Closing tabs with mousewheel creates a blank page and a ghost tab
This is not a problem that affects usability or prevents me from doing something, but it feels like the tabs are broken.
Every time I close a tab that is not empty it will create a "ghost" tab on the tab bar. I have attached an image that shows that "ghost tab". It will go away when I move my mouse away from the tab bar.
Sometimes it will make my browser window blank as if I had opened a new tab, and that doesn't go away until I select another tab.
I have had this problem for a while now and I have restarted my computer a couple of times, as well as just restarted Firefox. None of these have removed this issue. I have Firefox version 36.0.1 (just updated about 5-10 minutes ago), so it doesn't seem like it has been fixed.
Does anyone else have this kind of issue? I'm not finding anyone on Google complaining about it, although it's not really something that would need to be complained about since it doesn't really affect usability. Just thought of submitting this if it were a bug.
Note that this can be default behavior if you close (multiple) tabs to ensure that close buttons stay in the same position.
As long as you have focus on the tab bar tabs should close and tabs to the left should be consistent.
If you move focus from the Tab bar then the tab bar is redrawn.
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

Creating a template in Pages is straight-forward as answered here previously. Is there an equivalent for iBooks Author which can start with a blank page and build up the template as required? or can one only adapt a ready made template? This has proved unsatisfactory to me so far. Lines are left in etc.
There are two basic menus for fonts - one from the main menu bar and one from the toolbar. You can also bring up the font manage dialog.
I don't recommend trying to hard to force an otherwise foreign font, as it inevitably needs to be usable/supported on iOS as well, and that can get tricky w/3rd party fonts, as an example, even with the expanded font support in the latest iBA.
If you need to discuss fonts more, I suggest starting a new thread....preferably with a slightly more brief title, thanks. -
I noticed when I restart Firefox 4, it opens my previous tabs even I set the option "Open a blank page" and it opens blank page when I have "Show my windows and tabs from last time". Please ignore my question if you're already aware of this issue. Thanks.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles.<br /><br />

When I open safari, I get a blank page and the beach ball. If I try to go to a website, it will load up to a certain point sometimes—the .com of www.facebook.com for instance—but other times, nothing at all.
I've fixed this once before by deleting some files in the library folder—extensions & preferences I believe—and choosing not to have plug-ins selected, then restarting the whole computer—rather than just safari. It will work fine for a day, or maybe 3 at the most, before I have to repeat the process all over again. I'm sure it's because I usually put plug-ins back on once I get it to work, because you can't really use the internet without using plug-ins. But I'm using Chrome right now, as I do when I'm too lazy or too in a rush to try the whole process of getting safari to work again, and I don't have a single issue with it.
My question is really, what plug-in could cause this to happen repeatedly? It's not like I'm going to websites that may have malware on them. I spend most of my day going to some of the most visited websites on the internet.
Is there a known bug out there, because Java has been overrunning concurrently with this happening. It's CPU % runs around 100. I quit the process, but it doesn't change anything. So, other than the fan turning on, I have not had any popup telling me that safari has crashed, that I'm not connected to the internet, or that something went horribly, horribly wrong. I'm pretty sure Safari things it's running fine, but it's not.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Step 1
Copy or drag — do not type — the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:

Step 5

Remember, steps 1-5 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
You can then quit Terminal. -
Site Collections shows a blank page and sometimes doesnt show anything
We are having this issue, it happens sometimes and sometimes not.
With the site collection, it shows sometimes that the page cannot be found and a subsite sometimes shows a blank page instead of the site. I saw this article that describes the issue and it is regarding the authentication method, what else can be?

According to your description, my understanding is that your site collection sometimes got a blank page and sometimes didn't.
Whether you have configured AAM (Alternate Access Mappings) for your web application. If yes, please check your process. You can refer to the link:

How to suppress blank page and selection criteria in SPOOL ?
My Z program submits two programs to spool and converts the ABAP List in the spool to PDF and emails.
After upgrade to ECC6, the first (a report painter report) resulting PDF there was one blank page and the contents were displayed on second page. For the second report (RKPEP003 - CJI3) the selection criteria that the report used was printed as the first page of output and the result on a subsequent page. The same thing happens when I individually execute these two reports directly in SE38 with the same selection criteria. I believe the blank page is there in the spool because when I view the spool as a RAW, there is a P in the first column, however the spool shows that there is only one page in the first and two in the second (this is true - one for selection criteria "which I don't want" and then the actual content). In 46C, when I look at the RAW view of the spool there is no additional P's in the first column.
I do not want to have the blank page on the first report and the selection criteria listed on the output of the report. How can I do that ? I am thinking get_print_parameters can in someway get me there, but I am not sure.

Why don't the options to not check if Firefox is the default browser, set the homepage to a blank page, and password settings hold? It opens to a firefox page and asks if I want to make firefox the default and has the checkbox checked to check for default with every launching.

Usually the browser will take the user to info pages when a click on blue text is done. My browser just opens a blank page and has "search history and bookmarks and then just sits there. I can change that so it will do nothing and the message is "type a web address". It used to work fine. How can I fix this.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
