Clipping Mask is NOT working

This is so strange , i can't get the clipping mask feature to work on my pc. I tried it on another one and it worked.
This is before i apply the mask to my rectangle.
After i apply it , the image dissapears and nothing else happens.
I've been trying for 4 hours to fix this and it keeps refusing to work properly.

Without trying to analyze just what you're doing with the clipping mask functionality, an initial response:
If it fails for you on one computer but not another, assuming you're doing exactly the same things to the same file, that says there's a problem with the computer.
Try disabling OpenGL Drawing temporarily in the Edit - Preferences - Performance menu.
If that works around the issue, go to the web site of the maker of your video card and download and install an updated video driver. Assuming your video card is still being supported by the manufacturer, updated video drivers usually solve strange display issues like this.

Simple Mask Effect not working in Flash 8 Pro

I recently updated to Flash 8 pro.I'm having a wiered
problem.First I was having problem applying masking.I applied a
masking effect in a movie clip and when view the movie instead of
showing the effect it shows my masking shape that is a
rectangle.When i move the play head in the movie it shows me the
effect, im trying to achieve but when I hit ctrl+enter to test the
movie, it does not work.Then another thing was I tried to apply a
Fade in effect and even that does not work.Any suggestion would be

Are you sure that you set your Mask layer to a Mask? Double
click the icon int he right of the Layer name and set the Layer
type to a mask.
And regarding the Fade, I guess you may miss some thing, let
me know the steps you have done to create your Fade effect?

Clip name effect not working correctly in 2014/2014.1

I'm referring to these notes from the latest bug fixes here...

"Clip name effect doesn’t work correctly if Source Track is set to a different track."
"The Clip Name effect does not work when applied to a transparent video track item, with Source Track set to a video clip."
I've just updated Premiere (2014.1) to specifically fix these two bugs. The Clip name effect isn't using the correct file names. It uses something close but not quite e.g. clip 100 shows as 100B which is down the timeline.
The effect is applied to a transparent layer (have also tried it in a black video layer) and the clip name drawn from a different video track (video/PNGs in track 1, transparent video and effect is in track 3). This problem only appears when videos are in the timeline. When used with stills (PNGs) it works fine.
Any idea of a fix or workaround that isn't using some kind of titling filter? I'm looking to automate the shot naming process for a pipeline in creating animation animatics and this would be perfect. If to actually worked properly.
Using Premiere on a Mac Book Pro with 10.9.5.

Anyone from Adobe care to offer some insight as it's something that is reportedly fixed?

CS5 64 bit Masking is not working

Wierd problem in 64 bit layer masking dosen't work properly. White reveals the layer below when using brush tool. Black will not paint back in. Isn't white working backwards? I am using Win 7 core I7 processor with 12gig of ram.
CS5 in 32 bit works fine so far.
Any suggestions?

Double check that your brush tool is not set to something other than "Normal" mode painting.
However, white in a layer mask should cause opacity and show what's on the layer itself, black should allow what's below to show through.
Choose Edit - Preferences - Performance, and disable OpenGL Drawing temporarily. If that helps, see if there is a video driver update from the web site of the maker of your particular graphics card.

Mask Layer not working in cropping to stage Flash

I've read through umpteen Flash threads of frustrated users who export SWF and anything visible outside the stage appears in the SWF when opened in a browser. None of the solutions have worked for me. My file is called statement_onlineheader.fla. It can be seen here http://www.mediafire.com/?yrmgnoynihw. Anyone know why this does not work for me?
I have my mask layer above a folder containing all other layers. I have also tried moving the mask layer above individual layers. Same result. Stuff outside the stage appears in the exported SWF.

Very true. So what do you think is wrong with my file? The top layer is marked "Mask" when I control-click it, and it doesn't matter if I put it over an individual layer or not. The top layer is a rectangle the size of the stage, yet this layer (which is checked as a mask) does not mask what is below it.

Masking is not working in Breeze

I am importing a swf into a ppt using the Breeze insert
Flash. Once converted, the masking around the swf/flash file is not
showing up. I have a mask around my animation in order to hide any
items I don't want to show. In presentation mode with Powerpoint it
works. Once published in Breeze, they do not work. Any help would
be appreciated.

My text layer mask is not working when I test it

My text layer mask does not appear when I test the movie. The
mask works move the key along the timeline, but when I test the
movie nothing shows up. I'm doing exactly the same thing I do when
I mask images. I actually imported an image to the text layer and
the mask worked correctly. What am I doing wrong?

provide a link the fla - make sure your text layer is truly
linked to the Mask layer. What is the
font? Did you try breaking apart the font until it becomes
raw shapes? not that you want to do that
but save as with new name - try it and if it still doesnt
work, then the issue is not with your font.

Basic invisible button movie clip frame actions not working, pls. help!

Hi,
I've got a basic little slide show player which is timeline-based, rolling through 5 images with alpha transitions, and on the topmost layer, I have 5 invisible movie clips which have actions applied to them as follows:
on (press) {
gotoAndPlay(21);
This action should allow for the on click button to navigate to that specific frame, or image, but for some reason it is not working.
Did I do something wrong? I feel like I've done this before but I'm rusty with Flash since I don't use it all the time.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The invisible movie clip is something I know I've done over the years on many occasions - I'm not sure I'm understanding your alternate technique, can you explain it better? The way my movie clips are invisible is just by setting the alpha to zero in the properties for the movie clip instance (clicking on the object on stage, then setting it in properties)..
Also, the actions are on the invisible movie clips (buttons) and not the timeline.

Toggle clip keyfram button not working...

I recently upgraded to the latest version of fcp and I'm trying to do a variable speed change.
My toggle clip does not work. When I click on it, nothing happens. the tick marks that show the speed are not showing up. (I have also tried opt T) anyone know if I have a setting wrong???

AS3 drag and drop masked bitmaps - not working

I have a drag and drop project using bitmaps that were masked using fireworks. All bitmaps are PNG (fireworks files) and one object is GIF. All objects were converted into movie clips.
PROBLEM
All movie clips from PNG's can be dragged, but they can't be dropped. However, the GIF movie clip responds to both drag and drop.
ActionScript worked when all movie clips had GIF's.
Is this problem because the objects were masked or for any other reason?
Note: Objects were masked because their border is very fussy and cropping them doesn't help with the quality of their image.

Omage Mask Still Not Working

So I tried shooting a subject on a green screen.
Took the footage into Motion.
Put an Image Mask on the clip telling it to use Green as Source Channel
No matter what I set the mask to it simply doesnt mask at all!
What is going on?

First off: if you shot greenscreen footage, you should probably pull a matte using a keying filter. Motion comes bundled with PrimatteRT, but it's not designed to compensate for lossy DV formats, so if you're footage is DV you might want to try dvGarage's dvMatte Blast filter. It's built specifically for Motion, and it's fast. They have a demo on their website.
The Image Mask will generate an alpha based on a channel from an image: Red, Green, Blue, Luminance or Alpha. Is has no threshold levels (that's what keying filters are for), so the matte you'd get from greenscreen footage would probably be crap, and not very adjustable.

then one or more of your clips are starting outside your limits. and, you probably don't want to use that code because all the clips move the same amount each loop.

Layer Mask Suddenly Not Working

Hello!
I have been using PS 6 for several months now, with no problems; I totally love it! I tend to do a lot of heavily composited photos, so I use layer masks a lot. All of a sudden this afternoon, they aren't working. I am 100% sure I am selecting the mask itself and not the layer (paint colors change to only black and white with the slider). My opacity and flow are both at 100. I am using just a standardsoft-edged paint brush. I paint on back, and nothing changes.
What's weird is if I invert the layer mask and paint white on, that will show up. But if I switch over to black again, it won't make anything disappear.
I'm so perplexed by this; I've never had an issue like this before!

I tried also the eraser, it paints black too.

If you hold the Alt|option key when you click on the Layer Mask icon in the layers palette to target the layer mask Photoshop will display the layer mask in the images window not the composite image. Layer Mask are gray scale channels. All you can see is the mask Black, White and Gray. Could you have Displayed the layer mask by accident. How to get around audio clips' audio changes not working

Here is how I got around the annoying (and recurring) problem of audio clips not being adjustable. First, it's a good idea to add your music track as the very last thing you do. Often, when I am editing a video together, as soon as I drop in a full length music track, I'm no longer able to make changes to my audio clips. So now I drop in the music track as the very last thing I do to my project. If I want to test a music track in the file, then I drop it in, press Command G to preview my project, and when I'm done previewing the project with the music track, I immediately press Command Z to undo the addition of the music track. If, for whatever reason, I'm still having problems with audio clips no longer updating changes I make to them, I have discovered a trick that works: make the changes to the clip's audio, then copy the clip, then delete it, then paste it. The pasted version should now have the updated audio adjustments. Worked for me, anyway.
