I create a play list that has too many songs for a single CD. I have settings for a regular CD, no gap between songs, and Sound Check. I click on the burn button, I'm asked for a disc, it reads and says that it is checking the media. Then tells me that I have too many songs for one disc and asks me if I want to spread my selections out over several CDs. YES. Then I proceed to burn multiple discs. All goes well, the appropriate amount of songs are selected to fill each disc and burnt. But when I'm done and put the discs back in only the last disc has any disc or track information. All the other discs load and display as an Audio CD not the playlist title with Tracks 1, 2, 3, and so on not the names and artists of the songs as they are on the last disc.
One would think that this is such a simple part of the process and it has never worked properly. What is this all about?

Matt, thanks for your reply, but if what you say is true, then why when I put the last CD in and open it in the Finder, the disc has the name of the Playlist and all the tracks are labeled with the song titles? I'm not even in iTunes and I get disc and track info. But when I put in the previous discs the disc is labeled "Audio CD" and the tracks as "Audio Track".
I realize that there is not going to be as extensive amount of info as a MP3 or ACC disc, but there is information there, otherwise how does iTunes get it? When I put a store bought disc in I get disc name and track titles. There use to be an option in the prefs that you could check or change the source that had iTunes go out to Gracenote (formerly CDDB) the music database on the net to get this info. I just imported a CD and got disc and track names on the disc in the Finder and in iTunes. So there is info on a regular audio CD.
So as for iTunes remembering what was on the last disc burnt, I don't think that's correct. For iTunes not to include this, albeit limited, info on all discs of a multidisc burn has to mean something is wrong here.

For starters, have him open Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, select the volume (the indented listing) and Verify Disk. If it reports any problems, have him try a Safe Boot by holding the Shift key at startup. This boot will take much longer than usual. It's checking and trying to repair the drive directory, if possible. Once in Safe Boot, have him repair Permissions.

Also, have him try a PRAM Reset. At the startup chime, hold down CMD-Option-P-R together, listen for two more chimes, total three, then let go to finish booting.
Also, is he running any AV? If so, have him uninstall it. It might be responsible for this behavior. (There are no viruses for OS X.)

I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
System is Windows 7 (64bit).

I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If you're technically comfortable in getting to your Linksys settings - try changing the network mode or channel in your router's settings.
I still use my old Linksys router and when it's set to the default channel, which is 7, my Macbook Pro and Macbook Air sometimes have issues - changed the channel to 9 and have had no issues since.
Maybe it might work for you.
In any event - screenshots below are for your E4200 and play with those settings and see if any of the changes you've made improves how your Macbook connects. Before you change any settings, just remember what the old settings are in case you need to go back to your old settings.

Did you try to wait a bit longer before restarting Firefox to give Firefox more time to close down completely?

Mobile site accordian closes but bottom tab is open when site reopens

the mobile site accordian closes but when reopened, the bottom tab is open.
because previously i had the "can overlap" checked but it was permanently pushing down items below,
i was advised to uncheck that feature. this solved that problem but i wonder if it is making the bottom tab come open each time the site is reopened.

i will double check it now but i am pretty sure i have had it closed when i uploaded.

My homepage will load about 30% and then i'm dead in the water. when i close firefox it appears to close but when i try to reopen it tells me that it's already running. started with beta 6 i deleated and loaded ver 5 no change

when i start firefox, everything starts normal then my homepage (igoogle) starts to load, gets to about 30% and stops. from there i can click on links or bookmark and a new tab will open but no page will load. i can't get anywhere. then when i close firefox it appears to close normally but when i try to reopen firefox i get a message that firefox is still running but not responding and the only way to shut it down is to reboot. when it first occured i was running beta 6 (since it became available, i also used beta 4 & beta 5) i then uninstalled beta 6 and downloaded and installed ver 5 same problem. i then did a system restore to a time before the problem.. no luck. i'm not sure what to try next. IE & chrome both work fine

I'm in exactly the same boat - dead at blue screen, only option is to salvage using target mode.
I don't currently have access to another Mac to do target mode. I was planning to buy a new Mac this fall anyway, though. 2 questions in preparation for that purchase:
1) Is there anything I can do before buying a new Mac to make the salvage process more successful? ie, should I spend the time and money going to the genius bar to have them help me get from totally crippled to partially crippled? (As for expertise, I'm a proficient consumer-grade user, but Apple Support walked me through the safe-boot process, etc.)
2) Is Apple going to provide 10.5 once it is released to people who buy a new Mac in these 6 weeks pre-release?

Browser will open once and open only one page. It closes but then won't open again. How do i fix it?

In the last 24 hours my browser will open only once and go to only one site i choose. after that , i can go to another site but links won't open or anything else. After i close the browser , so i can restart it, it tells me firefox is already open. Problem is it never shuts down in the background. I have to use the task manager to shut it off so i can open it again. Funny thing is that internet explorer, works fine but i don't want to use it. I even tried reinstalling firefox but it did not work. I had to post this on a different computer as well.

ITunes has encountered a problem and needs to close -BUT IT NEVER OPENS!!!!

Had to do a system restore and lost some applications. Reinstalled ITunes, but now everytime I try to open ITunes I get a message that says ITunes encountered a problem and needs to close. It never opens though! I have uninstalled and re-installed too many times to count. I opened the error message and this is what is being sent to Microsoft (c:/Dounme~\Owner\LOCALS~1|Temp\WER97.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt) Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it?????

I would go through a complete uninstall and reinstall once again. This time, follow go to kbase 93976 (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976). Look under the 'General Installation Troubleshooting' section, and start by going through the uninstall (including leftover files in Program Files and system32). After that, go through the section on using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and remove all Apple software that shows up.
Hopefully that should get it working.
