Client blocks when reading data...

i am writing two tipes of data one after another into an outputstream,like a
write(string.getbytesbytes) and right after a
write(array of bytes)
how could the client get both without blocking?...i tried all day long but still gives me the issues..
the client hooks the inputstream to a bufferedstream and reads the string with a readline,and reads it all..then hooks directly to the inputstream and does a read(byte[] buffer,0 length) but blocks on it...
am i missing something?...could you suggest tips on a better way to send/read both?...maybe i shouldn't change the reading streams while receiving..but for what i have to receive (string+datafile)for now it seems to me the best way...

Activating DemoContent: Error when reading data target

I'm trying to activate the SAP Demo cube Purchasing Data (0D_PU_C01). The Grouping Mode is set to In Dataflow Before and Afterwards.
When I simulate installation, I get the error message Error when reading data target 0D_PU_C01 (Message no. RSAU126) in the logs (although in the Collection Area the Simulation Result column is marked with a green check).
I could find only 2 notes related to this error in the SAP Service Marketplace. SAP note nr. 540873 is about the BW indexing job. Note nr. 587796 (Error in after import of update rules) seams more appropriate, however not thoroughly right. In fact it refers to BW 3.1 Content or BW 3.0B.
My system version instead is:
BI_CONT 353
SAP_BW 350
The very same problem occurs when I try to activate the SAP Demo Sales and Distribution.
Any suggestion?

Ok, it worked! Now however I have some more doubts.
1. I can't find the InfoObjects (e.g. 0D_GR_QTY, 0D_PLANT, 0D_MATERIAL, etc.) anywhere in Modeling -> InfoObjects, even if:
a) I can find them under the InfoSource tree of the SAP Demo Application Component
b) they appear activated in Business Content
What's going on?
2. The newly activated Purchasing Data cube has been added to the Unassigned Nodes InfoArea, and not to a newly created SAP Demo Purchasing (0D_MMPUR) InfoArea, similarly to the structure I saw when collecting the InfoProvider in Business Content. Is this the normal behaviour?
3. No DataSource has been assigned to any of the InfoSources. I read at:

that the SAP Demo Source System will be used. What I can't understand is if I need to manually create and select this Source System. Play sound in specified duration and desired file when reading data with VISA functions ?

Hi.
I read data with VISA read function and then I use functions like multiple for showing data on Chart. every thing is OK.
now I want play a specified sound (like a 3s song in my desired folder) when signal amplitude cross over from specified value. then after desired time, it will be wait for new cross over from specified value and this procedure repeat again until I stop the program.
Data comes from MCU and it doesn't stop when system play sound and when system play sound, incoming data for this part (play sound) will be ignore them until specified expired.
I use this VI for reading data and mentioned part which is sound part is empty and I don't know what I must done ?
altougth I use another while loop for sound apart because I want save CPU time.

I would recommend making the data type of the notifier a cluster that contains a path and a numeric (double). The path tells the player which file to play. The numeric is the duration.
Now for a slightly complicated, but really neat, way to stop your second loop. Do not use a second notifier. Instead, send the normal notification but use Not A Path for the path in the cluster. Your second loop can do a check for the Not A Path and stop when that is recieved.

 You'll be getting this error because it's trying to access nodes that don't exist;
 there are no 'contact' records, thus when it tries to access node 'root.contact', it doesn't exist, hence it's receiving NULL when it's expecting something

 When there is only 1 value, it'll be returned as an object (Arrays are used for multiple items). So it throws an error as it isn't expecting a single object, it wants an Array.
 This is also why when it returns 2+ records, there is no error. Multiple results will be returned as an Array, what your flex app was expecting.
 My initial guess to solve the first problem would be similar to Greg's, although i'm guessing you'd want;
 if(e.result != null){
 instead of
 if(e.result.root.contact != null){
 as you'd initially want to check if anything was returned in the result, rather than checking to see if a certain node exists.
 If you attempt to see if a certain node isn't null, and the node doesn't exist, it'll probably throw another #1009
 For the #1034 error, you'll have to check to see how many results were returned, as Madhav has described for you.

Why some columns are not read into Power Pivot when reading data from a SQL query

I have this SQL query that I want to use to read data to PowerPivot from:

After I click 'Finish' in "Table Import Wizard", I can only get 1 column (FieldCount) in Power Pivot window. Why don't I get the other 4 columns? If I save the result to a table I do get all columns but my goal is to dynamically present the result
so that's not an option. Can anyone shed some light?

I should have mentioned that I know that the table exists in the database.

DUMP ANALYSIS- DBIF_RSQL_INTERNAL_ERROR when reading data from infocube

HI ALL,
When i am trying to read the data from an info provider RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ.
the runtime error which is comig is DBIF_RSQL_INTERNAL_ERROR
it is throwing a dump which says An internal error in the database interface occurred during access to
the data of table "RSMDATASTATE ".
the lines at which it is dumping are
SELECT SINGLE * FROM RSMDATASTATE
INTO E_S_DATASTATE
WHERE INFOCUBE = I_INFOCUBE
I checked in the table RSMDATASTATE it is having an entry for the required infoprovider.
Please suggest me if anybody across this error in the past.
is there anything to do with cube settings rool ups and compression or something. Please suggeste me.

How do I ignore the differences in DBMSs when reading data from a DB?

My boss wants me to create a text parser that parses the below sentence and executes an SQL query.
'get table field1,field2,field3,...,fieldN [where SQL conditional statements]'
This corresponds to 'select field1, field2, field3, ..., fieldN from table where blahblah'.
Since different DBMSs have different formats for timestamp, that sentence has to be changed for each DBMS.
One way to ignore the differences is to make a complex text anlayzer that converts a certain type of timestamp string to one that fits each DBMS.
But it looks ridiculous to adopt such a solution when there might be an elegant solution.
LabVIEW DB Toolkit is not capable of concealing the differences.
Does anybody have a better idea than I do?

How to use the readLine() method when reading data from a URL?

I have a URL which contains text input.
The only way to get the data from this URL is by opening a URL connection to it.
I would like to get the data from this URL but at the same time I would like to be able to use readLine() method of BufferedReader in order to read the data line by line.
My question is how do I combine between these two requirements in order to reed the data from the URL?

Firefox hangs when reading data into a form

I built a database-driven website which allows a user to change text and pictures thru a series of text boxes in a form. Firefox can take up to 2 minutes to populate the form from the database while all other Mac browsers take just a second or two. I've reset firefox and reinstalled it and started in Safe Mode, but no changes.
I'd like to keep using Firefox but it doesn't work.

do anyone knows this problem in BW Release 3.5?
