You can use RMAN, but I believe there is no specific document on how to use RMAN.

Best way to clone document setup, baseline grid, to new document?

Indesign CS 5.5 I want to clone the exact settings from an existing document to a new document. I know I could save the existing document as a template, but it is a full sized book and none of the text is relevant. Is there an easy way to delete all the text, headers and footers included?
Or alternatively,
I can import all the styles, but I don't see any way to import or save and name the document setup, other than doing it manually.

What steps are needed to configure the apps tier after a db-only clone?

Hello Gurus.
My client wants to save time on cloning, and has asked for database only refresh - meaning that we dont clone to the application tier, but only to the database.
What steps must be taken once the db clone has completed? Need I run autoconfig? What about all the profiles that will be pointing to LIVE in the database?

you should run adautocfg.sh on the application tier as well. Otherwise the essential information regarding your application tier will not be registered within the database and you will not be able to connect to your database through the application.
adcfgclone will not be necessary on the application tier.
Yes, you need to run AutoConfig to populate FND_NODES with the application nodes information. You may also need to clear the FND_NODES table as described in the following note:

BPM with UCM document URI's reference

I have a question that I don’t have clear answer for yet, I have a webservice that clones documents on UCM , I want to send uri reference of the cloned document in the payload for a subprocess without the need to download the document then attach it , is there a way to do that ? I need to generate the uri of already existing document on UCM in a tag like this <URI>ecm://someuri</URI> .

New Window in NetBeans 6.0.1

Hi,
     I am new to using NetBeans � though I have used Eclipse before. In Eclipse we can open a new (Editor) Window selecting from the menu on the top �New Window� -> Window. Is there any corresponding way to do this in NetBeans? This is helpful when using multiple monitors.
     I hope this is the correct place to ask NetBeans related questions. If not please point me in the correct direction.

     Thanks for posting. Yes, I joined the nbusers group in the links you provided. They basically told me that it is not possible. There is no way to get a New NetBeans Window like Eclipse does.
     The closest that you can do is to Right Click on the tab of the open file and select �Clone Document�. Then click on the Tab of this new Document and drag it out the main window.
     I have two monitors � and it helps to have the documents on each monitor when I am working.
So that�s it.

Oracle E-BS 11.5.10.2 didn't work after copy from RHEL 4.4 to RHEL 5.3

Source:
Oracle database server : 10.2.0.3
APPLICATION =11.5.10.2
RHEL =4.4
Target:
Oracle database server : 10.2.0.3
APPLICATION =11.5.10.2
RHEL =5.3
I just copied filles from source to destination.
Has someone did similar way? If yes was any issue during such migration?

Indesign didn't work after installation from cc

The first time I had installed Indesign it didn't open up. I had uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still it didn't open.The attached message comes always. Please let me know if anybody cen suggest a solution for this.

Clarification regarding deep cloning/deep copy

Hi,
While performing deep copy of an object should all the subobject that the parent object constitute also constitute the clone method.
For Eg:
I have a class called Document and a class called Field. Document constitutes of List<Field> fields. Field class has a String fieldName as its member variable.
I need to perform a deep copy of Document object. Should Field class also implement the clone method or can I create field objects in the documents clone method and fill these fields with values from the existing field list to form a new Document with these new fields.
Or do I call clone() method on each field to get a new field object and
add it to the new Document object that I am creating in the clone() method .

Document doc = new Document();
List<Field> fields = doc.getFields()
Field newField = null;
for(Field f: fields){
    newField = new Field();
    newField.setName(f.getName());

the second method is better, because it lets you the possibility to create a subclass of Field with a specific clone method, integrate some instances in a Document object; without changing the Document.clone method.

Refresh

Is there any difference between the database refresh and cloning

It is the same. When you clone the application, you refresh both sides (the application and the database), but you refresh the database, you just need to synchronize it with the changes in the source instance (either datafiles, or datafiles and ORACLE_HOME).

I do not have any docs for cloning 11.0.3 on Windows, but I have the document for cloning (release 11.5.1 to 11.5.5 non-AutoConfig enabled Oracle Applications systems) which I think is no longer available on Metalink (and of course not supported anymore). If you want to have a copy of this document, please let me know.
