Client is not known to the message server

Hi,
I've search SAP Notes but could not find any answer to my problem. I am running 4.7 (620) on Ora 9i, Windows 2000 Advanced Server and kernel 155. We have 2 application servers and one DB server.
I get an error message every 5 minutes in the system log reading:-
Client PRD01PRD_00 is not known to the message server
Client PRD02PRD_00 is not known to the message server
This message translates in dev_w0 as follows:-
ERROR => ThCheckReqInfo: message send/receive failed [thxxhead.c 16132]
ERROR => ThSysAdmMsg: ThAdmSend [thxxab.c   6903]
Please advise on a solution.

Dear Ferrandi,
this is an attempt to send an ADM message to a given instance. The problem is that the message server is not aware of such an instance. If you say that this happens every 5 minutes, it will be some kind of automatic job trying to speak to an instance not available in the system. I would suggest that you reset the trace files, then switch the trace level of the first three dialog work processes to 2 (components taskhandler, abap proc., and scrn. proc.) and then set the profile parameters
rdisp/TRACE_LOGGING = on, 10m
rdisp/TRACE_PATTERN_0 = ERROR => ThSysAdmMesg: ThAdmSend
so that tracing will stop as soon as the problem happens again. Do post the work process trace file that has the error message here or send it via mail to me so that I can check which report is being run.

  • Client x.x.x.x is not known to the message server

    Hi,
    One of my customers is getting strange messages in the Development system of their SRM landscape. The messages are:
    Client x.x.x.x is not known to the message server
    Where x.x.x.x is the IP address of a workstation. The messages occur a few times per day, and they are always grouped. There are always about 5 identical messages with the same IP, but the next occurence may be from a different IP. Also, the QAS and PRD systems are configured identically (as far as I know) but they do not have this message.
    I do not understand why this message occurs. The "clients" of a message server are it's application servers, not the connected workstations. The users/developers are not doing anything special at this time. There are no dumps, the messages only appear in ST22.
    At another forum it was suggested that the problem may be with the printers in SPAD (there was one type F printer which I chaged to type G and eventually removed, but no change) or with the operation modes. I was also asked to check the logon groups. Everything seems normal there too.
    Does anyone have any idea where to look?

    Check this SAP NOTE ...The R/3 System relies on the operation system to resolve names and IP-addresses of other hosts (for example, host names of other Application Servers in the same R/3 system or IP-addresses of client computers that access the system).
    Try adding the host entries of R/3 system(Messager server) on Client computer and check if it works.

  • Server 2008 TS - some client could not connect to the server

    Hi guys,
    I have a Server 2008 x64 Terminal Server with license server (some machine) and installed device CALs.
    I can connect with Windows 7 client to Terminal Server by RDP (TS assign device CAL to every connected machine automatically) without problem, but I get this error message if I try connection with Motorola (Symbol) MC8080 mobile scanners:
    "Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer.
    Very that you are logged on the network, and then try connecting again."
    I tried different settings by KB2477176 and activate/deactivate server, but it didn't solve the problem.

    (These scanners can connecto to another Terminal Server.)
    Is it client or server-side issue?

    Please again cross check whether you have properly configured certificate attached with the server. Because the error which you are facing is generally due to corrupted certificate on server side. As you have already tried, I again want you to back up the registry
    setting and then remove the X509 certificate registry key under below mention path, restart the computer and reactivate the RD Licensing Server. 
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM

    Solution:
    The error might occur due to following cases.
    case 1: when the password is wrong
    case 2: when you try to login from some App
    case 3: when you try to login from the domain other than your time zone/domain/computer (This
    is the case in most of scenarios when sending mail from code)
    There is a solution for each
    solution for case 1: Enter the correct password.
    Recomended: solution for case 2: go to
    security settings at the following link https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps and
    enable less secure apps . So that you will be able to login from all apps.
    solution 1 for case 3: (This might be helpful) you need to review the activity. but reviewing the activity will not be helpful due to latest security
    standards the link will not be useful. So try the below case.
    solution 2 for case 3: If you have hosted your code somewhere on production server and if you have access to the production server, than take remote
    desktop connection to the production server and try to login once from the browser of the production server. This will add exception for login to google and you will be allowed to login from code.
    But what if you don't have access to the production server. try
    the solution 3
    solution 3 for case 3: You have to enable
    login from other timezone / ip for your google account.
    to do this follow the link https://g.co/allowaccess and
    allow access by clicking the continue button.
    And that's it. Here you go. Now you will be able to login from any of the computer and by any means of app to your google account.

  • Most of the time, when I try to load the home page, I get the message server not found - now I get this message and can't go anywhere

    I have dial up - once I connect to the internet, I get the message server not found and am unable to go anywhere on the internet. This started trying to load my banks online site and started about a week ago. I've tried freeing popup blocker, gone through the settings with a bank IT specialist, tried to us IE which has resulted in a request for a cable and now no access to any website.     A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.<br />
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    If the system information page is showing 3900, you should use 3900 in your studio settings.
    39xx is the new default for 2004s. It was 36xx with 2004. And xx is the instance number.

    I have an issue using RPT file to generate a report using my .NET web app on the server, locally the report is generated fine, but on the server it's giving me the error "The field name is not known":

    The line mentioned above causing the error, is a script on crystal report to suppress the field if this condition is met:

    My PC is running Crystal Report version 11, however the Crystal Report runtime on the server running the version 10.5.1.0
    Both locally and on the server, i'm using the same datasource. Even locally i'm connecting the database on the Server.

    Did you ever fix this problem? The same thing happened when I just changed my kids passwords and now can't access their mail on their iPods or my iPad but I use the same email provider and mine is fine however I did not change my password.  If you fixed it how did you?

    Have you tried the following troubleshooting document?

    You should see something like:
    If it says "UP", this indicates ADE will be able to contact activation server.
    If not, then, maybe firewall is causing you this issue.
