Cluster Installation of Calendar Server-RedHat3 ES -JES2005Q4-Fatal error
Hello,
I've installed messaging server and calendar server in cluster mode.
Messaging server works well either calendar on the first node.
On the second node Messaging server works (after shutting down the first node) but I didn't manage to start calendar server.
I don't use Sun Cluster Agent.
I've installed calendar server on the SAN (binaries and config files)
When I start it(on the second node) I have the following error message:
Restarting calendar services
Stopping all calendar services
Starting all calendar services
enpd is started
csnotifyd is started
Fatal error 70: Cannot start Alarm Dispatch thread
csadmind is not started
Calendar service(s) not started
PS: I've read this to help me
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2433/6n4nlfjmo?q=calendar+server+cluster&a=view
PS2: I've tried to modify the ics.conf file with this but without any success
http://docs.sun.com/source/817-5699/index.html#wp75517
If anybody have a suggestion !
Thanks for your help and sorry for my english

ThanksHello,
ORA-01194: file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ORA-01110: data file 1: '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/oradata/db/system01.dbf'The system01.dbf which belongs to the Tablespace SYSTEM is still inconsistent.
So, I think you'll need to start from a Backup and apply all the Archived Redo logs before the ORA-600 occured.
More over, try to open a Service Request to My Oracle Support and, send them all the Traces Files and Alert Log so that they can follow all the actions which has occured on this Database. You may need their help.

When starting Netscape Calendar Server, the following error message appears:

The three ACIs listed below need to be present in the Directory Server in order

verify that the following ACIs exist. If they are not present, you will need

</OL>Hi Trinidad,
Thanks for your help!!!
1.
I didn't install EventSender and DIProxy yet, I tried first to upload and deploy the zip files, but I couldn't open the Itegration Application Explorer.
2.
The jvm.dll file is in in the folder pointed by the logs: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap\jre\bin\server
and it is also in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap_64\jre\bin\server
I tried running the file java5w.exe, but I got an error message:
Access is denied
Unable to open the service tomcat5
Thne I managed to open it by "rua as administrator".
the Java Virtual Machine path is points to the java 1.5 version folder.
Is it possible that the reason that the service can't start is related to administrator rigts??
In the properties in the Integration Service (services.msc):
It is set to be run with the local system account.
all other properties looks fine.
in the properties of the tomcat5.exe (and tomcat5w.exe , I tried both)
In the Compatibility tab I tried setting the flag "Run this program in compatibility mode for" to Vista, windows 7, and server 2008
I didn't have the option of Windows XP.
I have also set the Privilege level of: "Run this program as administrator" to true.
But still the service won't start.
What can be the problem?
What else can I check?
Thanks a lot,

Cant connect to Calendar server with a variety of errors
So I had my new OS 10.8 server (2.2.1 169) up and running last night with only a few quirks to work on this morning.
When I started my day I had some of our people login from an offsite location login and add their profiles to their macs to add the calendars, contacts, and messaging. Everything loaded just fine for the first person and yet when the second person logged in they got errors that the calendar service was "not on a secure connection" and when they forced this through to the next step that no calendar service was to be found. SImultaneously the users that had their calendars up and running from the previous day lost connection with the calendar client returing the error "Calendar couldn’t connect to server.myserver.com. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, and then try again later."
Checking the calendar service access log I see that the first person to be setup this morning was the last person to log any activity. So it looks like it isnt even registering acesss from any client. I tried logging in from the comman line with "sudo serveradmin fullstatus calendar" and I get:
calendar:setStateVersion = 1
calendar:logPaths:LogFile = "/var/log/caldavd/access.log"
calendar:logPaths:ErrorLog = "/var/log/caldavd/error.log"
calendar:state = "RUNNING"
calendar:servicePortsAreRestricted = "NO"
calendar:servicePortsRestrictionInfo = _empty_array
calendar:readWriteSettingsVersion = 1
So I tried restarting the calendar service. No difference. Then I checked the calendar error log and I saw this message repeatedly:

Seeing this was tied to the push updates I turned that off. Now the constant error I am getting is:

So I reset that email account's password and re-entered it into the mail client to insure it worked.
Next step was a full restart of the computer. No difference. I tried turning the push updates and here is what came out:

I have Calendar, Contacts, DNS, File Sharing, FTP, Messages, Open Directory, Profile Manager, Software Update, Time Machine, Web, and Wiki running.The name of the server should be server.ls1inc.com

Hello.
Event Notification Server is not working on my old Calendar Server 6.3*. I'm getting a lot of errors like these every second:

Any thoughts?
Thank you very much.

SunOS calendar1 5.10 Generic_137112-03 i86pc i386 i86pcHi,
This could indicate a network or DNS problem. Has something recently changed in the deployment environment?
Other things to check:
Any errors in the other logs? (admin log, watcher log, etc.)
Are all Calendar processes running?
Has anything crashed and/or left a core file?
Have you tried stopping and restarting the server?

Calendar Server will not start - Specific error 1
I changed my server from Token ring networkcard to Ethernet and since then
the Calendar Engine service doesn't start anymore. The eventviewer displays
the message: The Calendar Engine service terminated with a service-specific
error 1. No dependent services will start either.
<P>
In the eng.log file is the following error:
Incorrect or missing entry in /etc/services or unable to read /etc/services
due to incorrect permissions or if using NIS database not created or not
rebuilt.
<P>
This is caused by altering the permissions on various system files, in this
case as follows:
<P>
In \winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services you should find entries similar to
the following:
<P>
unieng 5730/tcp
unisnc 5731/tcp
unidas 5732/tcp
<P>
Permissions for the file should be:
<P>
Administrators: Full Control(All)
Everyone: Read (RX)
NetscapeMTA: Read(RX)
SYSTEM: Full Control (All)
Owner: Administrator
<P>
Note: If you ever delete the services file or TCP/IP stack you will get this
error in the eventviewer on NT: service-specific error 1Hi,

Cannot add users to Calendar Server
Cannot add users to Calendar Server
<P>
You may get the following error when you try to add users to a new
installation of Calendar Server 3.0:
<P>
Could not bind as [nsCalXItemId=10000:00001, o=Ace Industry,c=US].<br>
Create ObjectClass for user [cn=John Doe, o=Ace Industry, c=US]... failed.
<P>
This is an inconsistent problem that we are trying to duplicate on a
regular basis. There are a few solutions:
<P>
1) Create another node. This seems to work every time.<br>
2) Deinstall the Calendar Server completely and reinstall. Be VERY
careful of the Directory Server URL definition.What printer model is it? I ask, because often manufacturers provide USB-only drivers for USB-only printers - for Macs, that is. In other words, if you know about CUPS from using Macs and linux, the manufacturers actually provide drivers with the comm protocol built-in, rather than make use of the USB "backend" available from CUPS. These are called "monolithic" drivers - they don't follow the unix/linux/CUPS concept of making use of already-provided modules.

VivekHi Romain Testu, Jstorz & srinathmenon:
Thanks for the information on the 2 exes that I need to run (IdcServer.exe & IdcAdmin.exe). I ran these two exes from the command prompt as suggested by srinathmenon (I first ran IdcServer next IdcAdmin). However, I did not find any new windows services showing up, with any similar sounding name.
I once again visited the http://localhost/idc, and when I clicked on the picture of the LOCK, I found a new difference from before. Earlier, I was getting an error message as soon as I clicked on the LOCK. Now, when I clicked on the LOCK, I got a prompt for Username and Password. I typed the default sysadmin & idc. Then I got logged onto a window which says "Oracle Content Server", with three Tree-view dropdowns on the left (My Content Server, Browse Content and Search).
But in the main part of this Oracle Content Server window, it gives the following error message: -
Content Server Request failed..Unable to retrieve page. Permission denied. Address 127.0.0.1 is not an allowable remote socket address
Could you please suggest what could be wrong here?
Thanks,

Append Hint causing ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal er
Hi All,
I am facing Service Terminated by Fatal Error when using APPEND hint in my Insert statement.
We are executing the below commands in Oracle 9ir2.
This is the scenario which I am facing.
SQL> insert into VALIDTRANSACTIONLINE select * from TRANSACTIONONLINE;
1910534 rows created. --works fine
SQL> rollback;
Rollback complete.
SQL> insert /*+ append */ into VALIDTRANSACTIONLINE select * from TRANSACTIONONLINE;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal error
FYI: The table is having LOGGING-NO and the tablespace for this table is having more than 5GB of free space and undotablespace is also around 650 MB and the total size of insertion will be less than 50MB records.
Has anyone faced this kind of issue.
Appreciate your response.
Thanks,
Madhu K.Hi,
FYI:
I can see the undotablespace is having 0MB free space.
it is a very strage issue.
With Undotablespace Zero, I was able to insert the data having APPEND Hint but no indexes on the table.
But when I create an Index on the Table and the Index is also in NOLOGGING mode, the Insertion is again failed with FATAL Error.
Ex: No Index on the table.
SQL> INSERT +append
2 INTO credit
3 SELECT /*+ driving_site(t1) */ * FROM tru_cmp.credit@EPSARCDV_TO_EPSDEV1.DIRECTV.COM t1 WHERE PERIODSEQ =300;
1999401 rows created.
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX TRU_CMP.CREDIT_PK_IND ON TRU_CMP.CREDIT

NOPARALLEL
INSERT +append
INTO credit
SELECT /*+ driving_site(t1) */ * FROM tru_cmp.credit@EPSARCDV_TO_EPSDEV1.DIRECTV.COM t1 WHERE PERIODSEQ =300;
ERROR at line 3:
ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal error
Can you let me is this related to the Data File issue, so that I can ask the DBA to look into this as I dont have access to those alert log files.

amol kulkarniHi,
You know what ?
Step by step installation is different in every company because each company has a different usage of SAP software.
It is precisly your job as a SAP sys admin, to study the problem, to solve it and to write the step by step documentation.
In my company, it took me one month and my documentation is 250 pages long.
You will not get someone else doing YOUR job instead of you.
The standard SAP documenation is perfectly enough to study your particular case...
Good luck !

Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"
Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"
<P>
When installing Calendar Server 3.5 on NT near the end an error
occurs: "libnmspr20.dll not found " and then it will exit the setup
without completion.
This is a bug because it is looking for the libnmspr20.dll in the
system path but the Calendar Server installation has left it in a
temp directory. This does not occur if the Netscape Messaging Server
has been previously installed on the same host. A workaround is, when
the error message displays, you DON'T press ok, but search your
computer for the missing file (usually found in temp-directory).
You then copy the file to a directory in your system path. Now you
can press the OK button and the installation will fail. Re-install
the calendar server, this time the installation won't fail.Installing Latest JRE on NT4 sp6a produces the same error:
InstallShield DLL Custom Action:
File 'C:\TEMP\RegUtils.dll' can not be found. Make sure the file is on the target system or installed already.
I searched www.installshield.com since the error is an installer error and the installer is InstallShield. NO results found there either.
Seems like the installer team needs to brush up on the NT4 platform. -
Hello Everyone,
I am in a deep need for your help regarding the problem I am facing.
I am doing a New SQL Server Failover Cluster Installation in a virtual server that is part of a failover cluster. I am able to complete all the steps successfully but, when I reach the point where I am supposed to select the shared disk that will
be included in the SQL server resource cluster group, I don't find any disk in the list (as u can see in the figure below).
I have already created the a 2 nodes failover cluster and added 3 disks (1 as a witness in Quorum and 2 other available storage).
No roles were created, 2 nodes are available and 1 network is there in the cluster.
If u take a look at the message it say: "The search for mount points failed. Error: the system cannot find the path specified". What is this and how can I solve this issue??
Thanks in advance for your support and looking forward for your valuable feedbacks.
Mark as answer if it was an answer for you question.. Please don't hesitate to ask for any further help..Dear Ashwin,
I have granted the privileges mentioned in the link you provided as below:
Act as Part of the Operating Sywstem = SeTcbPrivileg
Bypass Traverse Checking = SeChangeNotify
Lock Pages In Memory = SeLockMemory
Log on as a Batch Job = SeBatchLogonRight
Log on as a Service = SeServiceLogonRight
Replace a Process Level Token = SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege
I was not able to solve the problem by giving these privileges to the domain account I am using to install SQL.

ERP ECC 6.0 Cluster Installation under MS SQL Server 2005
Hi,
anybody in the world did a ECC 6.0 Cluster installation under MS SQL Server 2005 database?
Can anyone please share some usefull documents to understand... This is new to me and doing it for first time.
Pls help
RGCHi,
I'm looking for a customized document for ECC installation (how to document) and not a SAP Standard one as i'm new to cluster. Please share if any.
How to configure the nodes in three tier architecture?
In which node the DB should be installed?
In which node the CI should be installed?
How to configure Central Point of Failure (CPOF)?
How the ECC 6.0 cluster works and how to distribute the resources (SAP) across nodes?
What are the resources that needed for failover from one node to another?
Expecting help.
