I did try it as one of my attempts, but I couldn't figure it out. It never seemed to take the style in the .dot.
Anyway, if I use just 1 style, such as just the MsgBox, I obviously don't get the white paragraph between the title and message. That white paragraph comes from the first <p> tag in the MsgBox style. But I need to have the <p> tags in there because they're better for our localization process than line breaks.
I did do some tweaks that made it look better. Basically I structured it so that the MsgBoxTitle div is now inside the MsgBox div. Something like this:

And then I adjusted my styles borders, padding, and thickness. That helped it look more connected, but still doesn't look quite right:

How to confiuge RMAN offline and online back-up at a pre-determined time.

Hallo!I am an Oracle newbie currently studying the Oracle 10g Database Administration Certification.Still very new to Enterprise Manager.
My query is that can you configure an offline database back-up such that you can set up an offline backup at a pre-determined time?
I am assumng a real-office scenario where a DBA would like to have an offline back-up at night e.g. at 1 am when they are no users in the office.If the DBA can set the system such that everday at 1 am ,the instance shuts down,back-up is done e.g a backup set that can be stored on tape,then after backup the instance re-starts itself.All this should be automated such that by the time staff report in the morning ,the instance is up and running and users can work seamlessely
How can I automate this entire process using RMAN and/or Enterprise Manager or a sript to achieve this?Also,I would like to know if you can automate the same for online back-up such that it can backup while instance is still running and users are accessing the DB.
Please help me on this and I shall be infinitely grateful.Thanks in advance.

On UNIX server, you can use shell script and sql scripts that can do this job for you. Once the scripts are tested succesfully, you can put them in the crontab.
Crontab entry should reflect the time, day, week, month details as you thought to schedule it.

Unable to access Adobe Story both desktop and online version

i'm not able to sign into Adobe Story both desktop version - first it gave me this error -

now when i try to sign in it just hangs on "processing" splash page
when i try to log into online version - tried Chrome, Firefox and IE10, it doesn't seen to be able to connect to the server:
Adobe Story app that i'm using is a part of Creative Cloud CS6, all other applications work fine, all latest updates installed.
Story updated itself today when i opened it first, before today i didn't have any issues accessing either online or desktop version.
If the issue is on Adobe server side, any idea when it will be resolved?

Its checkpoint scn in Data File Header. As you the STOP SCN is going to Updated wehn ever there are changes with respective to the datafile.. as it implicitly says that STOP SCN, wit respective Offline datafile will not Update, until next scn generates (until the data file make online)

Alter Data file offline to online.

( DATA FILES ARE IN OFFLINE and ONLINE )
In Sql prompt ,
I can using below command
" ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 'BANK_DAT.dat' OFFLINE " ;
1).IN THAT CASE ,I GET A ERROR (disallowed unless media recovery enebled )
so i change to Noarchivelog mode using below command
" ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 'BANK_DAT.dat' OFFLINE DROP "
succefully the "BANK_DAT.dat" data file will be OFFLINE.
After that i can change "BANK_DAT.dat" data file go to ONLINE in SQL PROMPT USING below command
SQL> ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 'BANK_DAT.dat' ONLINE ;
I getting below error.
ORA-01516: nonexistent log file, datafile or tempfile 'bank_dat.dat'
After that ,I can use DBA STUDIO in GUI mode ,Click the DATA FILE ( 'BANK_DAT.dat")
CLICK THE ONLINE RADIO BUTTON AND APPLY .
In these,I getting the error ( "MEDIA RECOVERY ERROE ").
HOW WILL ALTER THE DATA FILE OFFLINE TO ONLINE IN sql> COMMAND.

I have to edit a movie from HDV tapes, and i have to end up with an online in ProRes 422 (because i'm combining it with tapeless footage). Since I have a space problem, my plan is to capture the tapes both as HDV and as ProRes 422 proxy and edit the offli

HDV from tape can only be captured on of two ways: HDV or ProRes 422. You cannot capture as Proxy, unless you have a capture card, and an HDV deck with deck control.
Best thing to do, what I'd do...is capture HDV as native HDV...that's 13.2GB/hour, and just edit in a ProRes sequence.
Hmmmm....but you are adding Tapeless. So you want a mixed tape and tapeless, offline and online workflow. That'll be VERY tricky to pull off. I've done it, but it's tricky. For the tapeless, you MUST use Log and Transfer, and this workflow:

If you convert your tapeless by any other means to a proxy format, FCP cannot Media Manage and only capture what is in the cut. And what you'll have to do with the tape, is cut it in as HDV...ProRes proxy has a higher date than HDV...nearly twice as much! So I'd mix native HDV and offlined tapeless, but then when you online, you'll need to separate the full res HDV from the Proxy footage, so you can do a MAKE OFFLINE and Batch Capture.
It's tricky...

Hi guys, I have quite a serous problem here, I have a Adobe Edge Animation (done in CC) that fails to load the first time in Opera and Crome but does work in Firefox and Safari. It fail to load every time coming from another page.
The problem persist both locally and online. It does work in preview every single time.

What is the optimal way to go about capturing - offline or online?

Are there advantages and disadvantages of offline and online capturing? And what is the role of EDL in that regard? What's EDL anyway? Best, Faruk.

First: if you don't know what an EDL is yet, you don't need one. It is "Edit Decision List" and can be found in the manual by searching those words.
There are 3 primary reasons I know of for offlining:
- you can capture more media at a lower data rate, fitting more on your system. Less of a concern in this day of cheaper storage.
- you can use a codec that is easier to work with on your system (such as DV) to make your edit decisions for a more demanding codec such as HDV, DVCProHD, or various uncompressed formats.
- you are sending your project to somebody else through an EDL, XML, or FCP project, and the media will need to be recaptured anyway.
If you don't need these features you will be happiest by capturing all your media as you intend to use it.
