Clip Book

Every time i open a webpage, a HP Smart Web Printing Clip Book window opens up as a left column. How can I get rid of this? It is so annoying.

Got this off another forum:
"There's an updated version of HP Smart Web Printing and it supports IE8. (Previous version didn't support IE8) In addition to supporting IE8, HP Smart Web Printing also supports the Firefox browser. Please go to: www.hp.com/go/swp and download the latest version today."
I had version 4.5, uninstalled it, got the new 4.6. Once installed, right click on home button to customize command buttons. The HP Turn clipbook On and Off icon was there, I added it next to my home button. Now I can toggle it off and on.

How to delete clip book

I have downloaded the latest yahoo and it simply does not work for me. How do I get back to the original:

Stay with the Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization/Application/Edit
Delete
With Shortcut Shift + Delete key
and
Delete and Close Gap
With Shortcut Backspace
In your screenshot, Delete and Close Gap is ready to go with Backspace entered. No need to do anything there with its Backspace entry.
For Delete, click on the Delete Panel so that the whole panel is blue. Then click again on the panel so that the left half is blue but the right half is gray.
Then hold down the Shift key and hit Delete key of the computer keyboard. Shift+Delete will be entered for the Delete shortcut.
Hit Save As and follow instructions to finalize the shortcut creation.
Then use the shortcuts in the workspace.
Does that work for you? I just road tested this in 12, and it worked for me.

Why do I get 'Unable to display Clip Book'?

Mmm... i imagine it's a combination of the 5.1 disc, and intel machine...
here's a little thing to have a look at... try it on both machines and cross reference what you find...
Go to your applications folder and control-click (right-click) on the FCP application logo...
from the list that opens, click on Show Package Contents
from here go... Contents > Resources > zh_CN.lproj > FXScripts > Filters/Generators
... and see if you can locate the effects/filters on the Intel machine... and see if you can copy them over to the PowerPC...
I'm not sure. Going by what that post says, these effects/filters are not scripts so you might not find them...
The post implies that the Intel machine is using more hardware grunt ( which the PowerPC does not have?) to utilize these effects...
DISCLAIMER... I have NEVER copied any effects/scripts from this folder from within the FCP application, so please do so at your own risk...... but they're only files, so hey, what can go wrong!?!?!
I have deleted files from within the FCP app, and i'm still running...
Perhaps one of the FCP masters might want to chip in here and give it the all clear... mind you, worth having a look and seeing what you can find in the meantime...

How can I delete the Click Book menu

I have an irratating Click Book menu that I cannot delete and don't wish to use. How can it be deleted? I have Windows 7 installed.

How can you delete my clip book off the screen, as its taken a fair proportion of it.

C4700 installed ;Get rid of black box on screen??

Installed printer, it works fine. Can't get rid of black box panel on left side of computer screen;says clip book on top. So can't see left half of websites or email. Also dragging box over to print doesn't go out of panel.

I believe this is the HP Smart Web Print software that was installed after installing the full feature driver of the printer. You can uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs of the Control Panel if you are using Windows XP, or it is in Uninstall A Program of Programs and FEatures of Windows Vista or Windows 7.

LocalConnection to run a function in another .swf not working....

I'm trying to establish a LocalConnection so that I can communicate between my navbar & the main page on my website. Here is the code I have so far for the sending and receiving AS3 files, please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary. The idea is that when you click on one of the icons on the navbar my "book" slides down to the center of the screen on the correct page. I actually have 4 buttons but only included the code I'm using for two in order to make this post shorter. The same idea is used for all four buttons though.

The reason I'm keeping track of whether the book is in the "up" or "down" is so that if it's in the down position already it doesn't re-tween back onto the screen. I am new to declaring and using variables; TweenLite; and LocalConnection so there is probably some simple problem with my AS3 code (although no errors are coming up in Flash). Any help would be much appreciated.

Alright I'm going to fix one problem at a time, starting with the LocalConnection. I've checked several websites for tutorials and examples but cannot seem to get it working properly. I'm just trying to run a simple function over it and can't get it working. Once I can get it working, I'll modify the rest of the code to do what I need. Right now I'm just trying to use it to run a function (slideServicesIn) in a seperate swf. file. I've checked and rechecked the code and just can't figure out why it's not working.

Can't select area for pasting

Have reinstalled version 4.6. Although the select area turns to blue despite left clicking on it then going to the web page I cannot select anything and nothing appears in the clip book. I am running windows xp and version 8 of explorer.
Any help before I ditch this programme would be appreciated

For DAQmx, you should be able to setup all of your channel settings for the SCXI-1531 by creating a DAQmx Task. Previously, in Traditional DAQ, this was done by selecting Properties.

Glitches with SWP

using Vista, Win7, IE
I went to copy a picture, then decided against it. problem is, when I do that, I cannot find out how to get my pointer back. how do I drop the + or cancel a select? that happens every time I don't follow through on a clip choice.
then I went to use the delete button. it locked IE up completely. supposedly I should be able to activate a service scanner when that happens, but with IE locked up, it couldn't open a window in IE so opened it in my back-up browser, which is firefox. it doesn't work in firefox, so I couldn't get my computer scanned. but there was a framework update. so I ran that.
before I did the framework update, I got the dropdown on the X in SWP's clip book, but not on the email (probably because everything was already locked up). with the framework update I can no longer get the dropdown list on the X. oh, it's being fickle, works in this window, but not in another, previously opened, window. it worked perfectly finally. we'll see if it continues to act up sporadically or if this is just a one time issue.

Thanks for your reply. This video was recorded by my own professional camera, Sony PMW EX 3, two years back. But I am neither a professional cameraman nor an editor. I am just like a beginner in both. I didnt have space in my storage device, so I just copied all my clips, thinking I can edit it latter, without recompressing or editing or whatever I should have done it at that point of time. Now I need to edit it and use it in my profession. I am very upset. Please help me in going step by step to get it in FCP X for editing. Also I would like to know, do I need to buy the Compressor 4 for any reason. I dont mind in buying, if you think it is going to be useful for some reason. Usual mistake is to press the option key then click, hold and drag. Click and hold the mouse then press and hold the option key. Should work then.

You need to find out what type of video it is. What your describing is what you get when a Video codec (software that allows you to "see" the video) is missing, damaged, or too old for the movie.
Once you identify what kind of movie it is, then you can update the codec.

Create a DVD movie using AVI clips stored on my I Book G4

I need to know how to create a movie to be read by any DVD player. I have my project set up as a I-movie project with I-Movie HD 5.0 but I don't know how to convert it. Using Magic Movie creator, it doesn't work because I have to camcorder connected (??) . I have no DVD burner on the I Book, so I will need to burn the DVD on other equipment and carry the final movie file with a portable hard disk. So I do I create the DVD movie file?

is iDVD installed on your Mac?
it's the 'videoDVD-maker' of iLife..
no need for conversion, you simply drag your iM-project into iDVD.

Capture Clips and Mac Book Drive

My first question is... I need to free up gig space on the Mac so that I can run Pro Tools (not simultaneously with Final Cut Express HD of course). When making movies on Final Cut Express HD, I notice that each time I capture a clip it is not only being saved in my external Seagate drive (as I instruct it) but apparently it is also being backed up in the Mac and there is over 100 gigs of 160 that is hidden somewhere that apparently is just extra space being used. How can I delete that and make sure that the all of the capture clips are on the external hard drive? Thank you. I am sure it is a simple answer. (I am not exactly sure of the operating system I don't have access to all of the paperwork at the moment- I bought the Mac and Final Cut in February 2007).

FCP doesn't ever put clips twice on the computer don't think... something else is causing your buildup of files.
You can see where each clip is stored in FCP though... right click on any column header in the Browser and select "Show Source" as a new column to be added. It will show you where the media is on your system that the clip is referencing... bet it's only on that external...
