I have a UWN architecture with two controllers 2106 and 1242AG access point.
My problem is that when I connect a client ( who is an AP Moxa) is not working properly because users that are connected behind that AP can not connect to the network
What I can do? Do I Convert it to HREAP LAP device? do i Convert all LAP to autonomous and discard WLC?

EP6 sp2: Editing authschemes.xml file for Client Certificates - Urgent

Urgent Help Needed..
I am trying to modify the authschemes.xml file so that i can have Client Certificate Authentication. Has anyone done this before? I am unable to get client certificate authentication working. I also need to get rid of form based logon screen?

I followed all the instructions i can find but nothing explains what exactly i need to implment to request client certificates in the xml file.
I want portal to request the client cert as soon as they hit the portal webpage. I am also going through IIS6 with iisproxy module installed.
I am using verisign certificates, i configured J2ee engine to request the root cert for the client cert for the SSL port but that does not work. I get the dialog box requesting in IE asking me to choose a cert but i can make any selection its greyed out. After i say yes it connects to me to the portal logon screen.

Logical system name to be updated while client copy--URGENT HELP REQUIRED

Hello All,
I have a query regarding the "Logical System name" updation during Client copy.
When we make a client copy(SRM Masters) for the Production system(SRM),the Old Logical system name for backend(which is attached to the SRM masters) gets copied to the new Client (Copy) which needs to be updated.
There is a std transaction BDLS through whcih w e can change the current Logical system name to a new one but this seems to work fine for System copy but not for Client copy.
So when i make a client copy of SRM masters for Production system,is there any other std way wherein i can change the "Logical system name " for the backend or do i have to write a CUSTOM program wherein entries for the Backend Logical system name in tables like CRMMLSGUID will be updated with the new Logical system name?
Any help on this is appreciated.

Yes, I did it twice and it worked fine.
The R/3 GUID is sent by the OLTP system (R/3) in R/3 message header.
SRM checks this GUID in CRMMLSGUID table.
If is not the same one, then replication process fails.
The only solution I found was to delete this entry. It is automatically recreated with the new GUID with the next replication, with FM CRMT_OLTP_LOGSYS1, called in BAPI_CRM_SAVE.
Look at OSS note 588701 & 765018 for deletion of CRMMLSGUID.
The issue is exactly ours: around system/client copy.
In an CRM environment, this is more critical, because we make a huge use of the middleware. But in our case, and especially after system/client copies, we can go, even if SAP does not guaranty anything, because we don't care about "old" replicated data (I don't care about old BDOCs, that should even be deleted after processing).
We have to take some risks sometimes...

Reading Large data files from client machine ( urgent)

Hi,
I want to know the best way for reading large data at about 75MB file from client machine and insert to the database.
Can anybody provide sample code for it.
Loading the file should be done at client machine and inserting into the database should be done at server side.
How should i load the file?
How should i transfer this file or data to server ?
How should i insert into the database ?

Like I said before you should be using your application server to serve files >from the server off the filesystem. The database should not store files this big >and should instead just have a reference to this file. I think u have not understood the problem corectly.

The requirement is as follows.
This is a j2ee based application.
Application server is oracle application server.

like wise we may have more than 3 lacs rows in it.
We need to read this file and transfer this to the application server. Which are EJBS.
There we read this file each row in file is one row in the database for a table.
Like wise we need to insert 3 lacs records in the database.
We can use Jdbc to insert the data which is not a problem.
Only problem is how to transfer this data to server.
I can do it in one way. This is only a example
I can read all the data in StringBuffer and pass to server.
There again i get the data from StringBuffer and insert into database using jdbc.
This way if u do it. It is performance issue and takes long time to insert into the database.It even may give MemoryOutofBond exception.
just iam looking for the better way of doing this which may get good performace issue.

Error in Client Copy - Urgent

Hi all,
A client copy was done from PRD to QAS.
It has been found out that the Field name in the QAS and PRD doesnot match in SE16.
In the table BSEC, the field STRAS was present in QAS where as it is displayed as STRAR in PRD. This is in SE16. In SE11, it is STRAS in both QAS and PRD.
Could anyone tell why this might have happened?

Hi,
SE16 is just a display of SE11 table. So there will not be any change. When you take the table in SE16. From Settings->User Parameters->try toggling b/w field name and field label.
I think STRAS is the Street Address...
If there is any type mismatch the client copy will not happen...

You seem to be having a problem with creating an Eclipse plugin. You don't seem to be having any problem at all with Java and XML that I can see. I think you would have more chance of getting an answer if you looked over on the Eclipse site for a forum for plugin writers.

Applet socket problem in client-server, urgent!

I have implemented a client server teamwork environment. I have managered to get the server running fine. The server is responsible for passing messages between clients and accessing Oracle database using JDBC. The client is a Java Applet. The code is like the following. The problem is when I try to register the client, the socket connection get java.security.AccessControlException: access denied(java.net.SocketPermission mugca.its.monash.edu.

Thanks for the help. But I don't have to configure the security policy. Instead, inspired by a message in this forum, I simply upload the applet to the HTTP server (mugca.its.monash.edu.au) where my won server is running. Then the applet is download from the server and running fine in my local machine.

Client Proxy Urgent

Hi Gurus,
The developer need to test program in latest PRD DB they ask client copy the PRD System.
Only the copy the DB means which category to Select copy the system or i copy the SAP_ALL.
Pls advise. Now DEV DB is now 70%.
Or
if there any possible to Overide the Database. Already we have Client 200 can i copy the latest one in Client 200. Pls advise...

Hi,
If your requirement is to copy only the DB structure then you DB copy,
If you want the data also to be copied then use SAP_ALL mentionening the desired tables.

How to copy changes to Productive client? URGENT!

SAP has a note related to the payroll module which we had to apply to Client 000. We were able to use SCC1 to copy from Client 000 to Client 200 in our QA environment.
However in Production we are unable to use the same method due to our SCC4 settings.
SAP revert that we cannot use SCC1 in Production and that we should identify the changes and tie to table changes to a transport request and transport to Production.
Can anybody please advise what is the best way to copy the changes to Productive client?

Client Has one company code and 25 Branches(cities).In this case,if the client has One customer who has branches in 25 Citys.How can we maintain the customer.Can we create the same customer in 25 Branches or one is enough.
what are the consequences...if we create in 25 locations?
If we create only one,how can we see the branch wise sales revenue?

hi,
you have the option to create one customer master and use it for all the branches.
i think your requirement is you want to transact with all the braches of the customer.
you have the option to use partner function you raise bill to one party and shipment to another branch and receipt is to another branch.
in this case you have to create it as a seprate customers
but for viewing consolidated reports you can use "group" field in customer master. then in FBL5N in dynamic selection field you can select group field and can get consolidated data

Container for Servers AND Clients (also) - Urgent Discussion Topic

Hi all,
I am developing a communications container. I have already implemented the server support, which is natural for containers, as in the web container or the EJB container. The benefit is that the container implements the background structure while the server concentrates in its business logic.
I would like to extend this benefit for Clients, also. This way I wish to discuss with you some ways to implement this client support in the container.
We know that servers fit well in containers, because the container not only instantiates them, but also calls them when it is appropriate.
The first problem with the clients is that generally it is the Client itself that originates the calls. However I don't want them to know anything else than their business logic. This could be solved with a callback method call. The client calls some method in the container (RMI?) and the container calls back some client interface method passing all communication data (requests) pre formatted, just like a service call in Servlets.
The second problem is that generally it seems to be appropriate that the client run as a stand-alone application. Would it be nice if the container itself instantiated the client application? In this case, how would some client-side user start a client when he needs it?
Another solution would be all clients talking with the container with local socket connections. The container would work as a proxy, submitting the client data to the apropriate container in some end-point remote JVM.
What do you think about it?

You might be asking to yourself, "why does this nutcase want to place a client inside a container, afterall???"
Well, the main reason I want a client to run inside a container is that I want to allow that all clients could also be servers, by implementing the appropriate interface.
If this client-container bondage prooved to be stable and reasonable, it would allow me to merge clients with servers in a future implementation. Actually, I am thinking about a peer-to-peer application. This is my goal in the future. I want to start with clients and servers, both running in a container so that in the future I may merge them into peer-to-peer applications.
What do you think about it all?

Why should you use SOAP? So you can keep clean :) :)

Also (from "Making SOAP Out Of Java" - JavaPro article):

SOAP, a simple alternative to the request/response protocols DCOM and CORBA/IIOP, has the advantage of being based on HTTP, thus providing a better chance that packets will get through firewalls and proxy servers separating client and server."
There you go...all the wonderful reasons to use SOAP -- and that your mother never told you about! :)

In the client deployment under META-INF you should have the application-client.xml.
Can you CustomerData - home,remote etc. be seen from the clientside classpath?
Have they been deployed to OC4J?
Looks like it is not being found either on the server or on the client.

Changing organizational structure in SRM

Hi All,
We are in production with SRM 4.0 since 1.1.2006 and using R/3 since 2003.
Our company intends to change the organizational structure (delete, merge, move
organizational structure).
We are going to copy our PROD systems (both R/3 and SRM) to other systems to be able to apply and check the changes.
Problems:
1. How is it possible to replace LogsysXXX to that of the new backend for each attribute in the organizational structure, for every organizational unit? The attributes are not inherited data because they differ from one another, and there are many of them within the org structure (for example the attributes plant, purchasing org and group have the LogsysXXX defined as part of the parameter. There are about 600 users with 50 attributes each in all the org structure; therefore a manual process would not be acceptable.
Note: We didnt copy the HR organization to the SRM org structure.
2. Documents which are being processed and at the time of copy client and were already created in SRM (PO, POR, SC), point to the old backend (LogsysXXX).
How do we change this pointer in existing documents to the new backend system?
