Clock icon static

The apps that come with the iPhone include a Calendar and a Clock.
The icon for the Calendar changes to show the current date.
Why does the icon for the Clock always show 10:15? I realize that the time shows at the top of the phone screen anyway, but the Clock icon is more visible, and occasionally throws me off.
(It would be nice if the temperature in the Weather icon were correct, too, but I realize that is more difficult, and it bothers me less.)

Good suggestion - never thought of that before.
Send it to someone who can do something about it http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Blackberry 9300 Small clock icon and fast battery drain

Hello there! My girlfriend's been having problems with her 9300. A couple of days ago, a small clock icon started appearing whenever she would try to use a menu item on her blackberry, or when she would try and turn off the lock. She also found that the battery would drain signifigantly faster, to the point where a full charge won't last a day.
She has no 3rd party apps installed, and has wireless disabled. Yesterday, we took it to the local store and they replaced the battery. When she's had these problems, she's turned the phone off and removed/reinstalled the battery to no effect.
    Thank you for your time.

Hi, I had the same problem... I found the solution and the culprit is compression...
Menu >> Option >> Device >> Storage >> Enable Compression...
Disable this and the pain is over... my battery has popped back to normal...

  • Clock icon disappeared / lost

Hi, I still have clock funtionality (alarms go off, etc.) but the only way to access the clock is by searching on the word "clock" using the new search feature. The icon has disappeared or is lost, leaving a blank spot on the home screen. This did not occur immediately following a sync. Rebooting doesn't restore the icon. I haven't had a chance to re-sync yet but just wondered if anyone else had this issue. You're not supposed to be able to delete the clock icon and it's not a choice under "Restrictions".

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to restore, either as new or from a backup.

  • Clock icon disappeared on my dock for OSX - 10.9.4

my clock disappeared from my desktop and I am now late for morning coffee

There is no system installed clock icon in the dock (at the bottom of your desktop); if you've installed a third party app, go to your Applications folder and drag the app icon back into the dock.

  • Clock icon on

The clock icon does not display the correct time. It now (@21.36) seems to be stuck at two to seven. Is there a way to (re) activate the clock?

I can't afford another iPod because I said that it was going to be the only iPod that I was going to get
Should've thought about that before you jailbroke it. Any other devices you jailbroke should be unjailbroken right away. Since it cannot connect to iTunes, the jailbreak already messed it up so try this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • Curve 8520. Small clock icon appearing and very slow running

My curve is operating really slowly and when I try to open or send a text or open a mail, I get a very small clock icon appear. After about 20 secs, the text or mail opens. Not able to send any e mails either. Thought too many stored mails may be the problem but device won't now allow me to delete. Battery also running low after just a few hours, even after fully charging.

    1. Do a reboot on the device:  With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
    2. To prevent freezing or lagging/slow response on any BlackBerry, the most important practice you can adopt is to be sure to CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.
If you just hit the red "end call" key to go back to the home screen the application actually stays open and running in the background. If you do this repeatedly you will have lots of apps open and consequently your memory will get used up. Lack of memory is the biggest reason your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or locks up. If you get into the habit of actually using the menu key to close the applications this will at least slow down this memory-clogging process. You still may have to do a battery pull or use the "Quickpull" app once in a while when things get slow.
To check what applications are running on your device in the background, press the Menu key then choose Switch Applications. You will see the icons of each application there.
So now, check your applications running in the background. There are commonly four or five applications that will always be running (Messages, Call Logs/Phone, BlackBerry Messenger, Homescreen, and the Browser; there are other third party applications such as BeeJive, and BlackBerry Alerts which will also run in the background which you cannot close if you want them to operate). Make certain that the browser is NOT on an active webpage (open the browser and choose Menu > Close). Close any other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

  • CDC - clock icon does not turn to green from yellow after starting journal

    Hi,
I am going through the following steps for my datastore for the CDC concept:
    1. created a datastore.
    2. Selectively reversed a table into it.
    3. difined a simple journalizing mode and JKM oracle simple.
    4. Right clicked on the data store , in that change data capture -> subscribe - > SUNOPSIS.
    5. Right clicked on the data store , in that change data capture -> Add to CDC.
    6. Right clicked on the data store , in that change data capture -> Start Journal.
In the Operator , i donot get any warnings or errors after i start the journal.
I have refreshed my Designer also.
But the clock icon is not turning into green from yellow.
I tried this for other datastores and tables too. Still the clock icon doesnot turn green.
Due to this iam not able to get any journal data.
Please help me with this issue.
    Thanks
    Divya aggarwal

    Dear Sutirtha & Brice,
CDC is working fine for my source table now. Thanks for your help.
But now I am having issue with the Integration flow table.
I have created and interface with the journalized table as my source which is defined in one schema and target table which is defined on other schema.
I have kept staging area different from target.
The KMs which I am using are :
Source table - LKM SQL to Oracle: Source to Staging
Staging table - LKM SQL to Oracle: Staging to Target
Target table - IKM Oracle incremental Update - Common
I am using the default option values for these. Especially the detection strategy in the IKM is "<Default>:Not_Exists.
Now the issue is that my updated record of sorce table is getting inserted into the journal table and also into the work table at target schema side.
But that record is not getting inserted into the flow table , as a result of this that updated record at source is not getting updated in my target table from the flow table.
The package which I am executing is getting executed without any errors. Please guide me for the flow table issues.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Divya Aggarwal

  • HowReSet CLOCK & DATE? cant see right 2" Screen Crackd where clock icon is

brief: Is there another way to RESET CLOCK, because I can't see the CLOCK ICON which is located in upper right corner of the screen, because my screen is Cracked but just on the right two inches.
Of course, the solution is to replace the screen, but we can Not afford that anytime soon, and would like advice on alternative ways NOW to reset clock & date
Is there a way to relocate that Clockk iicon to another location on my screen? Or, or...
    I have just a small 9 3/4 inch screen (12" diagonal).
Dropped & cracked my screen last year. Still works great, that's not the problem, I work arounnd it.
But I left my computer on overnite without the power cord hooked up.
I had supposed that it would just go to sleep and not screw me up. But it did.
It warns that clock needs to be reset or some applications may not work right and may cause troubles.
    So far those troubles are:
I visit to some of my regular websites where II have registered, & sometimes get warning that it does not recognize me, but luckkily so far they've given me option of hitting continue & I get on my fav sites ok. So, that's not my main, problem, tho I would welcome advice on that if i can't reset my clock, but if ii can't, I'll just repost a separate query later.
My APPLE 'CALENDAR' applic, that came with this old G4, now opens to 1969, and must click up arroow year by year to get up to 2008. I'll probably post a separate !Q on that too, if nec.
Maybe I posted this to the wrong topic section and should post it elsewhere? Liike customization?
Will be VERY GRATEFUL for soolutionn & reward help with pos feedback.
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

    Hello thelnukus,
Kappy has addressed your problem of time and date settings holding due to battery charge etc. but I wanted to address your question concerning placement of the time and date on the screen.
This can be done simply by choosing "Clock" tab in Date and Time settings in System Preferences and you can customize the clock to display as digital or analog clock on your desktop and this can be move around I believe and transparency can be set to differing levels. Once you get your battery prob worked out try fiddling round with the settings in Date and Time for the Clock.
    I hope that helps some,

  • IPhone Clock icon

This is not a question, but a suggestion.  I think the iPhone Clock Icon needs to work as an actual, live and accurate, clock showing local time while it just sits there on the screen.

IMO, that's just a waste of processor, memory and battery especially when you have the time at the top of the screen.
That being said, you can provide Apple with your suggestion... http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Little clock icon to right of Inbox

What is that little clock icon to the right of the Inbox? I'm having trouble with my mail - some messages of the past day keep re-appearing. One of them was a "can't deliver" from my server, and I can't even open it. This is a POP account. I think the little icon and these problems are related.

A little (~) icon to the right of a mailbox indicates that the account is Offline. If the Inbox has the icon, it means there is at least one account in the Offline state. Choose Mailbox > Go Online or click the (~) icon to bring the accounts Online again. There is also a button you can put in the toolbar for this. Search for offline in Mail Help for more info on this.

  • Small Time Clock Icon Delay

Multiple times throught the day my BB wil have a little time clock icon that shows up and while it's there the phone is delayed and I can't do anything with it until it goes away.  I found a thread that suggested that I make sure I check all my running apps, which I did and shut down all but the defaults and the icon would still pop up.  Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution to this?  Thanks!

Then you may have a badly behaving app installed -- this can happen even if you don't launch the app...it can cause problems while dormant. There are 2 approaches:
    1) Start removing add-on apps, one at a time, with long gaps (measured in days IMO) between. When the behavior stops (if it does), you know the culprit.
    2) Reload your OS from scratch cleanly. Run with no add-ons for a few days. If things are fine, start adding add-ons, again slowly. When the behavior starts up (if it does), you have your culprit.
It also may be that your OS is corrupt, in which case the reload may cure it.
It also may be that your OS is dated, in which case getting an update from your carriers DL site might be in order:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
You see, there are sadly many possibilities...none will be a simple time determining the right solution.
    Best.

  • Reports Server shows clock icon in Enterprise Manager.

    Hi.
My Reports Server is showing a clock icon for its Status. This seems to happen unexpectedly for other components, too. Can anyone explain what it means ?
    Thanks.

I installed both infrastructure and midtier on a single windows server. In the EM midtier status list, my reports server also has a clock in the status column (this means unknown status). If I click on the reports server, the next page says that the reports server is down (although all components are up).
I tried to run both the JSP and paper test reports and neither work (Page Not Found).
I've looked at trace logs and nothing looks bad.
Does anyone know what is wrong????
