Close ITS-session under NW7.0

Hi!
Is there a way to get open ITS-sessions for a user and close one/all of them programmatically? I checked CL_HTTP* classes and ICF-SAP Help, but without success.
Regards,
Thomas

Gave it up finally.

  • Closing ITS Sessions

    Hi,
We migrated our ISR services to Integrated ITS. ISR has a main service QISR from which we can call the required services. The new service is opened in a new window. All the services called from QISR are custom services. These custom services have their own HTML templates and Java Script (JS).
Earlier on Standalone ITS if we choose "Quit" from the main QISR, along with the main QISR session all the sessions of the subsequent services gets closed.
This is not happening in Integrated ITS. If I quit the main QISR service, only the main QISR session gets closed. All the sessions of subsequent services still hang around. (I can see them in SM04)
These custom services doesnt have the "Quit" option within them. How to close these sessions on closing their browser window? Can we use the onunload event..?
I saw the thread [Close ITS-Session|Close ITS-Session] but couldnt be able to close it using JS or by different means.
Can somebody post the JS code? or any other ideas on closing the sessions?
    Thanks,

  • Curious ITS issue with NW7

This is an odd one to me, but I am fearing it is a limitation of the HTTP plugin and/or Integrated ITS. Sooooo here is the situation...
Our NW7 portal is connected to our ECC6 (EhP4) backend through TWO system objects...
    1. SAPLogonTicket based system for all users
    2. user-mapped system to use for some of our existing "generic" user ITS services...lets call it the "GENERIC" service with user mapped to user "sys_user"
All other information between the system objects is the same except the SAPLogonTicket vs. usermapping settings.
    Here is what happens....
    1. user visits one of the other ITS services...let's say "XYZ"...ran aginst system 1 above
          - in SMO4, I can see the actual user id, the IP address and the XYZ service being hit though plugin HTTP
                  john_smith   10.1.30.1   xyz          plugin HTTP
    2. user visits the "GENERIC" service...ran against system 2 above
-in SM04, I still see the previous userid and IP but service/program is blank
                    john_smith  10.1.30.1    (blank)    plugin HTTP
           - SM04 also show the gneric user, same IP running the GENERIC service though plugin HTTP
                   sys_user     10.1.30.1   generic     plugin HTTP
    3. clicks the "exit" button (kills ITS session)
-session for generic user, IP and service disappears from SM04
-prev. session still shows in SM04
                    john_smith  10.1.30.1    (blank)    plugin HTTP
    4. User visits ITS service "ABC" tied to system 1 above (a service they had not visited before the other "exit" happened).
-user gets a pop-up for LOGIN to backend system 1 (does not seem to use/care about LogonTicket
    5. User visit ITS service "XYZ" that they had been to before
-user is able to run service again (no popup for login)
-SM04 shows the "old" session "reused" for the user running the same service before
                    john_smith   10.1.30.1   xyz          plugin HTTP
Sooo it seems that if a user has visited other services, their session is "held" even when navigating away. If they use a service through the same IP address but as a different user and exit/close the session, it not only KILLS any further ITS sessions for the "generic" user, but they can not start connections as themselves either....unless they go back to services they had been to BEFORE they killed the other one.
    Weird right?!?!?

I just did some further testing with the ADVC110 and discovered that it also only captures from my DVR in reduced size (even though in the viewer it fills the screen). The same thing happens when I capture using the suggested Quicktime Save Movie operation.
At first I kept asking myself; "Why will it not save full HD off the DVR, which as far as I know, is 1080i? Is it a copy protection thing? Is there a setting I'm missing?" Then I realized, the ADVC110 box uses either a single RCA cable for the video, or an S-Video cable, which do not support HD. I also read that a capture box with HDMI will not capture protected programs, so I'm going to have to live with the reduced size when I want to work with broadcast captures.
(My brother and I like to watch TV series construction show, so I'm going to save the series, then edit them together and cut out all the superfulous material so we can watch just the actual construction.)

  • How do you get firefox 4 to save tabs and windows and restore them? Don't say set preferences to open them on startup or use restore previous session under history; those do not work. Or is it no longer possible to save windows and tabs?

    Question
How do you get firefox 4 to save tabs and windows and restore them? Don't say set preferences to open them on startup or use restore previous session under history; those do not work. Or is it no longer possible to save windows and tabs?

'''IT'S A EASY AS IT SHOULD BE.'''
This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.
    # If you haven't already, open a bunch of tabs on a few different subjects.
    # Click the List All Tabs button on the right side of the tab strip.
    # Select Tab Groups.
    # Create a few groups as described [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-are-tab-groups#w_how-do-i-create-a-tab-group here] , i.e. just drag them out of the main thumbnail group into the new groups they create.
    # Now click on any thumbnail in any new group, but not the original big default group you may have left some tabs in.
#A regular Firefox window will open, but'' only the tabs in that group will be visible.'' You also now have the Tab Groups button in the tab strip.
    # Right click on any tab, and there it is: Bookmark All Tabs. Click on it in the list of options. Or you can hit Ctrl+Shift+D instead and go straight to the dialogue box from the tab without any clicks. But don't go looking for this familiar option anywhere else, 'cause it's not there.
    # Now pick an existing folder or create a new one just like you would have before and '''shlpam!''' there they are. New folders are supposed to end up in the Unsorted category all the way at the very bottom, but for some reason mine show up at the bottom of my last sorted category.
    # DO NOT CLICK THE UPPER-RIGHTMOST X to close this group of tabs. This will close ALL of your tabs in all groups, currently visible or not. At least it asks if you're sure first. Instead, click your new Tab Groups button to return to the Boxes 'O Thumbnails window, and click the X in the group box you just bookmarked.
    # Click on another thumbnail to repeat the process with another group, or click on a thumbnail in the big default box to return to the original FF window. You can also click the Tab Groups button at the upper right, or Ctrl+Shift+E, which will also get you ''into'' the Boxes 'O Nails window ''from'' FF.
    # So now when you reopen FF after shutdown, simply select your folder from your Bookmarks and Open All in Tabs. '''Just like paulbruster said. '''

  • ITS sessions in WebDynpro JAVA

    Hi experts
We are developing a WebDynpro JAVA application in WAS7.0.
In one view, we show a ITS page into iframe object. When open this page, in SAP transaction SM04 is showed the ITS session, but when we navigate back, to other page, or close navigator, the ITS remains open in SAP.
If we open the ITS page directly in navigator and close them, the ITS session disapears in SM04.
    Any idea to solve this?
    Thx for advice

    Hi
httpwatch is a tiny utility that allows us to monitor the http requests .
    you can get it here.
    www.httpwatch.com
Using this you will be able to understand when the Sessions are being logged off
    in both of your scenarios.

  • ITS Session.........

How do you kill a ITS session after exiting a browser?
Currently the service in SICF is setup for external access for our websites but when the use closes the browser the user session that's the service is logged into is still alive.  I've tried to use ~SINGLETRANSACTION = 1 but that doesn't seem to work since this isn't a webgui interface.

I don't see how the S2 would affect the parameter.  We have other themes we are using that don't contain numbers and it still doesn't disconnect.
The landscape of our website is not of the usual where a user automatically comes into the site starting up the SAP ITS session.  They start at the front end of the site then once a item is added to the basket it is then the SAP ITS session will start and they can go back to the front end to pick up more products to add.
I've tried it on another one of our website and it's still not working when they close the browser.  What occurs when the session timeout in the SICF is not set?  When will the session end?
    ~COOKIE     0
    ~SOURCES     ZW20
    ~DISCONNECTONCLOSE     1
    ~THEME     BN
    ~TRANSACTION     ZW20
    ~USERAGENTCHECK     0

  • SSO / Logon Ticket: Taking over ITS session

    Hi,
we have an serious SSO issue.
    <u><b>SCENARIO:</b></u>
<b>User A</b> logs in the portal and accesses SAP EBP via ITS (HTTP link within Enterprise Portal opening a new Browser Window and launching https://buyer.test.xxx.intranet.com/scripts/wgate/bbpstart/!). <b>User A</b> close the browser window where EBP is launched and logs off the Portal but does not close the browser window where the Portal was accessed. On the same client machine and same browser window <b>User B</b> logs in the Portal and access SAP EBP via ITS the same way the <b>user A</b> did before. If we now look at the users settings in SAP EBP ITS he has the user details from <b>User A</b>. Hence <b>User B</b> has the ITS session of <b>User A</b>. On the other hand within the Portal the users are recognized correctly after login.
    <u><b>SETUP:</b></u>
    Portal load-balancing.
    EP URL: https://portal.test.xxx.intranet.com
    ITS EBP URL: https://buyer.test.xxx.intranet.com
    <u><b>ISSUE:</b></u>
The SSO ticket should be killed after logging off the portal.
    System versions:
    6.0.2.33.0.Enterprise_Portal_Support_Package_2
    6.0.2.33.0.ContentManagement_Collaboration
    J2EE patch level 33
    ITS 6200.1017.50954.0, build 730827 (620 patch level 17)
    Regards,
    Adam Kreuschner

    Hi Adam,
it looks to me like the Portal SSO ticket is destroyed at logoff but not the EBP SSO ticket. This is a normal behavior within the portal, because SAP EP can only destroy its own session identifiers, not those created by third-party tools.
For your SP2 version there is a solution for this kind of problems as described in SAP Note 696294.
It describes how to set some UME properties in order to redirect at logoff to a special site. This should be a site that destroys the session of EBP (EBP Log-Off URL?!?).
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • ITS session timeout

I have a problem when someone closes out of a ITS session in the web browsers by using the “X” in the upper right hand corner of the browser there is an SAP session left hanging out there. If you go into transaction AL08 the session stays out there for hours. How do I get the session to timeout? Is this an SAP setting or an IIS web server setting?

    Hi Chris,
in ITS 6.20 you can set this by using service parameters (AKA ~ Parameters). These values are set in <itsroot>/6.20/<Instancename>/services folder. Either in global.srvc for all services or in <servicename>.srvc for one specific service.
~timeout => time (in minutes) of inactivity till the session is deleted
    not to mix up with
~usertimeout => time (in hours) till the log on cookie expires
    HTH

  • Often, Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted.

    Hello,
Often, the Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted. This happens especially when many apps are running but even though there are plenty of memory resources available.
I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
    System is Windows 7 (64bit).

well, it's not the same hardware and it's a bit different.
I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps

  • Why are all my tabs lost when I close my session?

Recently got a new computer and downloaded Firefox, but it isn't like the version I'm used to - there's no tab groups, and when I close my session I lose all the tabs I had open. I have Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox v 6.0.2 - is that the wrong version? Also, I tried to find a setting to save tabs in the Options menu, but didn't see anything.

Why in HELL didn't Firefox tell us about this ridiculous "new" way to restore previously opened tabs?? Good Lord, give us the info window again, or at least have the option to put a 'button' to click to restore.

  • BI under nw7.3

    Hello
I would like to install an BI system based on NW7.3
After starting sapinst from..51041560/DATA_UNITS/NW730_IM_HPUX_IA64_ORA I get options..
    Application server ABAP
    Process integration
    Application server java
    Standalone engines
    Additional SAP System instances
I wnder what is the right way to install  an BI system(first Application server ABAP
    then Application server java or?)
I started this way but did not yet encountered usage tyes etc like under nw7.0.
    Maybe it is somewhere described
Thank you in advance for any help

    Hello,
Since 7.01 it is recommended to install separate ABAP and Java instances, not Dual Stack.
So for ABAP, you start with AS ABAP and later you will have to apply BI_CONT component on top of this NW 7.3 ABAP system to make it a BW system.
    Refer another informational thread -

  • Integrated ITS : Session killed but memory still reserved

    Hi,
I'm a basis guy, new to portal technology.
Our users launch webdynpro  from EP6 Portal, the HTTP request our SAP ECC6  system (web as kernel 700) with integrated ITS. One of the user session has been lauchned yesterday, and was still running this morning that lead to a memory bottleneck. Because of that no more HTTP user was able to logon to the application server.
The user session has therefore been killed using transaction sm04, now the users ara able to reach again the server.
BUT, in transaction SITSPMON I can see that the memory session has not been entirely released, the ITS session still appear (without hte user name)
same thing in transaction ST02, where 80% of the extended memory is used with ... 3 users connected.
I have already checked sap note Note 742048 (- Integrated ITS, memory requirement in application server), our memory parameters doesn't seem to be the problem (em/global_area_MB  =1024 ).
My question : Is there an other way to kill an ITS session ?
How can I retrieve the used memory ?
Any useful help would be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards.

  • Deleted WLC from its folder under the Device work center of Cisco prime 1.2

I kindly need  your help as regarding cisco prime infrastructure.
I added the wireless LAN controller to the prime. I later had to troubleshoot the WLC because the reachability status showed UNREACHABLE.
Due to my troubleshooting, I synched the WLC a couples of times and the collection status has been showing SYNCHING since then.
I also tried deleting the WLC from its folder under device work center and it deleted but it still reflects under the ALL folder.
Please would I have to wait for the SYNCHRONIZATION of the WLC to stop before I can completely delete it and re-add??
Also I noticed that after deploying ''Interface Health'' under Monitoring Configurations, the CPU and memory utilization did not reflect for the devices cisco
    prime is managing.
    What have I missed out?
    Kindly help.

Prime Infrastructure won't support those legacy models.
