Clock icon disappeared / lost
Hi, I still have clock funtionality (alarms go off, etc.) but the only way to access the clock is by searching on the word "clock" using the new search feature. The icon has disappeared or is lost, leaving a blank spot on the home screen. This did not occur immediately following a sync. Rebooting doesn't restore the icon. I haven't had a chance to re-sync yet but just wondered if anyone else had this issue. You're not supposed to be able to delete the clock icon and it's not a choice under "Restrictions".
Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to restore, either as new or from a backup.

There is no system installed clock icon in the dock (at the bottom of your desktop); if you've installed a third party app, go to your Applications folder and drag the app icon back into the dock.

Default apps cannot be deleted and the Clock app cannot be restricted. Look on all screen and folders. If not found, reset your home screen layout under Settings > General > Reset

I have an ipad 2 I updated it to ios 7 and things are great then today I rebooted my ipad then I found out the clock icon disappeared I searched for it on spotlight and nothing I restored the ios from a backup and nothing plz tell what to do

How long has it been since this device was jailbroken or had the OS rolled back? -
I have Mac OS10.4.11 with MS Office 2004 for Mac, installed. Yesterday, when clicking on the Entourage icon, in the dock, to receive my Email, the icon disappeared and I lost my Email service from the HD and from Spotlight, as well. Word, Excel and PP are still OK. Could this be a virus?

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
Somehow my Clock Icon has disappeared. (Must have gotten accidentally deleted). How can I get it back?

The internet was working fine til 10:31am philippine time. Was downloading OSX Lion, at that time it was somewhere half. Then all of a sudden internet failed and lost connection. Called my ISP immediately and was told it would take 24-48hours for the service to be restored. THen after ending the call the OSx Lion icon disappeared. I dont know what to do. Im not techie at all. Please guys. HELP ME>

The Audiobooks icon disappeared.
When I was last synching my ipod nano the Audiobooks icon disappeared from my home screen. I also lost the playlist that contained my audiobook. I checked under "Settings" and the audiobooks icon was "on". I turned the "on" "off" button a few times to see if it would come back to the home screen but it did not. I was able to change other icons using the settings "on" "off", but not Audiobooks. The audiobook is in my library and are checked off to synch with my ipod. My library indicates a playlist with the book in it, but it doesn't appear on my ipod. I did not receive a message that I was out of space on the nano, so I think there was enough room left to synch. How do I get it back?
You may want to try a Restore on the iPod using iTunes. The button for Restore is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.

On Finder Freeze/Relaunch All my desktop files & icons disappear
The title sums it up.
When ever my mac decides to go into spinning wheel mode and I have to force quit/relaunch finder, when I relaunch finder every desktop file & icon disappear.
At that point I'm forced to push the shutdown button on the tower and reboot, then all is well until the next time.
And the next time could be a day or a few days or a week. No rhyme or reason why.
Please help me solve this frustrating problem.

You may be better off seeing if turning off iCloud temporarily helps. This can especially be a problem with non-Apple routers whose firmware may not be up to date. Multitasking with backups can lead to corruption of your backups. Time Machine should only backup to hard drives twice the capacity of the original, otherwise it spends a lot of time trying to discover which archives to eraes to maintain room. Energy Saver can also create problems for backups, as it takes a moment for the Mac to recognize the connection. Use screen saver instead of Energy Saver when backing up. System Preferences lets you control both. Putting hard drives to sleep when backing up is ill advised. -
I downloaded IOS6 and all of my app icons, including the App Store icon disappeared. Now to use an icon, I have to go to Passport and click on the App Store button at the bottom and search through all of the apps to find the one I want and then click on Open. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete the app and start over.

It sounds like the application you are looking for is indeed still on your iPhone. You can confirm this by searching in the Spotlight Search for this application. It may have accidentally been moved to a folder, or an additional Home screen:

I'm running iCloud on a Windows 7 PC. Photoes have been autmatically uploaded from my iPhone. However, the "Photoes" ICON does not load, and I receive an error message of a problem. Then the ICON disappears. How can I access my photoes?

I have never jailbreak my new iPhone 4, but after I have sent a email out, I jumped back to the home screen, I notice the Weather Icon disappeared. Restart and reboot my phone, but still can't get it back.
Anyone know how to restore this app without a complete restore?I have checked all my folders, all the screen, did a sync, its not there. Indeed at one moment my Contact starts to disappear as well.... the icon is gone but the word Contact is still remain, I click on it and I still see my phone book, as I exit the app, I saw the Contact icon re-appeared.

My email crashed and my ICloud icon disappeared by my system and reverted to mobile me which of course is no longer available. Any ideas on what to do?
You'll actually need to order a snow leopard DVD first. Then you can download mountain lion via the app store. Confirm you meet the requirements: http://www.apple.com/osx/specs
If you dont, you might be able to get lion instead. That's an order over the phone, to get a redemption code.
And make sure you're actually contacting apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
You'll also want to confirm your 3rd party apps are compatible before an OS upgrade. Of course, you'll also want to backup your data.

I can't open this product, every time I try to it just asks for my adobe sign in and then when I log in the photoshop icon disappears and nothing opens. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the program but the same things happens.

CS4 and 3rd party plugins - icons disappear
I'm having problems with CS4 on Vista 64bit with 3rd party plugins. I'm aware that 64bit issues exist but even on the 32bit CS4 Photoshop's toolbar icons disappear once Nik, OnOne etc are installed. I've left CS2 installed as well on the same system and this works fine.
This could be a problem with for the 3rd party developers of course but obviously CS4 has changed something.
I have Vista 64bit with 8gb RAM. Disabling the GPU functions doesn't help nor does running CS4 in XP compatibility mode. Removing the plug ins is the only way to resolve the problem.
Just wondering if anyone else has hit this problem and even better found a solution to it.I think I can recall the behavior being confirmed for Nik and they are working on a fix/ update. The situation may be the same for other tools/ vendors, so you'll probably have to live with it for a moment or resort to using older versions of PS...

Oracle password won't work after fresh installation
I've just installed 10g and tried to connect to SQL*PLUS and EM. I have the default password as oracle and username oracle on the system. No idea why I can't log in since Oracle never gave me the option on the basic installation. Any ideas?
