Closed firefox with my tabs still there and now when i open firefox my tabs are all missing

i had a lot of tabs opened i closed firefox and then when i next open firefox all my tabs are missing and the restore recently closed tabs is greyed out please help

Another way of opening the home page in a new tab is to middle click on the home button in the navigation toolbar.

Ok, i'm a boob, i was using firefox, hit some button inadvertantly and now when i double click to open it, it goes straight to minimized. Using 33.1.1 with windows xp.

Thank you for your advise. While your remedy does work to that end, i usually have my browser set to partial window rather than full screen, so I'd have to make an adjustment that way too. It used to come up into the partial screen, but now drops to the task bar upon opening. Or it opens full screen, if i set it to full screen before closing out my browser. I'm looking to have it open to partial screen like it used to. Any ideas?

In the past 48 hrs, all of a sudden, the New Tab feature on my PC< using Firefox 3.56, simply stopped working. I did not change settings, or download a new version of Firefox. it just stopped working. There are other scenarios where it does still work (for example, if I want to open a link on a web page, I can right click and open the link in a new tab), but if I simply want to have multiple websites open at once on my PC, I am forced to have multiple versions of Firefox open, as my New Tab option seems to be disabled or something. Try restarting Firefox, the one time page(s) after starting a new release should disappear. Actually this last time with 8.0 they did not come up for me.
If that doesn't work then bring up '''about:config''' and place the url of the page into the filter. Right-click on anything that comes up and use "Reset".

I dragged the Photo library icon from the backup drive on to iPhoto on the laptop
That means you imported one Library to another.
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
So the reason you're seeing small photos is because you're seeing the iPhoto thumbnails from the back up library.
So, what to do?
Do you still have the back up? If so, trash this bunged up library and restore from the back up again. HOw to restore will depend entirely on how you made the back up, but no version of restoring includes importing the library.
