Clips Appear From "Nowhere" After Save

Holy bleedin' crap, I'm about to throw my system down the stairs -- this is driving me NUTS! Here's the deal:
I have hours and hours of raw footage in iMovie. I've gone through each clip and edited-out portions I don't want. I drag my clips tot he timeline to start building the main movie, and after a while, I save.
Then it happens: clips suddenly appear in the Clip Pane -- clips that are old, etc.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!? Is it because I tried to edit clips while they were in the Pane rather than after they were in the Timeline? It's totally screwing up my movie, because I think I'm almost done with a section so I save, and then clips appear from footage that should have been included in an already timeline-added part of the movie.

Is the project saved on an external drive? If so, and if the drive does not use the Mac OS Extended disk format, iMovie can't reliably save to the drive. So when you try to save, nothing works as it should.

1. If by flurry of emails you mean they all appear opened as if clicked on.
2. Or do you mean your inbox fills up with a whole lot of 'new' unread emails downloaded from the server, so that if you delete them they return next time you open Mail.
If it is 1. Press (three keys) Option + Command + W
This will close all mail windows including the inbox.
Then press (two keys) Command + 1
to return the inbox.
That should stop any flurry next time you open Mail
If 2., Open Mail Preferences > Accounts (select the account in question if there is more than one), click on Advanced, and where it says remove copy from server after retrieving message, select that choice and click Remove now.

a couple of days ago, I started working on my new web site,
where the banner and the menu should be in flash. Now there's a
little problem: I am a real noob in Flash! And I need your help! So

from nowhere (I know, it sounds stupid, but that's what I was told

All right, I've figured that one out...
I'm really sorry for being annoying, but I've got one more
noob-question: I've created a text animation for my menu, so when I
add an invisible button, the animation stops working. When I write

When installing apps you get from places like CNET & Softronics they wrap the installer with their adware. You have to manually uncheck NOT to install. I've seen the Genieo as "Install Genieo with a checkbox" in a very small font. See example here:

Clip masked image moves after save- little help please?

Hi, All. I've been working at a printing company for the last 3 years and have seen the issue I'm about to describe only a handful of times. I'd like to understand it more and know if there is a fix that can be utilized before saving the file for production.
So, here's my dilemma.... I've saved Illustrator EPS files that have multiple images that are placed and embedded into the document. All of the images are "cropped" using clipping masks. They have been every common type of image extension (jpg, tif, eps). The issue that I'm seeing is that one or two of the images "jump" from their original placement but we've only caught it during the rip or even after it has been printed (which makes for wasted material). The jump isn't by centimeters either. They always end up off the artboard entirely so the clipping mask shape is the only thing left in place.
So, what's the deal? I've seen this happen in CS3 and CS4. Does anyone have a solution or an inkling of any possible reasoning behind this? I'd appreciate any and all feedback!

The majority of the files we receive are from outside sources. We have in-house preflighting as a courtesy to our clients before we print since our displays range from the very small to the very large. I haven't seen it happen with PSD files but we're too big to convert all the images we receive to PSD files. Who knows if that would even be a fix.

Plain text files appeared from nowhere in my finder window

I have a whole bunch of plain text files that have appeared in my finder window when searching in my user profile at the stage where I can view documents, desktop, music etc [sorry not sure what this is called and wanted to make obvious what I'm talking about].
Can anyone help. I have no idea what these files are, but they look empty.
Have I hit a view hidden files button somewhere that I can't find again? Can I just delete them all?

Hi nick,
You have navigated to your home folder. (/Drive/Users/shortname/)
Some programs will automatically save files there. You can delete them if you want but that may destroy settings in the app that put them there. How long was it since you last viewed the visible files in your home directory? Have you installed any new programs since then? What are the names of the files and can you infer from them where they came from? You can always try moving the files to another folder (without deleting them) and then see if you are suddenly missing any settings in a new app or if they are replaced. Might help you figure out who is putting them there.

edit: There is no view hidden files button unless you installed a program which specifically makes them viewable, or were playing around in terminal I suppose.

Styles appeared from nowhere

In the interests of reducing distraction, and possibly speeding up Pages, I had eliminated all but the five paragraph styles I was using. But then this morning a whole load of strange ones appeared e.g. 'cc list' 'Heading' 'header and footer'. It's as if Pages has pulled them in form some other template. But how & why?
Any insights?

I cannot identify a specific culprit or template and I am basing my answer on my experience with other word processing programs:
Every WP program I have ever used has a 'default template'. It is the place where your customization is often stored. The programs also come with 'default styles' which cannot be deleted. They are part of the program. Some will prevent you from deleting them, some will let it look like you've deleted them, but will replace them as soon as the program restarts.
I suspect that's what's happened here. If that is the case and they can't be deleted, that's not the way to speed up Pages since they never go away.

Void(0);.inetloc file appearing from nowhere

The file void(0);.inetloc just appeared on my desktop, and I have no idea what it is. I tried searching finder and nothing came up, even though the file is clearly there on my desktop. I can open it using the app "textwrangler", but nothing else on my computer( I havent tried terminal because Im not familliar with how to use it properly). When i opened it, I found this code:

A misconfigured web page caused the file to be downloaded. You can delete it.

Green box with registration marks appears from nowhere

...and I'd like to get rid of it, but how and what is it?
In any AICS3 document I open, my default is now an art board that is 200"x200" with a green rectangle about 60"x12" in its center. The green rectangle has registration marks on its corners. Even if I change the size of my art board to something smaller, the green rectangle remains. I've gone through all the preferences and everything in the View menu, but it is not affected by anything. It does not seem to be a template. Can anyone help me: 1. get rid of this annoying (but apparently benign) rectangle and 2. tell me what it is. It does not seem to do anything. Needless to say, it cannot be selected and is not referred to in any of the palettes. Thanks in advance for any help.

Try Object > Unlock All and Object > Crop Area > Release. Also look for a locked layer in the Layers panel.

I'm performing a normal "Save", not "Save As". Work flow I'm using is as follows: Select photo in Lightroom 5.7 >" Edit In" Photoshop CC 2014 > (after working on photo is PS) > Save > close PS. Photo returns to Lightroom 5.7 in a new folder rather than next to the original. Prior to purchasing the monthly plan and upgrading to PS CC 2014, I performed this same work flow using Lightroom 5.6 and Photoshop CS6 without any issues.
Just for fun... I attempted to move the edited file back into the original folder. I received a prompt that said the file already existed in the original folder, however I can't see it except the new folder that LR created. I tried several different sort orders, etc without any success.
*** Follow up: Was unable to resolve the issue using Photoshop CC 2014. Uninstalled PS CC 2014 and went back to using Photoshop CS6. Return trips from LR 5.7 to Photoshop is now performing as it should: returning edited photo back to the original folder in LR 5 and placing next to the original image.
Should anyone have a suggestion on getting Photoshop CC 2014 to do the same, I would love to be educated.

After restart error message appears:

The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880

Unable to save PDF file to local drive from sap after Above reader XI update.(Not as sap issue ,this is related to Adobe)

Users are unable to download/save file from sap after a adobe XI update.(no pop comes to save/open)
Surprisingly,i am able to do so on my system without any adobe plug ins disabled or any registry editing.
This is a strange behaviour and need to be resolved Asap....
I contacted sap..this is not sap issue..this is a pure adobe reader bug.
Please need help on this experts

In IE, goto menu Options -> "Manage
Addons", select in box "Show:" "Run without
permission", then you see the Adobe PDF plugin
Ichanged status to "Disabled
Also, if i change the registry key settings for users as
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.11
Value: EditFlags
Changed: 0x00000100
to 0x00000000
(Remove the "Open always with this
program" option)
ITS WORKING.....
But,in my system i need not to do all this settings and surprisingly it is working only for me,rest all users are facing this issue.....
If any one using Lync ,communicator ..do let me know..i wil show the actual scnerio.
