Client 001 issue.

Dear BW Gurus,
We got into a critical situation here by doing development work in Client001!!.The Basis guys installed the BW and created client 500 along with client001.But they gave the logical system name as BIWCLNT001.Then when we tried to execute RSA1 in Client500,the system gave a messg" Can work only in Client 001".So we mailed SAP reg this and they replied that "In our scenario it;s not possible to work on Client500 and rather only in Client001".Although we knew its not advisable to develop in 001,we had no other way than to do it.Now when i added a CL Info object as Navigation attribute to 0material and then deleted the attribute and tried Activating 0material,which lead us Breaking the SAP D Version of the info object!!!!!!Now we are totally lost and if would be great if someone can take time to advise us of what step to take ,next!!!
1).Can we do a fresh installation again or
2). Transport the 0material Info object from PROD to DEV ??

1. Go to Transaction SE16, and enter table RSADMINA
2. Change the BWMANDT field entry to the client number you wish to use
above is the solution for this issue ,but i ma unbale to chnage the client in se16
here chnage option is gayed out.

Hi Basis,
Please follow below steps to edit.
SE16n---> Enter table RSADMINA ---> Provide /h on command field --> press F8 key --> On the screen provide two inputs GD-EDIT & GD-SAPEDIT with value X for both & click on change icon.
After that press F8 key again,now you'll be able to change the things.Please follow same for other table,if you want these tables under change mode.

PI-7.0(xi-7.0) as production server - wrongly abap client(001)

Hi all,
We are using PI-7.0(xi-7.0) as production server, we ran the post installtion successfuly last 6month before and now server status is live production system.
Our issue is we ran wrongly abap client(001)as default client in the post-installation step. Now only we identified this. So we need to change from client(001) to production client(576).
Please guide us to how to change the client..what are the solution to change .

I took me 2 minutes to find notes 1115280 and 940309
It is possible to use an other client instead of the default 001 client but there is no advantage and you have to reconfigure a lot of thing which can lead to a lot of trouble.

SLDDSUSER not exist in client 800 and in java VA,but exist in client 001.

Dear friends,
                      I am trying to confiure ESS in my ECC6 system. Previously due to lock issue in J2EE_ADMIN user, I start use SAP* user and cofigure. That time i can able to see SLDDSUSER in my sap client 800 and in java visual admin as well and I have created all relevant JCO connections for ESS.All went fine.
                              But since Sap* lock all other users , i tried to fix that J2EE_ADMIN user.Fortunately I unlock J2EE_ADMIN user and change password as well. With J2EE_ADMIN i can abpe to connect portal as well. But in webdynpro content adminstration screen ,now I can see that check jco connection test only enabled and other buttons maintain Jco detinations are disabled and all my previously created Jco connections gone.
                     After go through SDN documents, i try to use SLDDSUSER for SLD setup. But suprisingly I could not see SLDDSUSER in client 800 as well as in visual admin .But previously I saw in both area. Now only in client 001 SLDDSUSER exist. But i am using client 800 only.Please advice how to proceed further.

How to create user in Client 001 in ABAP TRIAL version?

Hi, I downloaded SAP BI ABAP trial version and installed on windows server 2003. I am not able to create new user in client 001 where I can create Infocubes.
I followed below this link

I logged in client 000 using BCUSER. I used txn SE16 . Entered RSADMINA and BWMANDT was already 1. I created a new user here and gave SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorizations.
Now using this new user when I try to login into client 001 then I get invalid login but when I try to login in client 000 then I can login fine.
Is there anything which is missing from the note or I am doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Sven, I forgot my old post about the same issue.
The material is wrong. When software is installed then it is fine for client 000. In order to login and work in client 001 just login with user DDIC and password minisap in client 001 and create user BCUSER with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles. Once this user is created login into client 001 with this user. Once you try to do something then it will ask to create logical system. Follow this material in creating logical system from there.

RSA1 Transaction possible only with Client 001

Regards.Well We have just Installed BI 7.0 and when we tried to execute RSA1,we get a messg stating : Can execute only with CIENT 001.
2). Am unable to see any Business Content Objects when i clicked the BC Tab..Can only view them Technical content objjects.!!!!
It will be great if u guys can help me out on this..Will assign points for sure..

Here we have installed Netweaver with BI + EP and created a dev client 500 through local client copy from client 001. Now when i try to execute RSA1 in client 500, it is asking to do it in Client 001. For this I have changed the parameter login client =500 through rz10 and restarted the server. Still it is asking to login in 001 client.
Regarding BI Content I am uploading the pakage through SAINT .
Can you guys suggest me the solution for this above issue and work on client 500.

i have created a client called 100 and done client copy aslo
when i login to client 100 and execute transaction RSA1 it is giving me a message
" you should login to Client 001"
I dont have client called 001 and i have to work in BW only in Clinet 100

Please follow these steps :
In Transaction SE16goto Table RSADMINA.Check if there is an entry '001' under the field BWMANDT. In case you find it please delete that table entry completely.
Change the system default client to the correct value .Profile parameter is login/system_client.
Also you may reset the buffer using transaction /$sync though it is not a must.
First delete the entry in the table and reset the profile parameter and then check.

Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 001

Hello,
After installation of SCM 5.0, we did client copy from 001 -
>800.
But when we execute RSA1 we got the error message:
"Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 001"
Is this because of client limitations?
If yes, how it can be solved.
Incoming days we are going to upgrade to SCM 5.0 from SCM 4.1.
Will it cause a problem?

It worked.Thanks a lot. But still have a logical system issue.
RSA1>message appears->
"Logical system name has been changed for the
system"
When I gave logical system of client 001 to 800 then it worked.(with RSADMINA has entry now 800 which was changed from 001).
It still not working logical system of client 800.
I afraid, we will face issue after upgrade to SCM 5.0.
I hope client will not modify after upgrade to SCM 5.0 in RSADMINA.

BRAIN009 in RSA1 in client 001

Hello.
Yesterday I installed NW04s and copied client 001 to client 100 using profile SAP_CUST. After logging in to client 100, RSA1 aborts with error BRAIN009 "You can only work in clinet 001". I already implemented SAP Note #758956, but this did solve the issue.
What do I have to do to run RSA1 in client 100?

I switched the contents of field BWMANDT in table RSADMIN from '001' to '100'. Now RSA1 works in client 100.

I am trying to transport some of my infoubes from Dev to Quality where I can see th error
Dimension PWXTY64 can only be manually activated in client 001
Message no. R7048
Diagnosis
Dimension PWXTY64 does not have a number range interval. A new interval has to be generated so that IDs can be assigned. As IDs already exist, the interval has to be created during object activation. This is only possible in BI client 001 as the interval is client-dependent.
The error occurred in client 000 - probably in after-import handling.
System Response
Dimension PWXTY64 can only be activated manually in client 001.
Procedure
Activate Dimension PWXTY64 manually in client 001.
Please let me know what needs to be done to avoid this error

Have you found a solution to this issue? We experienced the same thing this weekend, and we had to manually activate the Infocubes using the activation program. But, if there is a way to avoid this in the future, that would be great.

SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version - You can only work in client 001

I have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and I could successfully login into the system.
When I run RSA1 Tcode I am getting error message You can only work in client 001. Can some please advice.

Hi,
Since BI tables are cross-client, BI can work only in one client. By default BI is configured for client 001.
If you want it in different client, you change it in BWMANDT field of RSADMINA table.

     Take notepad in it save .R/3 & BW logical names go to R/3 & click SM59 to create R/3 connections click then a screen opens gives BW logical name in RFC Destination option & give connection. type 3 & give some description & then press enter.
     You will get another screen under it then at target host gives BW server name we will get it from BW logon change ID, IP address option & give the system no. The system no go to logon pad just drag it then you will see the name.
     Then click on log on securities go to log on give BW server details like No, client user Password. Then save it then click test connection tab if there are errors then it gives yellow color if they are no error the whole thing come as white.
     Then click on the Remote Logon then we go to BW server give RFC SM59 & click create. Then give the server name which is at the bottom right corner give it then give the no, name, password in logon Security save it & test connection & then remote logon.
     R/3 - B W - R/3
     Logical connection source system connection is used to transfer the data from R/3 to BW. Go to BW system& click RSA1 go to source system option go to top to the source systems right click on it. Then click create then a screens opens then.
     PC Flat file , DB  Database
     Select the option manual then a screen appears RFC Destination, Logical source name then click OK then it goes to opens other screen save it test connection then remote login then it go back to the then a screen opens then click only activate.

I have installed SAP NETWEAVER ABAP TRIAL VERSION for BI. In that I have to create logical system for client 001. I have taken a list of available clients from the abap R3 side. Here is a list of it.

No service for system SAP***, client 001 in Integration Directory

Hi,
We are doing a File to IDOC scenario.
The file is picked up and the idoc is getting generated in XI but this idoc is failing at XI outbound with the following SM58 error:
No service for system SAPABC, client 001 in Integration Directory
where ABC is my XI system ID.
I have searched in sdn and tried all the possible solutions given in the previous blogs with same subject but not able to resolve this error.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
