Clock widget unreadable on C7 after update to Bell...

After I updated my C7 to Belle I noticed that the date on clock widget on the homescreen is completely unreadable because the date is written in dark grey on black. How can I fix this problem?

I have an N8 and I agree the date is unreadable.
I hope Nokia has been reading all the comments about this issue and the requests of bringing back the Anna style Time, Date and Profile widget as I hate the look of the new digital clock and was quite fond of Anna's.
The only thing I can suggest at the moment is looking for a 3rd party clock. I have seen a couple around (not on Ovi Store) that have just the clock and a larger date but the couple I have tried have failed to install saying component already built in or do not open the clock/alarms or calendar when clicked.
Please Nokia bring back Anna's Time and Profile widget either in FP1/2 or via Ovi Store.

If you update using Nokia Suite then it will take care of the restoration for you and will restore everything it possibly can (messages, photos etc..), but note that all your settings and widgets and homescreens will not be restored.
Do not try to use anyother restore method as it will break the Belle installation.
You should still take a backup, but in the event that you needed to do a reset and restore in future, you should not restore any settings, only restore user files.
read the update FAQ first, then you'll know what you are getting and there won't be any surprises.

All daga lost after updating to bell

after updating to bell i lost my all data like , videos, music, & images i want them back what i should do for it. Plese sugget

Didn't you take Back-up before updating as recommended ? If you have then just restore it back using the Nokia suite ...

KEY LOCKING problem after updating to belle in e6

after updating to belle, it is difficult to unlock/lock using the trigger... Suppose if the phone is locked, when the trigger i locking pulled, it unlocks for a second and gets locked again.

Reinstall the Firmware and check. I am not ssure about the compatibility, but if you re-install using the NSU may give better results.
Pl. post the results after you do this..

Marketplace widget does not work after update

Updated phone (Droid X) this morning (10-24-10). Seemed to go fine until I clicked on what was supposed to be the marketplace widget. It said something to the effect that the application was not installed. The usual Icon was replaced by a blue icon with the settings "cog" on the right side. Is there anyway to get the Marketplace widget back? By the way, it also does not show up in the application window or in the "Manage Applications" list. I have temporarily put a shortcut to the internet Marketplace on the home page.

This is a common issue after update.
There is only 2 ways I know that seem to work.
1. Reinstall app from a market backup apk (EStrong File Explorer works well)
2. Hard Reset on device.

Follow these settings during restore to avoid issues being restored automatically.
1. Go to homepage on device
2. Click left menu hard button
3. Select Settings from list (Bottom Right of Screen)
4. Scroll to "Privacy" in list
5. Select "Privacy"
6. Uncheck "Automatic Restore" and then "Back up my data" under Settings/Privacy
7. Click OK on the menu that pops up that says "Are you sure you want to stop bacing up your settings andapplication data and erase all copies on Google server?"
8. Click Factory Data Reset
9. Click Reset Phone
10. After reset is complete follow step to setup but do not input Google Email information
11. Once phone is at homepage go back into Settings/Privacy and make sure the Automatic Restore option is unchecked, even if grayed out, activate "Back up my data" and quickly disable "Automatic Restore"
5. After being sure that the Automatic Restore option is off it will be safe to log into Google by going to My Accounts and press New account button at bottom and input email account information.
This process will stop all applications and settings from restoring automatically and restoring original issues that usually resolve a number of issues.

Themes not working properly after updating to Bell...

I updated to Belle Refresh on my Nokia C7-00 via OTA update...
However recently I have noticed that while changing the theme (installed in E:/ ) it is taking too as long as 10 minutes to change all its icons, and other things...
However if I close the process in midway and restart my phone, the phone loads up completely with the theme.
Nokia Evolve theme also showing same problem.
Please help...

Many or most 3rd party themes is just causing problems. Uninstall them all and keep the original Evolve. Restart the phone and the phone will work without unexplainable hick ups.... I have facing this kind of issues many times during the last year on devices like Nokia 700, 701 and Nokia E6.
For the moment only 2 themes is working more or less without problems on for example Nokia 701,
1. Lilac sunrise by Hank
2. Min. Green - Giulio7g
Of course there are more themes but just saying that many many themes just messing things up.
Just my experience in the themes abyss here...
I cant understand why Nokia only have one theme in the firmware, there used to be at least 2 or more ealier. It is very nice to have different themes when using situations...former nokia situations now situations byPastilli labs. I use it now and recomend it for what it worth.

Videos in nokia 5 after updated symbian belle

I bought a new nakia 500 device , and videos were good ,but after i updated symbian belle
it became stop and play
I cant watch please give me a solution?

Great to see you are a happy user. I have just bought two Nokia 500 phones (another for my wife), upgraded to Belle, and both have the same infuriating problems:
- system crashes half a dozen times a day without any warning (during calls, browsing, text messaging)
- if I change the language for text messages, I cannot type anything (SMS) any more
- when phone goes to sleep, it often won't wake up and I need to remove the battery (after doing this 4-5 times a day one starts to get very frustrated).
I am very disappointed and cannot recommend the phone to anyone. First Nokia that I feel this way with.

E7 problem after updating to Belle

My phone has been updated to Belle, and now i have problems that when the phone goes on keylock that it stuck somewhere that i cannot use any thing on my screen till i open the phone on keyboard, then i can do a lil again, but the menu button on the phone is not working and i cannot swith to other programs only by shut down the using program...
I have tried to reinstall the update and also a hard reset....
When i am restarting my phone, it works a lil moment again and than the trouble starts again
Any solution?

Widget doesn't work after updating to OSX 10.6.8

After installing the latest batch of updates, my sudoku widget doesn't work anymore. Anyone else having a problem like this, or know how to fix it?

"Just wanted to add to my previous post. This widget uses images “.png” files so the font issue has not affected it’s performance. After some digging I found WebKit2 was bundled with the latest Safari update (5.1 and 5.0.6). WebKit2 uses a whole bunch of new APIs rendering some old ones obsolete. My guess is as good as yours, but most likely the SudokuC controller inside the widget is referring to one of those obsolete APIs."
Does anyone know what this means, and can explain it to someone, like myself, who is not a programmer?
Also, does it seem like a relevant solution and/or cause of the problem?

No guide or on demand, clock always displays 12:00 after 'update'

Our motorola DCT 2524 / 1612 cable boxes have stopped working properly after a late night update. Around 3 am last night the cable boxes switched off and back on, the display briefly flashed "dec" or something similar and then reset. This commonly happens after there is some type of change or update. After a few minutes the picture returned to normal but the clock said 12:00 and there was no guide. I figured it would take a while to fill in and went to bed. This morning I wake up and all the cable boxes are still like this. The picture and sound displays, but the guide hasn't filled in, no on demand, and clocks are still 12. I called comcast and got an automated message about the guides being updated and if I was having problems unplug the boxes and wait 30 minutes. I did this almost 4 hours ago and nothing has changed. Had them send a refresh signal and still nothing. OOB status is "good", so I don't know what to do. Whatever problem I'm having is being caused by whatever update was done last night, everything worked perfectly fine until that happened. Any ideas?

Sync problem after update to Belle

I have updated my E7-00 to Belle yesterday and
now when I'm trying to restore my contacts,
calendar and notes from Ovi sync server I'm

Some 2 months ago, I installed leaked Belle v.111.030.0607 on my N8 and everything worked fine including Ovi Sync.
2 days ago I updated to the official Belle version and the Ovi Sync failed to work with message: "Service activation failed. Try again later." The problem still persists now.
Can you believe it, leaked Belle version works better than the official version?

Lost all contacts & messages after updating to Bel...

Can anyone help please?? Nokia Ovi Suite said it was backing up before installing - in fact I couldn't load the new software without it. I can see the obscure backup file on my laptop. Have lost all my contacts and messages on my phone. Does anyone know how I can restore the backup file? Tried to synch thru Suite but it had same information as my phone - not the backup details, which seems completely pointless! Help please - thanks!

Have you ever synchronized your phone's contacts, messages, calendar, photos, etc. with Nokia Suite before upgrading to Belle?
If you did, then you can have them back by synchronizing again. If you didn't then I'm sorry to tell you you've lost that info, but even in this scenario you have one last chance; that is by restoring the info previously backed up from your phone with Nokia Suite. Do not restore your apps, just restore contacts, calendar and messages if they are available.

you could try to reinstall belle. Backup your phone first, and try a complete reinstall. see how you go.

What is the solution for missing clock widget from home screen after Anna update from Nokia Care !!!
Reinstalled from Nokia Suite, still clock missing - any solution.

Depress your home screen and wait for the 'Edit' menu to appear, tap an empty widget box (Plus sign) to open your widget catalogue, scroll down to the bottom of the catalogue and select a widget called Time and Profile, this should do it...... Unless if it's missing from the catalogue itself.
