Client Independent custom table create

Hi ,
As per the requiremnts i have created a custom table in Client DEV1... and updated the table through an interface.
The custom table have 12 entries in that Client.
Now the same custom table when checked in another DEV Client DEV2 which is almost the replica of DEV1.. i.e if any custom table or custom program is ctreated in DEV1 it reflects in DEV2,,,,  the entries are not found.
COuld anybody let me know incase some settings needs to be checked for checking the same entries in Client DEV2 as in Client DEV1 for the same custom table?
Or there are some steps included while creating thre custom table so that its entries are found in both clients ?
Or execute the interface in DEV2 can create entries.
Which odf the above approach needs to be considered ?
Thanks
Kritika

Hi Kritika !!
If you want to reflect the same records in different clients, you have to delete the MANDT field from your Custom table. then only the records will reflect in all the clients of the same Custom Table.
If you are not willing to remove the Field MANDT from Custom table and U need the same records in all the clients, U have to create records through Utilities -> Table Contents -> Create Entries or with the Help of TMG or with the help of Ur Interface.

  • Custom tables create in Apps schema ( What are the problems with this?)wwww

    Hello all,
I'm a dba in a new environment where a number of custom schemas are being created in the apps schema. I know this is not considered Oracle's best practice and I would like to make some recommendations for a change. Before doing so, I would like to know the problems that are associated with custom tables living in the apps schema. We are currently on 11.5.10.2 on AIX. Also, if someone can point me to any "Official" customization standard or Oracle documention where I can backup my case it would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to get all the custom tables created in database

    Hi,
Is there any sql query present to fetch the name of all the custom tables(Not the tabless inbuilt tables which is given by oracle) present in any module like iExp,iRec or anything.
    Thanks

It is difficult to differentiate custom tables from the seeded ones if there is no naming conventions followed during their creation. The custom schema or owner name can be used to differentiate them.

  • Custom table - delivery class?

I need to create a z-table to list the email-ids that I want to notify to, in case of program errors. Should I make the delivery class of this table 'C'? And is best practise to make the data transportable? Or should my users just enter data in each system.
I am kind of confused...Could any of you please clear me on this concept of Deliver class please. Your help is very much appreciated.
    thanks!

    Vishnu,
Did you try? I tried these things long back and documented the behavior
May be you tried it very long back, indeed. Atleast for releases > ECC6.0 EhP3 client-independent customizing tables prompt for WB requests.
    ... C, G, and E will only trigger customizing requests ....
Unfortunately you're wrong! Did you check the transaction FILE? All the tables involved are of Delv. Class 'G'; but still when you try to save a logical file it asks for a WB request, ever wondered why?
    Still not convinced, check [this|https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/kBwoENEIkUTsGuJUTn9Q5tMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink]!
Suhas Saha wrote. "Customizing TRs are raised for client-dependent tables & workbench for client-independent ones!"
This was w.r.t customizing tables & not application tables, as you were talking about customizing tables in your previous response.
I can create a table with MANDT assign delivery class A or S and can trigger workbench requests on it.
I know it does. IMHO type 'A' tables are for storing master and/or transational data & it does not make sense to transport these data.  For e.g., BKPF is type 'A' & not transportable, but T001 is type 'C' & transportable.
If i want to transport the data across my landscape i would make it 'C' & not 'A'.

  • Client dependent and client independent in ALE

I am going through pdf learning of an ALE scenario,i couldnot get wat is meant by client Independent and client dependent.
    How can i conclude
    Create message type (WE81){color:green} Client independent {color}
To create a new message type, follow these next few steps:
u2022 Enter transaction WE81 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Create logical message type)
u2022 Choose Create logical message type by double clicking on it
u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
u2022 Click on New entries to add a new type
u2022 Enter the required message type, in our case it is ZINVRV and an appropriate description
    u2022 Save and exit.
Your message type has now been created. The next step will be to link it to the IDoc.
    2.2.1. Link message to IDoc type (WE82 & BD69) {color:green} Client independent {color}
To link the message type to the IDoc type follow these next few steps:
u2022 Enter transaction WE82 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> EDI: Message Types and Assignment to IDoc Types)
u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
u2022 Click on New entries to create the link
u2022 Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    u2022 Save and exit
u2022 Enter transaction BD69 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Assign message type to IDoc for ALE)
u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
u2022 Click on New entries to create the link
u2022 Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    u2022 Save and exit
Your IDoc is now linked to your message type. We still need to link object types and add the message to the model before we can use the message.
2.2.2. Maintain object type for message type (BD59) Client independent
The ALE objects are used to create links between IDocs and applications objects, to control the serialisation, to filter messages in the customer model and to use listings.
For our own message type and IDoc you must maintain object types for the links.
If you want to check the serialisation for the message type, then you must maintain object types for the serialisation. If no serialisation object has been maintained for a given message type, then the serialisation will not be checked for this message type.
To add an object type to our message type, follow these next few steps:
u2022 Enter transaction BD59 (ALE -> Extensions -> ALE object maintenance -> Maintain object types)
    DOC NAME: ALE_SCENARIO_DEVELOPMENT_PROCEDURE
    Version 1 Page 6 of 16
    ALE Scenario Development Guide
u2022 Type in your message type ZINVRV and press enter
    u2022 Click on New entries
u2022 Enter your object type, LIFNR (We need to use the vendor as a filter object), the segment name where LIFNR resides, Z1INVRV, a number 1 for the sequence followed by the actual field name LIFNR
    u2022 Save and exit.
You have now created an object that weu2019ll use as a filter object in the customer model to direct the flow of messages to the various logical systems based on the vendors in the filter of the message type ZINVRV.
We now need to add our new message type to the distribution model.
    2.3. Configuring the Distribution Model
This task is performed on your ALE reference client.
    2.3.1. Manual Configuration (BD64) {color:green}  Client dependent {color}
To manually configure the customer distribution model, read the ALE configuration procedure, and follow these steps:
u2022 Perform the Maintain customer distribution model directly function. (ALE -> Distribution customer model -> Maintain customer distribution model directly)
u2022 Specify the customer model you want to maintain and the logical system that is to be the sender of the messages OR create a new model. (Create model ALE with logical system ALELS1C400)
u2022 Choose the receiving systems to which the sending system must forward message type ZINVRV to.
u2022 For each receiving logical system allocate the message type necessary for communication to the receiving systems as per ALE configuration procedure.
u2022 Create filter objects (in our case LIFNR as the object type with the associated vendor number, 0000018001 with leading zeros, in the object area) for the message types.
    u2022 Save the entries.

Client-independent data such as ABAP Programs, R/3 repository objects throught the entire system. Other data is client-dependent. meaning, it can be viewed from one client. Cleint-dependent data includes customizing application and user data.
    Eg.
Scripts are client dependent, means the changes done to SAP scripts in particular client will not be reflected in other client.
Smartforms are client independent, means changes done in one client will be reflected in all the clients.
    Server : ECC6
    Client : 100 , 200 , 300 , 400
Now suppose you have developed report in DV server client 100.
Then you will be able to see that in all clients.
Hence this is called as client independent. You can change anywhere and changes will be reflected to all ...
Now suppose you have developed a script in DV client 100.
You will not be able to see that in client 200 or 300 or 400 unless ytou copy that from client since it is client dependent.

  • SQVI (or SQ01) and how to insert custom table

    Hello
I'm trying to create an SoD report in R3 4.6C where I've created around 400 user groups based on HR employee information, the users are now assigned to their new (but still to be verified) user groups in DEV and QAS and I'm now at the stage of trying to link these to a custom table of paired conflicting transactions which have been provided by the business.
I'm using SQVI in QAS instead of SQ01 due to authorisation and time constraints as I just need to see if the report would actually work without bringing the system to its knees. I'm hoping this isn't the case...
I can insert tables and link USOBT to AGR_1251 then to AGR_USERS and then to USGRP_USER but the custom table with tcode A to tcode B isn't available to insert. The aim is to define a single user group as a starting point to run and analyse and gradually increase the number of user groups in the program in background mode to build up a picture of the number of conflicts based on users' object activities. (A poor man's RAR I suppose)
Without ABAP assistance, as there isn't any for several months, is there a way a custom table be made visible to SQVI please?
As always, no points are given regardless but a warm thank you is always given for any comments or assistance whether or not actually stated.
    Cheers
    David

    Hi Sandipan
Also, pool/cluster tables cannot be used in SQVI. It always has to be transparent table if you want to insert it in SQVI.
Thanks Sandipan, it does look like this custom table isn't going to work based on this insight.
    Hi Julius
Thanks for that one - a report in SUIM I have never used before!
We don't yet have the RSUSR008_009_NEW report in this version but the transparent table USKRIA from RSUSR009 can be inserted but doesn't result in anything unfortunately - however - running the report from SUIM, it appears to be a list of either SAP delivered or customer defined critical objects which I'm still a bit confused about (as you probably expected) as it is a list of 'ID's - 71 in QAS.
This really does look similar to the client's custom table that has already been generated with 1400+ entries where it might be possible to add the transactions to the 'ID' field with their SU24 values, this would then, hopefully, let me do a join to exclude users who don't have the object, field name and 'from' values in the AGR_1251 entries.
The next step from that (in the original SQVI) was to do a join to find users with both transactionA and transactionB but, maybe, this isn't possible in R3. I'm trying to avoid using Microsoft Access to manipulate tables out of SAP as it's an extra offline process that will only add confusion and probably end up in the Recycle bin once I've left.

  • How to create the custom table?

Hi, how to create the custom table and how to integrate the table with defferent R/3?
my requiremnt is i have to create the two tables and those i have to integrate with the existed R/3 and using those R/3 i have to update my custom tables .....can give me some idea?

how to create the custom table
There are two approach in creating a table.
    1. Bottom-up approach
    2. Top-down approach.
Both are valid and you can choose which approach is suitable for you. I always use the bottom-up approach. Here are the steps to create the tables with this approach.
    1. SE11 will take you to the DDIC and enter the name of the new table to be created. Let us say Zname. Click create.
    2. Enter the short discription of the table and enter the field of the table. If it is primary key and you have to check the box.
    3. Enter the data element and double click it, you will be asked to save and will take you to data element discription page. Enter the short discription of the data element and enter the information of domain like the length of field and type of field.
    4. If you wanted to use the existing domain then its fine, or else, you have to create one. Enter the domain name in the data element page and double click it. Page will ask to save and jump to domain creation page.
    5. In the domain page, you have to save the information which you have already given in the data elements page and check it. Before going to data element page, you have to activate the domain.
    6. Go to data element page and save, check and activate.
    7. Go to main table page and save, check, and activate.
    8. Also, you have to save the technical settings of the table.
The table is now ready for operation. You can use it in your program or you can use it to enter information.
Check table: It is the table which will have all the information about the Foreign keys which are the primary keys in the check table.
It can be created by creating the foreign key from the main table. Click foreign key in the main table and it will take you to a page which will ask for table name and field to which foreign key relation has to be associated. Enter the information and you can create the check table automatically.
SM30 is used for maintenance of the table, that is to realease the errors occured during the creation of the table.

  • Problem in creating 800 client to see table content .

    HI,
I am new to sap .  I have ideas 4.7 in windows 2003.  i can see table content under user sap* and password 060719* . I  have created a user sapuser . through client 000 , i can create create abap program , but could not find ant table content like mara . at first time  after creating sapuser , it asked me the access key. i gave 36687663221261278694 and it has taken . but to see table content , i created a new user as partha in client 800. but at first time at the time of logging it is asking the access key. though i am giving same key it is not taking .
       1) is there any other key for that educational version ?
       2) how to crreate a user in client 800 . pls give step by step procedure .
       3) for creating a user under client 800 . should i delete my sapuser created under 000 client.

    Hi Jack,
First of all, the client 000 is one of the standard clients that comes with any SAP R/3 installation (with client 001 and 066 (for EarlyWatch for SAP auditory purposes)). To work with the system you should always make a copy of the client 000 or 001 to a new client i.e. client 200, 400, or whatever name.
In the case of IDES, the system always comes with the client 800, where you can find all the IDES configuration and data (for test, training, sandbox). If you want to work in the system you should work on this client (800). To check the tables you can always use transaction se12 (table structure: fields, keys) and se16 to see the table content. If you want to create users you should always do it in the client 800 or any other client you've created (not in the standard ones 000, 001, 066, try to maintain these clients clean of any custom data).
To view the tables data you dont need any key.  The keys are requested when you want to register a developer user (to create a new abap program (all the new programs must start with Z (or X,Y) to differentiate from the standard SAP programs. The keys are also requested when you want to edit a standard program or table or any other standard SAP object.
    1) To get the keys for any SAP system (there are 2 types of keys: developer user and for editing any standard object) you must log on the OSS service (with the user and password provided by SAP when you got your SAP software) : service.sap.com/sscr. Here you use the installation number of your IDES system (the system must be registered in OSS) and then you can create your developer users or standard object keys.
2)To create a user in any system you need to go to transaction SU01. Here you can make a copy of SAP* user for example (choosing in the trx the button copy) to create your new user. you assign a password to the user and save it. You need to login again on the system and put your new password. This is the easiest way, otherwise you can create a user from zero but you will need to add more information to the user. To start you can create a copy of SAP* or DDIC users.
    3) Yes, I suggest you delete the user you've created in client 000, try to keep it clean of any customer modifications (you could leave it there but is not a good practice). If you want to work with your IDES system and the IDES data, use the client 800.
    Good luck,

  • Create custom table in MSA

    Hi Gurus,
I have a custom table in CRM online (eg. ZABC). I need to use it in MSA application. How to send it to a mobile machine? What are the steps to make is (bdoc, smo-table, sync-object...)?
    regards,
    Zoltán Károlyi
    ps: SAP CRM 4.0 sp12

    Hello Károlyi
lot of steps have to be done.
If the table (ZABC) is presnt in the CDB, first you need to have the correponding mapped Write BDOC for that table. If the Table/BDOC is not present, you need to create a new one.
Once the BDOC and Table is available in the CDB,  you need to Generate the table scripts and generate the metadata using client console.exe in the mobile client machine. This step will just ensure you to gat the BDOC metadata and table structure to the mobile client.
I think you would be requiring this for some enhancement in mobile, in that case you need to Generate the table scripts and generate the metadata using client console.exe in the MDW machine.
Are you planning for some enhancements in mobile application ??

  • Client independant tables

How could I find client independant tables? Can anyone name the most important cross client tables? Which functionalities they cover?
    Thank you in advance

    Tina,
The client-dependent (or non cross client) tables are mostly the ones related to bussiness data (master, application data) and customizing, also user master data with authorizations, variants.
The client-independent tables are mostly the ones related with Basis (configurations that apply to all clients) and very specific customizing in some modules, dont know exactly which ones but maybe in the Functional Forum they can tell you if you need it.
    Hope it helps you,
    Jessica.

  • How to Create Transport Request For custom table

    Hello All,
I have and requirement to create transport request automatically when and record inserted in to the custom table.
Actually FI whe people create or delete  some bank account from DEV client the transport request  creates automatically and they transport that request to Quality and Production system to delete or create that account from all the systems.  but when they delete the account all the informations related to that bank accounts get deleted from all the standered customize tables .  to keep the track of that deleted account I have created one z table which is of type customize table. this table is filled automatically when any account get deleted from DEV system. now I want to pass that record to Quality and Production systems using transport request.
how can i create transport request when record get inserted into my ztable automatically.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vinod

    Hello All,
This is a FAQ and has been answered many times before in the forum.
    1. Maintain delivery class 'C' it will start asking for a TR: False. Delivery class has got nothing to do with the TR prompt. It determines how the data is to be transported. A delivery class 'C' will prompt for a customizing request, whereas a delivery 'A' will prompt for a workbench request.
    2. For the system to automatically prompt for a TR you have to select the "Standard Recording Routine" in the table maintenance generator. This will prompt you for a TR every time you try to create / modify a record & save it to the DB.
Hope i am clear in my explanation.
If your table is filled automatically through some coding you have to add the entry to the TR programmatically. • Difference between client dependent table and client independent table

    hi all,
i m new in sap pls tell me the difference between client dependent table and client independent table.
    tell me in detail.
    thanks and regards
      vikas saini

    HI
Client dependent Means if you create that data in one client is limited to that client only and it is not accessable in other clients
Like SAP SCRIPTS and STD texts data
where as Client Independent means the data if you create in one client that is available in that as well as in other clients
Like SMARTFORMS, All dictionary Objects data and Repository objects data like Programs, Fun modules, tables etc..
There is no specific reason behind why scripts are client dep[endent and smartforms are client independent!!!
As for SAP -- Scripts are called client dependent because if you create client in say,200 it would be available in that only.If you want to test the script in client 300 then it won't be there, you will have to go to transaction se71 in 300 .Then Utilities-> Copy from client.Give the source as 200 & form name(i.e. script name) & copy.
Few more reasons why....? Please read below:
    SAPscript technology is based on a mainframe product from the 1980s.SAPscript forms have always been -- under the hood -- relatively passive objects, with minimal embedded logic. These forms were designed to be driven and controlled by ABAP programs, much in the way ABAP programs read in database tables to produce reports;
if you ever download a SAPscript form (e.g., via utility program RSTXSCRP), and look at the portable text file it produces you'll see what I mean.
Many text objects (e.g., invoice header texts) are bound directly to documents which are client-dependent, so it makes sense for these text objects to also be client-dependent. From a complexity standpoint, SAPscript forms are close enough to these text objects where I can see how it made sense at the time to make them client-dependent too.
