Clusterware and third-party application

Hi,
I have a installation, where I have 2 servers for Oracle, connected to storage via SCSI, and 6 others servers for application servers (JBoss/WebLogic), not connected to this storage. All 8 machines have two network interface, so I can build public and private network. Oracle servers will work in RAC configuration. My question is: can I use Oracle clusterware to protect application servers, when the machines have not access to shared storage?

Reinstalling OS 10.9 and third party applications

After trying the many suggestions given here and still having problems with too many "applications quit unexpectedly" I have decided to reinstall 10.3.9. I would like to anticipate what I face by doing this---lost passwords, etc??? Also, how do I identify what are third party applications? Not usually a conspiracist, but five times this pm when i have tried to visit the votenader site, a crash has occured within seconds after I get to the site lol.

Web browsers, such as Firefox and Camino compatible on 10.3.9, are still being updated by their developers to keep pace with changing web standards. Safari is being updated but not for 10.3.9 and it's version of Safari (1.3.2 is the farthest that a Panther user can update).
Camino will feel very similar to Safari and can be customized to feel even more like it but the benefit is that it will function on sites that Safari 1.3.2 can no longer handle (Google Maps etc.).
Personally, I would leave Safari and Firefox alone on your Mac for now as it's nice to have a backup browser if you have any problems with another that you are using (ie. Camino). If your available disk space is that low perhaps trash one but hold on to at least one spare browser.
If you suspect a third party application of causing system problems I would look first to applications that embed themselves or intergrate more fully into the system. Applications that perhaps add a menubar icon or a system preference pane of it's own. Those would more likely cause problems with the system than a browser I should think.
Can you not remember which apps you have downloaded as third party applications?

I don't have a method of determining original installed apps that came with your computer. Alot of that depends upon what model you have and what software was bundled with it originally. I'm from the school of "if I don't know for sure don't mess with it" so you don't stand the chance of messing up the system. If there are particular apps that you have questions about deleting you are probably wise to post back and ask before deleting them.

System software v 2.0.2 and third party applications

Finally! got my third party apps working on my ipod touch!
I think the temporary solution lies in syncing your apps with iTunes.
Thanks to one of the techies (Dwayne, thanks Dwayne!) I downloaded a free 3rd party app through iTunes then synced the apps with my ipod touch, now all of the 3rd party apps work even when I download new ones wirelessly on my ipod.

No I'm starting to think it may be the actual HDD I've since initialized the system removed the USB attempted to sign in tells me I need to update it. Downloads the update, attempts to install the update and the same error occurs. I've ordered a new SSHybrid drive 1TB. Good thing I had not played much on it as yet. Did not have much save data on it, but quite ***** that this has happened. Something must have occured between the 2.51 update to 2.55 that must have fragged the HDD.

Installing Third-Party Applications

My family wants to start downloading some games and third-party applications for our iMac. I am new to iMac system administration, so I have a few questions.
I want to install the download so that they will be accessible to everyone. Does this have to be done in the admin account? What is the difference between an admin or a non-admin user downloading software?

Firmware and third party updates

Hi Everyone,
Currently I am running ARD version 3 on tiger server and I have Tiger and Leopard OS X running on my client machines (G5, Intel Mac).
I was wondering if there is a way to send Apple firmware and third party application updates to all of my Mac clients using ARD.
I have used "softwareupdate -i -a" and this command seems to be only working with Apple software but nothing else.
1. Is there a command that I can send (using ARD) to update firmware on all my Mac clients?
2. Is there a command to update third party software such as Adobe, Roxio etc?

2. Only by repackaging the updates into an Apple standard package installer and pushing them out via ARD. I suggest you use LanREV's InstallEase (Free) to package up the updated files on your master build system and deploy those packages.

How can I set up printing to queues on a Windows 2008 server directly from the iPad apps and not from third-party applications without using AppleTalk or Bonjour?

We have a Windows 2003/2008 server-based network with a dedicated print server which we would like to be able to print to over Wi-Fi. How can I set up the printers on the iPad without downloading a third party application such as Print Central or Print N Share? I want to just click the arrow and "Print" then choose the printer, which doesnt show up. I want to be able to use the existing TCP/IP-based network that we have to reach these queues, not having to install Bonjour or AppleTalk to reach them.

This would really be the "Holy Grail" right now. I think this a feature that every large organization requires. AirPrint works on a small scale, but is not really an enterprise class application. In addition it uses the Bonjour discovery process which is difficult in a large LAN WAN environment. For those that would remind me, I am aware of the enhancement link

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

You can use velocity templates and javascript to achieve what you need.
Update confirm_end_session_screen.vm to
1. dynamically call the end session URL using ajax(?) to actually close the active OPA session
2. redirect user to the third-party application when the OPA session is closed

Submitting to third party application and post back creating refresh issue

I am doing a web application in which I need to hit a third party application from a view and come back to the same view if the third party sends a response back.
For this I am getting the adfCtrlState and submitting it as a postbackurl for the third party.
After coming back to the same view from the third party, I need to go to the next activity in the taskflow without any user interaction.
I am using the following code to find the next activity

But it is not able to find the next activity in the taskflow, if a hit F5(refresh) it is rendering the next view in the taskflow.
My primary requirement is to execute or render the next method call activity or view after coming back from the third party application without user interaction. Is there any other way to go to the next activity without broadcasting the event ?*

I'm lost. What "registration tool" are you even referring to here? Or is this what you are planning on creating and that's what you are choosing to call it?

There is no "preview" of projects. Preview of individual topics, sure. But not for a project. There is only compile or generate to create the final output.
Once it had been reviewed and ready, then the user could push to production.
Sounds like what one might typically accomplish using RoboHelp in a typical development cycle. You edit content on the local hard drive. If a review is needed, you compile or generate the content and place the output on a server. After approval is complete the content is then copied to the production server.
Sure sounds like you are attempting to reinvent the wheel in many situations here.

No. If you restored the device to an older backup, then the device was brought back to that date and time, which was before those photos were taken. When you restored the device, it deleted everything off the phone and replaced it with the earlier information.

Third party application forcing java stack to restart when logged in through SSO

We have APW Third party application installed on Enterprise portal 7.4.
When we tried to login APW portal through SSO it forces Java stack services to restart.If we use APW directly without SSO it works fine.

Please check the configuration once agian about the third party connection and the portal.
Also provide the "dev_server0" which under in directory /usr/sap/SID/J00/work and default trace which under in “/usr/sap/SID/J00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log" to analyze the issue. There is some other tool as well to check the issue using "httpwatch" log tool. But, mostly issue can be identified in dev_server0 or defalut trace".

Share an iCal calendar without a third party application

After perusing the iCal discussion forum, it seems that the only way to "share" a calendar with another person (whether or not they have a MobileMe account) is to use Google Calendars or some other third party application. It seems like there would be a lot of users that want to "share" calendars and not just publish their calendars for others to see. The most common situation seems to be the sharing of a calendar with a spouse. Google makes this possible without charging a cent and you don't even have to dig to figure out how to do it. Naturally, because I love my Mac and the way all of my Apple programs interconnect, I want to avoid a third party solution. Is there a solution to this problem built into iCal (or maybe something to do with MobileMe) that I have simply overlooked? If not, how can we get Apple to include this feature in a future update of iCal?

I just spent the weekend setting this up for me and my wife. Unfortunately, you MUST use a 3rd party application. Like you have, I have spent the last month doing extremely refined Google searches in the hopes I would find the answer.
So, I migrated our calendars to Google and this seems to be working well. Synchronization is not as instantaneous as MM but every 5 minutes is not that bad.

My third party applications keep de-activating. How do I fix this?

I am wondering if anyone can be of help to me. I am desperate.
I upgraded to Mavericks and am currently on version 10.9.5.
I have numerous third party applications...to name the two important ones,
most of them are video effects from New Blue FX and the other ones are just like converters etc.
I have had no problems with them in the beginning when I upgraded to Mavericks and
certainly no problems before Mavericks. Now all of a sudden, every time I try to use
these applications, it keeps saying that I am running on trial version and that I need
to activate the product with the activation code. This has never happened before and
it certainly has not got to do with a certain app as it is happening with all my applications
that require an activation code. I have to keep activating the apps everyday so that I can
use them and it is becoming really annoying and I don't know how to fix this.
I am sure it is something simple as my computer has been absolutely GREAT since
I have updated to Mavericks. Everything has been so much faster and just amazing until
this new problem. This is the only problem I have. I have checked and I have done ALL updates.
I am a video editor and I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and these continuous activations are
really not helpful for me when I am trying to concentrate and use my effects.
But like I said, it cannot be just the effects I use for adobe as applications that
are not associated to adobe at all are being affected as well.
If you guys could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
I am really desperate! By the way, I am working on an iMac with Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9.5.

If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary.
