Clip sound when i send files to trash macbook pro early 2008

Hi.I need to ask a question.
Nowdays when i send a file to trash,i hear random a clip sound.Not always but often.I suppose, this short clip is coming from the HD.I'm also hearing this sound when i save a screenshot or dublicate a file, but again the issue is random and it is not always appearing. I have already run Disk Utilities,Drive Genious and Tech Tool Pro and i didn't get and problem on it.Any suggestions?

Macbook Pro early 2008 starts but no image or chime sound!

Hey Guys! When i try to turn my macbook pro on, the disk and the fans starts, but theres no startup chime or grey image. Anyone nows whats going on? If it was the video, it would at least play the startup sound or illuminate the keyboard, right? Thanks

Also Apple will do a diagnostic fro free, then tell you what it might mean and cost. They will do a repair at a flat rate, and usually take care of any thing that they find wrong, with a 90 day warranty on the repairs. I just had a MBP that needed, a new HDD, logic board, led backlighting, video card, key board, and they needed to replace the logic board a second time. All was done for a flat rate of 4330.. usd. They MBP was a 2008 out of warranty. Much less than replacing the machine, as it is for my kid. Something else to check into.

No Sound when converting MPEG file to MOV - Quicktime Pro

Hi Everyone,
Just got my first Mac (MacBook Pro) which I love but I'm having a problems importing MPEG 4 files from my Sony digital camera. They play fine through quicktime in the sony format but when I import into quicktime (or imovie for that matter) then export in a .mov file all the sound is lost.
I see some people have reported problems with sound similar to mine but none appear to be the same?
Any ideas??

I am having a similar problem and I see this was never persued any further. I am trying to convert an mpeg file to a mov file using quicktime pro. When I do there is no sound.
Movie info for mov file is: Format is H.264 Decoder, 320 x 240, Millions, FPS is 15, Data Rate is 256.21 kbits/sec.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to quicktime and frustrated from spending hours trying to figure this out! Thanks in advance!

Sound disappear on macbook pro early 2008

Before I install EFI firware update 1.7 the sound is good, but after installing the firmware, my MBP 17" sound don't work anymore.
How resolve this problem?
Do I try to update to mac osx 10.5.8 to solve this problem?

I've been looking all over the discussion boards but haven't been able to figure this one out.
Suddenly for no apparent reason I have no sound output. I've checked all the settings, repaired disk permissions, restarted, etc. with no effect. I DO get the start-up chime but then nothing. Also, I do NOT have a red light emitting from my adio out jack. F3, F4 and F5 show the volume icon changing on-screen but with no actual sound output. Switching to a speakers or earphones doesn't change it either. Any suggestions?

When I move files to trash,the bin is empty. My files never go there. Its always empty???

Go to the Finder - click anywhere on your Mac's desktop, and choose File > New Folder.

When you go to the preferences for Finder, is the last box checked or unchecked? There are settings here to change wether you delete securely or just delete.

Cannot get any sound when playing .avi files

Hi All
I am running QT version 6.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.2.8 and cannot get any sound when playing .avi files but the picture is perfect.
I have installed the following: M-Peg 2 playback component, AVI Components and AC3 component.
Does anyone know if I am missing anything or how I can fix this?

Download and install Perian from http://perian.org/
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

deleted previously imported key chain originated from the previous system (why doesn't apple provide a migration for my key chain?). after the deletion mail can receive and send again and dreamweaver starts without hanging.

I did have one website up listening to something.
Pulled another up.
Paused the first, to quickly hear what the other was going to be about.
So... I was hitting "Pause" and "Play" on one then the other.
...when the audio stopped out.
Almost as if something got "confused" (to be anthropomorphic)

I do not have this problem when listening to TV or watching movies streamed from DishNetwork. I contacted Netflix and they had me install a newer version of their software Silverlight... this did nothing to resolve the issue. They were not familiar with the issue.

Well if your on 10.6.2, you need to software update to 10.6.8
Perhaps you need to adjust the Silverlight (Microsoft DRM video plug-in) sound level itself too
Run a check here to see if your current on your Silverlight (works for all browsers)

Try another video file. They all have their own sound levels too.
