Clients getting updates from Primary Site~~~SCCM 2012 R2

Hi Guys,
I have one Primary site and 3 DP, And there are lots of branch and we have enable branch Cache using GP.
But i have observed some of my clients not getting updates from respective DP they are directly coming on primary site for updates. In my environment ADR is running for updates.
My boundaries groups and boundaries correctly configured .

There's a lots of installation guide but each guide is for a "standard" installation, your environment is unique and you should get help to be sure to implement SCCM to fulfill your needs.
Installing SCCM without any experience will be tricky and maintain it will be even harder. This is not a simple product.

Windows Updates are not getting download after installation of SCCM 2012 SP1

I have installed SCCM 2012 SP1 step by step as per microsoft documents, Now I am getting error while downloading windows updates from microsoft site.

I have reinstall my SUP on site server, i have my WSUS & site server is on same server. I have kept my sup setting as per requirment (8530 & 8531)

From your log snip-it, it looks like the firewall is causing your problem. Temporary turn off the firewall and see if that solves your problem.

How to update CU1 & CU2 to SCCM 2012 R2

I Install SCCM 2012 R2 then I install CU1 immediately. After about 2 months, I install CU2 in Primary Site.
Now I found some bug, but it should be fixed by CU, then I found this is because I didn't push CU to client.
So I have some questions about Update CU
After Install CU2, I find KB2970177 in server, click "about CM", show the version is
5.0.7958.1303, but I click the properties of primary site. the version is
5.00.7958.1000. Why? Did I finish the Update in primary site?
If I only install SCCM 2012 R2, can I install CU2 without install CU1 first or I must install CU1 before install CU2?
How to deploy CU to Client, I found the package of CU client update. But can I create applications to deploy? or Use software update or compliance? If have some post about these?
I use default Configuration Manager Client Package to do the OSD, can I create new package with CU2?

You essentially can create a new client package with the client hotfix files.
Then adjust your Setup Windows and ConfigMgr TS step by adding the appropriate patch command to the properties section.
I mentioned this in a blog I did about applying R2 CU1. Same process applies with CU2 of course.

OSX - SCEP Agent - Where does it get updates from?

Really simple question that I simply cannot find an answer to.
Where does the OSX version of the System Center Endpoint Protection agent download it's updates from?
For Windows clients we have it set to get updates from SCCM and then failback to Microsoft Update. In SCCM I can see those updates because they are auto-approved to our Software Update Points. Does the OSX agent use SCCM and the same update definitions
or does it just always use Microsoft Update??

IP routing doesn't work the way many folks might initially think it does; functional IP routing requires manual configuration and the establishment of static routes and default routes specific to the local network configurations, and it's very easy to get it wrong, or to get the default route swapped. Multiple NIC boxes don't magically work, either. (Been there, done that, wondered what happened to my network when the paths got reordered or my route settings were messed up, etc.)
Routing configuration errors can be quite subtle, too. (Again, voice of experience. Ever had a thousand-seat office LAN accidentally routing through your desktop? As the, um, unnamed guilty party discovered, getting into that configuration was subtle. Seeing the performance crater on the fellow's box and on the LAN was obvious.)
Knowing how IP routing works is a prerequisite to getting this configuration to work; there's manual configuration required. Clearly something has gone weird here.
What to do? Read up on IP routing. I'll again suggest the threads and the manual mentioned earlier.
And in general, I prefer to avoid using my comparatively expensive Mac boxes as sub-optimal IP routers or as firewall boxes. General-purpose operating systems and generic x86 boxes are going to be inherently poor IP routers. Dedicated routers (or embedded or surplus x86 boxes with routing software loaded) offload the Mac boxes here, and are also typically easier to configure manage. And "real" IP routers can have hardware specific to efficiently routing packets. Use of an outboard firewall or firewall-router box also greatly simplifies gateway routing, too; it's a configuration that many folks and many businesses tend to use.

Getting updates from Mozilla

I'm currently using Ubuntu and Ubuntu's Firefox gets updated from Canonical. How can I change this? I mean I want to get updates from Mozilla and not from Canonical

Firefox stopped updating a while ago for unknown reason;now stuck at v 2.0.0.20-- trying to manually update from your site doesn't work.

Firefox stopped updating a while (couple of years) ago for some unknown reason. The button is checked for automatic updates. It was a while before I noticed, so now I've been stuck at v 2.0.0.20 for some time, and trying to manually update from your site doesn't work.
No update available will work, since I missed some. I can't even see what most of the buttons are on these pages of your site. Do I need to reinstall Firefox, as some people have suggested to me, and if so, how do I go about doing that? I'm not particularly computer program savvy.

Endpoint Protection clients no getting updates from SCCM 2012 in new Secondary Site

I recently stood up a secondary site behind a PCI firewall to manage PCI in-scope systems. All of my boundaries are properly configured and there are no overlaps. I am able to push packages to these clients and the clients are reporting as healthy however
I am not able to get updates to the SCEP clients. There is no internet access from these systems so I have to rely on updates from SCCM. From what I can see in the WindowsUpdate log it is only trying to go to Microsoft for the definitions. Here is the Log:

The log is from a Server 2012 R2 Client. The only thing I was able to find was this Article which did not resolve my issue. Anyone else encounter anything similar? Any help would be appreciated.

Every two hours is too aggressive for the ADR. Definitions are only released 2-3 times a day so every 8 hours is what most consider best practice. Is your WSUS sync occurring every two hours as well? If not, then the ADR wouldn't have anything new to pick
up anyway. It's best to set the WSUS sync for every 8 hours and then set the ADR to run after any successful WSUS sync.
So the EP definitions are caching but not installing? What does the WUAHandler.log show? One of my machines shows the following which indicates a successful installation from the ConfigMgr delivered update:

It sounds like if you set "Check for Endpoint Protection definitions at a specific interval" to 0 then it would prevent the WindowsUpdate.log activity you're seeing when the EP client tries to reach out for updates.

SCCM 2007 - All clients from primary site have vanished from central site collections

Hi all,
we have a SCCM 2007 R2 setup with one central site, one Primary Site (A) with a secondary site hanging off it and another Primary Site (B). Suddenly all the clients from the Primary Site A (and also it's Secondary Site) have vanished from the central
site. All the clients are still present when we check Collections from the admin console on Primary Site A site server - they have simply disappeared when we check Collections from the Central Site admin console.
Can anyone provide any info on a good starting point for troubleshooting this issue? As a sidenote, we can still push packages out to the Primary Site A distribution point and both the Primary and Central site can communicate/ping each other.

site replication on central site, is that SQL is working fine, and also see the
inbox folder in central site, might be there is backlog and those DDR files are
not processing, and after maintenance they got deleted.<o:p></o:p>

the heartbeat discovery by hour or day, and once the clients will sent all the
DDR files then they will appears again.<o:p></o:p>

Reassigning site - SCCM 2012 R2

Hi All,
I am having 2 primary site(PS1,PS2) connected to one cas few of the machine in boundary range of PS2 site were having client installed from PS1 site so they were reporting to PS1 MP. We reassigned the sites to PS2 (by Right clicking &
selecting reassign site & then selecting the name of the second site) but the site code on the machine is not changing nor the site code on SCCM console for the machine is updated. we waited long for around 3-4 days but nothing changed.
then i loged on to the client machine & in the SCCM Client i clicked on "Find Site", PS2 site code was detected immediately.It was also updated in the SCCM Console.
Why the site code is not getting updated after a reassign.

Hi,
Brijj1 is right. These clients are curently assigned to a PS1 so that they cannot be auto assigned to PS2. If wanna do this on the server site, just reinstall the clients.

Locally check how Endpoint Protection client gets updates

Hi,
I'm in the middle of a large deployment of SCEP (ahem) System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection, and I've come across an interesting question. Is it possible to determine the method the local SCEP client used to obtain it's most recent definitions update?
The background here is that our clients are set to obtain updates from the SCCM server, and only from the Internet as a last resort after 12 hours of failure. However, during one recent deployment, the local team reported a spike in their Internet traffic
and believe several hundred SCEP clients updated via the Internet. Is it possible to verify this locally from log files on the computer or some other method?
This is an issue for some of our locations where Internet bandwidth is at a premium, but we have good internal WAN links.

Failed – Site Backup Task at site SCCM 2012.

I configured Backup of SCCM 2012 on my site Primary.
I indicated folder in other server for my Backup of SCCM and SQL, I started all services of Backup in two servers and I gave permission for Everyone in the Sharing and Security.

I'm not sure where to go on this. I've tried a bunch of things like permissions, local vs., remote backup target.

Cumulative Update 4 installation for SCCM 2012 R2

Hi all,
This is my first time installing a CU update on SCCM 2012.
We have an environment with 15 Servers, 1 is a Primary and the other are Site System Servers.
Would I need to install the CU4 update only to the Primary server? or would I have to deploy the CU4 to the other 14 Site Systems Servers.
I've been reading the following

When they're only site systems with a role installed than those roles will be upgraded with the primary site installation. Here is one of the many nice posts about the installation process (and order):

Also, you don't have to install CU3 first.
