Clock looses time

My clock wont keep time. I have it set to check from the internet and have set it to the correct time zone. I have also trashed the pref file multiple times and it has not helped. When I click on the clock prefs it will fix itself but this is only because it checks from the internet but it may later loose time again. This also happens sometimes when I boot up. I was told before that this is because of the clock battery however, this does not apply because I have a MBP not a desktop. I do have bootcamp v.1.4 running xp pro sp2 if that means anything. This problem is not specific to OS X because it happens with windows as well.

P.S. this is unrelated but does anyone know the release of leopard? I know that it is sometime this month (october) but not the exact date.

My brother told me this happened to him as well, and is caused by using Boot Camp. You might check in the Boot Camp forum:

See if anyone has found a solution (my brother simply uninstalled Boot Camp, as he has several other Windows machines around the house, he just wanted to try it out).

Clock losses time & date when battery dies whats my problem?

Well, probably the reason that would happen is that when the iPod is asleep, a tiny bit of the battery keeps the clock alive. If it is completely deprived of all power, that it wouldn't be able to keep that small process going. Just make sure to not let the battery die entirely, and it should be fine. I usually keep my iPod plugged in, but if I can't, I stop using it when I get the 20% battery warning. If you put it to sleep when you get this alert, there is plenty of juice to keep the clock alive in the background for quite a while.

IPhone clock losing time

I noticed a few weeks ago that my iPhone clock was 2 mins behind my MacBook clock and other computers. Then about a week after that I noticed it was closer to 3 mins behind. Now it's getting closer to 4 mins behind. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

all digital clocks loose time a bit by bit
but a computer is likely to sync with some service on the internet
making it's clock more correct
but syncing a iphone with the computer should also sync the clock

CFP clock loose synchronization

   It seems to me there's a great problem in my 2 cFP-2020. They run an embedded application, in which I manually can set system time. In a timed loop I get cFP system date-time, and I notice that, in comparison to windows system clock, cFP clock looses about 2-3 seconds each 10 minutes: it's really too much!
   In my application I have to log events with timestamps, and I need an accurate clock! Moreover, my final application won't have an ethernet connection, so that I can't provide a time-server! So onboard clock must be accurate! I can only send packets via RS232 to update time, but I whish I could do it once per day, not once per minute!
   Last thing I noticed, is that this lost of synch happens mainly when I cyclically get system time, but it seems absurd to me that system clock looses cycles when "asked" for time!

These two .vis are one way to get and distribute the HW clock.
A 'read' of time_global.vi will return the most recently set time.
We read our I/O about 1/second so the time is plenty accurate
for our applications.

IPad clock loses time

My iPad clock began losing time last week. I probably had a warranty then.

Is it possible to have Clock in and clock out times in weekly view

Hi,
We have Daily View and Weekly View in Record Working Time iview in ESS.We can set the Clock in and Clock out times in Daily view if we check the With Clock Times checkbox in Data Entry Profile.But we want to have same Clock in and Clock out in Weekly view without any developement.
If it not possible thru config how much will be the Development Effort

Clock changes time randomly

Has any one had any issues with their clock changing time randomly on their iphone 5c? it will go up in time then back several times during the day. I am the only one in the house that this is happening to

If "Automatic Time" is turned on in Settings, the time is coming from the cell towers. Contact the carrier to address.

For about 1 week Iphone 5 looses time. Have to restart to correct time. Usually looses up to 15 min. Did update but did not fix problem.

Have you tried resetting the network settings? Go to settings, general, reset, reset network settings.

Since loading mavericks my calendar posts events one hour late. That is, if mtg invite is for 9am it posts at 10am. my pc clock and time zone are correct.

Thanks for the question, and what a great question it is!
With time zone support on, you can edit an individual event and change the time zone for that event. This list will include options for your default time zones, UTC, and "floating" - the latter of which is what you are looking for. Floating changes the event to occur at the specified time, local time.

Hey there, I use an E61i with the newest firmware and since some months ago (it seems ~the installation of the new firmware) my alarm clock sounds goes off, but not hearable. It's not loud, it is almost not even hearable if you're near to it.
All my other sounds work just fine, call rings, sms notification, ringtones, music, all fine.
But just the alarm clock doesn't work.
I checked ALL options at least twice, I tried to change almost every option and made several test rounds concerning the alarm clock. I just don't know what happened, why it happened and how I can repair it.
I can provide you with more information, what do you need?

Loosing time information

I am having strange issue as I am loosing time information for date filed when I am executing interface where source and target is Oracle11G databse using IKM Oracle incremental update KM. I am not directly mapping my source "Date" field but I am using it in one of my join. for example.
To_Char(Table1.Creation_date,'HH24MI')=Table2.column1
But its not populating any data beacue there is no row to fullfill for this criteria. When I am running query against the C$_ table like Select To_Char(C$_Table1.Creation_date,'HH24MI') from C$_Table1 I am getting 0000 so its loosing the time information when its loading data into c$_table. Any idea why it loose the time information(Hour, min,sec) in the date file where To_Char(C$_SourceTable.Creation_date,'HH24MI') give me the correct value from source table.

NX-OS - clock summer-time - Last sunday for BST?

Hiya,
This may be a dumb question - I may just be missing something obvious - but I'm trying to setup some NX-OS based devices (5548Ps/5020s/1000Vs) with the correct daylight savings setting for the UK - ie. british summer time.
The definition of BST is:
"British Summer Time (BST) starts on the last Sunday in March and ends on the last Sunday in October, at 1.00 am Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)"
ie. it's always the 'last' sunday'. On our IOS devices we do this:
clock timezone GMT 0
clock summer-time BST recurring last Sun Mar 1:00 last Sun Oct 1:00
....but there's no equivalent 'last' keyword on NX-OS:
clock summer-time zone-name start-week start-day start-month start-time end-week end-day end-month end-time offset-minutes
Sometimes the 'last' sunday is the 4th, and sometimes it's the 5th...?
Anyone know how to set it to the last sunday? Or do I just have to accept it's sometimes going to be a week out?

Loosing Time Code FC6 - Mini DV

Hi Gang
Never expereinced loosing time code before. Have noticed it's becoming problematic, (during capture), when tape was stopped-started as it was being recorded. Never had this problem before. Have tried two different Panasonic Camcorders, (both are in great shape), cleaned heads in both units, problem continues. Wondering if trashing preferences would help?

"you're just gonna have to manually set up each capture after each timecode reset." I believe this is the answer I was hoping to get. I'm sure you can understand my frustration. I'd like to be re-assured that I'm not possibly capturing ALL this tape for NAUGHT. That's a lot of scratch disk.
Please, to be sure here; so then I'll just deal with the broken time code, and just "manually set up each capture after each timecode reset." Which means: 'hit escape', go on to capture the next piece, and so on, and so on....

I was wondering what the default/auto settings were for the clock/date & time if it should be checked to auto configure to update time & date settings or to leave it unchecked? [im just trying to get my settings back to default settings if anyone knew.

My macbook suddently looses time and date - it switses to year 2000.
Would a reset of PRAM be a solution? Or.....????
