Clipping sound in a song i purchased

i'm hearing this odd clipping noise, sort of like a pop kind of, in a song on an album i recently purchased.  it's like a split second after a high hat sound (drums).  itunes support resent me the download but the noise is still there.  i've had a couple people listen to it just to make sure i wasn't going crazy and everyone seems to hear it.  i can't imagine it's in the actual recording (but maybe?), however i haven't had a problem with either downloads.  basically i'm just wondering if there's something i may not be thinking of that could be causing it, if anyone has any advice on that?  i'm hearing it on my computer as well as my phone.
i may be making too much of it, it just seems a little too noticeable for it to be there and is distracting.  any suggestions are appreciated.  thank you.

i can't imagine it's in the actual recording (but maybe?),
Seconyers,
It could be a defect in the original mastering, but is more likely to be an audio artifact that crept in as a consequence of the encoding process.
Your main choices are to live with it or insist on a refund on grounds of being defective.  If you want to experiment for a couple of bucks, you can buy the same song from another online music store that sells in a different format (MP3 or one of the lossless formats).

  • CAN I USE A SONG AS A BACKGROUND SOUND ON MY WEBPAGE FROM PURCHASED ALBUM IN ITUNES ?

Can I use legally a part of the song from purchased album in iTunes , as a background sound on my own website home page ?

No. This would be a breach of copyright and if detected would lay you open to legal action should the copyright owner feel litigious.

  • Songs I purchased on my iPhone not showing up in the cloud for download to my computer.

I purchased songs on my iPhone yesterday, and last night on my Notebook computer I was able to download the songs from the cloud with no problems.  But today, on my Desktop computer, the songs do not even show that they are available in the cloud.  All 3 devices (iPhone, Notebook, and desktop) are authorized to the same account in the cloud and have the latest updates for itunes.  Under my account information, the songs show in my purchase history, they just are not in the cloud.
Other songs I purchase last night on the notebook computer showed in the cloud and I was able to download them to both the iPhone and the Desktop.  But the songs purchased on the iPhone were not available to the Desktop.
Is there a limit to the number of devices a song can be downloaded to if purchased on the iPhone?  or is there a problem with these songs that Apple needs to fix for me?

Sounds like you're using iTunes Match. Is there a cloud icon next to the name of the song?  If yes you need not worry, those songs aren't actually on your device it just means you can download them to it.

  • How do i get the songs i purchased off of my phone back onto it after restoring it?

i had to get a new iphone4, before going to the store i updated and saved all my stuff onto my computer. i came home to restore it, none of my songs were on my phone. i got my songs back onto my phone after i plugged it in again. now, none of the songs i purchased from my phone on the first iphone are there. and if i try to download a song that i already purchased from my phone, it wont let me get it because "i have already downloaded this item." how do i get them back on to my phone?!

If they are not on your computer, how does iTunes say that you still have them?
Do you mean that they show in your purchase history in iTunes?
It sounds like you did not "Transfer purchases" when  you synced your iPhone.  And as such, it's highly unlikely they were ever on your computer.
The iPhone is not a storage device.  It is intended that all purchases be transfered to your computer for backup on a regular basis.  Then as an added measure, create a backup of your iTunes library to an external drive, CD/DVD's, or flash drives in the event something happens to your computer.
It is ultimately up to the user to ensure that their media and files are backed up.

  • A protected AAC song I purchased isn't available to convert to iTunes Plus.

I'm in the process of converting my songs from the protected AAC format to the purchased AAC format.  A song I purchased a while back is in the protected AAC format and doesn't show up in the iTunes Plus section of the store.  I've already looked at the get info on the song, and my account is in the purchased section.  Why isn't this song available?  Is there a way to fix this?

    Several possibilities:
If you have purchased songs from multiple accounts, the Store will give you a separate list of available upgrades for each. But it sounds like you have already verfied that you are looking at the correct account.
There is a recent bug whereby the upgrade list will sometimes show only full albums, not individual songs.  Search in the Store itself to see if the song exists in its new (Plus) version.  If the song exists and is for sale, but is not showing in your upgrade list, then bring it to the attention of iTunes Customer Service.
The other possibility is that the song that you bought back in the day is no longer for sale.  In this case there is no way to get an upgrade.  However, you can use iTunes to burn the song to an audio CD, which some people find to be... handy.

  • I accidentally deleted my music library from my old Mac and now I have a new Mac. Can i restore all my music somehow? Even though not all 10,000 songs were purchased from iTunes Store?

Can i restore all my music somehow? Even though not all 10,000 songs were purchased from iTunes Store?
Im so devastated and desperate to get my music back.
I deleted my User Account from the old Laptop

Unless you subscribe to iTunes Match , Apple does not keep a backup of your iTunes library.  Even then it is not the library as it exists on your computer, but some version of the media, and only media files, not playlists.  Even then not all media are definitely available since anything removed from the iTunes Store since you purchased it is not available for re-download.

In your case it sounds like you will have to obtain non iTunes purchases from their original source or a backup you may have made at some time in the past.

  • TS1567 I have an old ipod nano. How do I download the songs I purchased from itunes onto my older ipod?

How do I download the songs I purchased from itunes onto my older ipod nano...I believe it is a 2nd generation? I plug it into my computer, but nothing happens!!!

    Hello shay82578,
It sounds like you are trying to sync music from iTunes to your iPod nano.  I found some articles with steps to sync music to your iPod:
If you are using iTunes 11, you will want to follow the steps in this article:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12313
If you are using an earlier version of iTunes, you can follow the steps in this article:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351
To be able to sync music from iTunes to your iPod nano, the music will need to be on the computer rather than streaming from iTunes in the Cloud.  You can find the steps to download your purchased music to your computer's hard drive under the section titled, "Apps, Books, Music, Movies, or TV shows on a computer" in the following article:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Help...Apple is taking away songs I purchased.

So, we have two IPODs and two computers in this house. My daughter and I used the same Apple Login and mail account to PURCHASE songs. Well after the latest IPOD/ITUNES software upgrade (itunes v7.0) when I sync-d up my ipod it removed a ton of songs I purchased on my computer and told me I was not authorized to play these. Hmm...sounds like a ploy to make me buy the same songs over again.
PLease help...can someone direct me to an Apple Rep to complain to.
    thanks

    Hey kbert73
I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

Ok. So my iTunes started acting up a few months ago. ALL of the songs I purchased from the iTunes store stop in the middle of the song and then go back to the begining (I keep it on repeat one song by the way). Please help!!! (Windows 7) I would really like to hear my songs all the way through, but I can't . I tried the "Convert Protected ACC files to Purchased ACC files fix" but it DIDN'T work. I don't know what to do. It does it when I transfer the music onto my Classic too.

What do you mean "doesn't recognize"?

  • I did not sync my device to itunes before it got ruined.  How do I retrieve unsynced songs I purchased to add to my new iPhone4

I had over 80 songs I purchased through iTunes using my iTouch.  My iTouch got ruined and now I have an iPhone4.  I did not sync 50 of those songs to my iTouch.  When I visit iTunes, only 32 songs are showing up.  When I try to repurchase the lost songs, they say I have already purchased the songs.  How can I get iTunes to retrieve these songs for me so I can redownload them again.  And can I do this without purchasing the songs over again?

Thank you for your advice.  I did contact Apple and they referred me to this website only.   I'm so mad at myself.  And totally discouraged.  Yes, I will be syncing regularly from now on.
