Closing /a tag not showing up

Hi guys
I was given this site to build, and as per usual with the
repeated elements i used SSIs. I noticed the footer text (the
address etc)was showing up as a link in firefox (but it should not
be) and so went investigating. It's picking up the link from the
above text "Download Documents" because the closing </a> on
the Download Documents links simply isnt there!
The whole right hand menu is an SSI, an the text is all
present and accounted for in the SSI itself. In IE it all shows
fine, cause IE is just ignoring the missing tag, but Firefox isnt,
hence it took me half a day to even notice.
Given that it all looks prefect in the SSI i am totally
confused...I can't think of any reason why the closing tag would be
chopped off.

Don't know if this will help, but...
I had a similar problem with a closing </p> tag being
stripped from a SSI. I
am hosting with Crystal Tech. They acknowledged the problem
but never fixed
it or explained why it was happening. Here is my workaround,
as I explained
it to Murray last December:
"It is clearly a Crystal Tech problem. There are actually 2
SSIs on that
page
and both end with "</p>" and in both cases "</p>"
is deleted/lost during the
Include. I found that by just adding a single space after
"</p>" so it now
reads "</p> " everything works and the paragraph is
properly closed. I
reported this to CT and they are looking into it."
Try adding a trailing space. It just might work.

People and Face Recognition tags not showing up under People page after converting to PSE11

Upgrade from PSE 10 to PSE 11
Beware, having just spent over 3 hours using the face tagging feature in Elements 11 (because it does not use people tags from earlier versions to populate the new People Tab). I can only say the result was less than useless. I now have over 1200 images tagged with the wrong people and multiple wrong people at that. And worse still the person that should have been tagged is not there at all!
I noticed that during the tagging process the image displayed to provide a name for is not the image when selecting full screen view - it actually displays another image. So my guess is it is not actually tagging the face you see but applying the tag to the image it actually thinks it is.
Therefore the result is utter garbage.... What a waste of time and effort. Not happy at all. When will Adobe release working software, hard lesson learned here.

Yes this is definately frustrating - what should be a simple process during the upgrade from 10 to 11 is a painful manual task to correct afterwards.
Okay I restored the catalogue which contained the original people tags. But because they were called named 'Family' they are not treated as People in People Tab. So I changed the name Family to People and then yes the images started to appear in the People Tab. But there are groups of people such as my wife and sons who are not imported into the People Tab because (I think) they are a sub level below me. So are ignored in People import process. Viewing images in Media View shows they are marked with a 'Group' icon but still these do not show up in People - Groups. The tags are shown when clicking 'Groups' but when selecting one shows the message 'no people exist in this group'. So how do i get them in? I can't find a way of changing the person concerned to have a non group tag like the other images that were recognised as people. I hope this makes sense.

Using Content Query webpart for specific Document library with multiple managed metadata - Document with multiple metadata tags not showing up

As I understand, you did not get the results with multiple metadata tags through Content Query web part in SharePoint 2013.
Check things below:
1. Check if you have set the item limit more than the display items in Presentation section of the web part. If the item number more than item limit, the rest items will not show.
2. Check if the item you cannot find uses the content type you have set in the content type section of content query web part.
When you edit the properties of the item, you will see the content type the item is using.

Video tags not showing

I've got a few video clips in iTunes that I tagged with titles, etc. I just got a new 60GB iPod and sync'd these clips along with a load of music. prior to that I used the 'Convert Selection for iPod' option.
the clips play OK but:
1) there's no title shown on the iPod; I have blank entries, which could be interesting in an iPod Shuffle kind of way, but that's not what I'm expecting.
2) I tagged music videos as, well, Music Video in get Info>Options, but they do not show up as such on the 'pod. instead they end up in 'Movies'.
3) I set iTunes to auto-sync a subset of my playlists, but I'm getting playlists on the 'pod that I did not select to auto-update. in those lists are a mix of audio and video selections, which show up regardless of the context (e.g. if I'm in the video section on the 'pod, I wouldn't expect to see music tracks shown in the playlist). iTunes seems to have had video capability sort of glued on.
I have not done the '5 Rs' since the iPod is brand new.

OK, thanks, this worked, although this causes an iPod to be disassociated from iTunes and you have to reload the whole thing. just a warning
For whatever reason some of my videos appear in iTunes, on the iPod and on the computer's disk with spaces in the titles (which show up as underscores on disk e.g. "M_a_n_i_t_o_ba"), but when I use Get Info and edit the name for example nothing changes, and the spaces are only visible in the summary of Get Info and in the thumbnail view in iTunes. This happened after using the iTunes "Convert selection for iPod" function, and the import step I just finished hasn't changed anything.
The workaround seems to type random trash into the name, title, album fields, save, then re-enter the correct info. Sheesh...

Google calendar event color tags not showing up in IPhone iCal - any fixes?

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1) and am trying to sync my google calendar to the built in iCal app. The events sync both ways, but the color tags I assign to each event does not sync. It used to bother me that the only way to color code events in google calendar was to create multiple calendars, but it seems as though google calendar has added the ability to change the color for each event so I'm going back to google calendar. For example, my classes are in blue, exams are in pink, meetings are turquoise, etc.
I synced my google calendar to the iPhone iCal (via settings, turned on calendar tab listed under gmail account that I use for my google calendar), and all the events sync correctly (can add events on google calendar or iPhone and it syncs), but the colors do not sync. When I view my iPhone iCal all the events from my google calendar are the same color, even if they have different color tags when viewed online. Also, when I add an event on the iPhone iCal, the event syncs to the google calendar but there is no option to change the color tag for the event and it shows up as the default grey color when viewed online.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is this something that google and apple have not resolved?
I would prefer not to use a third party app, but I might consider it if there is no other fix. Thanks!

Hello lulu and welcome to the Palm forums.
I don't know of a way to make the color codes from iCal sync with the color codes on the Palm Z22. The Missing Sync for Palm OS has more features than Palm Desktop, but I also don't believe it will sync the category color codes.

Tags not showing up in Dreaweaver cs5

Hello and thank yuo for reading my problem.
I'm working on my website and i came across this issue:
Dreamweaver cs5 ''disabled''? some of the tags, for example <video>, <source>, <media>, and a few others. The only tag witht he letter v is <var>, i have no idea what the issue could be. I tried adding the tag within a div, outside the surrent div and throughout different places within the layout but nothing does it.
Will anybody be able to help me? Thanks in advanced.

UPDATE:
You can forget converting the fonts, here is what really helps:
Move all of your fonts from your user library to your desktop (or whereever, just make sure to remember where), basically uninstalling all your fonts.
Then put the fonts that you need & miss in FLASH into this folder: Macintosh HD/System/Fonts
Enter your user password to confirm the movement of the files into the system folder.
Restart FLASH.
Now the formerly missing fonts should show up in FLASH.
When you're done with your Flash Project, you can delete the added fonts from the system folder and move your old fonts back to your user library in order to get your sytem back the way it was.
WARNING: Be careful while in the system folder, you don’t wanna make any mistakes there. ^^
SICK that adobe is not fixing this issue which is really hell hell hell. Hope this helps you guys in the meantime.

Background Color on Application tag not showing...

I just recently upgraded to the nightly build version # 4.0.0.10045 and the backgroundColor property on the main application tag is no longer rendering the background color. I noticed a new ApplicationSkin.mxml in the spark skins with the following:

However adding a backgroundColor property to the Application tag or in the CSS has not given any results.

Ok it turns out it is not the application tag causing problems, but the halo VBoxes, HBoxes and Viewstacks. It seems I can no longer apply background colors to them at all.

Is rendering with a white background behind it, obsucring the background color of my application. The backgroundColor style property is not getting applied at all.

Tags not showing in reports

Hey guys,
I've been working on Adobe Story on my Macbook Pro. I love the Auto-tagging feature that found most of my intended tags (and then some). I have also created a schedule and everything works just fine.
Except tagging from the script to schedule. The tags that are in the screenplay do not carry forward into the schedule. Nor do they show up in any reports generated from that schedule.
In the 'Strip Properties' menu, I can still see all the tags. What's even stranger is that some random tags (2-5 out of 120 pages) have shown up in the report.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong again?

Can you mail me your script and schedule so that I can have a better look at the issue and suggest you a proper fix or workaround ?
You can save these documents to disk through 'File > Save to Disk' option. It will create a '.stodc' file on your disk.
You can then mail me those stdoc files at roverma<at>adobe<dot>com

HT4613 Is it normal that closed captions do not show in the trailers and other promos, even if they are present in the movie? I don't want to pay to rent a movie that supposedly has CC if it doesn't show up on the samples.

I want to rent some iTunes movies with closed captions, but in order to confirm that the CCs work, tried watching the trailers first. I have CCs enabled on the iPod touch, but no captions showed up on the trailers or promos. Is this normal? Can I be sure that if a movie is marked with CCs, that they will be there if I rent it? Thanks.

Unfortunately you will likely end up implementing either a totally manual system (meaning you just add a line at the top of your topic with your breadcrumb trail as you wish to display it, then link as needed) or you will have to resort to some third party solution that isn't part of RoboHelp's features.
You might also take a moment and suggest to the RoboHelp development team that we need some flexibility with this aspect. (Link is in my sig)

Placeholder tag not showing images

I've created a placeholder in Weblogic Workshop and my images (stored in the virtual
content repository) show up fine in the content preview window. If I then use
that placeholder in a jsp nothing shows. Has anyone else seen this? Is there some
key I'm missing to tying the tag to a placeholder?

Are there any exceptions in the server console window?
Do you have /ShowDoc in the webapp mapped to ShowPropertyServlet (check
WEB-INF/web.xml -- portal projects should automatically have this)?
What's your jsp look like?
What's the resulting HTML look like?

JSP include tag not showing page content

Below is my code for a JSP page that uses JSP:include tag to include footer.jsp. The footer page does not display on show_email_entry.jsp. The error I am getting is variable emailAddress cannot be resolved. What am I doing wrong?

From the [url http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/syntax/2.0/syntaxref20.html] reference page:
Include Directive : Includes a resource of text or code when the JSP page is translated.
<jsp:include>
Includes a static resource or the result from another web component
(italic emphasis is mine)
Basically the @include directive is like "copy and paste this file into the JSP and then compile"
jsp:include is "run this web page, and add the result of that to my current response"
So jsp:include can only include complete standalone JSPs.
Do you see now why it would throw an error message with your example?

Tags not showing in iTunes

I just purchased a iPod and I am using iTunes. When I add the folder where my mp3 files are stored to iTunes, none of the tags carry over for mp3 files that I have modified with the "edit tag" feature of my catalog progam Collector MP3. In iTunes, if I click on Info for the file, it shows that there is no tag information. However, the tags look fine when viewed in Collector MP3 which indicates that the tag version is ID3V2.3.

Make sure your tags are V2.3, and remove any V1.x tags from the files. As long as the your don't move or rename the files, then iTunes should pick up the new settings the next time it tries to play the song or display the album art.
If Dr. Tag won't take the v1.x tags out, then try ID3-TagIt.

Explicit tag not showing

I've just published my first podcast episode on iTunes. I tagged the episode as explicit 'yes' as it contained swearing, but at podcast level (channel level I think) I tagged it as 'no' as it's quite possible there may be no swearing in future episodes.
I tested the feed in iTunes prior to submitting it and it looked fine - the Explicit tag was shown next to the episode.
However, the episode has now been published on iTunes but the Explicit tag has disappeared. Any idea what's going on? Do I have to set the Explicit tag to 'yes' at channel level too?

Gah! Yes, I changed it to Explicit in Feedburner, since I really don't want it to get taken down. I just changed it back in Feedburner, since I don't want everything to get flagged as explicit, either!
I have left the coding in blogger the same, which has the <itunes:explicit>yes tag in it. Can you see that, or is it getting overwritten somehow?

Why is Closed Captioning (CC) not showing in rented movies on ATV3?

I have rented several movies in SD and HD from the German iTunes Store through my Apple TV. All of them were advertised to have CC in English. Watching the movie, I can switch between the German and English audio tracks. But the is no option to turn on the CC subtitles. By the way, I do have switched on both subtitles and CC in the general ATV settings.
Have I missed anything?
Has iTunes mis-labled the movies and they don't come with CC?

Well, normally movies from the iTunes Store don't include such feature. Despite that, sometimes you'll find a few movies with CC and/or Subtitles...
Definitely all this rules are imposed by the Studios and not by Apple! However, you may want to leave feedback for Apple, by using [this link|http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html].

I have "Explicit" song tags in iTunes, but they (the tags, not the songs) are not showing up on my iPhone.

I recently found a way to add the "EXPLICIT" tag to songs in my iTunes Library (using Subler), and just presumed that the tags were not showing up in my iPhone Music because the phone simply did not have the function to display them.
However, after updating to iOS 7, and seeing every song I have ever purchased, I noticed that the iPhone can indeed show whether songs are explicit or not (by marking them with a letter 'E').
Therefore I am just wondering why I can see whether songs are explicit on my Mac, yet not on my iPhone. I have tried removing the songs from my iTunes Library, syncing to remove them from my phone, re-adding them to my Library, and then re-syncing to put them back onto my phone, and the explicit tag still does not show up.
Please can you help me resolve this.

If you are syncing your contacts from your PC with iCloud, they are not transferred to your phone using iTunes. They are synced to your phone using iCloud, either over wifi or your cellular data network.
First go to icloud.com with your computer browser, sign into your account and open Contacts there to confirm that your contacts appear. If they do, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, sign into your account and turn Contact on. Assuming your phone is either connected to wifi or your cellular data network, the contacts should then download from iCloud to your phone.
