Client deleted me as a user

I have a client who deleted me as a user to make room for another within there organization. Can this somehow be prevented?

Easiest way is to not give them access to the user functions.
However, you should be able to add yourself back in from you partner portal. Where the users are listed, there is an 'Add Me to Site' link.

  • Client Deleted a folder

    Issue is:
    BO XIr2 SP2 running Win2K3
    Repository is Oracle 10g
    Client u201Caccidentlyu201D both clicked the delete folder button and the box asking if he was sureu2026folder that was deleted contained about 58 reports that the client needs.  Client had created these reports directly in production, without creating them in a development area, and directly in the repository, not having personal copiesu2026so these are the only copies of the reports.  No .BIAR backup files were created.
    We did both an Oracle recovery for the repository and a windows recovery for the Windows server.  The backups were not from identical times, but we donu2019t believe there was much that occurred between the times of the backups.
    Of the 58 reports that were in the folder, we now are able to see them all, however only around 10 of them will run.
    Some fail with the following error:
    Web Intelligence cannot perform the intended action on this document (Error: WIS 30650)(Error: INF)
    The rest fail with the following error:
    An internal error occurred while calling the u2018openDocumentMDPu2019 API. (Error: WIS 30270)(Error: INF)
    If I try and use the import wizard to create a .BIAR file with these reports, about 18 of them error out with a message stating that the file is not found in the following location:
    frs://Input/a_142/004/000/1166/cdz9c4507205f11cf8.wid
    We have confirmed that these files are missing.  For the files that are still in the input file repository, I have tried exporting them to a .BIAR file, deleting from the system, and then reloading from the .BIAR file, and they continue to error with the same error message.
    We found the following article:
    How to restore folders and reports that have been accidentally deleted from Infoview
    KBase Article ID:8099064
    Article refers to: BusinessObjects Enterprise XI
    But it does not appear to have helped.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Jeremy... sorry to here about your problem.  I've experienced stuff like this but I would look more into a solution that can recover files from a bad drive (although your files were deleted by a nother user and the drive isn't bad).  Since this is a problem at the file structure level, I would look to data recovery programs such as GetDataBack.  I can't say it will work for you but it's worth a try to recovery those files from the drive.

  • Table space and recollection of released space after client deletion

    Dear All,
    I have two questions:
    1.Can any1 tell me how to determine the fastest growing table and how to reorganize table space.
    2. Is there any way by which we can recollect the space released:say after client deletion. I had deleted one client two  weeks back and when I saw the SAP/user drive I fow free space available remains the same.
    I searched but found no relevant clue.
    regards,
    Ashutosh

    1.- You can see the largest table report in ST04 (as far as i remember)...
    2.- You can reorganize your db using brtools - brspace...

    Check System Log (SM21)

    Hi,
    First clarify:
    Are you able to login into client 600?
    Do you want to login into 600, already deleted client?
    do you want the root cause, why this was cancelled?
    What wil happen if it cancelled in between?
    I would suggest you to have a brief detail about Client deletion in client maintanance.

  • Stop and Resume client deletion

    Hi all,
    I have a strange requirement here, I am planning to execute client deletion using parallel processing.  I will be executing the deletion during weekends Saturday & Sunday. In case, if the deletion still continue on Monday morining, I want to cancel the deletion ( Logically STOP) and resume in next weekend..
    Since, client deletion will resume from the point where it stopped, i would like to know the standard procedure of cancelling the deletion job. Does SCC5 or SCC3 provides any option to STOP the active jobs? If not, which is the correct way to stop the active deletion process?
    Please share your experience & thoughts on this line.
    regards,
    VInodh.

    Hi Vinodh,
    Set a background job for client deletion using transaction SCC5 and stop the active job when you want to....using SM37>Job>Cancel active job ....At this time the client is almost completely deleted. If you need to, you can restart the deletion. Because the users must have been deleted at this point, log on as user SAP* and use the initial password PASS and continue with client deletion.
    Award points accordingly,
    Regards,
    Raju.

  • ERP Package for client deletion

    Hi experts,
    I have a problem when I do the client deletion using the process type"ERP Package for client deletion".
    After the first time execution of deleting the datas of table TD09P_*...,
    I received the follows below.
    State of sub-activity  State Sub-activities
    Aborted                                  5
    Completed successfully              10,203
    Completed with warning                   0
    Completed with error                     0
    Running (In process)                     0

    There are 5 aborted jobs

    TD09P_T313J
    TD09P_T313K
    TD09P_T313L
    TD09P_T313LD).
    I checked the logs, which said all these 5 like this:
    Message text
    Job started
    Step 001 started (program /TDM/9_300_90007_02208_C, variant &0000000000007, user ID LEEE03)
    Error while reading cluster CNVMBTCLU, Key 0144703489
    Job cancelled
    I searched in note1175565 and found that it was fixed since I have updated to sp11 already.
    Also I tried to re-run the cancelled jobs manually using sm37, the error is like this:
    Job started
    Step 001 started (program /TDM/9_300_90007_02208_C, variant &0000000000007, user ID LEEE03)
    Session ID C1290007000000000010 is not valid
    Job cancelled
    according to these above, could anyone tell me the reason?
    Thanks& Best Regards,

    Hi
    I had the exact same issue, and what i have found was that the tool drop all the authorization data and if you had specified a cust profile that handle the RFC authorization then the RFC connection to the receiver system then no longer works.
    The way I managed to solve the issue was to change the SAP_TDMS_MASTER role and added in object S_RFCACL with all permissions and generated and activated it.
    This allowed the RFC to work again and then you could restart the process from the central system

  • FtpClient client.delete("file") won't compile?

    Hello Fine People,
    I have this ftp program that is working, except for the delete command:
    import sun.net.ftp.*;
    import sun.net.*;
    String server = "192.168.0.0";
    String user = "me";
    String passwd = "mypassword";
    FtpClient client = new FtpClient();
    client.openServer(server);
    client.login(user, passwd);
    TelnetInputStream tis = null;
    client.binary();
    client.cd("Composites");
    tis = client.list();
    client.get("filename");
    client.delete("filename");
    This is roughly how it is. Without the last line, it compiles and runs fine. But when I add the client.delete line, it won't compile and gives this error:
    ImageTransfer.java:229: cannot resolve symbol
    symbol : method delete (java.lang.String)
    location: class sun.net.ftp.FtpClient
    client.delete("filename");
    Please help!
    - Logan

    Yes. The class you should be importing is, obviously, FTPClient. But don't waste your time trying to compile what is clearly just a code fragment example. The article lists several sources of FTP client software. Once you have chosen one package to evaluate, write your test program using the actual classes from that package, using its API documentation for guidance.

  • Can I delete all files and users (including admin account) without re-installing SL?

    I have a 1st generation Macbook Air, running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  Just bought myself a new MBA, want to sell the old one (privately, not soliciting here).
    The original install disks were Leopard.  I bought a family pack SL and upgraded the MBA at that point.  Earlier this year I sold my old Mac Mini (when I upgraded) and included the SL install disks with that sale (stupid of me).
    Now I want to sell the old MBA.  Ideally, I'd have a clean install on SL on it, minus all previous files and accounts.  I've done that before when selling old computers, reformatted / erased the HD, then reinstalled the OS.  But I don't have the SL disk anymore, and I don't really want to pay for it just to prep this notebook for sale.
    AFAICT, my options are:
    wipe the HD and reinstall Leopard (the only OSX disks I have).  Whoever buys it from me would need to upgrade to SL themselves, and from there to Lion if they want.
    somehow try to delete all files and users without touching the current install of SL.  I'm not terribly worried about security of what little information is on the MBA (nothing important to me), so I don't mind trashing files and then emptying trash instead of wiping the HD block by block.
    Any ideas for how to do #2?  I can trash all files/folders under /user, uninstall all applications and delete their folders from Library, uninstall all browsers except Safari and wipe the history from that...
    Is there other stuff I should be deleting?  plist files, maybe?  I'm leery of messing around too much and disrupting the install of the underlying OS.
    Can I also delete the admin account (or rename it "admin" with a generic default password?)?
    Any other suggestions?  Thanks.

    Trashing files you have created is relatively easy. Getting rid of an account is a bit harder. Trashing the .plist files, etc., that may contain personal info is a lot harder, and there is always the risk that you will miss something.
    Best, and easiest, and customary, is to do option #1 - wipe the drive and re-install the original OS from the original disk set. The receiver of the machine can then decide which OS they want to upgrade it to, and purchse accordingly.
    The original disk set for that machine should be included with it when it is sold.

  • Where is the "DELETE" tab in Edit User in Portal?

    Hi,
    Portal version 3.08 on solaris. I logged on as Portal30. Go to Login Server, Administer User, Edit a user, and I saw a DELETE tab for that user. I can delete a user there.
    However, if I go to Edit user under the Create user portlet. I chose a user to edit,
    but I don't see a "DELETE" tab, I only see tabs like: "Reset to Defaults", "Apply", "OK", "CANCEL".
    Why?
    In portal 3.0.7, NT, I can see the "DELETE" tab in both places. Is this a change for 3.0.8?
    Thanks;
    Kelly.

    I check this in Portal308, deleting user from login server is not equal to delete from portal. In PORTAL30.WWSEC_PERSON$ table still remain personal details of deleted user.
    Is it bug or right functionality?
    For me it is some kind of bug. When you re-create user in sso server it tooks over all pers. data from old user.
    Thanks for any answers

  • Client deletion taking long time....

    Hi All,
    I have been going through tough times in SAP ECC right now.
    I am doing a client deletion using SCC5. Total entries in tables were 58514.
    It was going fine till it reached 58504. From then onwards, the tables SAP is deleting are having crores of entries, which is why it is taking time.
    My question here is, Is their any way by which we can delete the entries fast?
    Like from Database level. Database iam having is Oracle. Can we run any sql delete command to delete entries from backend while SAP client deletion is in progress.
    Its been 3 days since i have started client deletion and it is very frustrating now.
    Could anyone of you please help me with this?

    Hi,
    Thank u all for helping me out....
    Well i am done with Client deletion....I deleted the entries from SQL level.
    My client deletion is completed but with dictionary errors.
    There are around 3-4 tables in which maximum of 100 entries are still remaining.
    Now my doubt is whether i should go ahead with client copy or not?
    If yes, please assist me with steps before starting copy, so that it doesnot take much time similar to client deletion (6 days)..
    Regards,
    Vikram

  • New and Delete missing on the Users page

    Somehow the New and the Delete button in the "Users" page have disappeared, even for users in the "administrators" and "user administrators" set, but we did not realize this until we restarted the machine recently. A lot
    of things have changed in the mean time. Any suggestions on what I should be checking? Note that we did not knowingly implement any policies to hide these buttons. Any insight/suggestions to make these buttons to appear will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    John

    Got it solved. The configuration migration tool deleted the original "User Administrators" set and recreated a new one, which had a new GUID. Since the users page looks for the GUID of the original User "User Administrators" set to determine
    who can see the New/Delete buttons and who cannot, it did not recognize the newly created "User Administrators" and hence hid those buttons. So I went to the FIM Service database and replaced the GUID of the newly created set with the old GUID (I
    would not go to the details here though as this involves updating GUIDs inside the DB which MSFT usually do not recommends).

  • Enable save for all users in rich client document defaultly for all users

    Hi,
    Is there a option to enable save for all users in a rich client document defaultly for all users across the company. As the users who are creating reports are forgetting to check the box before sending the rich client document to others. Kindly let me know if you have any suggestions on this.
    Thanks,
    Karthik

    I'd suggest that is is where your BO folder structure comes in. You can export from Rich Client to any folder that you have permissions to access - some sort of collaboration folder system would potentially be better and more secure than sending unsecured reports via email. If your IT security team found out that you were removing document security, I doubt they'd be impressed!
    You can't do the default save for all users, simple as that (it's bad practice anyway, which is probably why you can't). While it's not the answer that you want to hear, it is the correct one.

  • Client Deletion Takes long time

    Hi All,
    Need help, Every month in our quality system we do client refresh so we delete existing data from quality and take export from production and Import into quality.Client Import takes 15 hrs but to delete client  it almost takes 36 hrs. There are PCL4/2/1 tables which takes more time to delete the data even not sure they will delete all the data.Looks like these are cluster tables so what can be do to have more optimize client deletion.
    To delete client from OS level is is safer side?  What can be other ways...?

    Hi
    PCL4 is not a cluster, at least on Ehp6 at DB level it is a transparent table, that means that the table does exist at both SAP & DB level.
    There is a way to process deletion faster, at least for Oracle (but it could also work for other DB)
    Create a new temporary table table with a CTAS command (copy table as select) to only include the data for the clients you want to keep.
    You can then drop the original table and rename the temporary table to the original name.
    Watch out CTAS does not copy indexes, constraints and default values.
    If you are using Oracle DB datapump query parameter can be the best option.
    You could export the data for the client you want to keep (setting a "query" option like query=" where MANDT in ('200', '300')") , truncate the table and import back the data.
    The point here is that copying / inserting new records is faster than deleting.
