Close internet explorer message first when installing CS3 from disk.
When I attempt to install CS3 from my disk onto my new computer (with Windows 8) I keep getting an error message to close Internet Explorer first. It is already closed. What can I do?
1. restart your computer, then install.
2. you may need to use compatibility mode to install.
3. you may need to right click the setup file and click "run as administrator".

Close Internet Explorer message
I have attempted this download a dozen times.... keep getting the Close internet Explorer at th 50% installation mark..... I have attempted all the fixes mentioned on this site: close Internet Explorer by ending the process..... saving the file to download file and rebooting..... nothing works....Extremely frustrated.... an 800 number would be nice...... Instead of signing up, giving email address, typing my question/message twice...... and who knows if a resolution will be given................

How do I install Cs3 from disk, after trashing the trial version?
I've made the mistake of trashing the trial version of Cs3 that I had on my imac a few years ago.
Now I'd like to install photoshop cs3 on my imac as my other computer is out dated and I get the error message that CS3 is conflicting with CS3 on the computer.
I realise it was a mistake to trash the trial. Is there anything I can do?Download the cleaner tool from the following location and select "CS3" from the pop-up menu. http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
It will show you all CS3 products installed on your machine and will also allow you to remove them selectively. Select the trial build and click "Cleanup".
Or if you have no other CS3 or CS4 application installed on your machine you can just click "Clean All CS3/CS4" to clean your machine.
Then try to install Photoshop CS3. -
Can't install CS3 from disk to laptop with no disk drive. How to do it?
Bought Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium years ago, and have original disks. Want to install on my laptop which does not have a disk drive. Copied the files to portable drive and brought over that way, but setup won't work, giving an error message. What is the procedure for doing this? Thanks
Download the installation files and install using your serial number from the disc you have.
CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs3-product-downloads.html
You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

error occurs when installing software from disk, error event 59 the application has failed because its sidebyside
configuration is incorrect. please help in solving this problem. It applies to all software installing from disk
ThanksHello @usteve,
I understand that your desktop computer is producing an error message when you are attempting to install software using the DVD/CD drive, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To enable your system to install software from your DVD/CD drive, I recommend following the steps in this document on this application failed to start because side-by-side-configuration is incorrect. This should help correct any file corruptions that are preventing software from being installed from a disc.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

Problem installing Flash Player-says to close Internet Explorer, but it's already closed
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player, and have checked that it is installed and enabled, but still the application that requires Flash Player asks for it to be installed. When I try to install it again, it says to close Internet Explorer and retry, which I do, but to no avail. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Empty? Did you click on the Processes tab?
Try the following: download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk. Restart Windows, then before doing anything else, run the downloaded installer. -

Close Internet Explorer Error message
I am attempting to upgrade my adobe flash player and the error message "close Internet explorer" keeps popping up. I have IE closed down and yet it still stalls at 50% with the same message. Any idea how to navigate this problem?
Check if you have any process named iexplore.exe running in background from task manager. You can reboot the machine and check again.

When installing CS3 Design Premium it instals Version Cue server and shared components, but I get the message "Errors: 6 component (s)" and dose not install, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Indesign or Creative Suite Premium
Thank you Bturko in the future only migrate/copy/transfer your documents and settings. Adobe applications especially are not designed to be transferred from one computer to another. It is possible to recover however. I would recommend the following steps:
Run the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
Run the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
If you need to download a fresh copy of the installation files they can be downloaded at Download CS3 products.
Run the installer and reinstall Creative Suite 3. -

Close Internet Explorer (Failed Download)
I have tried multiple times to install Adobe Flash Player. The program initializes and I allow it. When trying to download it asks me to close Internet Explorer. After closing Internet Explorer, I hit Retry, but the same messages re-appears. I don't understand why I keep getting that message after I've already exited out of Internet Explorer... the program will not let me continue.

Only 1 USB drive can be used at a time - others are ignored.
This is a weird one - I can plug either of my 2 USB 3 external HD drives, or a USB 2 pen drive, but only one of them will be recognised (the first). E.g. if I plug in the WD Ellements USB3 HD first, then plug in a second USB 3 HD, or even a USB 2.0 p
