Clients upgraded with CU3 still shown with lower version from SCCM console

Hello,
A couple of months ago, I upgraded all my clients with CU3.
As I still have about 2% of clients not shown as upgraded to CU3 when I look in the console, I started to investigate on client side. It appears those clients properly got the upgrade. From control panel, I can see the CU3 version is displayed.
Any idea why the version is not correctly reported from the console ?

The client should provide that information after a heartbeat discovery. Could it be that those clients missed a few heartbeats? If so, trigger them and the information should update.

Yes, PROVIDED that the file has not been saved with any layers containing any of the specific new features introduced starting with Photoshop CC and higher.
If the file has been flattened or if it was flat to begin with there will be no problems.

That Error message is indicative of a Hardware issue. The Device may need Service. Take it in for evaluation.

Unable to install client on windows 7 64 bit enterprise from sccm console. The client is discovered in sccm console with status client = NO, so we want to install sccm client from console remotely.
We cannot enable push install. my id has full access on SCCM site server SCCM product also admin rights on workstations. I am able to access net bios path SMS_<site code> of site server then client path from client machine. machine is in domain and
is boundry of sccm .

Switching an upgrade with a phone from a soon to be deactivated device

So this is my situation, we have a MiFi device that is due for an upgrade. I have a phone that is not charging anymore and my upgrade isn't for a couple months. I know I can transfer the upgrade to another phone so that isn't my question. We finally have a reliable internet service and the contract for the mifi is up. We decided that we are going to get rid of the mifi since we no longer need it (we haven't done this yet). Can we use this upgrade on my phone without having to commit to another two year contract with the mifi? I'm guessing not but I want to know if its possible or not. Any input would be appreciated!

If you use the upgrade, you're still signing a two year contract on the line that had the upgrade available.

Deleted computer object from SCCM console, so why is it still appearing in SSRS reports?

We recently divested about 400 computers from our network. I got a list of these computers and deleted them from both Active Directory and in the SCCM Console. I know the deletes were successful because when I search via device name in the SCCM console
they no longer show up. Yet when I run one of our inventory reports in SSRS I still see several of the devices that I deleted listed there. I thought SSRS represented a" live view" of the SCCM database. If that's true then how can a computer object
that I deleted in the console still be present in the database? Is there something I'm missing?

Okay you are saying to select from v_R_System_Valid instead of v_R_System in my query and that will automatically filter out items I removed in the console? Okay that sounds like what I want, the only problem is my query is selecting form v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.
Can I just add "_Valid" to the end of that and achieve the same result?
Update - Yeah no I tried that and it did not work. Clearly I have a very limited understanding of the SQL views. Interestingly enough Torsten I see you posted a linbk on your blog to a new Microsoft article that documents the SQL views in SCCM 2012. Looking

'Downgrade' iTunes - Library does not open with lower version

I am working with Vector Works 11.5 which requires Quicktime 6.5.1 (it also works with 7.4.3.1). I upgraded my iTunes to the latest version and Vector Works couldn't deal with it. I had to remove Quicktime and reinstall an older version to comply with my Vector Works.
The new version of iTunes obviously couldn't work with the older Quicktime and I installed an older iTunes as well.
My problem now is that I am not able to open iTunes, because the file iTunes Library.itl, which I assume to be the music library can not be read. Is there a way to 'downgrade' the whole setup or to reset the library? I've tried older libraries in the music folder, but that did not solve the problem.

Rename the current library, open iTunes, and drag the folder containing the old library into the open iTunes window. This will not preserve ratings, playcounts, and other metadata.

Saving for Other Users with lower versions of Adobe

I have created a form using Adobe Designer 7 that I am sending to other users. These other users have a mix of older versions of Adobe (5 & 6) and less powerful versions (Reader and Standard). They have not been able to open the form, much less use it. How can I save my file so that they are able to open the form and use it?

Forms designed with Acrobat 6 and below are called "Acro Forms". Forms designed with Form Designer 6 and Acrobat Professional 7 's Form designer are "XFA forms".
Acro Forms will still be supported for some time, but the reality is that XFA forms will be what is used in all future releases. XFA forms do have advantages, such as XML, and data packages. Just take a look at the Designer. Much more simple than Acrobat.

WLC 5508 AP SSO FUS Upgrade with different Versions

Hi everybody,
I've got two 5508 configured as AP SSO and I want to upgrade the FUS to 1.9.0.0
The Image running is 7.6.110.0
On the active controller the FUS Version is 1.3
On the HA-SKU controller the FUS Version is 1.7
Now, can I upgrade the FUS to 1.9.0.0 using the GUI, even when both controllers don't use the same FUS Version? If yes, can I go directly from FUS 1.3 to 1.9.0.0?

Unfortunately its not possible to upgrade just the standby controller in a AP SSO setup. The Command "transfer" is not available on the controller with the standby role. :-/
I don't get it, why it's not possible to upgrade either FUS oder Software in a AP SSO setup without downtime. The reason why people use AP SSO is because they have a sensitive wireless environment (24/7) and care about not having some downtime. Hopefully there will give some improvements in future releases in case of downtimes when upgrading.

Setup Mail Client Imap with login differt from email

i am facing a small issue with the Email app on my Z1.
i am able to setup my email account and even send with the email.
but people get the wrong adress displayed to reply to.
we have a mail server setup with different domain extentions. .net, .com,.org.
so our login is just our domain name I.E : username@domain instead of the standard [email protected]
this was done specifically to show that you login for all those domains. thats internal setup.
so when i setup my mailaccount i specify the username@domain wich is my login.
i get all my emails, i am able to send emails
but it says its comming from Username@Domain.
whereas the account name is [email protected] he keeps insisting the email adress linked to this account is username@domain.
is there a workaround for this situation?
this is my professional email. i cannot reply from my phone cause replies from clients on my reply would never arrive to me.
i tried looking in all the settings but i cannot find anywhere how to specify the email adres that i used.

Database accidently started with lower version binary.

We recently upgraded and patched a version 9206 database to 9208. However, after this was done the database was bounced and accidently started with the 9206 binary and it has been running this way for a couple of weeks. My fix is to shut the database down as 9206, reset the environment to 9208 and restart. Is that all I need to do? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Mike. Just to clarify. The database was a 9208 database at the end of the upgrade. The upgrade to 9208 completed successfully and then I applied the AprCPU2008 patch.
When we upgrade databases we install a brand new binary patched to the level we want to upgrade to. Then we open the database, in migrate mode, using the new binary and run the catpatch and utlrp. So for a short time I have both the 9208 and 9206 binaries available.
What happened is that the server the database was on, in a Veritas cluster, was patched the next day. The Veritas resource setting for startup had not yet been changed to use 9208, so when the database came back up after the server patching Veritas used the 9206 OracleHome and binary to start the database.
So is my fix. "Just shutdown the database using the 9206 binary change the database environment to use the 9208 binary and restart and be done with it." valid. So I really have a 9208 database that was started with a 9206 OracleHome. Hopefully that makes sense.

My Firefox doesn't recognize it being upgraded. It still thinks that its version is 3.5 even though I've been updating and upgrading it regularly, and now have v9.0.1. installed. Why does this happen?

I've tried everything possible to sort this out myself. Nothing helps. Installing, reinstalling, upgrading... (even disabling all the add-ons) ...my Firefox still believes that it hasn't been updated since v 3.5.5 (even though in About Firefox the version states to be 9.0.1).
