Cmd Tab greying out creative suite User Interface

Sometimes when I switch to a CS4 application using 'cmd Tab' the User Interface, Menu bar, tool palettes etc are a dark gray colour - grayed out and inactive. If I click on them they return to their usual appearance but its really annoying - is this a known issue? is there a fix?

Mac creative suite users with Windows RDS

I am trying to find a Mac based remote desktop / remote app / terminal service system to share Creative suite.
We have a three site connected network with a central file at our main office. This file store is served through a Virtual Windows file server and all of the windows users connect to the file store and associated applications using Microsoft Remote desktop servers.
Most of the time this works well for the Mac users, however, many of them are Adobe Creative suite users and work most of the time using Mac keyboard shortcuts. This does not translate from the local Mac user into a Windows TS environment and therefore we are investigating a Mac based TS system.
We have looked a at iRapp and been disappointed and Aquaconnect hasn’t come up with the goods
Two questions
… what experience / advice do you have for a Mac server based remote system
… if that isn’t feasible, what next. Window TS with Windows Creative suite works beautifully, however it is no good for the Mac users as the keyboard shortcuts don’t translate… are there any solutions to this

64bit versions of Windows support 32bit apps. This point is utterly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. There will definitely be problems, but not because of CS4 being 32bit. More to the point you should be concerned about driver compatibility and the security stuff in Win 8.1. which is something you'd have to take care of in any version.

For XD01, Sales area data tab greyed out

User has XD01,XD02,XD05,XD06,XD07,XD99.when user tries to use XD01 with parameters customer,sales org, dist channel and division when go to customer : sales area data screen,sales area data tab is greyed out.It shouldnot be greyed out.what is the cause of it.user has proper authorization for SD.

Try with OBD2 tcode...
Also, make sure that while creating customer, you enter sales org., dis channel, & division....

Manage Spaces Tab Greyed Out

I can't access the Manage Spaces tab, it's greyed out. We have opened all the permissions and still can't access the tab. Any suggestions?

You must create a user profile with rights in explorer, access the Level Access and create a new profile to explorer, later setting the new profile to user or group.

Can only open 4 tabs in window. Then + button doesn't work, and New Tab greyed-out in menu.

Running Firefox 7.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.1.
Number of tabs that can be opened in a single window is limited. Can't currently open more than four. Clicking the "+" button to the right of open tabs does nothing, and the "New Tab" option in the file menu is greyed out.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Firewall tab greyed out in System Preferences - have I been hacked?

I am running 10.4.11. In System Preferences, under Sharing, the Firewall tab is greyed out, suggesting my firewall is not running or has been tampered with.
So I did some poking:

Should I be concerned? Am I being paranoid?
If I want to reset and restart my Firewall, how do I do that, if the tab is greyed out in System Preferences?
If I want to load a backup copy of my firewall configuration, what file do I need to copy from my backup disk? There is no /etc/firewall.conf on my system.

As I recall, if you do any sort ipfw stuff in command line under Tiger, that that made Sharing > Firewall gray out. Try doing a sudo ipfw flush then see if that lets you reconfigure from Sys Prefs.
This article discusses Tiger's default firewall settings with web sharing turned on. That will give you a start in seeing what you should have on. This article may help a little, too, if you are running services or have certain softwares doing different things (gaming, etc.)

User Defined Fields greyed out for one user

Hi Experts,
One of our users is a Super User but on the Business Partner Master Data screen, the User Defined Fields are greyed out.
This is user specific as the issue is happening for the same user on 2 seperate PCs.
Other users can update these UDFs - any suggestions?

Cannot access settings for the User Defined Field(UDF)
Other terms
UDF, user defined field, sbo-udf, settings for UDF are inactive, the settings for the udf are greyed out.
Reason and Prerequisites
Need to use the Settings option to order the udf.
In Tools -> User Defined fields -> Settings the option 'Settings' is greyed out and inactive.
Solution
If in Tools -> User Defined fields -> settings and this option is not available then return to the document and click anywhere in the main document window.
Now return to Tools -> User Defined fields -> settings and this option will now be active.

Work flow Icon Is Greyed out for One user

We are facing issue for one user in SAP easy Access .
Workflow Icon,User Menu ,SAP Menu buttons is Greyed out but user able to access transaction SBWP.
Can you please give solution why those buttons are greyed out and few button's are (Enabled attched In scrren shot)?Do I need to maintain any where user settings
Please let me any user specific settings is missing for that user ?
My Analysis - I have checked with user and I tried to change in SAP Easy Access ->Extras->Settings Still not able to achive any .

802.11x tab greyed out/inaccessible

So I'm trying to configure access to a network using TTLS, however when I click on the 802.11x tab, it's inaccessible! Nothing happens when I click it, and it becomes greyed out after I click it. I'm worried that I might have to reinstall Leopard, maybe the wireless stack is messed up or something. I've tried Googl'ing this, haven't found a solution yet. I remember at one point it had been working, but it's suddenly become completely unreachable.

Reinstalling the 10.5.6 combo update doesn't take too long to do, is way way faster than an entire reinstall, and might fix this problem.

Artwork tab greyed out for video

I created a movie in iMovie, then clicked File > Share > iTunes to load the movie into iTunes. Within iTunes, the movie appears as a H.264 M4V file. So far, so good.
When I click Option - Get Info within iTunes to edit the tag data, the Artwork tab is greyed out. I can edit all the other tag data, but I cannot add an image in the Artwork tab. Any ideas how to un-grey the Artwork tab?
FYI that I can access the Artwork tab for other movies that I created in iMovie. So it generally works ok, but for some reason it's not working for the movie that I created this week.
I am using OS X Yosemite with the most recent versions of iMovie and iTunes.

I ran the iMovie output file thru Handbrake to produce a new H.264 M4v file, then loaded it into iTunes. I now can edit all the tag data, including artwork, on the new file. Still don't know why the first file did not work, but at least I have a work-around ...

Extensions tab greyed out, yet extension manager indicates the extensions are enabled

Recently downloaded trial version of photoshop cc (wanted my extensions to work before I purchased subscription), I also downloaded extension manager cc.
I installed a particular extension called Kubota Action Dashboard, it is enabled in the extension manager.
For some reason though when I open photoshop cc the extensions tab is greyed out and cannot be clicked on.
Any idea why this is the case? Why is the extension recognised in extension manager but not photoshop itself?

To answer my own question, it appears to be an issue with the maker of the extension and not with the adobe products.
Just found this. It's probably the same with other extensions too, the developers just have to catch up.

On RSS feeds "Open all in tabs" seems to ALWAYS be greyed out.

I have lived with this bug for a loooong time since an update, I think it was around FF13.
It is greyed out on ALL machines I know of... I have seen the bug on several machines with completely independent bookmarks, seen on multiple windows versions
Tried all tricks and NONE worked. Just tried to start in safe mode (did not help) tried to start in safe mode and reset EVERYTHING - but the bug persists.
Googling the bug gives thousands and thousands of hits, so this is still an existing bug NOT related to add-ons.
The reset saves the bookmarks, so I guess the bug MIGHT be found inside the bookmark-database corrupted at some upgrade.
If this is not a bug, but an intentional removal of a function, then it should be hidden not greyed.

that adds the function back in a slightly awkward way.
....But why not keep it as an About:config option?
But even better would be to replace it with "Open all UNREAD in tabs"

"inspection lot stock" tab grey out

Dear Gurus,
I am facing subject problem while completing UD. In QA32, i have recorded results, then accepted the lot under "partially rejected" option. I want to post some of the stock qty to UR and rest to Blocked. But as all the fields are grey out, i am not able to do so. I can only clist on "propose" button, by which all the stock can move to UR.Is this an authorsation issue?

I am sure by this action the status of the inspection lot would have become UD SPCO.
The system in not allowing to enter the stock because of the "stock posting praposal "
In QS51--->agsint the UD code partially rejected -->check whether you have made/entered "stock posting praposal "
as "Post to unrestricted.
If yes then remove it.System will allow to post the stock in different pockets................

ITunes Application Tab Greyed Out

i got a new computer with windows 7 64 (my original computer was vista 32) and reinstalled itunes and reconnected my ipod touch. now when i connect my ipod the applications on my ipod are all greyed out and i can't access them. do i need to go on my old computer and move the files over that i had downloaded before before i can sync it? I have the latest ipod touch with updated software.

New App store interface tabs greyed out sometimes..

Since the new app store look came out, often I see the tabs but they are unresponsive and I have to close app store and reopen it to be able to click on Updates for instance. Anyone else see this?

I think that it might be related to DNS and having multiple network connections...
I encountered the problem for the first time yesterday on a new 2013 iMac whilst I was having problems with Xcode not being able to connect to a version control server (which has worked fine until yesterday).
The only things that have changed recently are that I have switched off a local DNS server (using OSX server) and that I enabled wifi to perform an air drop.
Yesterday the suggestion to disable/re-enable wifi didn't solve the problem, and today now that the icons are back working again and switching wifi on/off has no effect.
