Client crashes when replying to more then 5 people

Hi all,
I have a strang issue with GroupWise: when a user clicks on the reply button and there are more then 5 recepients, the GroupWise client crashes.
With less then 5 people are on the recepien list kt works fine.
Environment:
- XenDesktop VDI
- Citrix PVS image streaming
- RES Zero Profiling
- Windows 7 x86

Is this just one user or any?
Which build of the client are you running? Look in Help, About..
Does it work properly under WebAccess?
What is the backend? SLES or Windows? Versions?
Can you try connecting with a physical machine as the client so that we
can isolate if it has something to do with the VDI bits.

This is for every user and it works with webaccess. The backend is Novell OES2.
It works fine on a physical machine.
Any ideas?

IOS 5 Mail crashes when replying to an email from Android device

When ever I reply to an email sent to me from an Android device on my iPad or iPhone the mail client crashes when I hit send.
This is occurring with all iOS users in our organisation.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Just completed a conference call, with a rep for Sprint Corporate accounts and an Apple Senior Technician.
The company for which I work has a large fleet of wireless devices, including iPhones, iPads and Adroid phones.
Through several tests, Apple, Sprint and I narrowed it down to this:
Apple iOS devices are UNABLE to reply to Android e-mails:
When the Android user has modified the signature, AND the e-mail is sent through a Microsoft Exchange Server, using ActiveSync.
Apple iOS devices ARE able to send replies to Android e-mails:
When the Android user has modified the signature AND the e-mail is sent via a server other than Microsoft Exchange. (e.g. Gmail and Yahoo Mail)
Apple iOS devices ARE able to send replies to Android e-mails:
Which still have the defualt signature (i.e. "Sent from my HTC Evo", etc.) The type of e-mail server does not appear to affect the result in this case.
Next stop: Microsoft Exchange Technical Support. (Of course, Microsoft will blame it on Android and Apple.)
Don't know what we'll do, then.

Random crashes when doing routine editing, then log & transfer

I have been experiencing crashes when performing simple editing then returning to Log & Transfer to pull in more footage into the project. I did a permissions repair which seemed to work for a short time - but now it is crashing again. I also followed Shane's advice to disable the Remove Advanced Pulldown and Multiple Frames setting in the Log & Transfer preferences. I have a new MacBook Pro 2.66 ghz and new Final Cut Studio with Final Cut Pro 7.

Update - after completing some editing today, it appears the crashes are only occurring whenever I am working with Log & Transfer - especially when I am previewing the clip, marking in/out, and also when I am scrolling through the list of clips.

To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required.

It will not come back on line and the only way out of this is to reboot the computer.

Tabs don't close when I click more then 10 links

After updating to Firefox 11 a strange problem occurs when I click more then 10 links and try to close them: the links don't close and I have to close the window. This never happend before. I do some paid to click programs and have to click many links, so this is not very nice... Does anyone recognise this and is there already a fix for it?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Can any one tell me what will happen when SGA_TARGET is more then SGA_MAX
if this situation happens either SGA_TARGET will resize to SGA_MAX or SGA_MAX resize to SGA_TARGET or error will come ? ??

When Deduction is more then net earning

Hello Experts,
I have a querry.When a employee has taken a loan ,& deduction starts from next month onwards uptill complete repayment,maximum upto 1 year.
There are certain cases when employees deduction more then earning component.
In this situation what possibilty can be done.
Can we use the Arrears & Priority component with option (3. Deduct as much as possible, remaining amount in arrears table)?
if not then what are the other possibilty for this..plz let me know..

You can assign the priority to the deduction,
Go to the config and assign the priority to all deduction and the problem will get solved,
and also you can make the wage time deduction only to the amount available for deduction,
set it as per your requirement.

Outlook crashes when replying to email sent from Mail

Two of my staff are reporting that when they send email to people using Outlook, the recipient's outlook crashes when they try to reply.
Has anyone experienced this? i've checked smtp servers, corrupt fonts etc.
it seems to happen inconsistantly (i use outlook myself and have no problems).

Frank thanks for bringing this post back up. I thought for sure it would go unnoticed. It seems to me that there is currently nothing the Geniuses can do about it - and because they claim it's an Android issue I doubt this will be addressed in the next iOS. Unless Android sends an update to their users fixing the problem - if it is an Android problem after all - then it looks like we are left to finding a solution on our own. Like I said previously, the only workaround I found is by "forwarding" the email and then manually entering the sender's address.

Clients Crash When Connected. REALLY ODD!

Server : System PowerMac G4 running Server 10.4.9
Clients : (2) Mac Pros running 10.4.9
Problem : When clients are connected to the server and browsing via the finder. The clients finder windows crash. This problem occurs when all the icons and information is loading about the files in the folder.
The system is on a gigabit network. The only file protocol the server is using is AFP. The data on the server in question was moved onto the server from a OS9 client.
Troubleshooting :
1. Another G4 system implemented as a server with a fresh install of 10.4.9 server. Data moved over. Problem still present.
2. Data moved directly to Mac Pro (A). Client has no problems accessing data on local drive. When Mac Pro (B) connects to Mac Pro (A) via network Mac Pro (B) finder windows crash when accessing Data on Mac Pro (A).
3. New gigabit switch removed and replaced with known good 10/100 switch. Problem still exists.
4. Enet cards downgraded on MacPros to run at 100. Problem still exists.
5. Fresh OS installs on MacPros. Problem still exists.
6. Diskwarrior ran. No major problems found.
Not sure if it matters but allmost all of these are design files done on OS9 ( Adobe / Quark ).
Any ideas regarding this would be greatly appericated.

I have a 30 GB version of the same. I also got some external speakers for it, UBL I think they are called. I find there is something very odd about whether you charge it up or not. It seems to over-charge sometimes, and then everything freezes. As for connecting to the PC, no chance. After an initial burst on another machine, and after installing itunes on this computer, there is no recognition of the one by the other at all. Plus freezing and locking up. Plus freezing the PC as well, it is very tedious. So no answers, only commiserations. I think Apple are doing a very poor job on this ! And their help facility seems quite hopeless !

IPhoto crashes when I write name on people's faces. Can I solve this problem?

From 2-3 weeks my iPhoto crashes when I select Faces and I add the name of people which is in the photo... can I make something ?
Those problems starts when iPhoto rebuild my library because it was damaged...

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a viable backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If the problem didn't repeat in the new library then your current library is damaged. In that case make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a viable backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

XP computer crashes when Firefox is open, then blames nVidia, but no blue screen appears.

XP Service Pack 3, with all updates
Firefox multiple versions, currently 15
nVidia 6200 with multiple versions of drivers
Deep Scan using Vipre with current updates, found no viruses.
Computer reboots unexpectedly, no blue screen, but on recovery, Windows reports there was a blue screen and nVidia caused it. However, without Firefox open, I've had no crashes. Sometimes Firefox can be open, but then crashes when one of several new tabs (sites) are opened, but cannot identify what site might be causing it.

Are you experiencing this issue with another browser? Can you update to the newest version at http://getfirefox.com ?

Mail Crashes When Replying

   I'm having trouble with Mail on an iMac running 10.9.2, with all updates.
   When replying to an email, the reply window doesn't open, and Mail locks up.
   I've rebuilt the mailboxes; that made no difference.
   I created a new user account, set up an email in Mail, and it does the same thing.
   There are no plugins installed, either in /Library/Mail/Bundles or ~/Library/Mail/Bundles.
   I reinstalled the OS. No difference.
   I even tried a copy of the Mail application from another computer. No difference.
   I ran a disk repair when booted from the Recovery partition; no problems were found.
   What am I missing?

Siebel Web Client crashes when clicking a certain view (Income).

We are using Siebel Public Sector and I am encountering a recurring issue with our Siebel Web Client. For most part it works but something strange occurs when I execute a series of steps. Whenever I go to the Contacts Screen > Income View then click on another screen tab (i.e. Contacts, Cases, Calendar, Home, Households, etc.) the web client stops responding and throws out an error saying: Session Warning: The server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties. Please close the Web browser, open a new browser window, and try logging in again.
I'm not really sure what is going on so I checked the logs. I'm not really sure what is going on. If someone could enlighten me on what this issue could be that would be awesome!

Dude - you definitely don't need any 3rd party software to figure this out. A bit of patience and research will help you solve it AND help you gain a better understanding of how Siebel works and how to debug problems such as this in the future.
Setting the Log Level to 5 for all events in the Public Sector Object Manager is your first step. Log out then log back in and replicate the problem.
Locate your log file and have a look at what's going on - chances are you'll see something in there that will immediately reveal the source of the problem.
If there's a proper 'crash' involved, Siebel will generate a Flight Data Recorder (FDR) file - there are instructions on My Oracle Support on how to decode these. Really useful and very interesting to see how Siebel works at a low level.
Debugging and fixing can definitely be arduous in Siebel - no two ways about it. However, researching, analysing and fixing issues yourself will prove both rewarding and educational! :)
