CM21/cm25 sorting of user defined field in table area

Hallo,
I implemeted the field MARC-MATGR in the table area of the CM21 with user exit CYPP0005 and now I'm trying to use the user exit CYPP0002 for sorting in order of this field like explained in oss note 605217.
I implemented the coding like shown in the examples of the user exits but sorting is not workiing.
By debugging the user exit I'm not shure where I can change the internal tables to get a result sorted by this "MARC-MATGR".
Perhaps someone can help me giving me an hint how the user exit is working and what has to be changed ?

I have posted a similar kind of reply in one of the thread which may help u defining the User Defined Tabel /Filed .Just check this Out :
For cm25/CM21 : Assuming that you have all the other set up for Capacity Requirement in place , please note the belwo steps for layout design for CM25 OR cm21 or cm22( all you will be used same overall profile )
1.Make sure that you have proper Overall profile defined in OPD0-Define Overall profile .Here u will define Time Profile , Startegy prfoile . Lay out Profile etc .
2.To paint your layout your soultion is to Goto -CY38-Pop down the menu -Select the Lay out Key which have been used as lay out -Goto Change Mode (Pencil symbol)-Now you will find the fields are high ligheted as per CM25 dipaly in a sequnce -You can un chekcde the Filed like Operation , Operation text , Setup what ever you do not want to show in Order Pool and Hit SAVE butotn and come back .
CM25 --> Settings --> Display Profiles --> Planning tab.profile --> I01 --> Layout ID ( Example : 'SAPSFCLA05') which is Main Capacity Lay out id .
If you goto CY38-Pop down the menu -You will find Main Capcitity Lay out Id : Example SAPSFCAS01 -Enter this lay out and chenage accordingly as I have explained in above
Once you save this , then go back to CM25 and execute with coupe of work centres to check how is the order pool looks now .
Refer this threade for Layout Id and option which u may need for CM25 front end

First question, Your UDF length field is morethan 8, if you linking with UDT the length should be 8. if your UDF less then 8 e.g. 1-7. after you linking it the UDF length will be 8, it's because default length field in UDT ( Code(8), Name(30)).
Second, yes it can, but on for simple requeirement, if Your requirement is complex, You need SDK.
Step :
- create UDT
- Create UDF
- Register ( Tool >> User Defined Object >> Registration Wizard ) don't forget to tick Default Form.
fyi, there 2 kind of UDO : Document and Master Data, You should consider this.

User Defined Fields & Tables Problem

After the upgrade to B1 2007 and converting our database to 2005 compatibility as per the upgrade directions, were having some weird issues with our user defined fields and tables.
Our user defined fields that used to be alpha-numeric when set up in B1 are now in the database as nvarchar(MAX), even after updating the fields in the Manage User Defined Fields screen. B1 is obviously not setting the right field information as per its interface.
Were can no longer add records to user defined tables through the B1 interface, though we can add them fine through SQL Server or an ODBC interface. The error we are getting is
[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '-3 @PASSWORDS' to data type int. (CINF)
. I dont understand where this problem is coming from because there isnt even a data field that is an integer, so I dont know what its trying to convert.

User Defined Fields are read-only for a specific user

I have a user that has lost her ability to edit user defined fields. They are all grayed-out for all UDFs, all document types. Other users have access to these fields. I've even copied the authorizations from a user not experiencing the problem, but with no positive results. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
We are on SBO 8.8 PL 16

This might be the Authorisation issue......
Please check properly whether you have given Full authorisation for Form Setting to such user or not and check by enabling it through Form Setting

Limited Logistics users and User Defined Fields - UDF

The SAP "Overview of SAP Business One License User Types" shows, in the last section under General, that only Professional users have any access at all to User-defined fields and tables.
This seems counterintuitive as these fields are usually set up for others to see and to use.
What is the real scoop on this?

Hi Sal,
It only means Professional User License has unlimited usages of UDF & UDT including managing and defining them.
To read the values and use them are available to all license types.

We need to add field into CM21.Through structure 'CYUSER' and IMG setting(t-code:CY38), i did let user defined field appears in CM21 layout. But question is
it's empty, how can i get the field data successfully? Need I select data through
enhancement CYPP0002?

User defined Field Size limit

Hi,
would anyone know if there is a limit of the number of user defined fields that can be addeded to SAP Business One (2004A on SQL server 2000)?
I think there is (in a diffrenet way). It looks like there is a maximmum byte size - 8060.
I have the following user fields already in the business partner master data screen .
A - alphanumeric size = 50
B - alphanumeric size = 20
C - alphanumeric size = 20
D - alphanumeric size = 20
E - alphanumeric size = 254
If I try to change B to size 254 ,This is the error message I get.
"[CUFD] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Warnning: The table 'ACRD' has been created but it's maximum row size 'User Fieds - Descr' (8522) exeeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060)..."
there is nothig else wqrong with the field exept I cannot make it size 254 (I can if I delete the field E though), so I definitely think it is SAP restricting the size. SQL Server does not have this size restriction. I can manually go and change the size using SQL Server Enterprise manager for example.
I have managed to change the size directly on ACRD, and
CUFD but dont thinks this is a very approprite way of handilng it.
Is this an undocumented restriction/feature in SAP or have I missed reading about this ?

Hi Spiros,
I hope you are right. But I have experiences this with many atleast 3 other seperate installations. They were all SQL Server, ranging from Enterprise versio, to Developer version to standard.
However I can directly change the size in SQL Server without an issue as I mentioned. This proves that this not an issue with SQL Server. Could it be some sort of a flag in the SAP? I get this on the SAP US demo company for example.
If anyone else had the problem please do respond.

How to provide value to a User Defined field thru java code

I am using OIM 11.1.1.5.
I have a user defined field called Unique-Customer-Number. This field need to be pre-populated during user creation (using OIM Web UI) and the value comes from a java code.
Can any of you tell me the high level steps to implement this.

Confirmation of User defined fields on CO11N

Dear All,
Can anybody tell me how to confirm user defined field during operation confirmation of an order. I have created a user field key and assigned in the operation detail screen in routing. Is it required to include a freely defined screen for CO11N in customizing or any other setting is there.

you have to create a customer defined screen and attach as in the link. Add the Freely definable detail screen in OPK0. Confirm the user defined fields.

User defined fields in Crystal layout

Hi All,
I want to add user defined field values in crystal layout for Sales order, but its not listed in RDR1 tables there but it's available in SAP query manager view. How can i get that in Crystal reports. please suggest on this.

You can then remove the key and the fields in the database will keep their correct definitions rather than varchar(max) which is causing the initial problems.
Adding extra keys may uause performance issues if you leave them there for a large table.
I have also had issues of varchar(max) fields causing database connection issues when running the reports in 8.81 PL07.

Issue while deleting user defined field in oim 11.1.1.3

All,
Made a mistake while creating user defined field called "Profile for" (loing to OIM -> advanced -> configuration -> User configuration). We are trying to delete it. It appears to get deleted from user attributes screen. But when we run LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation Task we get the following error below:
oracle.iam.ldapsync.exception.ProcessLDAPReconDataException: oracle.iam.ldapsync.exception.ReconEventCreationException: Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException: Profile for - LDAPUser object does not exists for resource object
Is any thing else need to be deleted adn cleaned up?

How do i check what resource object the recon task is running against. here is what i found so far.
I cannot find LDAPUser resource object when i query Resource Management -> Resource Objects in design console. Same thing with Manage Resource and search (here i only find Xellerate User, Xellerate Organiztion, USERS_GTC, and Installation) in OIM advanced administration menu.
The LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation job itself has the following parameters (batch size, last change number, OIM employee type, OIM User organization name, OIM user type)
I also decompiled LDAPUserChangesReconTask and it is looking for LDAPUser metadata from MDS directly.

User defined field in SD and its link to Value field in COPA (??)

We have created one "Z" field i.e. user defined field and its in VBRP Table. This is a quantity field. to update the values in this field we have used an exit in sales and distribution module. Now, by defining this exit values are correctly populated in VPRP table on line item basis.
Requirement here is we need to get this field in COPA, for same i have carried out the quantity field assignment to value field (KE4M).
Even after this configuration profitability segment is not updated.

In the past I did something similar and had to use function module EXIT_SAPLKEAB_001 in enhancement COPA0002 to populate the field. To use this exit you'll first need to add a user exit id to your valuation strategy (transaction KE4U). The help on the function module is pretty good, but if you run into a problem let me know.

If you add the UDF in BOM-Title then the UDF will be in OITT table.
If you add the UDF in BOM-Rows then the UDF will be in ITT1 table.
You will find BOM-Title or BOM-Rows in Production Module (ie., in User Defined Fields --> Manage User Fields)
In PLD, You can print the UDF if you search in the above said tables.

How to change the text of a user defined field in dynamic selections?

Logical Database PSJ is used by t code CJI3 - we added a couple of user fields into the dynamic selections of CJI3.
Now - how to change the text of this user filed (USR01 of structure PRSP_R in logical database PSJ)?
Found an OSS note - 86980 - that tells that this is not possible.
But when we read the documentation on the user field (CJI3 - dynamic selections - double click on user field - F1), it shows the following text:
User-defined field in which you can enter general information with a length of up to 20 characters.
Dependencies
The names (key words) for user-defined fields depend on the field key.
Now the question is where to change the field key..

My code is working, i.e. when I create a new BP and choose another type in my comboBox, the information is saved.
When I search a BP who has this type, SAP find the good BP.
But, I don't see where the data is stored, I don't see anything which make the difference between 2 BP with 2 different types in the OCRD table.
So, where SAP can make the difference?
