how to change closed WIP job status to released.

If you are in the same period as you closed the job then go to Discrete Jobs>>Close Discrete Jobs Form>> Tools>> Unclose.
Once unclosed then you can change it to released.
If you are not in the same period, you cannot change the status.

Opportunity Closing Date - Upon Status Change, Retain Existing Closing Date

Hello,
When an Opportunity is set to Won or Cancelled, the system automatically updates the Closing Date to today's date (i.e., the date in which the Opportunity was changed to Won or Cancelled).
Does anyone know how to override this functionality? The requirement is to retain the existing Closing Date, and to NOT automatically set the Closing Date to today's date.
I cannot seem to find anything in config to override this functionality. I'm guessing I'll need to implement a BADI - just not sure which one...

In case anyone comes across this issue, here's how I resolved it:
In T-Code CRMV_EVENT, for Transaction Category BUS2000111 (i.e., Opty), Object Name STATUS, Event AFTER_CHANGE, and Attribute I1005, I specified my custom Function Module ZCRM_OPPORT_H_EXPECTEND_CMPD, which is simply a copy of the out-of-box Function Module CRM_OPPORT_H_EXPECTEND_CMPD_EC.
In my custom FM, I simply commented out the code that defaults the EXPECT_END date to today's date.
In addition, I had to make the following entry in table CRMC_FUNC_ASSIGN:
FUNC_NAM = ZCRM_OPPORT_H_EXPECTEND_CMPD
FUNCTION = CRM_OPPORT_H
An entry is required in table CRMC_FUNC_ASSIGN in order for t-code CRMV_EVENT to recognize the custom Function Module.

WIP Job Status Control at User Level

Hi All,
I need to give the user just the control of releasing the Job(Work Orders). Right now he has got OnHold/Cancelled also. What i have observed is after certain operations he has cancelled the job and it has incurred the cost. I looked at the lookup code but it has defined at the System level.
Could any one please help me on this, Need to do this ASAP.

Job application Status change

What if I submitted a job application and a few days later the job status changed to 'Closed' in Jobvite?
Have I missed my shot and they've already found someone? or do they only keep postings up for a pre determined period of time?
I just want to know if my app is still getting looked at since I applied when the job posting was still up a few days ago.

I have the same problem as amcphee, having applied to a job posting a while ago and now the status on jobhire is "closed".
Is there any other way to get in touch with someone from Spotify other than tweeting them? I don't have a twitter account and it seems they didn't reply to amcphee's request...

Enprise Job Costing Error: "No Closed Job Status Defined"

Hi All,
I upgraded a the JobCostging Add-on to: EnpriseJobCosting_800255. When they find the job > Invoicing Tab > Set Status to "Ready to Process" > Make to Stock > Enter Item Code and rest of Details > Click "OK" the following error occur: "No Closed Job Status Defined".
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP?

WIP Discrete Job status

Right now users are manually updating the status to Complete(irrespective of quantity complete of not). They want this process to be automated for the jobs after three days from scheduled start date, since they have so many in a day. For automation is there any available functionality or If write a custom program to update the status what other tables do i have to update other than wip_discrete_jobs?

How to update automatically a job status type to Complete - No Charges ?

Hello,
I'd like to update automatically (= no user intervention) jobs status type from "Complete" to "Complete - No Charges".
I've tried the Wip Mass Load program (using WIP_JOB_SCHEDULE_INTERFACE), but it didn't work because this program can only update jobs to Unreleased, Released, Complete, On Hold, or Cancelled.
Can anyone help me please ?

changing the status from "Complete" to "Complete - No Charges" without user intervation is not posssible,user has to assign it meaning that all resources have been charged,if there are any pending material transactions you can correct it & then assign this status.

The system doesn't "automatically" close jobs. The closest you can get is scheduling a concurrent request.
You chose the job status(es) to be closed. If you close a cancelled job, any charges are written off to variance per the wip accounting class.
Check page 3-90 in the most recent WIP manual.
Basically, the variances are posted in whatever period the job is closed in.
You may want to look at the cost manual for more information.

Also to add to the avinash reply the WIP job start date can be altered manually till the job is not closed. Its default today date when you are creating job manully. Based on the date start date giving and the routing assigned the end date for the job is calculated.

WIP JOB and period close

Wish to know the following.
1. If we have a job in cancelled status in WIP .If we close the period how this will be treated for closure. will the system automaically close the job and post the variance or it will keep the job in same status.
2. If we have a job in complete and complete - no charge . if we close the inventory period will the system willl close the jobs automatically . if not then how the variance will be computed for hte jobs

Service Order status change thro' Action

After completing billing, thro the action I am changing service order user status as completed. i hv written my code in class method.
After billing as action runs my code from method execute and changes the status properly and gets save into system but action status shows incorrectly processed and comes in red colour in action monitor. following is my code plz help me

Are you processing status codes out of sequence? Talk to your functional specialist or look at the status config for these documents...sounds like you're going to completed without first setting a status code that would have to be there prior to your status code...I seem to recall doing status changes for these documents that were a multi-step process...set TECO, then CLOSED or something like that?

actually if wip job is cancelled then sales order lines is on hold ?
i wanted to know what if sales order of that wip job item line is cancelled say example if that wip job already is in processing .

If WIP job cancelled or Requisition/PO is cancelled, corresponding order line reservation will be cleared and will go to 'Supply Eligible' Status. Progressing this line will again follow the WIP/Requisition path based on item.

User Status change problem in Process Order

Hi,
We are in process of upgrading our system from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. I have a problem with User status change for process Orders.
In 4.6C we are using the profile x with settings:
10     ZNEW     Created process order     10     90     1     1     ZSTA
20     ZLCK     Locked process order     20     90     1     1     ZREV
30     ZOPN     Reopened process order     20     90     1     1     ZOPN
40     ZMST     MES order started     20     90     1     1     ZMST
50     ZMCL     MES order closed     20     90     1     1     ZMCL
90     ZTEC     Technically completed      20     90     1     1     ZTEC
In ECC 6.0 we also use the same profile settings as above.
The problem is in ECC 6.0 when I do a goods receipt the User status changes to ZTEC . The process followed is ..Create process order, Release Order, Goods issue, Phase partuial confirmations, Goods receipt and then Finla confirmations of phases. Now in 4.6C if i do the above process the User status remains at ZMST and it only changes to ZTEC when i technically complete the order but in ECC 6.0 when I do a goods recipt from above steps the User status changes to ZTEC. THis should not happen.
Any pointers will be very helpful.

The log for production order preliminiary costing is not saved. Therefore, once the order is saved, there is no log available anymore (this is by the way a question of PP; none of the logs is saved).
