CM1415FN can't scan to my mac 10.9

i just switch from windows to mac and install all the needed software for my HP laserjet CM1415fn to work on the mac 10.9 Mavrekes .. the printing is working fine but i can't scan anything to my computer..
i even download the HP scan software but it can't even deduct the scanner .. then i used image capture that come with Mac, it was working fine for 3 days, but now it even can't deduct my scanner.. i even try the preview application and same thing, it can't deduct my scanner.
is there a way that i can scan my documents from my mac 10.9.1??

I understand the printer isn't being detected now when trying to scan.
I will be happy to help you.
Find out what driver you are using.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
Click Print & Scan, highlight the printer on the left column and look for the name of the driver installed on the right side of the window.
If it says Airprint, delete the driver and add a new one with the printers name.
(you might have to click the drop down to select the printer name)
If you are still having issues then do the following steps:
Verify and repair the disk permission on the Mac.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, applications, utilities, disk utility, click on Mac harddrive on the left side, click on verify disk permissions, when that is finished click repair disk permissions.
(when it is finished will show disk repair completed)
I would reset the printing system.
Note: This will delete all the printers listed and you will have to add them back in again.
Go to the Apple, system preferences, print and scan, hold down the control button on the keyboard and click your mouse in the white area on the left side of the window, reset printing system comes up, select it and put in Mac password.
Then add the printer back in by selecting the + button. Again make sure it shows the printer name and not Airprint.

Desperate!! Printer issues, Can´t print, can´t scan on my Mac Book Pro.

Have issues printing and scanning from my Mac Book Pro on a Epson Stylus TX110 printer/scanner. This printer used to work fine on my old windows based laptop. However. When tried to install the software from the original disk, on my new mac, got an error message that could not recognized the application (My guess is that software was old.)
Went to EPSON support website, located the drivers for my printer, TX110_scan_3730 GM2.dmg and TX110_115_653APS_C2_GM.dmg
Downloaded them and ran the script and went through the whole process of installing, it said it finished installing both applications, but I can-t find the printing applications or run the scanner...
Desperate... need to scan and print!

You ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below. If you use any iWork applications, you may need to delete them and redownload them from the App Store.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

X576dw stopped working - can't scan to mutliple MACs

My Officejet x576dw stopped scanning to two macs - one on Yosemite and the other on 10.7.5. I can't scan with either HP Scan, HP Easy Scan, or the the Mac Scan application. I get a variety of hang ups, or connectivity errors. I reset the printing system, rebuilt disk permissions. The scanner is network connected, on Ethernet. I have tried both a static and dynamic IP I worked through a ton of problems to get the scanner working, and having it stop working for no reason is very frustrating. Please advise

HP7520 Still can't scan to computer (Mac)

I've seen NUMEROUS posts from folks with the same problem:
The "Scan to Computer" function on the printer doesn't work, even though all other printer functions between the computer and printer work fine. Printing works fine. Scanning from the computer works fine.
The printer's display shows the computer name when Scan-to-Computer is selected. But when the scan is initiated, I get a message on the computer:
"Scan failed - an error occured while communicating with the scanner"
and a message on the printer:
"No Connection - no computer is connected..."
But of course the computer IS connected!
On the Mac, the HP Utility's "Enable Scan to Computer" button is grayed out, with the explanation that the HP software required for Scan to Computer could not be located. Nothing I do let's me enable it.
Numerous posts on this forum, for this and other HP AIO printers, say to uninstall all the HP printer software and drivers, repair disk permission, reinstall the Full Feature printer software, and reinstall the printer drivers.
Did all that multiple times. Same problem.
Scan-to-computer used to work at one time and I used it routinely. Not sure exactly when it stopped, but may have been after upgrading to OS10.9.
Has anyone actually solved this problem? All the posts I've seen on this problem seem to end without resolution.

I understand when scanning from the Photosmart 7520, you receive a message "Scan failed - an error occurred while communicating with the scanner". I will do my best to assist you!
How is this printer connected? Wireless or USB? I realize you did state that your operating system is 10.9, but are you running the upgraded version such as 10.9.1? Please let me know on this post.
Have you performed all the Apple updates on your computer? If not, could you please follow this Apple document here. When you reinstalled this HP software, did you use the CD or the HP website?
I would make sure you have completed every step from this HP document on A 'No Computer Detected' or 'Connection Error' Message Displays during Scanning.

Can't scan to 1 Mac in the office with HP OfficeJet Pro X576dw MFP

Hi, We recently moved offices, and after getting to the new location all computers have been able to connect to the Network printer in the office for printing and scanning. We have both PC and Macs in the office and all are working fine. One of the Mac computers is able to print, but none of the scan options are available. Running Mac OS 10.10.4, have run all the Mac updates and have deleted and reinstalled the printer software. Any help is appreciated.

Try updating the software by following these steps:
First ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your Mac or to the same network.
Click the Apple icon, then select About This Mac.
Click on Software Update, then click the top Store menu of the shown window and click on Reload Page.
Be sure to install any HP or Apple update, then check for any difference.
If the same persists, manually try installing the package below:

After upgrading to Yosemite, I can not scan (epson) to my Mac.

I can not scan even after I updated all updates from epson. Latest was today with version 3.0 Still tells me I am not connected (USB). I disconnected and reconnected and turned off and on. Nothing seems to work.
What am I doing wrong?
I can print from the Mac, just can not scan to the Mac.
Any advise would be great.

You can just download the free ClamXav and scan your entire drive - but as there are no known viruses for OS X (although there is malware - see Thomas Reed's excellent Mac Malware Guide) it's very unlikely that you have a virus.
The best source against malware is OS X itself and common sense. Don't click on links in suspicious emails and be careful of anything that wants to install something on your computer that is not from a reputable source.

Can't scan over network with a laserjet 1217 on a Mac

My set up:
Mac with Yosemite
Laserjet M1217 over wireless
Problem description:
I can't scan. From preview, or the control panel, or image capture, I get the same error saying "can't open a session"
I have installed and re-installed the drivers/printer around 100 times.
I have tried adding the printer/scanner as airprint, or with the name of the printer as a post suggested.
Everything result in the same error.
I have version 2.0 of the driver installed right now. Tried with 1.7 as well, same result.
I can print without a problem from my Mac and from my iPad.
Tried with an ethernet cable and have teh same issue in case someone ask.
I've looked everywhere in google and doesn't seem like anyone else have the same issue? Many people have issues printing over wireless, but that's ok for me. Is the scanning I can't get to work.
HP pages doesn't offer any different driver than what Yosemite has. HP doesn't offer any extra program for Mac and scan.
Don't know what else to try.
Some help? Anyone?

I see that you are experiencing issues scanning over the wireless network and hardwired network on Yosemite.
I would like to help you out with this issue today.
The drivers for Yosemite are installed by the Apple Updates.
Installing Your HP Printer Driver and Software for Mac OS X.
Did you add the printer as a Bonjour printer or IP Protocal?
IP Protocal won't allow you to scan, just print.
You can also download and install the HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X.
If you are still having issues then check that the scanning ports on the router to make sure that they are open. You can contact the router company to check and open these ports 9220/9500/427 on the router.
If you still can't scan, connect the printer directly to the Mac with a USB cable and see if you can scan. Just to rule out a network issue.
What kind of router do you have?
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

I was having problems with fuzzy or no picture when scanning. I used to use a HP Scan option on my Mac. But I upgraded the drivers for OS X 10.9.3. I no longer have the full disk version.

Can't scan to mac

I have tried all the tips in the messages but I cannot scan to my Mac. I tried also using the HP utility and it says it scans an overview, but I cannot find the files on the computer. Here is the message I am getting. The printer function works fine and everything is plugged in and has been rebooted. I also downloaded the latest drivers as well.
The action “Scan from an HP Device” could not be loaded because it is damaged or missing necessary resources.

I have read your post on how you are not able to scan from your Officejet 6700 to your Mac computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To restore the scanning function of your printer on the Mac, I recommend removing and re-installing the HP software on your Mac OSX 10.9 computer. This can be done by following this document on Uninstalling the Printer Software. Once removed, please download and install the full feature software for your printer: HP Officejet 6700 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver - OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
As soon as the software is completed, please attempt to scan using the HP Scan utility on your computer.
For further assistance, I will need to know:
If your printer is connected with a USB or if it is connected to a wireless network
If this is a recent, or reoccurring issue.
If you are able to make a color photocopy from the flatbed and automatic document feeder.
If the printer is plugged in directly into a wall outlet, or into a surge protector or power strip.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network?

I see printer drivers from Canon for that printer for OS X 10.7. but not scanner drivers. If the MF4140 is not recognized by the Image Capture application and Canon technical support cannot offer any assistance, all I can think of to suggest is to try a third-party scan application such as VueScan:

They offer a free trial period so you can see if it works with your Canon.
