Client not syncing

Hi All
I've got a clean install of leopard client, and leopard server, both running 10.5.1.
A PHD on my laptop goes through it's checks, auto resolves and compares the files without a problem, and even give's we the option of resolving conflicts manually. However it then starts the sync and I get these errors in the log.

It get's stranger as usual, I've upgraded to 10.5.2
It now sync's, and transferred over 10gb of data to the server, but ends with this in the FileSyncAgent-Verbose.log

Even though it has transferred the data to the server, it still says that it has never synced from the home folder icon on the top menu bar.
This is really confusing, as the log also states "Last successful sync completed at (null)."
But having logged into the account from another machine I can see that all the new data is there.
I'm seeing similar issues on the other test machines, they sync when first created, and then stop syncing. I've created a new PHD after upgrading everything to 10.5.2, so I'll keep an eye on that, but it doesn't help the other machines.
Anyone have any ideas?

Address Book Server will not sync all fields with iOS client

Hello,
I am getting really frustrated with my Mac Mini Server.
Apparently, the Address Book Server DOES NOT sync all fields.
Only standard vCard-fields seem to synced.
I have not successfully synced user-defined fields, such as an additional date.
Any ideas / infos on how to achieve this if this possible at all?

One thing: I posted the same question in the "Lion" (non-server) discussion - sorry for any confusion.
One thing I noticed:
All changes made on the server in the OS X Address Book are distributed to two iOS clients (iPod 4th Gen iOS4 iPhone 3GS iOS 4).
Any help is appreciated.

I just found out that after editing the newly distributed entry on an iOS4-Client, some fields on the server are deleted!

After more than a year of success, email will not sync

After more than a year of successfull syncs with iTunes, my iPhone GS will not sync with my Outlook Calendar. I get the message, "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging requrest. Pleae run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."
The problem with complying with that message is that I DO NOT use Outlook as my default mail client on my PC. I DO use Outlook for my Calendar on the PC and have, in the past, been able to sync with the iPhone calendar.
On the iPhone, I can receive my email from GMail and another provider without problem. On my PC, I use Forte Agent as my email program.
I know of nothing that I have done to change settings an any program that would affect the ability to sync my calendar with outlook but NO NEW calendar entries are reaching my iPhone now. All other portions of the sync appear normal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Subject correction. It should read: After more than a year of success, Outlook Calendar will not sync.
It appears that there are a VERY large amount of problems with the calendar not performing sync correctly. Any answers...?

Mountain Lion Mail not syncing with iCloud

I have a gmail, yahoo mail, microsoft exchange, and apple email account. I can get all of them to sync on my iPhone, iPad, and iMac. However, for some reason only the Apple email shows up on iCloud. I deleted my account and signed out of iCloud on the iMac to hopefully restart but the iCloud mail on Safari is not syncing at all. If someone has a solution to this problem that would be awesome. Thank you.

Mine too is not syncing.
In fact it has become un-usable !!!!!
- When I delete emails from my exchange account, they are initially deleted but then are restored ?
- emails which contain invites to appointments, are not imported to Calendar
- drafts, which I save are not saved.
It is a complete pain, and is resulting in my having to look for another email client.
PLEASE APPLE SORT THIS OUT !!!!

Calendar will not sync from iphone to ical since 10.5.2 update

My iphone has worked perfectly since I bought it last summer & I have been raving about it!
I updated to 10.5.2 and now I am having a syncing problem.
If I put an appointment in the iphone it will not sync to ical, but it does sync from ical to the iphone.
This is all new since 10.5.2.
Are there some simple steps to follow to resolve this issue?

1. got the back up done. After I answer your couple of quesitons, i will do the reset.
2. I am responding to you using my .mac account, which, as you know, is IMAP.
3. In addition, I do have a POP ( Yahoo) account that I use a great deal. I use the Mac Mail application to grab the Yahoo e mails for me, as I thought that would be the easiest set up. ( Just launch Mail and every e mail is available for viewing). I suspect you are going to advise me to take the steps to turn my POP Yahoo into an IMAP Yahoo???.
4. So I think I may have answered you question about accessing this account with an email client, right? I am using Mail.
5. Thanks for the thought on the incoming e mail server. Good to know.
6. My Mac account settings for removing messages from the server when downloaded by the email client ( Mail?) are: (1) for the Yahoo - I looked under Accounts/Advanced. And, if that is the right place, hopefully, I have set it to remove copy from server after retrieving a message after 1 month. ( just being careful). (2) I do not see choices for my .mac IMAP account, except under Trash, and for that I have also chosen 1 month before permanently removing.
How'd I do?? I want to answer your questions as specifically and succinctly as possible. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Outlook 2010 will not sync at all

I have a Iphone 3Gs and Ipad 2 both on IOS 5. Using Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I have stopped using iCLoud and now Outlook will not sync at all. I turned off iCloud on the devices. While working with Steve from Apple customer care we restored the Ipad 2 to New, and I have uninstalled the downloaded MIcrosoft office version and reinstalled it using the CD. It still will not sync any information. Could the problem be due to the iCloud section still shows in Outlook but I get a "The set of folders can not be opened The information source can not be opened" error" Im not sure where to go from here? I dont understand why restoring to New would not work.
I have not done anything with the phone (other than stopping icloud sync contacs & calendar on phone) until I get I find a solution that works.

I got the same problems with win7 and outlook 2007.
My iphone 4 does the sync (supposedly) actions but there is no iPhone Calendar items. on Outlook's Calendar and vice versa, no Outlook Calendar items on iPhone calendar. The Contacts sync gives the same results.
The same thing happens with iPad syncing to the same computer's Outlook.
But the strange things are still to come: When I do the iPhone sync to Outlook, then the iPad, I find iPhone items on the iPad; then I do the iPhone sync again, iPad's items are synced to the iPhone.
It looks like there are hidden Outlook Calendar and Contact files that are synced wiith the iPhone & iPad!
I too get the same error message, Outlook Sync Client has stopped working.

Address Book does not sync with "Truth"

Hey all.
I've been experiencing this problem for some time now. I'm syncing between Address Book, Entourage 2008 and my cellphone via iSync. Recently however, it seems that my Address Book does not sync with the "Truth" anymore. For instance, when I make changes to a contact within my cellphone, after using iSync, the changes appear in Entourage 2008, but not in Address Book. Likewise, if I import a contact's vCard into Address Book, it does not show up in Entourage 2008 or iSync back to my cellphone.
I've tried resetting Sync History through both the button in iSync's preferences as well as terminal. That did not work. Neither did repairing permissions.
Could someone help me please?

If you have developper tools installed, maybe you can take a look a Syncrospector, located in /Developer/Applications/Utilities/
You should see AddressBook in clients list, with last sync data and registered entities (data types).
You can also check if /System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework/Resources/AddressBookSync.app is present on your disk.

[E71-1] Nokia messaging not sync even after firmwa...

Hi all,
For the past 3 months, my Nokia messaging is not SYNC automatically again from my Nokia E71-1.
Yesterday I tried to firmware upgrade my E71-1 (to latest firmware ver 410.21.010); and install Nokia Messaging from OVI store.
And then after 1st sync, all my emails coming back up (which is great); but then I have to sync manually to get the latest email.
Currently I have 5 emails account inside my Nokia messaging account (they are 2xGmail, Yahoo and other 2 from my local ISP).
Plan: Nokia Messaging - operator subscriber
Subscription status Active
My server settings:
- Server name: netac5.vie.hosting.no... (unable to read the rest text)
- Send and Receive: Soonest (I've changed to "every 15 minutes"; still the email not sync'ed automatically)
Is this issue because I have 5 email accounts checked by my Nokia Messaging?

I found a solution that works for my E71-1 (client 9.7.0.2). It's quite simple: In the Option menu of your Nokai email application - that is where you can see the buttons for all email accounts plus the SYNC button etc. - you should see an 'go online' or 'go offline' command (in German 'online gehen' or 'offline gehe'. After toggling this command from 'go online' to 'go offline' which will turn you on line, you can see the sync icon in the header line to go PERMANENTLY to sync status. It will sync every minute or so depending on your settings.
I can't believe it, that this is the solution after all the time I spent looking for it.

Playlist will not sync

I'm working with a client who is syncing his iPod touch. He's been adding music to this iPod consistently for the last two years, and today, his largest and most frequently play playlist will not sync.
If you click on the device, the playlist appears to be there, but grayed out. I have deleted all the songs added to the playlist since his last successful sync and moved them to another playlist (which is not being synced). The content bar at the bottom of the sync screen appears to shoot up, indicating that it will sync all the playlists selected (a total of 4) but when sync completes, the content bars drops way down, and only the other three (smaller) playlists have synced.
Any suggestions?

I went into preferences, under sharing and denoted the playlists that I would like synced...
The Sharing prefs are for sharing the library/playlists with other computers. It has nothing to do with syncing.

You don't manage lists between units.
When I plug in the ipod for which I would like the playlist synced, the lists do not transfer?
Connect your iPod.
Select it in iTunes then click the Music tab.
Select *Sync selected playlistc* then tick the playlists you want to snyc to that iPod.
Do this for all iPods.

2 Exchange servers not Syncing the GAL

I have 2 exchange 2010 servers on one domain but on different sites, lets call them Site A and Site B, The 2 servers are not syncing GAL's, and if someone from site A visits site B then the have to manually authenticate. Any users created on site A
do not show up in site B's GAL and vice versa , IN AD there are 2 OU's for site A and B.
Everyone authenticated on the same Domain controller.
How can I get the GAL's to sync ?

Go to EMS -> type: Update-OfflineAddressBook "SiteAddressBookname"
type: Update-OfflineAddressBook "SiteBddressBookname" (if you have second one)
Restart System Attendant Service on the OAB Generation Server (Mailbox Server). This service is responsible for generating the OAB by communicating with Active Directory infrastructure.
Either run following command in EMS
Update-FileDistributionService “CASServerName” or just restart File Distribution Service on CAS Server. File distribution service copies the OAB from the Mailbox Server, where System Attendant Service puts OAB in a shared folder “C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange
Server\ExchangeOAB”. Outlook clients then download the OAB from CAS published OAB Virtual Directory.
And then check OAB download in outlook again.
Go TO Exchaneg Management Console and check that your oab has the following settings just to double check:
Properties of OAB
- General = Update schedule is set to run daily at 5:00 A.M
-Address Lists = Include the default Global Address List, Include the following address lists:
All Contacts
All Groups
All Rooms
All Users
Public Folders
-Distribution = Distribution Points: Enable web-based distribution (marked)
OAB (Default Web Site) needs to be added and Enable public folder distribution should be marked

iSync is for syncing contacts and calendars to third-party mobile phones via a USB or Bluetooth connection. iSync has never synced bookmarks and does not sync anything between computers.
Do you actually mean MobileMe Sync? If so, the forum for that is here:

My calendar is not syncing to my macbook pro

I added some appointments on my iphone and when I connected it to my laptop to sync, none of the new items showed up on my calendar. BIG problem! this is the primary reason I switched to iphone from blackberry! so my calendars would be the same and up to date! HELP PLEASE?

most likely - you are not syncing the correct calender with itunes.. (i.e. you added calender events to one email account [yahoo for example] and chose another email account [google for example] to sync with itunes). The first check is to make sure what calender is being synced.
however - if i can make a recommendation....
if you have a macbook pro and an iphone...
I suggest using icloud on both devices. turn on icloud by signing into both on each device....
mac...
system preferences->icloud->check the box for calenders
iphone
settings-> icloud-> click "on" for calenders
You will not have to sync your phone with your macbook pro for these changes to take effect. Calenders are viewable on your mac's ical application, your iphone's calender application, and if you do not have either with you - you can view your calender at www.icloud.com
If for some reason you prefer another calender application, almost every email client has a calender associated with it. So if you have a yahoo email address, and you like using yahoo calender - by turning on calenders in settings -> mail, contacts, calenders-> yahoo email... then you will be able to sync your yahoo email calender with iphone. google's sync of calenders is a bit more tricky, i recommend googling some step-by-step instructions, but the main page to accomplish this is www.google.com/mobile/sync
I recommend icloud since you have apple stuff already, but it's really up to you.

Exchange server not syncing Lync state or Calendar properly

We have several Mac users that have reported that their Lync states will not update (Busy, Meeting, etc), but if they log on to a Windows machine while still logged onto the Mac, the state will update properly. These same users have reported that they
are unable to properly see Attendees is meetings in Outlook for Mac.

If the issue does not occur on Microsoft Windows and Outlook, it means the settings on the Exchange side is fine. You need to check why the MAC client cannot sync the data from the

PRU is not synced with the LC_TallyProducts

Hi!
For a bit more than a year now our inventory service has been malfunctioning, making our servers just collecting the inventory files and not actually doing anything with them.
If i check loader-messages.log while restarting services this sticks out:

This last line is then repeated once in a while, perhaps whenever a client uploads an inventory report.
Trying to deploy new PRUs the following seems to happen:
The PRU is downloaded to /var/opt/novell/zenworks/content-repo/system-update/5D023C0602F248D9AEEB7CCA2E351132
It is unzipped to /var/opt/novell/zenworks/system-update/apply/5d023c0602f248d9aeeb7cca2e351132
Then it bails out trying to apply the PRU, complaining that a zip file can't be extracted (see attatched log)
The file in 1) above is a working zip file, seems to be copied to 2) and unzipped. In 2) there is a folder named pre which contains pru.zip. I suppose this is created somehow, but unfortunately is seems broken.
I've tried downloading the PRU on two servers, one old and one new that hasn't had any PRUs applied at all. Same result.
Looking at https://www.netiq.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7014562 it's suggested to check if PRUVersion and LMPRUVersion from the NC_Pru table in the database are identical.
They unfortunately are not: PRUVersion is 3.6.A.16:20131202 and LMPRUVersion is 3.6.A.16:20131105.
We don't have any SR:s available so I'm hoping someone here know more about this. It's not that serious for us, we have other ways to inventory our devices, but it's nice having it as a complement.
Any suggestions are welcome!

Outlook 2013 not syncing subfolders - IMAP

Hello,
Currently having issues with Outlook 2013 / Office 365 not syncing subfolders correctly.
Example.
Receive email > answer email > move email over to new subfolder > goto subfolder and email does not show?? > go to webmail and both email and subfolder show correctly.
Read lots of articles on this but no solution to the problem.

If this carries on then a move back to Thunderbird is on the cards as i've imaged this along side outlook and do not have any issues with thunderbird. it works perfectly... unlike Outlook.

As per the description above, it seems the subfolder and email message got uploaded correctly to the server, it's just not display in the subfolder in Outlook 2013 client side. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
Does this only happen to this specific subfolder?
To troubleshoot this issue, I would suggest we first check what view settings you have of this faulty folder. Maybe you have it set for Unread Messages Only or something that is filtering out the messages you just moved:
Select the folder, go to "VIEW" tab on the ribbon
Click "View Settings" button. On the "Advanced View Settings" dialog, click "Filter..." button
Check if you have any filters which might filter out the message. Clear it, then try again.
