Clock time being displayed incorrectly

Hey all, I have a little problem with my macbook.
I noticed a while back that the time displayed by iStat Menus time is an hour faster than the actualy current time. Thinking that the current time zone was giving me problems, I went into time zone and sure enough, it's the correct time zone. I looked at the time in the Date & Time preference pane, and it shows the correct time. Also, when I turned on the clock in Date & Time, the Mac OS X stock clock, it showed the same time as iStat Menus was showing me, the current time plus one hour. Does anyone know a way to resolve this as it is really bothering me. Thanks

Restarting my macbook after changing the time zone fixed the problem...

Any instance of time being displayed through Firefox is 5 hours off (+) (IE Comcast call time logs, every page print out, etc). IE and all other browers display correctly as is all of the time settings on my computer. Please help.

Any instance of time being displayed when using Firefox show the time off by +5 hours. I am in Phila so use EST. Every other setting is correct in computer. For example time call log displayed from Comcast and every page footer shows time +5 hours. I have not found anything helpful in searching the web. I always check after each upgrade to Firefox but problem persists.

Cor-el... The issue was in the autoexec.bat file. I did have the TZ set there. Removed and all is well.

Math characters are being displayed incorrectly in a webpage. eg. Þ is being displayed instead of what I think should be ⇒

I am using Firefox 24.0 in Linux Mint.
I am currently doing a math test. Incorrect characters are being displayed.
There are only true/false questions on this math test. The questions on it are supposed to be very easy basic algebra questions, but because the characters are not loading properly, I cannot tell what they are.
A few examples from the test:
Are the following statements true or false:
|-7|=Ö49=7
Ö8-Ö29=Ö(-21)
Ö8-Ö29=-Ö21
3x=6 Þ x=2
(x-2)(x+2) = 1 Þ x-2 = 1 or x+2 = 1
Based on how they are being used, I assume Ö should be a √, and that Þ should be a | or ⇒
What is happening here? How do I fix this?
Are my guesses correct?

What font is specified if you check that via the right-click context menu in the built-in Inspector?

Convert util.Date to sql.Date with time being displayed!

Hi all,
I want to convert util.Date to sql.Date for passing the same to Database. (i donot want to use Timstamp, for some reasons)
java.sql.Date sqldate =
new java.sql.Date(new java.util.Date().getTime());
This simple code truncates the Time component and the result will be only Date. But my requirement is for Data and Time, both.
Request anyone to suggest how to go abt this problem.

You can use the class java.text.DateFormat (java.text.SimpleDateFormat) for displaying. For example like this.
java.sql.Date sqldate = new java.sql.Date(new java.util.Date().getTime());
java.text.SimpleDateFormat formatter = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("yyyy.MM.dd 'at' HH:mm:ss z");
String str = formatter.format(sqldate);
System.out.println(str);

Symbol chars being displayed incorrectly

When I open my pdf in Adobe Reader it looks like this:
But when I open the same pdf with AI it looks like this:
Except for the lines, all the chars are from one and only one font. As you can see, some of the chars display correctly. It is a font I created with Fontagrapher (and permissions are set to 'you can do anything!'). It looks correct when I open it with Adobe Reader, Photoshop, and InDesign. Just not AI.

Is the font installed and does it work properly if you create a new file in Illustrator?
As mentioned above, the only PDF files that Illustrator is guaranteed to open correctly are those made in Illustrator and save as PDF with Illustrator Editing Capability.
You might also want to take a look at the IndyFont script for InDesign. You mentioned you already have Fontographer, but IndyFont is quite versatile and works within the familiar ID interface. http://www.indiscripts.com/category/projects/IndyFont

Connection Time being displayed next to the wifi icon

i hate it.....and do not need to know how long im connected to a router. but i can not find anywhere how to turn this off. I do not know if this is something caused by the macbook pro or TimeCapsul...as i just bought both on the same day last week.

It shows when you are connected using PPPoE. Click on the Airport Icon in the menu bar then hold your mouse over your Airport connection. A submenu should pop up. There will be a check mark next to "Show time connected." Select that line it to toggle the setting off.

Storage being displayed incorrectly?

Hi, a few weeks ago i checked my storage and it was weird, i had just gotten the computer (Macbook pro retina 13' late 2014) and it had said i had over 120 gigs of apps installed on the visual display bar, yet it said i had 181 gigs free (I only have 256 gigs of total storage), so i know it isn't possible, i restarted my computer and it happened again, but today it didn't, until now. Should I be worried about this or can I just safely ignore this?

just upgraded to 4.2.1 software on my Iphone 4 and guess what?
Time is displayed incorrect in automatic mode.
Time is normally 10u30 and it displays 04u30 ...
Does Apple know this already?
Anyone else got this problem?
I manually changed the time on my Iphone, but I hope Apple come up with a fix for this, very soon!?

Deluge and KDE - displaying incorrectly for one user only

My deluge (and possibly other gtk apps) are being displayed incorrectly in KDE. You can see the screenshot attached, but the thing I mostly notice is the progress bar. On my laptop, as well as any other user account on the PC in question, it's a very blue progress bar (so 100% torrents will be all blue, 0% no blue, and obviously in between as % increases). In the past I've messed with various gtk/kde rendering apps (so that gtk apps will display "correctly" in KDE), but I don't currently have any installed. I also have rm'ed the configs in question per the wiki ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … plications ). I have tried removing the deluge config for my current user and it still doesn't "fix" the issue. I've gone through kde system settings to setting all display options to default-type options (which is what my laptop is set to).
Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on where I could look to fix this? It's mostly an annoyance, but I've been trying to fix it for a while now so thought I'd finally ask for some help.
EDIT: I realize this should be in the Desktop/Apps sections, so if a mod could move it for me, that would be much appreciated.

1. You said the projects were all saved "to a shared folder." Do you mean THE Shared folder? Your Mac's Users folder should list two Users, plus a folder named "Shared". Is that the folder you mean?
2. The trouble is that an iMovie project isn't actually a file. It's a special kind of folder called a package, which contains other files and folders. (To look inside the package, Control-Click on the package icon and choose "Show Package Contents" from the popUp menu.)
3. When YOU are the user and you create a new iMovie project, the package and everything it contains is configured with you as the owner. You are the designated owner of all the items that comprise the project. No one else can Write to the project.
4. To change that, you have to change the project package into a normal Finder folder, adjust its permissions and the permissions of all the contents of that folder, then change it back into an iMovie package.
Here's how:
In the Finder, choose Finder > Preferences. Click Advanced and turn ON "Show all file extensions".
The name of your iMovie project "My Sample Project" is now displayed as "My Sample Project.iMovieProject" in the Finder.
Remove ".iMovieProject" from the project name, removing the period. When the Finder asks, say OK.
The project package has now turned into a folder. Select the folder and choose Get Info.
Set Others permissions to "Read & Write". Then click "Apply to enclosed items". When the Finder asks, say OK.
Select the folder name again and add the extension ".iMovieProject" to the name. The folder will change back to an iMovie package.
The package will now allow anyone to Read and Write to the project.

PS: This solution isn't very handy, obviously, but it does the job. A better solution is to buy an external hard drive, and configure it to Ignore permissions. (In the Get Info window for the disk.) That lets both users save projects to the drive without permission issues.

I am getting a strange error in Crystal Reports.
It is displaying a particular field multiple times while the query returns a single row.
I have used a text box in which I have dragged and dropped that field.
The version used to design the reports is Crystal Reports XI while client is having Crystal Reports 11.5.

2- The field is in page header for one report and in group header for the other one.
3- If i grag and drop simply,then it shows correct result,i.e. a single record.
e.g i am displaying a customer name with title.
Like Mr XYZ(page header,query is returning a single row).

Incorrect sender name, subject, and photo being displayed in Mail

For many of my emails, the wrong persons name, photo and subject are being displayed for emails.
Anyone have this happen to them? And does anyone know how to resolve it? We've tried reinstalling the software.

I get something very similar.
I send an email message and it goes to the correct recipient, and the long header says it goes to the correct recipient. However, the one line header in the mail window showing me all my mail says it has gone to someone else. It seems to happen randomly, and the name seems to be a random name from my address book. It does not happen to all my mail (maybe one message in 50).
It gives me a heart attack every-time because I think I have made a mistake.

Simple Event being Displayed Multiple Times

I have a simple event from the past that is being displayed multiple times. There are no other UIDs that are the same in iCal and no other event has the same SUMMARY name.
This particular event shows up 9 times. I can also reproduce the result from Automator by searching the specific calendar and looking for events in the date range.
The event is as follows:

I am not very familiar with the format but it looks pretty straight forward.
The calendar is being synched via Mobile Me and is shared by another two computers. Not sure why this should be relevant since the entry on the computer and on Mobile Me both show this duplication of the event.
The reason I was looking at all was because of the hangs in iCal since I set the sync to automatic.
Any ideas welcome,

If all the records you are displaying in your report
truly are duplicated, you could try check off 'select distinct records'
from the File --> Report Options menu. While this may solve the problem for you, it would be worthwhile to determine if you are actually joining your tables correctly.
likely the records aren't an exact duplicate and the problem is with your join criteria. To verify this you can: start by removing table b from the database expert altogether. does
that solve your problem of multiple rows? If it does, you are not joining to table b correctlyIf you still have
multiple rows, loan_id on its own must not make a record unique. Is
loan_id duplicated in either of your tables? Just because loan_id is a
primary key does not necessarily mean it is unique - often a record
will have 2 or more primary keys and only when all primary keys are
used is the record unique. If you display all of the columns
from both tables, you will hopefully see some (maybe just one) columns
where the value is different between your seemingly duplicate data.
You may need to join on this value as well.as for the type of join you are using (inner, not enforced) you should be fine. Good luck
