Clinet Configuration

Dear All experts,
Database (10G with grid) created working fine. SQL commends are running and TNS also working. HP Server (Microsoft 2000 server- Operating server)
I have to connect forms and Report (10G) for the users very few users approx 8 users are going to use Oracle Database. At present all users are working domain environment.
How to connect the Database + Forms + reports (10G) for the Client (Without application server).
We don’t have Oracle Server or Application Server.
Please help me to connect every one access the forms and report.

Forms and Reports 6i are the last that work as client-server, meaning without having Application Server.
Since 9i, Forms and Reports Developer do have some facilities that mimic an application server on the developer's machine, but does not allow several connections, like Application server does.
So, there's no way to "connect everyone" to one machine in order to run some forms and reports application. The only way would be to have all the forms and all the reports installed on each machine and run from there...

Error While open the application in a Cluster on HFM Client

Hi,
I have added Cluster in Clinet configuration in HFm, after adding the cluster successfully i have logged into finacial management client then i have selected the Cluster and it opens pop up windows which we need to Select the temp folder for that application
my problem starts here after givingthe folder it thorws me an error( some times we were able to select the application and assigned the folder with out any issues, but some times we could not)
we tried with different credentials but no luck.

Configuring use of clinet certificates for jax web services configuring u

Hello dear people,
I have a very simple jax web service under glassfish v.2.1 and I want to secure it using mutual authentication. I could configure using server certificates but I have problems with configuring the server to ask client certificates. The problem is that the clients are not asked to provide a valid client certificate to use the service. The clients can easily use the service without having a certificate.
Can anyone tell me what should I do to have this?
I got the example code from http://java.net/projects/javaeetutorial/downloads and the sample code that I used is in the folder : javaeetutorial5/examples/jaxws/helloservice-clientcert

I´m posting some comments that maybe can help newer administrators facing similar doubts.
I´m using NW PI 7.1 EHP1 also and some interfaces were developed for using an external site providing web services through SSL (HTTPS) connection.
As in browser navigation, secure sites protected with SSL has a certificate emited by a international CA. We didn´t perceive the "handshake" in the most of cases because normally the web browser has a group of trusted CAs loaded on its certificate store.
With SAP PI and its WAS Java a similar procedure occurs with a small difference. The WAS Java didn´t have the trusted CAs loaded on KeyStorage. So, when the adapter tries to establishing a connection with an HTTPS site (it is a background process) a "handshake" is required to accepting the certificate and produces a error.
We completes the handshake importing the entire certificate chain (you can upload the site´s certificate to your browser and export it as file) on Keytore under the Trusted CAs view.
Hope this can help someone. It´s an "easy" part of SSL communication.
Now I´m trying to configure the inverse: Some third party consuming the PI web services using SSL. I have an additional component on inbound/ incoming connections that is the SAP Web Dispatcher.
The Help.sap.com is the reference but as always its a little difficult to find the (sequential) path following the links (go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go back, go back, go ahead)...

Need help to Configure Cisco ACE 4710 Cluster Deployment

Dear Experts,
I'm newbie for Cisco ACE 4710, and still I'm in learning stage. Meanwhile I got chance at my work place to deploy a Cisco ACE 4710 cluster which should load balance the traffic between two Application Servers based on HTTP and HTTPS traffic. So I was looking for good deployment guide in Cisco SBA knowledge base then finall found this guide.

This guide totally fine with my required deployment model. I have same deployment environment as this guide contains with ACE cluster that connects to two Cisco 3750X (Stack) switches. But I have some confusion places in this guide
This guide follow the "One-armed mode" as a deployment method. But when I go through it further I have noticed that they have configured server VLAN as a 10.4.49.0/24 (all servers reside in it) and Client side VIP also in same VLAN which is 10.4.49.100/24 (even NAT pool also).
My confusion is, as I have learned about Cisco ACE 4710 one-armed mode deployment method, it should has two VLAN segments, one for Client side which client request come and hit the VIP and then second one for Server side. which means besically two VLANs. So please be kind enough to go through above document then tell me where is wrong, what shoud I need to do for the best. Please this is an urgent, so need your help quickly.

Since my client needs to access URL ebiz.xxxx.lk which should be resolved by IP 172.25.45.21 (virtual IP) via http (80) before they deploy the app on the two servers I just ran web service on both servers (Linux) and was trying to access http://172.25.45.21 it was working fine and gave me index.html page. Now after my client has deployed the application then when he tries to access the page http://172.25.45.21 he cannot see his main login page. But still my testing web servers are there on both servers when I type http://172.25.45.21 it will get index.html page, but not my client web login page. What can I do for this ?

Error while configuring Vintella SSO

Hi,
I'm trying to implement SSO with Vintela in BO XI3.1 SP3
AD Authentication is working corectly.
I'm getting the following error after configuring Vintela, the error shows when trying to login:
"HTTP Status 500 - com.wedgetail.idm.sso.ProtocolException: com.wedgetail.idm.spnego.server.SpnegoException: GSSException: Failure unspecified at GSS-API level (Mechanism level: com.dstc.security.kerberos.KerberosException: Successfully matched service principal "HTTP/SERVER" but not key type (23) + KVNO (143) in this entry: Principal: HTTP/SERVER Type: 1 TimeStamp: Wed Dec 31 18:00:00 CST 1969 KVNO: -1 Key: 3, ad c1 7f df e3 61 9e 9e )"
I have also tried to use :
-Dcom.wedgetail.idm.sso.password=Password in the Java configuration, (commenting the keytab entry on Web.xml) but when I comment the idm.keytab in the web.xml, I can't even reach the Infoview login page, It shows a 404 error

I have changed the Client in Java from 000 to 001. I have added the certificate to ACL in 001 in my ABAP system. After doing that, I am getting the following error message.

The Production client in ABAP is 100 and not 001. when I have changed the Clinet 100 in Java, then also I am getting the error message mentioned in my main question.

Remote Access Management Console - configuration issue with Network Location Server

2012 Std R2
The remote Access management console operation status shows all green except for network location server .
Error: There is no response from the network location server URL. DirectAccess connectivity might not work as expected, and DirectAccess clients located inside the corporate network might not be able to reach internal resources.
Resolution listed as:
1. Configure the network location server on a server that is highly available to clients on the internal network.
2. If the network location server is running on the Remote Access server, ensure that IIS is running, and that the URL is available.
The remote access server is located on this server. IIS is running. What URL: show I be looking at?
Any other thoughts so I can get remote access working.
l also am getting a remote access error for IPV6, could this be a cause:
RoutingDomainID- {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}: Unable to add the interface {D37062B2-A3E0-4496-A459-9E0BBCE5423C} with the Router Manager for the IPV6 protocol. The following error occurred: Cannot complete this function.

Hi John,
please follow the steps to reinstall TCP/IP stack.
1.Restart your PC into Safe Mode with Networking.
2.
Edit your registry. Delete the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock2
3.
Open the nettcpip.inf file in your %winroot%/inf folder
(%winroot% is usually c:/windows).
Find the [MS_TCPIP.PrimaryInstall] section. Change the Characteristics value from 0xA0 to 0x80.
Open the properties of the network connection you want to fix. In the General tab, click on the Install button. Click on the Have Disk button, and point the location to %winroot%/inf. After that select TCP/IP (not version 6).

Now you would notice that you can uninstall TCP/IP!
Do that, then restart the PC.
Go back to your network connection, and install TCP/IP again as per the above. After another reboot, you should be up and running.
I also noted that the XP network repair tool may yank out the ISA 2004 firewall client stuff. Just run the firewall clinet repair or install it again to fix that problem after you did your reboot. Before you do this kind of crazy stuff.

This along with a TCP/IP reset using the netsh command:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

VAT Configuration for India with out CIN

Hi Experts,
Greetings. My clinet is into service industry,basically our products include online data sets, software. When the Project was implemented as per the discussions with the tax experts the system is configured with out CIN. All these Proudcts are liable only for Service Tax.So a new "ZSER" tax condition type is created and included in the pricing procedures.
Now Business decided to sell few more products in India through India Legal Entity. Few tax experts say that some of these Products may fall Under VAT.
As I am completely New to India Tax scenarios could some one help me on what questions I can ask the business regardng VAT and When we say VAT does it also mean that a separate document need to be created like Excise invoice or some thing before we actually create an Invoice and wil there be any additonal reporting requirements from VAT perspective?
I have gone through the VAT doucmnetation available in the Net but couldnt undestand completely as i am not much familar with CIN.
Request your help in this Regard.

Thanks a lot for your reply. The condtion types JIVP and JIVC are not available in our system.How ever we will create two new tax conditon types by copying the most nearst condtion type and add them into the SD pricing Procedure and FI tax Procedure.
Do we need to configure these two condtion types as tax determinition rules in Path: Spro-> IMG> S&D->Basic functions->Taxes>define tax determinatin rules : Here for these two condtion types we need to define the possible classfications for the cusotmer as well as material and subsequently Cleanse the cusotmer master data and material master data to update the classification for these two tax categories?
Is there any other option like using one tax category like MWST/UTXJ and make the two condition types to work. I am habituated to u.s and canada tax procedures where we can have multiple tax conditon types using one tax category.Please excuse if my question is basic.

Configuration planning Strategy task bwtn PP/SD Consultant

As we known, planning strategy is incdluing two elements( requirements type for PIR; Requirement type for customer requirement) path:SPRO>Production>Production Planning>Demand Management>Planned Independent Requirements>Planning Strategy>Define Strategy)
In you experienced project, if PP consultant was in charge of config "Reqmts type for indep.reqmts" and SD Consultant shoud be in charge of Config"Reqmt type of customer reqmt "?
or PP Consultant should be responsibled for two parts configuration? including(Reqmts type for indep.reqmts/Reqmt type of customer reqmt).
Please advice.

Dear ,
PP consultant is the in charge of Planning Strategy -Define Planning Strategy (SPRO) based on the Requirement Type(OVZH) and Requirement Class(OVZG) for for sales Item categoery under basic function of SD module .
Now , most of the parametrs which have activated or relevent from sales side (Req.Transfer ,Account Assingment Categoery , Customer requirement type , Order Type etc) are configured in OVZG by SD consutnat and same has been assinged to requirement type in ovzg .
Once you did this , PP consultant will decide on the Planning Strategy group in SPRO-MRP-PIR and check wether respective parametrs are flowed in that strategy .
So i would rather say , its a combine effort based on the clinet requirement .

Hi,
Configuring the ALE/Idoc scenerio for the same client is very much possible, because you would defining the same client/port but might used different message type. But so you think this will help you rather than that if the clinet is same rather than configuring the ALE/IDOC setting why not write a piece of ABAP code finding the proper USER EXIT/INCLUDE .i.e. when a PO is created with company code ABC then that USEREXIT will trigger which will send those data to another company code. The user exit can easily be identified by the functional guys.
Mostly the ALE/Idocs scenerios are used when we have multiple clients or multiple system.

You can create PA & PSA thru
spro : Enterprise structure - Definition - HRM - PA & PSA
spro : Enterprise structure - Assignemnt - HRM - PA to CC.
There is no direct relationship between a plant and PA&PSA info.
You can either create PAs inline with your plants or not.
It depends on your firms's enterprise structure.
There is no assignemnt between PA & PSA and employee groups.
You need to only assign newly created PA to company code.

I am configuring DSD in one of the client. What i know is that we need to have two logical system one is DSD backend and second would be DSD connector.
Step 1: I have created two logical system DSD backend and DSD connector.
Step 2: Now i need to assign client to this logical system.
DSD backend and DSD connector reside on the same client say i am in client 100.
I have created two logical system DSD backend and DSD connector.
Now while assingning client to logical system i am confused. DO i created new clinet 110 and 120 or
i need to assing only DSD backend in assing logical system to client havign the client value as 100.

ACE Configuration

Hi,
I need some configuration to provide site stickiness with the Help of ACE running in two different sites.
DNS functionality is handovered to the GSS
For example
Once a DNS A record is given back to the user for www.company.com and the request is made to the ACE, the ACE will send a http redirect back to the user for a new domain name of www1.company.com or www2.company.com for the respective
sites, the user was initial sent to via the DNS response. This insures that the user will alwaysreturn to the same site.

RULE3 - WWW2.MYCOMPANY.COM - 1.1.1.2(SITE2)
clinet to the GSS ---> www.mycompany.com hits the Site A (1.1.1.1) the ACE shall redirect the client request to WWW1.MYCOMPANY.COM and further request from the client should stick to the same site till it completes the session i.e www1.mycompany.com.

I m Anubhav ,i have been asigned a responsibility to configure a cisco TACACS+ server for authentication and applying user level privileges ,we have two ACS servers ,one will act as Primary and the other will act as Backup.
Actually i have no clue how to do this ,I am a CCNA ,but even after going through many PDFs ,i mnot able to get how to begin the process.Could anyone help me out with some configuration exapmles as we are not using PIX etc. and all clients will interact directly with ACS.
We have more than 800 clients , do we need to configure users for each client.

Hi Anu,
User can be configured locally in ACS or in external database like AD/LDAP/RSA. You need to add all aaa-clinets (router/ASA/switch) to ACS network configuration. And on each device you need to enable aaa.
     IOS(config)# username [username] password [password]
        tacacs-server host [ip]
        tacacs-server key [key]
        aaa new-model
        aaa authentication login default group tacacs+ local
Since you are new to ACS I will suggest not to enable authorization as that can lock you out of device (Open a TAC case if this is urgent).
