Closing Safari with several pages open

Just a minor annoyance. This seems to come and go. Some updates cure it and some cause it... When I try to close Safari with more than one tab open; it hangs for about 10 seconds to think and then closes. Would anyone have an idea (short of reseting Safari) on how to speed this up? Thanks!

Sorry not to reply earlier. I haven't had much time on this machine due to work and other commitments. - I have been using the Lion 10.7.3 upgrade for a couple of months now. Not sure whether I like it too much. Other problems are cropping up such as being unable to use iphoto. I suppose I'll have to upgrade that as well. More expense.

How Do I Launch Safari with Multiple Tabs Open to Specific Pages?

I'd like a Windows shortcut that opens Safari with multiple tabs open to specific pages. With other browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome, etc.), this is easily done by composing a command line that lists all desired URLs. However, Safari doesn't seem to use the same command line syntax as other browsers. Furthermore, I can't find Safari's command line syntax documented anywhere. From the comments I've seen while researching this question, I suspect this is a neglected area of Safari development, and that Safari simply can't be configured to open multiple pages. However, I'd like to make sure. Can it?

It strikes me that it should be possible to do that (or something similar) by building a safari extension, TC. Both Sessions and SafariRestore are able to launch multiple tabs from a previous session, so it seems like you should be able to create an extension that launches multiple tabs open to specific sites when Safari is launched.

When I click on the - fire fox disappears from the task bar; it is still open but gone from the task bar, if I click on any icon it opens a new Firefox window, I end up with several windows open but none on the task bar.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Problem in PS5(11.1.1.6) with jspx page opening as popup

I am trying to open a jspx page which contains af:table in a new window. Each time I open the window I am closing the window. After 3rd attempt the page is hanging to load the page.
I was able to produce this issue in IE7, IE8 and IE9 but not firefox. In IE7, I was able to reproduce this issue in 3rd attempt but in IE9 it does happen after 7th or 8th attempt. Currently an SR is opened with Oracle Support.
Any help will be appreciated.
Version: PS5-11.1.1.6
Integrated Weblogic Domain.
This problem is not happening in PS4 (11.1.1.5).
Steps:
1. Create an ADF application with Jspx page and add a table. Open the page from html using a href tag with target="_blank".
2. open the jspx page by clicking on the link in a new window. Close the popup window
3. Repeat step 2. In IE7 3rd attempt the page will be keep on looping trying to render the page

I would like to step back and would like to explain some details about the requirement.
The original requirement is to integrate this application with one of our legacy application which uses jsp and html. We open webcenter portal page as a new window from the legacy application using javascript window.location. The business requirement is to keep the legacy page open and process the use case in webcenter portal page which contains table and popup components. So, the users of the legacy application will open the page in new window and as they complete each use case they close the browser and again open with new use case.
Everything was perfectly working till we started all our applications to PS5. We started seeing above problem.
I was able to narrow down the problem and found that the issue is causing because of using table and popup component on the page.
oracle support just confirmed that this is happening only in PS5 and not in PS6.

PSE 8: How to create a pdf with several pages?

I want to deliver DINA4-Sheets (thats bacic European standard size of a sheet of paper for let's say writing an official letter) to print out in a copy-shop. Now the copy-shop-owner says, for him it will be much easier if I hand in my 10-20 pages in one pdf-file with 10-20 pages and not 10-20 single-paged pdf-files, cause then he only needs to do the colour-routines and adjustings once and not many times. Now there is the problem, in Elements 8 there is the option to save a psd as a pdf-file, but I don't know how to add the other files and make a pdf with more pages than just one. May be I need to do that with Scribus, a freeware prog.

Your answer just proved extremely helpful. It worked that way. I first created a pse-file in the right document size. Then with copy and paste I imported the first page and flattened it to one layer. Then I chose to create the second pse-page, that shows automatically in the menue then with the pse-file open. Into the second page again with copy and paste I imported the second single sheet and flattened the second page too to one layer and so on. That way it works. Finally I first save in the pse-file and then save the whole thing as pdf.

(When I have several pages open, if I move the cursor over a firefox page it automatically takes me there.

When I have a Firefox page open filling the screen, and open an IE page in a smaller form, when my cursor happens to go over the Firefox page, the IE page is minimized.

How to print a Vbox container with several pages

I need to print a Vbox container that contains severval pages
of content with .5 inch margins and a footer with the page number.
The content is created from htmlText coming from several reccords
in a MySQL table. I have been able to print the content using
FlexPrintJob across multiple pages, but the print fills the entire
page with no margins and the footer only on the last page. How can
I best do this?

I had a similar issue, here are some tips:
Check Flex's example for printing a PrintDataGrid in mulitple
pages (

will give you an idea of how to handle the footer and the header.
Now about the margins you will have to do it manually, i

Before, when i closed Firefox with multiple tabs open, it prompted me and asked if I wanted to return to these tabs the next time. When i downloaded the new Firefox, i can't do that anymore. Is there an add-on to make that happen?

I recently updated Firefox on my desktop and laptop. Before, when i closed Firefox, a window would open and ask me if i wanted to return to the same group of URL location tabs the next time i opened Firefox.

How can I combine separate pdf documents into one document with several pages

I have been using Preview to separate pdf pages into separate pdf documents. How might I do the reverse. Preview appears to have combined the documents in the thumbnail, but will not allow saving this. It just saves the highlighted page.

Open all the documents. Choose View > Contact Sheet. All the pages will be shown as thumbnails, separated by document. Select the pages you want in the final document and drag them into the desired order, in one document space.

Several Issue: Stale Data Error with 2 pages opened at same time

Hello Gurus,
I developed an OAF page to create and also update records. My page, depending from the operation, can show the data on fields, for update, or blank, on case to create records. This page contains one LOV field, input fields and textarea field to get the data.
When i try record or update using one page per time, the LOV field works fine and records are uptodated with success.
But if i use 2 pages or more in these situations:
- one page is opened in update operation;
- another page to create a new record.
Issue: When i click to change the LOV field value on create page, or update page, the Lov pop-up is opened with success, but when i click in another value, i get this error below. Any action also can cause this error, like click on Back Button (with name 'Voltar', created by me). Please see the error below:

Can you please tell, if you are using the same EO/VO combination for both the operation - Insert and Update on both screens.
Quite possible, that when you open two screen in say Update Mode and you open the two List Of Values, then as soon as you have selected the value in one of the LOV, the Other LOV will throw you stale data as the same VO/EO is being used.
Try using two different EOs/VOs combination and see if that helps.

Error when saving a modification or just closing Acrobat with a pdf open.

When i open any pdf file the I have (tried over 50) and try to close the file with or without modifying it, I receive an error with the following Error information.
Then i receive a Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library error with Acrobat.exe and 'R6025 - pure function call' as the error code.
Next this other window pops up saying there is an unknown software exception.
I have reported this bug to Adobe, but would appreciate any assistance.

I have some additional info but nothing really good.
If you click the Save in the left side of the Ribbon then it looks like that is when you get the message. If you click the Save in the top right corner you won't get the message. They must be calling different saving functions.
There really is no way around it other than making the field optional which probably removes some server side validation checks causing that message.
We've chosen to remove that field from the page as I needed it required, then they can't publish the page until they go to the properties and set the article date. By removing the field from the page layout the message goes away.
I hope MS will fix this at some point.

Firefox will not open any page but I have no trouble with the pages opening with explorer

unable to connect to any page through firefox but can open all with internet explorer, why can't firefox open them. It can not be my connection or my network because I can still open with explorer and nothing has changed with my computer. Please help I really like to use firefox
