Closing cockpit FLOw definition

Hi all,
I am having a problem with CLOCOC flow definitions. On each task of the flow there is an option to send email to someone if the job has errors. I have spent some time on this and have not been able to get it to work. Has anyone got this working and, if so, how?
And can i know whether is it possible to send mail when the Job runned successfully?
Thanks and Regards,
Vidyasagar Reddy.

The spool should show you that the task ended either with/without errors according to the Light .
However in your case You said that the task is just active and is not completed ? Is that what your question.
Because when the task is added to the template .. and when the task is executed , It goes to the screen when the project is not executed on Background.
Please give more clarification on this issue. Try switching into Timing mode so that you will understand as to what time , the task has been executed/not executed.
Best Regards,
YGB

  • Closing Cockpit/Scheduler Manager Flow Definition

    Hello,
I am having a problem with CLOCOC flow definitions. I created a flow definition that sends notifications in case of a task is overdue but I need to access the information of the task, namely the person responsible to know who to send the email.
The problem to do this is that the workflow container doesnu2019t have the info from the task required it only has the WF Initiator. Anyone know a way to work around this problem and get the person responsible for the task?
    Best regards,
    Ricardo Candeias

    Hello,
Normally for a workflow you would look in the Workflow Builder to see if the agent is assigned using a container element.
Then use that same container element for the mail.

  • Flow definition

    Hi!
I want to build a flow definition in closing cockpit with two customer reports. So I registered the 2 reports for cc and created the flow definition with two reports with variant.
When I schedule the task I always get status cancelled. If I debug the job in sm37 I can see that only the first report was executed. What did I miss here? Do I have to set something in the binding?
Do I have to do the following in the coding or is this just for the status icon:

I am trying to configure the closing cockpit.  Is it possible to start a job that has already been defined? or does a flow definition need to be defined?

Thank you for you input.  However, I need some clearficiation.  I have created in the job in Schedule manager (SM37)  However, I want the job to run after a specified task in the closing cockpit.  Is there a way to start the job in schedule manager from a task in the closing cockpit? Ideally I would like to click on a task in the closing cockpit and it start the job in schedule manager.  Is that possible?

  • Information on closing cockpit implementation

    Hello SAP Gurus,
Please help me on the following questions,
How can CPS be best used in Closing Cockpit?
How should the type of task be decided?
What the scenarios where Flow definition can be used?
Does the functioning of closing cockpit will be affected by the decision on the type of task been used?
Can you also share the experience in implementing closing cockpit and challenges faced?

  • Closing cockpit, Schedule Manager

    Howdy,
I have experience with Schedule Manager (SCMA) in a 4.7 environment.  I noticed it’s still available in ECC6.0.  In ECC6.0 is it necessary to have the New GL active to implement the Close Cockpit(CLOCOC)?  Is it possible to implement the Close Cockpit without the New GL active?  Is it possible to migrate Schedule Manager elements like flow definitions and tasks to the Close Cockpit?  Any opinions using  CLOCOC v.s. SCMA?  Thanks in advance!
    Bill

    Hi,
Yes I have implemented SCMA.  My question is on the Close Cockpit(CLOCOC).  Can CLOCOC be implemented without the New GL?  The reason I ask is that we just upgraded to ECC6.0 and have not implemented the new GL.  I cannot find the tcode CLOCOC in any menu area - including SPRO.
    Thanks
    Bill

    Create the basic template data
Build the closing template hierarchy structure
    Configure individual tasks
Change the template to an executable task list
For delivering the Closing Cockpit successfully, you need to have a clear understanding of the current closing routines, the required tasks, who is responsible for each task, which tasks when executed should affect which level of the organization, and finally a clear process for review and documentation.

  • BPMon: Closing Cockpit Monitoring in R/3 system.

    Hi all,
In our R/3 system, we are using functionality called Closing Cockpit. It's a standard SAP set of  transaction codes that allow the creation, execution and basic monitoring of a schedule of  SAP activities by setting sequences, timings and people responsible for each of the activities. These tasks are executed via the cockpit so all tasks can be monitored for completion
I don't see any reference in the standard list of key figures for BPMon which would allow the results of these monitors to be brought into Solution Manager and monitored from there along with our other monitors. Is it possible to use BPMon to monitor Closing Cockpit in this way?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello John,
there is no integration between Closing Cockpit tasks and BPMon. There are currently also no plans to work towards an integration into this direction. What was integrated is Financial Closing cockpit and SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood. I think I already shared some slides on this last year during our joint workshop.

  • Schedule Manager (add Tcode to Flow Definition step)

    Hello together,
I have got a problem with the schedule manager ("scma").
I would like to add the Tcode cja1 (Project-Related Incoming Orders) alternatively the program "SAPLKAZB" to a flow definition step with a variant. But the program "SAPLKAZB" is used for more tcodes than "cja1".
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetings,
    Peter

    Hello,
The Program 'SAPLKAZB' cannot be added to the flow definition step since its  function pool and not an executable program due to which you wont be able to execute it.
So its better the transaction 'CJA1' can be added to flow definition step and no alternative for program with varaint coz it wont work.
    Regards,
    Mansi.

  • Schedule manager -Programs for flow definition

    Dear SAP experts
I would like to know which programs can be run using flow definition?
can i add new programs like vendor display line item program RFITEMAP. and have email of item periodically to certain users.
Tell me how selection variables TVARV , STVARV functionality will be used for this.
    Thanks
    S AP

    Hi,
For enhancing the standard SAP program like RFITEMAP, you should check for proper exists.  It will be usually in the form of Z-Include.  U can get the ABAPer help on this.
TVARV - Table of variables in selection criteria i.e it helps in holding the variant variables.  To manipulate the variant vairbales, you can use this table

  • ECC 6.0 Closing Cockpit Functionaility

    Hi,
We plan to use the Closing Cockpit functionality of ECC 6.0 for Period-end closing.
How does the Closing Cockpit help in period-end closing activities?
Is the following possible using the Closing Cockpit functionality?
    1. Can standard period-end SAP transactions including recurring entries, Period-end assessments / distributions  be automatically executed?
    2. Does this help only in Scheduling the period-end activities?
    Regards,
    R.Rajaraman

    R.
    1.  Yes.  Similar to the previous solution (Schedule Manager), the closing cockpit allows you to create task plans that include various tcodes or programs.  You can add KSU5, KSV5, and any others that you want.
    2.  It helps in scheduling.  You can establish relationship between the programs (finish-start relationships).  But I think the bigger help is in monitoring the entire close process...  you'll be able to view in a timeline format all of the steps that you've defined and what their current status is.  This is particularly helpful where some of those steps are executed de-centrally.

  • Selection variable for next month in RFPERIOD_OPEN in closing cockpit

    Hi,
we would like to use RFPERIOD_OPEN in the closing cockpit in order to open the next period on D-10 automatically. I would like to use the selection variables of the closing cockpit in the program variant in order to avoid unnecessary variant maintenance every month.
Unfortunately I cannot find a variable for the next month. There is only SAP_FAST_CLOSE_PERIOD_P. Do you know if it is possible to base a calculation logic to derive the next period from SAP_FAST_CLOSE_PERIOD_P.
    Thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Mariya

Thanks! I checked it, but the appearance of months and order is okay in T247.
    Any other ideas?
I thought I read somewhere that this is a bug but can´t remember where I found that bug hint.

  • Closing Cockpit

    Hello everyone,
Can you add a task to a template on the closing cockpit once it has been released? If so, how do you it?
    Thanks .

From what I read from the link I sent you and the little test I carried out, this is how to proceed.
    1. T.code: CLOCO
    2. Click on Edit --> Display --> Change
    3. Then click on Template/Task List on the menu bar
    4. Click on import closing cockpit and select your template/task list
    5. Now right click on the folder where you want to add new tasks and create it from there.
    Hopes this helps.
