Cloud/Illustrator CC + Extension Manager problem
Hi, I signed up for Cloud yesterday then downloaded Illustrator, but Adobe Extension Manager only shows older versions of Photoshop & Illustrator (CS5). Can anyone help?

I ran the report and a portion is included below. Not sure what the results mean -- did it find Extension Manager and Flash Builder? If it DID find two of the products, the implication is that the paths weren't changed/renamed? If I can query the PCD, can I also alter/fix the PCD? What is the remedy for the problem?

I'm a newbie at this. Just downloaded extension manager. Then
open it to go to exchange and downloaded a plug in.
Plug in is on hard drive, but not in extension manager.

noticed that Extension Manager requires that each app (Flash,
Dreamweaver, etc.) be running before it can see it and therefore
install an extension. Is this normal behavior now? It certainly
wasn't the case in MX2004. I also remember in the past that
installing an extension while an app was running could cause
problems?I can easily install extensions with only the Extension
Manager open in
Studio 8. Are you saying the app isn't showing up in the
dropdown of the
EM? Did you install Studio 8 apps in their default locations?

Macromedia Extension Manager Problems on Vista
Hi, I'm experiencing a problem in using the macromedia
extension manager 1.7. When I run the application, the windows
prompted me that my Kernel Files dont work or are missing. when i
tried to reinstall the application, the windows prompted me that
there was an error accessing the macromedia_extension_manager.msi
file and it stops the installation. Curse this Windows Vista!!!!

not mentioned ..
therefore, I am assuming that perhaps Vista is not supported.
I would
assume you have DW 8 .. I don't know if DW8 will run on EM
1.8 or not, but
that is the EM on which I see Vista mentioned in the system
requirements, so
perhaps that version is necessary.
Sorry I can't help more but I don't have Vista .. and the
more I hear, the
more I think I will probably not have it any time soon!

Adobe Extension Manager Problem
Hi all
I'm trying to install the lorem and mnore extension for Dreamweaver CC. I have installed the adobe extension manager cc and downloaded the lorem and more extension to my desktop, but when I click on it it dosen't install. If I click on file in the aem and try to install the extension this way, my documents window opens but the file type is a .mxp and the file type that shows is a .zxp.
So do I need to convert the .mxp to a .zxp, if so why does it download from the extension exchange site as a .mxpYes, you have to use Extension Manager CS6 to convert it to ZXP extension. If you don't have Extension Manager CS6 installed, you can get it from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html.
I think you should have downloaded it from the old Exchange Classic website. All extensions in the new Adobe Exchange are ZXP extensions. -
Creative Cloud - Illustrator and Application Manager
I have purchased an anuual subsrciption to Creative Cloud. I alreayd have Photoshop installed and that appears to be working. In trying to install other programs for use such as Illustrator, I am getting an error message when Application Manager launches. See images of the messages below.

Using InDesign cs6, the extentions manger is saying it needs updated. When I select update now it opens the Adobe application manager. What now? There is no reference to the extensions manager in the window.
tallmaniam_79, I figured it out, however it is NOT intuitive and CS6 does not update automatically...
In the Adobe app, such as your InDesign CS6, or in my example in using Illustrator CS6, go to Help menu, and choose Updates… It will launch the Application Manager, and start the update process...
This will now update the Extensions Manager (in my case it updated it to 6.0.4.8)
When I relaunched Illustrator, the Extensions Manager Panel no longer shows the yellow YIELD sign.

Guten Abend Community, erst einmal bin ich neu hier und leider auch hier, da ich ein Problem habe welches ich einfach nicht gelöst bekomme.
Ich musste mein System kommplett neu Installieren und habe anschließend Adobe Web Premium 5 Installiert was auch ohne Probleme Funktioniert, anschließend habe ich die Updates durcheführt welches auch fast ohne Probleme läuft qalle anderen Updates wurden Installiert bis auf die in der fehlermeldung. was kann ich da machen damit das nicht mehr auftritt ?
PS: Davor ging das auch problemlos, das System habe ich erst vor 3 Tagen neu Aufgesetzt.

Wenn noch fragen offen sind einfach fragen, ich würde gerne das Problem so schnell wie möglich lösen....Ja wie gesagt es hat davor auch ohne Probleme Funktioniert nur war ich gezwungen das System neu zu Installieren und ab dann konnte ich die da oben genannten Updates nicht mehr Installieren. Ein Mac ist zwar eine schöne Sache kommt aber für mich nie in Frage da ich mein PC als Arbeitsrechner und Gamer Rechner nutze und das meiste läuft halt nicht auf einen Mac und man müsste manche Programme neu Kaufen, das sehe ich überhaupt nicht ein, und meine Anwendungen werden aus Prinzipien nicht für Apple Produkte entwickelt da verdient man kaum etwas... aber das muss jeder für sich entscheiden. An eine neue Version habe ich eventuell nächstes Jahr gedacht aber auch nur die CS6 ob man das brauch ist die Frage da CS 5 genau macht was es soll. Das Modell mit der Adobe Cloud hat zwar denn Vorteil das die Programme Aktuell sind aber man muss Monatlich dafür Zahlen und CS5/CS6 oder älter brauch man nur einmal Kaufen. Darüber hinaus finde ich eh das Adobe so eine richtige S*** ist wenn es um Support ältere Programme geht so zeigt Adobe meiner Meinung nach das Ihre Produkte nichts wert sind zumindest macht es den Anschein. Aber wie gesagt, bin ich hier um Hilfe zu bekommen um das Problem zu lösen ohne ein neue Version zu kaufen, das ist ja bekanntlich die einfachste Lösung, aber wenn Informatiker auch so denken würden dann würde es sehr schlecht aussehen... und als Anmerkung am Rande, es wäre ja nett wenn man mir denn Link dieser Updates zukommen lassen könnte um die Updates Manuell zu Installieren.

Dies kann man in voraus natürlich nicht aber in nachhinein geht das und Software Entwickler denn etwas an Ihre Produkte liegt, machen das nachhinein auch und passen gegebenenfalls Ihr Produkt an.
PS: CS 2 läuft ebenfalls auf einem Windows 8.1 rechner ;-) -
Adobe Extension Manager CC Problems
I am running Windows 7 Professional x64.
I just joined the Creative Cloud. I am having all kinds of trouble with the Extension Manager.
1st. When I open the manager it lists "Others" under products.
2nd. If I try to install an extension in Dreamweaver CC a message box pops up that states ' This extension can not be installed, it requires Dreamweaver version 13 or greater."
I have Dreamweaver CC Version 13.1 installed. I have uninstalled Dreamweaver and the manager but get the same results.
3rd. If I try to open the exchange it just shows with the loading wheel till I finally close it.
I did not move any files when I installed them. I have checked for updates on all the programs.Thanks for helping. Here is diagnostics;

Illustrator & Extension Manager 6 updates not installing, subscription
- I have seen the "solution" of uninstall everything & using the cleaner and reinstalling… maybe when I have a whole day free and want to devote my time to Adobe, but really, there has to be a better solution for just these two products going haywire…

I tried downloading the updaters and well as the auto update multiple times -- no joy, same errors.
Seems like it's a download problem for Illustrator, but downloading the update just didn't help either.You can try disabling any software firewalls you have installed. The U43M1D204 error indicates a download error. The extension manager error on the other hand indicates an install error. You can find out the cause of the error by reviewing the installation log files for the update you are attempting to apply. Adobe cloud tries to load addon which I have deleted in Extension manager
when Adobe Cloud starts it tries to load an application (Edge FX lite) that I have deleted in Adobe Extension Manager cc. I get the error message ' unable to install the addon EdgeFX lite error 603. How do I stop this?
Also in Adobe Exchange in 'My Stuff' there are showing addons which I have removed in Adobe extension Manager cc which I would like to be removed from this listing as I will never use them, but if I right click to uninstall I fail to get rid of them.Apologies, without making the assumption that you are signed in
1) Go to https://creative.adobe.com/addons/
2) In the top right hand corner select sign in and enter your Adobe ID and password
3) Once logged in, on the center of the screen at the left hand side, select the link 'All your purchases and shared items'
4) You will then be taken to a page that is the equivalent of your My Stuff panel.
5) You can then install individual add-ons/extensions.

JanIn this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.

Adobe Extension Manager does not recognize me as a Creative Cloud Member.
I'm unable to activate several new extensions, particularly 2 of the paper textures. Adobe Extension Manager says I have to be a Creative Cloud member. I am. And I"m logged in.

Did you acquire your extensions from Adobe Exchange? If yes, when the extension is to be installed, Extension Manager will check if the current user has purchased this extension( for paid extensions ). Then Adobe Application Manager might pop up to let the user input his accout --- adobe id, which is what you got.
