Client copy & condition records: Printing from QA system to production
Hi,
We have the following problem: When production system is copied to quality assurance system (full system copy / client copy), also the condition records are copied. This means that when e.g. a sales order is printed in QA system, this printout goes to a business printer by default. This is a matter which is definitively annoying to the business.
Is it possible to find an easy way to fix this problem? For example, can the condition records be cleared after the full system copy? Or, is it possible to add word "TEST" on top of the printout if it is printed in QA system? We are looking an easy and simple solution to this.
I tried to find a solution in SAP Printing Guide, but couldn't find any help in there. Do you have any ideas or suggestions where can I find more help? Do you know if there is an SAP Note for this? Is the Message Control (CA-GTF-BS) http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/c8/19878343b111d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm right place to start the investigating?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jarmo Tuominen
After the system copy we go in and lock all printers then clear all the queues. Simpler ways we've not found.
We wrote ABAP programs that lock the printers then deletes the queues thus giving us the chance to clear things up as soon as the copy is done.
Be nice to hear if anyone has a better way.

While copying condition records in pricing from one customer to another
While copying condition records from one customer to another for one material, need to give select rule, when I click that it supposed to come with values like "rule 1" but it does not have values. So I cannot copy data.
Any experts solution?
Fully rewarded.
Thanks,
ManoharHi,
for the condition copy, you must maintain the copy control for condition. the path:Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Pricing-->Copy Control For Conditions.
this is the reqirement.
I hope this useful for you. -
Tax condition records replication from r/3 to CRM.
Hi,
We are on CRM 5.0 and backend is 4.7. We have downloaded all condition objects from r/3 to crm. When I tried to create an order everything is determined in CRM (R/3 pricing procedure, PR00) but for tax conditions.
Where I can view the condition records downloaded from R/3 in CRM system?
Thanks in advance.
SrinivasHi Nitin,
I believe the maintenance of the condition type is done in R/3. If this is the case then in R/3 you can go to the following path
Under SPRO ->SAP Customizing Implementation guide ->Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Pricing Control ->Define Condition Types.
Here for the condition type you wiill maintain the "Condition Class" and "Calculation Type". Once it is maintained You can trigger DNL_CUST_CNDALL to bring it down to CRM.
you can monitor the trigger that you did using SLG1 transaction.
Thanks

Hi,
I am Having Condition record for Pricing (PR00) with Key combination as sales org/ Customer/ Material.
Now I want to copy same Record for another customer with same materials
How to do this?
I tried In VK11 in with ref. to option in which i given previous records's ref. system is copying but in this i want to
change customer code but that field is in Grey I m not able to change customer code for the same materials.
regards,
akshayHi
Just make previous record invalid
Just go to VK12 and give the validity date of today.
From 01.12.2008
Valid to 31.12.9999 (21.07.2009)
So from today onwards this condition type will be invalid
Just create the new condition record in VK11 for your different customer.
Now just create new record sales org/ Customer/ Material
1000 / 594944 / M10
New condition record valid.

BAdI SPC_POSTING_CONTROL Copying condition records to related materials
People of the Forum I salute you
I'm spec'ing an enhancement to create condition records using the data entered by the user for a reference material.
The solution we're looking at is to implement a BAdI in transaction VKP1 called 'SPC_POSTING_CONTROL'. We need to get the code to pass the pricing data entered by the user to create new condition records for the linked materials (these will be held against the reference material in a custom table).
I'm trying to improve my ABAP knowledge. Can anyone tell me of confirm how this will work technically.
My understanding is when the user enters the parameters in transaction VKP1, the data will be passed to an internal table. When the BAdI runs this data will be moved to the relevant fields in the method of this BAdI. Then the code will execute a copy of transaction VK11 and pass the data from the BAdi to the VK11 transaction and the records will be created and saved.
Is this correct? If so how does the data get passed to the Badi from the main VKP1 program and then how does it get passed to VK11?
Thanks and Warm RegardsHi,
Not every condition type entered in orders will appear in delivery document. Only freight condition types will appear in delivery document.
For more information on pricing in delivery document, refer to OSS note 154529 and 563411
Hope thsi helps.

Printer will not copy but will print from the computer
Hp Photosmart D110 all in one printer--I am totally disgusted with this printer...have had it a few months. It will only get about 160 economy pages per ink cartridge which is ridiculous. So we bought an ink refill kit and just refilled and reinstalled the black ink cartridge. it is printing from the computer just fine but the printer WILL NOT COPY. When I use the tool box and check ink levels it just shows question marks on both ink cartridges.
I spent 45 minutes on HP Chat Support and got no answers except that I need to use genuine HP Cartridges. They could not explain to me why the printer would print but not copy with refilled cartridge.
Any help from any of you regarding the NOT copying and the ink cartridges.....thanks so muchDid you ever get it to copy? I have the same problem

MM-PURHello!
I have experienced the same error.
I did a System Copy using ordinary DB backup/restore and after that SAPinst (Additional Software Life-Cycle Tasks).
I found that a unicode conversion program, UMG_POOL_TABLE, was executed at the end of SAPinst.
This program converted some of my pooled tables to Unicode (doubled fieldlength of VARDATA).
Even though I already run UNICODE.
I verified this by executing program RADPROTA, checking for logs starting with TPOCNV* (in found my candidates for next step).
With program RADPOCNV I could "reverse" the converted tables back to the correct length (for example ATAB with unicode you should have 904).
For more info read SAP Note 686357 - "Table pool nametab length incorrect after Unicode migration"
I suggest you check if you have any TPOCNV* logfiles containing any pooltable conversions.
If so check the pool tables in SE14.
If they are inconsistent you can use RADPCONV to correct them.
I guess there is some kind of bug in SAPinst.
Bye,
Lasse

Re:Copy Condition record
Is there any solution if I maintain the condition record of particular condition type ,the value of this condition record is auomatically copy to another condition record.
hi,
you can use common disrtibution channel and common division
img>sales and distribution>master data-->common distribution channel,common division
Reference distribution channel for conditions
Specifies a distribution channel that you want to use as a reference for
condition data for other distribution channels.
Example
Distrib.channel Ref.distrib.channel
01 01
02 01
03 01
04 04
Reference division for conditions
Specifies a division where you can define conditions and share them with
other divisions.
Example
Division Condition-division
01 01
02 01
03 01
04 04

Printing from a System 9 program
I can run programs from the classic mode, but am having difficulty printing with them. I tried reinstalling the printer, but now am just getting error messages. Before that I was just getting nothing. This is a Mac Mini running 512 memory - System 10.4.4
I thought I could print from this computer in classic prior to the upgrade, but not positive of that - This is in a computer lab and it is possible that no one needed to print from a classic program before today.
I am getting these error messages. -8882 and error -609 and not the latest is that it is not AppleEvent aware and Desktop Print 2.0 software is not installed. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. You may be able to see it (in the Chooser), but is there a printer driver installed for it? You might need to look in:
<Macintosh HD>/System Folder/Extensions/Printer Descriptions/
For a file like "HP LaserJet 4050". If there isn't one, then you might see the printer but not be able to set it up or print to it. Take a look at HP's site here. (That link may time-out.)

Transporting objects from development system to production system
Hi all,
how can we transfer the object from development system to QA and QA to Production, for example creating a new sales document type, how can we transfer tthese new sales document object from development to production system.
any one can please send me with screen shots, then it will be great help for me.
its very urgent
my email id is:[email protected]
Thanks & Regards
Ramesh chandraHi Kalyan.,
When you want to create a new sales order type then its better to copy the existing order type from the standard one and save it in one request and then you release the request in SE09 and further it is transported by Basis people using T.code STMS
I have sent step by step configuration with screen shots,Please go through that
REWARD if helpfull

Problem when transporting form from DEV system to PRODUCTION system
Hi Experts,
We are developing forms in ABAP, for example there is a form developed in dev system and this form has JS coding in some UI elements events like initialize, on change and on exit; also has one script object defined as variable. this script object has some functions defined in order to do some common validations and field specific ones too.
The form in DEV work fine, all the functions calling, all the validations and the events are working properly as expected. But there is a problem when we moved the changes done in development system into production system. Specifically the script object has the problem: even though the coding is the same in both systems, in production system we had an script error: "Body.CATALOGPARAMS has no properties", as if the Body.CATALOGPARAMS was never instanciated, or it is not defined...
The code that produces this error is the following:
var itemCount = 0;
itemCount = Body.CATALOGPARAMS.DATA.instanceManager.count;
CATALOGPARAMS is table defined as context table coming from an ABAP FM where is filled and passed into the form.
In order to fix this problem I changed that part for the following
var itemCount = 0;
var catalogTable = null;
catalogTable = xfa.resolveNode("Body.CATALOGPARAMS.DATA");
itemCount = catalogTable.instanceManager.count;
This still works as fine as the other in DEV system. But my question is: will I have the same problem when we transport the changes to production system, you have to know that a transport is not something that you can do every day, so I am taking precautions before the transport. Which of both coding is the best for doing this?
Any observations, comments, questions in order to clarify some points are welcome, so please do it.
In advance, thanks a lot.
Mauricio.-
Edited by: Mauricio Poblete on May 11, 2010 4:20 PMAs always, you are the first one to reply... thanks for that!
before everything, I activated the form, then I added this form to a new transport using se80 transaction: I navigated through the form objects and I added the form to a new transport by second click on the form -> other functions -> write transport entry. is this the correct way to assign a transport package with the entire form (including script objects, layouts, and all you told in the last reply)??
Can you give me a guide on how-to add the specific parts to the same transport for forms?
as always, thanks in advance.

'Print one copy' is OK, print from dialogue fails
Using MacBook pro with 10.8.2 and CS6 13.0.1, with Kodak 2170 printer.
I can select "Print one copy" from the file menu, and the file is sent to the printer and prints fine.
But if I select "Print", it brings up the usual Print dialogue window, and shows my printer, but no matter what options I chose, when I click "print", nothing happens. the file is not sent to the printer.
Any suggestions?
Thankshate to sound like a moron, but how would i check that out? all i know is i installed the printer by going to the print/fax tab in system prefs, clicked the "+" button, clicked the windows tab, selected "workgroup," then the location of the print server, then, after logging in, selected "direct" from the three options. this is the same way I installed this printer in tiger and never had any probems.
thanks for the sleuthing.
