Clock app adds a minute to the timer all by itself

I would never believe it if I had not seen it. My boss told me that while using the timer on the clock app that it added a minute to the time as it was counting down all by itself. It seems to happen about 1 out of 6 times we tried it. We set the timer to 2 minutes and pressed start. It counted down to 1:53 then showed 2:52 and continued to count down to 0:00.
Then I tried my phone and sure enough after a few tries mine did the same thing. I think mine was at 1:17 when it then jumped to 2:16 and continued to count down.
His iPhone is a 3Gs 16Gb Black and mine is a 3Gs 32Gb Black. Both are running 3.1.
If anyone has seen this before please let me know. Thanks!

Clock app: How can I shorten the time that the alarm goes off?

I use the alarms in the basic clock app. They always work. The problem is when the ipod is not in my immediate possession. I have an alarm set to go off at noon. Today it chimed until I could get to it at 12:11. Isn't there a way to tell it to ring for 15 seconds, 1 minute, etc? It just goes and goes until I get to it.
All other third party apps look like you need to remember to leave their app running. If I would remember that, I probably would not need the alarm, unless I used it exclusively for waking up.

Sorry it is not possible to adjust the alarm ring time.

The specs of this iMac are:
iMac 27 inch, late 2009 model with a 3.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 Gig 1067 Mhz DDR3, using OSX Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
I have Mackeeper installed and according to the scans I have run, everything is fine. No virus, no junk files . . . no problems at all . . .
Except that for all practical purposes, my computer isn't working.
I am nearly totally deaf and live in an isolated, rural area of NW Missouri and this computer is what I mainly rely on to contact friends, relatives and business associtates!

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive may be failing.
If you have more than ten or so files or folders on your Desktop, move them, temporarily at least, somewhere else in your home folder.
If iCloud is enabled, disable it.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable. Launch the usual set of applications you use when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the page that opens.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Step 2
You must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way as above. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Post the 50 or so most recent messages in the log — the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out before posting.

How to add customized column in the time sheet CATS (transaction CAT2) ?

I need to be able to add some columns in the time sheet CAT2 containing:
- the name and first name of the person (in addition of the number), in display mode in the CATS time sheet.
- a text that I will found by reading some tables and values...
Does anyone have any idea how to do so ? and if it's possible or not?

Thanks a lot, it's really help...don't know why I didn't see this customized point before in SPRO.
But I have an other issue, my new fields is added in the CATS screen and now I'm trying to put default value by using the user exit of extension CATS0009.
When I complete the value of my new fields in structure CATSD_IMP, there are not taking into account and the CATS screen doesn't display the value.
Am I using the wrong table ? wrong user-exit ? or my code ..

Here's a novel thought. Take it back to the vendor. Should have done that one week ago.

Add 5 minutes to a time?

Let's say I have a time like 9:45am in one cell and I want to take that time and add a period of time like 5 minutes from another cell to it so that in the resulting cell I get a later time like 9:50 am.
is that even possible? I'm trying to make a school schedule and it'd just be cool to be able take the end time of one class and add 5 minutes to it and have that be the start time of the next class.
For now I'll just do it manually.

Assuming that you time value is in B2,
you may enter, in C2, the formula:
=B+(5/(24*60))
Remember that there is no time item in Numbers but dateTime ones.
I the cell B2 was filled on 2009/06/20
when the displayed time is 9:20, the true cell contents is 2009/06/20 09:20
So, if we add 5 minutes, the result will be: 2009/06/20 09:25
For some uses it may be annoying but for others it is useful.
If the initial value is
23:57 entered today (the cell really contain 2009/06/24 23:57)
adding 5 minutes
we would ge: 2009/06/25 00:02
As you may check, the day would be incremented.

Is there a way using which we can add multiple tax codes to a Products. Also is it possible that we apply this tax code to products at the time of Product import instead on manually updating this to each product.

Having problem after I add a file to the time capsel

i'm currently using my time capsel as a externa; hardrive only. I just updaded to snow lepard also. Here is the problem that i'm having, when i add a file initialy to the time capsule it does not let me open is to view it. The only things that i add are avi files, i have to play around with the file doing stuf like open with or resrting my computer and go back into the time capsule and them i can view the file. the error that i get is something like "item is being used the mac OS X and it can't be opened. Any help on this would be great.

The Acrobat XI Family uploads to files.acrobat.com which is totally separate from the Creative Cloud storage area. Even though you can use the same AdobeID to access each service, files are not shared between them.

I need a filter/layer app to dim my screen beyond the standard settings on my iPad 3, similar to the many apps in the Android app store that can dim the screen all the way to pitch black.

I would gladly pay for such an app but it does not exist as far as I can see. This renders my iPad useless to me in anything else but daylight since my eyes are very sensitive at the moment. Any suggestions on what to do? I've been thinking of putting something physical in front of the screen like a flash filter but haven't tried this out yet.

Even though you can't reduce the illumination of the lights in the iPad further without a jailbreak, you can use this system setting to increase the amount of light that gets blocked in many cases by triple clicking the home button.
Another possibility. You gould get two polaroid plastic sheets and overlay them. When you rotate the sheets, you can vary the transmission all the way to dark. This works just like camera polarizing filters.
Send feedback to Apple. Since it can be done via jailbreak, Apple should be able to provide more adjustment.

I have just copied the code from that article. But when I run my app it give me error :

Problem solved.
It turns out there should be NO leading '/' in the relative URL despite the example shown in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn292553.aspx#Folders with "/Shared Folder".
The correct GetFolderByServerRelativeUrl-parameter in my case is 'Lists/Productdocuments'.
Unsure whether example is wrong or if it applies to other cases than mine.

Update the entry_date by getting the system data + 17 minutes.

Adding "5 Minutes" to a Time in Numbers

In Excell I could enter a time in the first cell in a column, then in the rows below have a simple formula like A1+5, which would add five minutes to the time in each row. I could easily change the schedule by changing the start time or changing the number of minutes added in each subsequent row. How do I do this Numbers?

I think it's easier in Numbers than in Excel. In Excel I got this formula to work:
=A2+1/24/12
Had to do the math for what fraction of a day 5 minutes is.
But using your approach in Numbers:
Where a one-row parameters table can be used as the equivalent of a named range "constant" one might use in Excel.

The Time/Clock Is One Or Two Minutes Slow

I've synced and reset the the iPod to factory settings via iTunes. No matter what I've tried, the clock doesn't seem to keep the time as accurately as the computer. What's the deal?

Same here. I always have to manually adjust the clock. And as far as I've noticed, the ipod touch NEVER syncs with the PC clock. It's ridiculous that we have to manually adjust the time. You can't sync it with Wifi (like some other devices can), you can't sync it with the USB cable, and Apple doesn't even let apps mess with the clock (otherwise an "atomic clock" app would be handy).
Note that the ipod touch only lets you manually adjust hour and minute. So what to do if the clock is less than a minute faster or slower? Well my friend, I just found a way to adjust only the second. I found out that THE CLOCK PAUSES AT THE "SET DATE/TIME" SCREEN. So if you are 30 seconds fast and want to only adjust the second, just go to Settings -> General -> Date/Time -> Set Date/Time, and STAY ON THE SCREEN for 30 seconds or whatever amount that you want the real time to catch up to your clock. Then the next step is important, ADJUST THE MINUTE EVEN IF YOU DON'T NEED TO. E.g. change the minute to something else and change it back to the original. Because if nothing is changed, THE SECOND WON'T BE ADJUSTED. And if your clock is slower, use this same workaround, except you may have to adjust the minute afterwards, which is a simple thing.
Of course, we still want automatic syncing of the clock, so Apple please get on with it.

GregorianCalendar to read the time of day & then drawing hands on clock

I am currently working on a program that displays an analog clock. The program uses an object of type GregorianCalendar to read the hours, mins, and secs, and then I need to draw hands on a clock accordingly. I can read the time using GregorianCalendar, but once i have the time, I am unsure how to draw the hands that coordinate with the time. i already have the clock face drawn, and I am implementing the Icon interface's paintIcon(....) method for that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The angle for the hands' apperture should give you something between 0 and 360 degrees (non-inclusive), depending on the value, you should determine wether the hand will sit on one of quadrants 1 through 4...
Substract whatever amount of degrees to reduce the angle to anything from 0 to 90 (non-inclusive), otherwise those calculations I suggested won't work!! We need an angle that fits with a right triangle here...
From there, calculate the size of the triangle's sides (as suggested previously) and add or substract to the center point, the X and Y coords of the newly calculated sides, depending on the quadrant....
This should give you the second point to draw the line with...

Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.
