Cloud sync???

What does could sync do? There is no way I can say my wi fi is enabled. "leave your phone behind " definitely is not the case here.
Also as with many other users I got the "can't connect to network factory reset required " screen which forced me to reset my watch. After doing so the re-sync of the apps to the watch was also not done over WiFi although the cloud sync was enabled all the way.
At this point I'm content that cloud sync does not do anything other than ask for sensor logging permissions.
I'd love to find out that I'm wrong

The newest version of iTunes is awful when it comes to Cloud syncing-file management. I'm constantly frustrated with what iTunes 'chooses to eliminate from my mobile device and settings aren't fine-grained enough to allow for real user control.

I'm endlessly frustrated with iTunes Cloud syncing, something that was supposed to make lenjoying my music easier. I routinely find that, though itunes and podcasts have been split, iTunes arbitrairily removes music files or in progress podcast in favor of 'new' podcasts. The settings are just not fine-grained enough to allow true user control and so we are instead subjected to 'Apple knows best' protocols. I understand and appreciate the level of exacting control Apple excercises over their ecosystem, however, more and more often I see them tightening control over things that should be user control while dropping the ball on aesthetic desisions made in producing their own software (see the hideous pull down tab for iTunes to access Podcast, TV shows, Music, etc.
I would like to see features like those in Mail and the Podcasting apps implemented in iTunes afor the management of content on mobile devices, for instance it would be great to swipe to delete files that you know longer want on your device, at both the album and song level. Another issues is the new pushiness of iRadio and iTunes Store, the app now seems to default to the iRadio page (versus the last page Albums, songs, etc. that the user was navigating, or in the instance of the iTunes Store push, if I doon't have all the tracks of an album i own on my mobile device 'complete my album' takes you to iTunes store rather than showing the 'cloud' download icon next to missing tracks. These are the tactics I expect from Google, not Apple (pushing commerce over quality user experience).
Fix these things Apple, please.

Can I create a local VIP? (not cloud synced)

I am posting this again because I thought of a better way of appoaching it.
Is it possible to have local (not cloud synced) VIP lists in the mail app? For example, my wife and I have on our iPhones cloud notes as well as local notes.
Thus her screen is not cluttered with my notes, and vice-versa.
For a simlar reason, I do not want the VIP list on my Mac, but I want it on our iPhones. Problem is that the VIP list syncs on the cloud. So, is there any way to create local VIP lists (only on the device)?

Yes, if I turn the contacts off on my phone I can create a local list. I was hoping when I turn cloud contacts on the VIP list will stay local, not sync to the cloud. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
(By comparison, notes behave better. Say you have cloud notes on and no local notes. To create a first local note, you must turn the cloud notes off, there is no other way. Then create a local note. Turn cloud notes back one, the note you created stays local. Then you can keep adding local or cloud notes as you wish.)

Creative Cloud syncing turns itself off

I have noticed that Creative Cloud syncing turns itself off whenever I open InDesign. I suspect that the link file ID creates is responsible for this. It is a new development and used to work fine until a few days ago.
Does anyone else have a similar experience?

I too recently started having this problem. I thought by uninstalling everything and then re-installing would solve the problem but now I cant get the CC app to run and install the individual products that I need for work. My CC icon appears for a brief moment like yours and then disappears.
Have you found a solution to this by any chance?

BT Cloud - Sync problem ...

Every 3 weeks I add my Outlook .PST email database to BT Cloud Sync & it has failthfully uploaded .... being just over a Gig, one can see it incrementing the '% complete' upload for a short while .....
However since yesterday it just sits at 0% forever ..... any known issues ?
This is performed using the Web page after Login - the PC App has never worked ....

well, I've left it 50 mins and its just ticked over 2% !
Considering I'm on Infinity 2, with 19 Meg upload, whats happening this weekend ?

BT Cloud Sync Folder Files Conflict.

I have several excel data files from a data logging device marked up in the BT Cloud Sync Folder as "conflict".
Effectively this means that the files cannot be opened or recovered using MS excel. No previous versions exist when searching from Windows Explorer, where you right click and search for previous versions.
It may just be possible to open them up as comma separated variable files - csv files, and then reimporting into excel.
The main point is how could this happen?
I usually keep BT Cloud in a logged out / disconnected state, using it as and when. There's not many files there, but some are of interest value.
All files, fortunately, are duplicated as real xls files and can be opened, from BT Cloud..
It's going to be a case of tidying up and backing up again, also on a portable hard drive or a DVD disk.

Creative Cloud Sync Not Available?

I notice that the Creative Cloud Sync function isn't working (I'm in the UK).
All I get is the message "Coming Soon".
It's been saying that for months so when is 'soon'?

Xperia Keyboard - cloud sync problem

Hello and happy new year my friends!
I'm trying to sync my keyboard but everytime I get the "could not sign in" message!
It's been two days now.. Is the server down or something?

Same problem here: I used to have a Z3 Compact, a Z Ultra, a Z2 Tablet and a Z3 Tablet Compact all of them with keyboard on cloud sync working...
Yesterday I logged out the keyoboard of the Z3 Compact and since then no way to log in again...
So (stupid) I logged out all other devices and now I can't manage to login none of them anymore :-(

BT Cloud Sync -actually it doesn't sync!

I have installed BTCLOUD on both my Desktop PC and my laptop (both Windows7). On the desktop PC I copied a folder structure I had in Dropbox into the BT Cloud Sync folder successfully and expected them to also appear in the BT Cloud Sync folder on my laptop. The top level folder appeared but not all the sub folders and the files they contained had made it to the laptop. I deleted everything and retried several times but it has never managed to successfully sync all the files onto the laptop. Strangely the files and folders that don't get synced is different every time I've tried. Can anyone shed any light on why this should happen other than the obvious idea that the software supplied is third rate rubbish?

Switch from itunes sync to cloud sync

both my iPad and my iPhone are set to "iTunes Sync". I would like to switch to Cloud sync.
How do I do this?
Can anybody help?

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

As in the title expressed the cloud sync is a no go for my business computers. So I am looking for an alternative or have I to throw out all apple computers?

No. You can turn it on when you want to sync, just like when you turn it on to plug in the USB cable.

Erasing all settings to restore earlier I-Cloud sync

Will the existing "Shared Streams" be deleted from my phone if I erase all settings? I managed to erase/delete all my videos and many photos from my phone in the process of trying to upload them to my PC. Now I want to at least recover most of them from an earlier I-Cloud sync I did a couple weeks ago.
But I cannot afford to lose two precious videos that still exist in my Shared Streams folder on the IPhone, since they happened after the I-Cloud sync in question.
Thus my question: what gets erased when you "erase all settings?"

If you restore with that last backup (3/31/12), you will get the pics in that backup.
Note that pics taken with the iPhone can and should be copied/moved off the iPhone like you would with any digital camera.

BT Cloud Sync - Default View of Shared Folder Cont...

I share a folder within 'BT Cloud Sync'. When the folder is opened via the BT Cloud icon in my Windows 7 notification area the image files it contains are rendered in list view. On opening the folder via its share link the files were formerly rendered as thumbnails but now appear as images, variously resized and cropped. I'd prefer thumbnnails but failing that I'd like to make list view the default. List view can be selected each time the folder is accessed via the share link but the setting doesn't 'stick' so I'd be grateful if anyone can suggest a method of making it permanent.

Aplogies to BT Cloud and the forum. I forgot that my browser was running inside a sandbox which only allowed the list view setting, or indeed any other data, to be permanently stored if suitably configured. When so configured the setting 'stuck', as as one would expect.
