Clock is always showing while charging my Lumia 10...

The clock screen is a nice feature when I take the phone out of my pocket and the time shows without me needing to press any thing. But I would like the clock to go away after a while when its charging, just as it does when its on battery. It is annoying that it lights up my bedroom, and I would prefer not to turn the screen down as this could scratch the screen over time.

  • Lenovo K 900 --Battery charge indicator always shows 100 %

A strange issue after firmware upgrade in lenovo K 900 , When I charged to 100  % , the phone always shows 100 % charge . It is not getting updated and after using for 6-7 hrs the phone gets switched off without any notice . Now I can charge again and this time the battery charge indicator shows correctly . but again the same issue is seen if the phone is charged to 100 % .

Let it die all the way down, to recalibrate the battery, and then fully recharge.  See if that helps.

  • OS v2.2 Battery indicator always shows full until device dies.

After I upgraded to version 2.2 of the OS on my iPhone 3G, my battery indicator is always showing 100% charge. After a full day of normal usage, the iPhone just died with a dead battery. I didn't even get the usual warning when the battery was at 20%.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

That problem has been around for a while. If you now give it a full charge, you will (most likely) have solved the problem. It sort of fixes itself most of the time simply by running the phone down all the way, then recharging all the way.
It calibrates the charge measuring circuit.
    Post back if it persists.

  • I had recently tried to change the background of the lockscreen and it did not show the selected image as lockscreen background while charging, but earlier the image iused to keep as lockscreen background used to be always present even while charging???

is it normal for the iphone to act like this ???

Firstly I thank you very much ckuan to take out time and answer my question. But I seem to have tried all the three things but in my case the phone doesn't show background of lock screen in two out of three instances that you have pointed out. First being it shown to me while charging if I press the home key, but if I press home key once during charging it still appears dark and battery and I suppose date and time shown.
Secondly the one at silent mode also doesn't work in my phone.

  • Lumia 710 boots sometimes while charging

I usually charge my Lumia 710 while I'm sleeping. It is happened now twice that during the night Lumia vibrates and restarts itself. After that it will ask PIN code and so on. This does not happen every time and never when not being charged.
I talked today with Nokia via Chat and the person there said that this is a feature but it sounds a bit weird? It is annoying to wake up because the phone is making noise and nobody could call you because the phone is asking PIN code.
Has anybody else noticed this kind of behavior?

Do you mean the phone restarts or starts when charging?
If you mean 'starts' it is indeed by design (or a feature if you like). Windows Phone is an always on-design, meaning it only has two modes on or off.
Charging also occurs in on-mode. There is no charge-mode (other than when the battery is very low, then it has a special animation it shows before booting into the main OS). So if you plug in a charger it will switch to on, and boot the main OS.
If you want to use overnight charging and not being disturbed, just put the phone in airplaine mode or just silence the ringer.
if you however mean that it 'restarts' in the sense that your phone is already on, and restarts during charging it is a bug and not a feature.

  • Display Clock while charging?

    Hi all,
does anyone know if it is possible to set the Q10 to show the clock / lock screen while the device is being charged?
For old models (e.g. BOLD 9000) this could be specified.
    Thanks & best regards
    Alex

No, Just swiping down and tapping on the Alarm clock does not automatically set in Bedside mode.
Once in the Clock screen, Swiping the second time to "bedside mode" places it is bedside mode.
But no, there is not automatic clock while charging feature. Sorry. Perhaps that is to come.

  • Lumia 820 / battery drain while charging

I have the Lumia 820 with the Navigon navigation app installed.  I went on a trip this past weekend and noticed a strange battery drain while driving to my destination. The drive was a little over 2 hours and I was charging the phone the whole time. I figured I would test it on the drive home. I charged the phone completely before starting the drive home. I was camping so I had to use the lighter jack in the car which is always on and charged the phone from less then 10% to 100% overnight.  Again the drive was a little over 2 hours, had the Navigon app open and running the whole time and the phone was plugged into the lighter and the charging icon was registering a charge the whole time.  The only other thing running was cellular data. NFC, Bluetooth, Wifi, Nokia Drive, all off. When I arrived home the phone was at 45% and was very hot.
I upgraded from the Samsung Focus and using the Navigon app in the same car never ever had less power when I  I ended a trip to when I started a trip.  I use the Navigon app all time so this is a real issue.  I am also going to post this on the Navigon website.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

I didn't have any problem with charging the phone, but I have another problem with the battery, I noticed that sometimes my battery started to drain so fast (I mean from 100 to 10 in less than 2 hrs!!!), even when I'm not using the phone! and when I pick the phone the area on the right hand side of the rear camera (which I believe the CPU located) is warm (it's not hot but warmer than rest of the phone). I managed my background tasks, etc. but didn't work. It seems that there is bug which sometimes the OS won't release (terminate) the processes (even after closing the app). I tried turn the phone on/off but didn't work until uninstalling the last application that just installed or opened. It happened 3-4 times and the last one was today when I opened my Nokia Music. At first I thought may be it's because of the 3G usage, but even after switching to the X-Box music to stream from my Micro-SD card the battery was draining fast.

  • Always show beginning of JTextField, while it stays selected

    Hello,
I have an editable JComboBox, and when I select items from it, I highlight the selected item. If the item's length is longer than the textField's width, I have the cursor pointing to the end of the text by default. I was wondering if there's a way to always show the beginning of the text, regardless of the text length, while it stays selected. I have tried setCaretPosition(0) which works, but then unhighlights the text.
Your help will be very much appreciated.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message that corresponds to a failed backup. Now
CLEAR THE WORD "Starting" FROM THE TEXT FIELD
so that all messages are showning, and scroll back in the log to the time you noted. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the text field.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

  • BAttery no longer showing on iPhone while charging

Last night when I charged my iPhone the big green battery was on the display the whole time. Tonight as I'm charging it the screen goes blank and I have to hit the home button to see the battery. Anyone else notice this change in behavior? If not then does you iPhone show the green battery while charging or does your screen go blank?
It's not a big deal but I was a little surprised to see the change.

The little battery in the upper right on my screen is NEVER green, even when the battery is fully charged. It's white, even when it is charging. On the other application screens, it is green or partially so, but not on the main one.
I'm not sure if you mean that battery icon, or the giant one that comes on when you start to charge. If you mean the big one, I have only seen it twice, and the other times, it goes to a black apple screen and then the regular main screen as it charges.

Hey..i had the same issue...here's the fix:
This picture means that your ipad is in recovery mode.  To fix it, you need to plug it into your computer/laptop for it to update.  You'll need have iTunes downloaded to do this.  Once you plug in the ipad or iphone, you'll see a popup asking you to update the device.
    Best of luck!

In People > (tap your avatar/image) you can change your chat status for the phone. Whether or not this will work depends on a number of factors outside the phone's control.
Tap set chat status to chage your status. This would only affect the status for social media accounts linked to your Microsoft account.
