Closing the smartcover does not lock/unlock my ipad
My smartcover does not activate lock/unlock any more
Yes, that's the first thing I checked. Now I have reset the iPad, checked that software is up to date, turned off/on and still the same. Closing the cover has no effect. Wonder what else it could be?

The phone does not lock up when entering PIN code
This morning my Z1 Compact wanted me to enter the PIN code: I did so but the only thing that happened was that the text "Enter PIN code" disappeared. But I was still at the same page. It seems to have stuck or freezed. Tried to remove and reset the SIM card, called the operator who says there´s nothing wrong with the SIM card. tried to force restart with and without the SIM card. I can't get pass that starting page.
The funny thing is that on the "mssage board" or whatever it is called at the top of the phone is updating when I got a message, mail, updates etc. But I can not scroll down and see them in detail.You may want to consider running a software repair
Fully switch off your phone and make sure it is disconnected from your Pc then start PC Compannion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue select Repair my phone /tablet and follow the onscreen instructions and when prompted making sure your phone is still switched off hold Volume down and connect your USB cable which should enter your phone into flashmode and start the repair process

Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears
To stop the message:
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Backup Now
iCloud Backup will run automatically on a daily basis if:
- it is plugged into a power source
- it is connected to Wi-Fi
- the screen is locked -

before i do updates for my iphone (to 5.0.1) i close my SIM card, i can not complete the update proccess becouse SIM is closed also i can not activate iPhone becouse the SIM must be opened. when i try to open it , the networks does not appear (no service).
Its a serious problem and many people are facing the same issue on both locked and factory unlocked phones.
I wonder when Apple will address to this issue. After all it is losing all its reputation!

My iphone4s (iso5.1) does not lock the screen automatically with the condition in charging and playing music.
System has been set to lock the screen in 1 mins.
Everything goes fine when not in charging, the system can lock well even playing music.
System can lock as well when all the music playing apps are closed, even when charging.
I don't think that's my apps' problem, all my music playing apps have the same problem.
My ipod has the exact same problem described above, I believe that's an iso system bug.It's not something i'm familar with but i will forward it internally for investigation. Could you please send me a PM with the IMEI of your phone and the build number? You can find these under Settings -> About phone and Settings -> About phone -> Status.

I cannot unlock my phone. When I hit the number the key is highlighted but the "dot" does not show in the passcode box. Have shut it off and restarted nothing. Held on/off and "square" key to reset but still nothing. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue
Connect to iTunes and try to reset it from there.

Apple iPAD 2. Needs password to unlock iPAD; however there is a permanent keyboard displayed on the screen that does not respond to touch. iPAD switches on with button but does not turn off using it at moment. Can you help please?
Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears. See if that clears the glitch.

in iTunes 11.1 (I26) , I cannot find how to delete podcast listings showing undownloaded podcasts. Delete does not work. Option Delete does not work. Dragging to the trash does not work. Under Edit, Delete is greyed out. Mac OS 10.6.8.
Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.

Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.
