Cluster resource SAPCCM4X.00' in Resource Group 'SAP ABC' failed
Hallo.
I installed SAPCCM4X following the http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0bcedaa-dfb1-2d10-b3a9-c140aff84dc2?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
It is registered successfully, but it fails every 5 minutes.
I see in the event viewer
Cluster resource SAPCCM4X.00' in Resource Group 'SAP ABC' failed.
What could I check?

I followed the note.
The problem is when the CCMS check the status , every 5 minutes.
The registrazion was successful.
I set ccms/enable_agent = -1
I set AgentLocalHost virtualhostname
But I have the same problem.
I don't know what to check.

After assigning the resource group to some users, I add a resource (oracle) to the resource group.
How does IdM create users to an additional new resource?
By default, IdM does not create users automatically by detecting addition of resource.

1)create a group of resources
2)assign users to that group
3)add additional resources to the group in point 1.
what u expect to see here is, that the users who were assigned to the group shud have their accounts created automatically on the new resource
if this is what u expect ...
i suggest that u create a ROLE ....and add the resources there...
ASSIGN this role to ur users...
henceforth whenever u add a new resource to the ROLE the already existing users assigned to the role will get their accounts automatically created on the new resources...

Group SAP in MSCS fail during take offline/bring online.

I have a problem with a SAP ECC 6.0 MSCS Windows 2003 64b+Oracle 10.2.0.4. Is recently installed and when I move the group SAP between the nodes, I have not problem, the group and yours resources take offline, they move and bring online in the other node without errors. But when I take offline and bring online the group SAP without move to the anothers node, the resource "SAP <SID> 00 instance" take the status Failed, and the resource "SAP <SID> service" take the status offline, the others resources of group take the status online. After of this errors, the group failed of the same way when I try to move to the another node.
The only workaround that resolve the errors, is to copy the kernel from the originally download (700 221 NOUNICODE) to the kernel of the sap instance.

Best Regards. Alberto Caro.I came across this situation before in Windows 2003 server. During the fail-over, sapstartsrv.exe get's corrupted and so you cannot bring back the cluster resources online. The only solution is to replace this one file and try to bring back the resources online. You will know its corrupted when you manually open the file sapstartsrv.exe.

We have requirement like to Install the SSAS as Cluster instance where SQL Server Database engine was installed with Always On availability group.Please help me to how configure it
Currently we have following configuration in Current steup.
Node1 and Node2 are in windows cluster
Node1 has SQL Server Database engine Instance1 as Standalone
Node2 has SQL Server Database engine Instance2 as Standalone
Instance1 and Instance2 configured for Always On availability group with Listener.
Now we have to steup SSAS instance with High availibilty. I know we have only option is to install cluster SSAS instance.
Can some one provide information below.
1. How to steup Cluster SSAS instance in this servers.
2. Is this will have any dependancy on exisiting Listner name.
3. Is this affects the availiblity groups, if SSAS instance failed over to another node.

How To Cluster SQL Server Analysis Services
Availability Group is in it's own Role/Resource Group. When you create the clustered SSAS, it will create its own Role/Resource Group. This means that it will require its own virtual network name and virtual IP address and will not affect the existing Availability
Group. You can also have it on the existing Availability Group if you want to. However, you need to decide if you want SSAS to failover with the Availability Group or not. Your design choices will depend on that decision.

Resource Management of Shared Resource Pool at the Project Level
I am having difficulty figuring out how to implement our resource management process. Currently we have one "Resource Pool" project that has all the shared resources. It is connected to both a "master portfolio" plan that has some task
detail in it and other individual project plans that have their own WBS (for larger projects).
The difficulty arises because we want to do resource allocation at a project level, but the resource usage view shows the WBS/task level detail. I've tried grouping the resources assignments by resource and then project, but since everything is
in the "Resource Pool" project, they all group under that project. I've tried adding the "Project" field and it does show as the source project, but it doesn't group on that field, but rather the "Resource Pool" project
only.
How can I see resource allocation/usage at just the project level so our managers can do planning, negotiation, and re-allocation on a periodic basis with one simple view?
My best current idea is to disconnect all the sub-tasks from the sharer, eliminate the WBS below the project level in the master plan and attach resources at that single line project in that master plan. Then, we would have to manually alter the "Max"
available time in the individual sub-plans as we altered allocations. That essentially disconnects individual plans from both the master plan and the shared resource pool.
Is there a better way?Mark,
Yeah, I think there is a better way. Having a linked structure the contains both a pool file and a dynamic master is tenuous enough (i.e. prone to corruption), but if you start disconnecting from the pool and and messing with the master, you will most certainly
invite trouble.
But here is an approach that might work. I tested it on a sample pool file with two sharer files and I think it might give you what you want.
1. First, either manually copy or use VBA to copy the contents of the Project field to a custom text field in each sharer file
2. In the pool file display the Resource Usage view
3. Create a group that first groups on the Resource Name and then on the Text1 field, and select "group assignments, not resource"
4. Change the Text1 group field to be "assignment"
Does that give you what you want?
To help visualize, here is a screenshot of my test file. After grouping I applied a filter to Text1 with the option to also show summary tasks:

I am trying to configure SAP RFC with MII Message Listener XMIIRFC02
While i am updating(XMIIRFC01) SAP details in Resource Adapter of Application Resource in nwa(SAP NetWeaver )
And when i click the save button its showing below error.
"Saving Resource Adapter: XMIIRFC02 failed due to: Configuration changes for resource adapter not committed"
And if i check the Log Details, its showing below exception

Before doing all this i have done in SAP netweaver for XMIIRFC02 in below navigation
Configuration Management --> Infrastructure --> Application Resources --> select Resource Adapter --> select XMIIRFC02 --> go to properties and update all the details of SAP
Is this process can work and update the message listener XMIIRRC02 with SAP server and client
And while i am clicking update button of message listener XMIIRFC02 from MII Menu Screen, Its showing popup error message
"Cannot update Configuration; JRA XMIIRFC02 must be configured in SAP NetWeaver Administrator before it is used"

Bulk Resource import into PWA Resource Center

My objective is to import a few hundred resources into Resource Center in PWA using an Excel File. I managed to get it working by opening Project Professional, going into Resource Sheet, adding columns Windows User Account, Email Address and a few
other custom enterprise fields I created. I copy/pasted my info from Excel into Project Professional, clicked on Resource->Add Resources->Import Resources to Enterprise->Continue to Step 2->Validate Resources->Save and Finish and all of
my resources ended up in Resource Center in PWA. Problem is, is that I thought they would have been added to Team Members by default, but they weren't added to any Security Groups.
I tried adding a bunch of different columns in Project Professional that I thought mapped to Security Groups in Resource Center, but none of them did. Does anyone know which column field in Project Professional maps to the Security Groups field in
Resource Center? Is there an easy way to figure this out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately you cannot manage resources' security groups in MS Project Pro. You can to do it from PWA manually, or you might use a powersheel script. I'd suggest to do it manually from server settings, manage users, since coding the script, testing it,
run it and checking the result will surely be more time consuming than doing it manually.

Resource Center - Need to change a Local Resource to an Enterprise Resource
The Resource Record for a resource was accidently deleted. This resource was still assigned to active project tasks at the time of the delete. A new Resource Record was created but it has the resource as a Local Resource. How can I move
this resource back to the Enterprise Resource Pool?
As a Local Resource the Assignment Owner field on his assigned tasks are not populating, so he cannot see any tasks on his timesheets. Also, the resource cannot be assigned to any new project tasks because he cannot be added to the Project Enterprise
Pool.
Attempted to remove the Resource Record that was created using Delete Enterprise Objects -> Resources and Users but since the resource is Local and not Enterprise his record is not showing to select it for delete.
Would the Admin Restore->Enterprise Resource Pool and Calendars functionality put his original record back in place? I understand only one version of this backup is kept but that should be the version we currently have. What data might be
lost using this functionality? Any chance other users would be adversely impacted?

As mentionned in your previous post, restoring the resource pool should work, since it is restoring resources with their metadata and with the exact same UID. Thus the deleted and restored enterprise resource should have everything back (assignments, timesheets...).
Since I never tested such as process, I strongly advice to test it in the dev environment on a simple test case.
I remember that if also adviced you to recreate the enterprise resource and type in the resource sheet on one of the resource's project the exact enterprise resource name (exact same syntax), so Project should ask you when saving if you want to replace the
local resource by the enterprise one. Can you confirm that it didn't work?

I want to create a RFC connection.
In the "Connection and Transport"-Tab I fill out the fields: Target Host, System Number and System ID.
If I save the destination the fields Gateway-Host and Gateway-Service will be automatically filled out with the same input value of the Target Host field.
But there is no gateway for this system and if I ping the destination the following error message is shown:

I have attempted to configure the Destination with a co-worker who successfully configured a Destination to the same R/3-System but with SAP NetWeaver 2004s and not with SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SR1.
He said that in his case he connects to the Message-Server so we activated Load Balancing.
The Message-Server will be found now but the Logon Group cant be found:

11g Add Text Resource Values in a Resource Bundle (Bug? - minor)

When you are adding a new Text Resource Value in a Resource Bundle the "Save and Select" button becomes active only when you enter a value for "Description". I believe we should be able to input text resources having no Description if we would like so.
Notice that the "Project Properties/ Resource Bundle / Always Prompt for Description" check box is not selected.

It is your only option if you want to get rid of that other user account. It seems the system is Hard Set to boot to that account. How and why I have not Idea but the first thing you should of done was Restoring it to the Original OS, if it was not Mt Lion to begin with, in doing so getting rid of all other accounts and files from that other account.
Time to Bit the Bullet and Erase the drive completely and reinstall the original shipping version of OS X on that system.
